Probably the best Chinese I have had in a long time, delicious.

This place never let's me down with regards to gorgeous food, thats why we return again and again. :)

second order, not as good as the first time, also order a roast duck with plum sauce and got duck with pineapple and cucumber sauce ... did not taste like plum at all lol

Food wasn't as good as I remember

wouldnt order again. shredded chicken was more like huge chunks, sause was like water and no taste. Fried rice was dry and tasteless, chips were oily and burnt, did nit taste fresh. Did not worth the money.

Good food and generous portion size. Unfortunately delivery took almost 2 hours. (saturday night)

Food arrived very quickly! Chinese is always a hit & miss for us. Tonight it was good. No weird tasting chicken and chips were fresh and the curry sauce wasn't too hot. We enjoyed it! Free crackers included.

Food is usually good here, but very disappointing tonight. Chicken fried rice was dry. chicken balls and rice was covered in grease and the taste was horrible.

Chicken fried rice has fresh chicken breast and fluffy rice, the curry chip was great and the spring rolls weren't the wee tiny ones and tasted lovely. Definitely order again!!

Staying at the hospital with the wife and my first time ordering from here it's just beautiful. The delivery driver was a lovely guy

Brilliant food. Chips were spot on, chicken was lovely and crispy, even the onions on top were super fragrant. The boneless ribs were to die for. Best of all, the food was actually hot when it arrived. Best Chinese I’ve had in a long time.

Nicest Chinese I've found in Belfast in 10 years.

Definitely better than the reviews suggest. Good quality ingredients and everything seemed very fresh. Knocking a star off because they do thin noodles instead of thick and they forgot the curry sauce - a cardinal sin.

Would not recommend. Did not honour prices on website and charged us extra at the door. Food arrived 40 minutes late, cold and stodgy. Ribs rubbery, no prawns in the prawn toast, we ordered a special curry, instead received an onion curry. Used to be a favourite take away but unfortunately has really went downhill in the past year or two. Will not be ordering from them again as the past 5 orders have been unpleasant.

It was my first time ordering from this place and I can honestly say never again as I ordered a kids chicken fried rice and the grease in it was u real and the chicken balls dripping with grease each bite so in the bin it went

Honey chilli chicken fabulous, highly recommend. Portion is a bit large so hubby and I shared and had plenty. Try the boneless salted chilli ribs, again there is enough to share unless you have a really big appetite! Have ordered from Hungry Monk before and will continue to do so. Fantastic food and great flavour. You won't regret it.

Great Chinese - best in east Belfast! The crispy shredded chicken with honey & chilli sauce is amazing :)

I'm not one for leaving reviews however the service and the poor quality of the food has forced my hand. Salted chilli chicken was chewy, fatty and undercooked. Tasted bland and was mostly batter and fat. Worst prawn crackers I've ever tasted, they aren't fresh and are all chewy - we've had them multiple times in the hope of improvement but i guess that's why they're free. Delivery driver leaves food sitting outside door in pouring down rain. Make sure you keep an eye out for delivery because he will either not knock the door and say he did or he will try and put the door through when he does knock it. Won't be using this chinese again, we have had too many problems and have complained several times. Nothing has changed and has only gotten worse. It's a pitty as it started nice but like everything good it doesn't last for long.

First time trying here. Got a chicken curry instead of beef and a portion of rice with no curry like ordered. Didn't notice until it was all put out, so couldn't return it.

Went there after receiving a menu through junk mail.Junk is the right word.Ordered crispy duck,got soggy duck,also crispy chicken in honey and chili sauce.Came like big chicen balls,onion and watery water as sauce.DISGUSTING. Will never be back.Needs closed down,oh and on way out its council hygiene 3,dont think so it was a dirty place,avoid.

I have been going here every week for over 3 years. I love the vegetable satay. The chunky home style chips are also amazing. Great quality ingredients. They are always happy to oblige with dietary requirements. I order for collection and it's always ready when I arrive. Alex knows my order before I even ask lol

Love their soft Noodles, always courteous on the phone and driver always fast and kind.

Was disappointed this time, sweet and sour had a strange taste so i couldn't eat it. Food is usually very good

Order from here for my mum first of all the delivery driver wasn't very pleasant and found it hard to work out to press 11 call for my mums address then my mum said he wasn't very nice either. Then then sent the wrong order, which my mum couldn't eat, so it was a total waste of time and money.

