Hugo's in Wyre

We had a family trip to Hugo's (our favorite place for ice cream) with Granny and some little ones. There's loads of choice of sweet and savoury food, hot and cold drinks, and it's really good value. The staff are lovely too. Sometimes Hugo's opens all week during school holidays so it's worth checking their website if Google says it's going to be closed.

Just popped in for a ice cream as wallings had a huge queue . Same ice cream and a little wait. Nice clean and bright

I oderd a breakfast it was awful, over cooked and dry. The sausage had a funny tang to it, not nice, and was not cheap. Won't call again.

I really fancied a full English breakfast... auction eats wasn’t open so we thought we would try Hugo’s for a change. Unfortunately with the temporary traffic lights outside we arrived 3 minutes after they stopped serving breakfast .. I apologised but enquired whether they could ask if a full breakfast was an option but fair enough it was lunch service now so looking at the options I thought I would have a bacon butty. We waited well over half an hour ( there was a table eating full English breakfasts but no one else in the place). My Bacon sandwich came but when I looked it had one rasher of bacon on the bread ..it didn’t even cover the bread… unbelievable!! Literally the worse bacon sandwich I have ever had ... Loaded fries .. ok portion but very greasy .. I would say it is more like cheesy chips than loaded fries!!! Ok but not the best at all Won’t be coming again... EVER I did mention it to the member of staff and showed him the inside of the sandwich and he just said sorry about that and walked off!!!

Well who would have thought a great auntie feeling sooo impressed with a soft play area, she HAD to write a review. We arranged to meet my lovely niece and equally lovely boyfriend and 2 little ones at Hugos as it was half way for both of us. It was my niece’s boyfriend idea what a great choice weather was awful but inside surely cheered you up. Now not having children myself I wouldn’t say I’m an authority on soft play ! Lovely clean area for children to play dressing up outfits and an area for very little ones if they’re not quite big enough to climb. The prices are very reasonable we all had coffees to start, lunch pannnis toasted tea cakes, chips fish fingers cappcinos , tea £47. All hot served with a smile as were all the staff very pleasant.no room for ice cream I’m sorry to say. Maybe next time. All play areas were cleaned in between sessions again impressive. It’s nice to know some businesses do get things right ! Thanks again and don’t hesitate take the kids ! !

Great little local business selling cooked food, coffee/Tea and ice-cream. It has it's own indoor play area for the little ones and is also dog friendly.

Quite a hidden place but once visited you'll want to go back. The food is amazing, the staff are lovely. And you can take dogs there either eat or out welcome inside or outside 😉

Called for 2 breakfast meals, The tea arrived 1st and we started drinking it thinking the meal was on its way. Finished the drinks and still no meal after about another 8 mins the food arrived, It was like a kids meal the portions were that small, And one of the breakfast meals we a vegi one and come with peppers on it, (who the hell as peppers first thing on a morning) no ash browns on any of the brakefast the food was not cooked properly, On a possitive note, The place was very clean and looked nice,

Loads of flavours to choose from and reasonably priced.

We stop off at Hugo's often for breakfast, a dessert or to use the soft play. It's spacious inside and out, service is great and the facilities are well presented and clean. The food is great, a good spot for the family.

This is just what Garstang needed, a new soft play area! I really loved it and so did my 5yr old, the place is spotless and they go to great efforts to follow covid guidelines I felt very safe here. The staff are super friendly and the snacks are really tasty! My only cristsism is to remind staff not to pass hot drinks over babies and to go around to the side they arent on, I had to ask a staff member to pass around and not over babies head like she did 2 times prior with pots of boiling tea! I felt really bad for her as she was only young and probably didnt even think, its just something safety wise that needs to be passed to the team. She listened and was very professional about it so I respected that. Other than that it would of been 5 stars - and we will definitely visit again and finally thank you for bringing this lovely space to the area 😁

I had been wanting to stop for so long! Finally did on this mega hot day with my little girl, my son and the pup. There were so many flavors and combos to choose from! It was great! The waffle cone is the best, so good! I was going to get the dog a plain vanilla scoop in a tub but was offered dog friendly frozen yogurt instead. Needless to say it went quick! I also found the prices to be very reasonable and the staff very friendly. We will definitely go back ND try more flavors and dishes. Highly recommend!