Sweet and sour sauce don’t go well with the kids and they usually love this they said it tastes more like wine which is great for wine lovers 😂. The sweet chilli and garlic chicken was not for us either more garlic and chilli rather than sweet we have ordered this dish from many restaurants and it would be more crispy chicken and a thicker sauce but every cook is different I suppose but The curry from your restaurant is delicious you can’t beat it and the rice very fresh All in a mixed review but not to say that everyone still give there food a go apart from the Cantonese chicken

Lovely chicken curry and the tastiest duck rolls I've ever had.

For once we have a restaurant that when it marks dishes as being 'Spicy' they mean it, not that the Honey-Chilli sauce will overwhelm you, but it has a decent heat. Speaking of which, this restaurant is also true to its word in the 'Chef's Recommendations' which were surprisingly well put together and worth going back for. Sundries were well prepared too, but when it comes to the traditional dishes like their Special Fried Rice there was nothing to write home about, almost as if they were following the exact same recipe as every other Chinese in the country, which you might be tired of by now. That being said, there was some care and attention given to the marinades and glazes on the meats so I doubt there's too many complaints, even if it was otherwise dull. All in all, I think I'll be back next time I have the craving.

Ordered very early for delivery at 8pm. Food arrived at 8.45. Chips and chicken balls burned. Disappointing given standard is usually spot on.

The sweet and sour sauce tasted nothing like what sweet and sour sauce should taste like, ended up eating dry chicken balls :(

Portion sizes not great! Especially with the size of tubs the special fried rice and chicken curry came in expected more. Good decent tho

Ordered through just eat driver couldn't find address phoned 2 hours later stating that cause driver couldn't find address I would have to collect as they were to busy to send driver back went on jus eat to cancel they had put that order was delivered so had to explain to just eat that it wasn't and had investigation into this had to wait 5 days on refund joke don't order from these gangsters take your money and don't deliver customer service was awful as Wen phoned up the check of them to ask me to collect it over 2 hours later trying to say driver couldn't find address Wen they had delivered before didn even send driver out

Ordered at 18.20 estimated delivery of 19.10. Half 7 came and went no delivery at 5 to 8 almost and hour late and an hour and 40 mins after I placed the order. Was told by restaurant's oh were just finishing making it now. No apology. I understand being busy etc but shouldn't give estimated delivery times if you're not going to be able to fulfill. Finally got my delivery at 8.10 nearly 2 hours after it was placed. Couldn't fault the food but service over the phone and delivery time left a lot to be desired.

The worst Chinese meal I have ever had. Satay was nothing like a satay, meat chewy and 2 small prawns for a special meat. Never again. Sorry

Found a bluebottle in food. Until now was a very regular customer but restaurant were not interested when informed. Couldn’t eat from here again

Food was great, Sliced chicken dinner very filling and tasty, mushrooms in gravy add that perfect side dish..Throughly enjoyably. Arrived hot and in great time.. Always buy the extra side of Noodles for a snack hours after Dinner so satisfying!

I've always been a fan esp of the chilli chicken wings starter. I was disappointed that there was half a box to what there used to be. Ordered the ribs and it was mostly fat and grisle, they were inedible. Order came really early despite 45 -60 min estimated delivery time, still had to be reheated in microwave tho. The chicken breast curry was nice though. I would probably try it again as it's usually better

Awful. Was sceptical when food was ordered & presented within 5mins - that was first warning bell sounding* Ordered chow mein with chicken - chicken slices were cold, not cooled down but cold. Second meal was plain chow mein & had asked for that with CURRY sauce. Arrived home to find that it was covered in some kind of red sweet sauce that looked like rather than heat curry, they had used a bottle of sweet chilli over it. I was that fed up I couldn’t even be bothered ringing to complain but most definitely will never be back again. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Just on hoilday in Belfast ordered a takeaway and was pleased with the service and delivery

Arranged a collection for my mum to pick up but she thought I ordered over the phone so ordered again 🙄 anyway she paid for her order own order and paid for mine even though I’d already paid by card. On her way home he phoned to say he missed an item 😒 so we paid over £60 for 3 dishes. Guy in shop wants me to get refund from justeat rather than just giving the cash back. Awful service

The food quality is fine but every time I order from here the sauces have absolutely no flavour at all. It's extremely disappointing.