No seating if ordering from the side hatch, however no queue either, tried Wallings own take away early and that was packed. Great selection of Wallings ice cream here and decent portion size too, you really don't need three scoops

I've eaten breakfast in many places, all over the country/World. I can honestly say this was the best. Everything was fresh, hot and tasty. It was the perfect amount, it wasn't overly greasy, perfect. The ice creams, milkshakes, cakes are also very good. They do their best with service, maybe a bit slow but worth the wait. Defo many more visits planned, make sure you hook during busy times. The picture is a freakshake 😋😋😋

Well it was the 1st time i have ever been to this place and didn't even get to sit down and will never be going again. I arrived with my brother and 3 children and waited outside to be seated as requested by the staff. After around 15 mins wait a young couple who had just arrived just walk up and decide to take the table that became free. I approached them and politely said "i think this is ours as we've been waiting" to be told it was theirs as a lady inside (who didn't work there by the way) said they could have it and just decided to sit down. As my brother confronted them and explained we had been waiting they still sat down and argued it was their table. Staff were made aware of the situation where a member of staff then got "in a strop" and put another table outside (we was previously told by said member of staff they were not able to do this hence the 15 mins wait) by this time i had to leave as my 10 year old son felt really awkward, anxious and became unwell leaving my brother there with the 2 other children. I had heard very good things about this place but i certainly wont be saying good things about it. Embarrassing!!!

Shocked really. Read all the reviews, seemed very promising. Myself and a friend arrived at Hugos and advised the staff member that we had made a reservation. She then rudely stated we were 30 minutes late. Correct - we was - but we also tried calling 4 times to let them know which the response was 'Well the phone isn't here'. Not our problem! We did do all we could to inform them prior to arriving late. We were then seated and waited around 15 minutes for the menus so we could order. We waited another 15 minutes for someone to come over to take the order. The food itself didn't take very long and I have no complaints there. Very enjoyable. I then went to pay. The original member of staff that queried our reservation looked straight through me so I was waiting another 5 mninutes for the blonde lady (she was lovely and much more accomodating). I don't know if the the first member of staff we dealt with was having a bad day etc but first impressions count and we couldn't wait to pay and run out to the car to leave!

Food is good and reasonable price ans the staff are very welcoming and friendly but it is constantly cold in here which is not great for me personally

Hugo’s is well adapted for the subpar crowd, from its sticky tables to the view of the carpet shops overflow. I would have enjoyed the ice creams more if we were allowed to choose our own flavours, don’t bother! You get told what flavours you are having (without even being listed on the menu)! We had ordered a sharing fruity trough and was told it was topped with fresh fruit, since when rock hard skittles and last years Halloween jelly tots fresh?! The ice cream we ate was average, tasting almost all the same, bearing in mind there were 12 scoops. Meh.

I've been here many times, usually with kids. Lovely, friendly staff, who are making a lot of effort to ensure social distancing whilst still providing a great service. The menu is good value, and we especially like the breakfasts. They have a good selection of Wallings Farm ice creams, and a whole load of sprinkles, sauces etc for the kids (or adults!) to choose from. Highly recommended.

Our family adores this venue which never fails to provide a nice afternoon treat. Visit with someone fairly old, because they'll keep you entertained as they wax lyrical about all the old LP covers filling an entire wall, with some classic covers such as Queen, ELO, Yes, Bowie and Hendrix, to name but a few. Then there's the extensive choice of icecream flavours from which you can custom build your own selection. You can take up one of Hugo's delicious 12 scoop challenge dishes, or alternatively you might prefer a sharing bowl. Allergies are well catered for with a range of fruit sorbets. You can even extend your trip to include a full English breakfast, served by the friendly staff, and you'll have ticked off a nice couple of hours with the family.

We arrived late in the day while they were setting up for a child's party, the staff were still friendly and accommodating. We even got to meet a Disney Princess. Food was great, service fast and the owners clearly have good taste in music. Very friendly owner apologised for us not having long but we were happy to eat fast and get back on the road, we didn't feel chased out at all. Lovely place, will visit again.

Called in for ice cream on a cold, wet, blustry February afternoon. Live music playing and our (big) dog was more than welcome inside. Went for a cooked breakfast a couple of days later and staff were so welcoming we found it hard to leave! We'll go back next time we're close.

Went to see Spiderman with the grand kids. Absolutely brilliant Spiderman got all the kids involved and well worth the visit.Cafe also very good and friendly atmosphere.

Drove through with a friend arriving at 4.50pm (they advertise everywhere that its open till 5). Upon arriving and walking towards the door, a youngish lad who was carrying in some chairs closed the door and put down the shutters in our face. Absolute disgrace to do that to a customer. Do not advertise your open till 5 if your not going to serve at 4.50. Won't ever return.

My daughter and I stopped off for lunch after a trip to Lancaster. It’s a bright, clean dog friendly cafe. We had a panini with a bowl of chips and then one of their special ice cream sundaes which use Wallings ice cream. The panini could have done with a bit more filling and it did taste like the oil used for the chips could do with a change but I’ve had worse. The sundae was delicious. The staff seemed slightly inexperienced (no knife and fork brought with the main course which had a salad. There was also cleaning stuff left on one of the tables. It’s ok specialises in ice cream really.

Popped in for a quick lunch with the kids. We only had bowls of chips and drinks but the chips were lovely. Looking at everyone's food around us and it looks great! Definitely worth a visit. Nice place inside very clean and tidy

What a great place meaning to call in Sunday I did for breakfast which was superb the place is super clean really friendly,and the atmosphere and music was fantastic the food was hot fresh and really tasty, they will definitely see more of us.

I used the sandwhich shack behind the parlour first to feed my kids after a day out, DELICIOUS HOT food and lovely woman! So considerate considering I had forgotten cash, she waited for it even tho she was closing. And then the lovely ice cream attendant at Hugo's after was great, gave solid opinions on ice cream flavours, tiny tasters on spoons so kids chose a new flavour they would eat and was generally great and patient with us. The prices are reasonable and service was quick. Happy mum and happy kids all round! Thank you for your efforts. Deffo coming back again on our next holiday xx

Called here for breakfast after passing many times. The staff were lovely but unfortunately the food wasn’t that great. Full English breakfast looked like it had been thrown on the plate. Everything on top of one another and the egg although soft was all brown around the edges didn’t look very appealing at all. Bacon on toast was good. A bit more attention to detail would cost nothing and would make all the difference. We will give it another chance later in the year

A wonderful cafe, on the A6 south of Lancaster, Lancashire. You can sit inside or out. They serve snacks, hot and cold drinks, and the wonderful Wallings ice cream! There is also nostalgia pinned to the walls in the form of classic pop and rock album sleeves! You can even order a song to be played whilst partaking in refreshments. Local or visitor it is worth calling in!

This is a lovely little cafe/ice-cream shop. Huge selection of ice-creams and sundaes. Lots of car parking at the side, front and back. The owner was lovely enough to say we could park in front of their carpet shop next time we visit as I’d parked around the back. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Dogs are allowed. They hold children parties and have menu for special occasions where you can upgrade if you wish. This place is definitely worth a visit. We’ve been numerous times and never been disappointed.

Yum! 😊 Great place. We noticed this place whilst driving back from Lancaster one day and noted it. We went this afternoon and were not disappointed. 3 scoop ice cream, generous portions, relaxing atmosphere and staff were really nice too. Will definitely go back 😊😊😊

Came upon this by accident lovely fry up breakfast a grand pot of tea super friendly staff

Called into Hugos on Friday to get some lunch. We ordered 3 takeaway soups.We were really disappointed, it was pretty much cold and not very tasty. We have had ice creams before from here which were great. I know they don't normally do takeaway but for 3 soups At a cost of £11.85 it was really disappointing.

Enjoyed a delicious sweet potato & red pepper soup. My father had a delicious Greek salad sandwich. They also have a great selection of ice cream 😋

We have visited here quite a lot recently and Hugos never fail us. Excellent food and freshly made! Polite service and clean.
