Terrible food!!! Service was good though. The food was cold and rubbery, and then they add an automatic tip charge! Will never go again.

Ate here last night and wasn't sure what to expect. But all 4 of us enjoyed our main meals of burger and the NY strip steaks were huge and delicious. Cocktails were lovely. And not overpriced. It wasnt so busy when we ate but service was spot on. Seb was one of our servers and looked after us. Even brought us a plain fresh lot of chips as we found the cajun spiced ones too spicey. Overrall an enjoyable experience

Overall the food was very tasty - the BBQ cauliflower wings are amazing!! I also had a vegan burger, but it was two patties from the kids meal that had been put into one, as they ran out of vegan burgers but we weren’t informed until after placing our order. It worked out alright though as it was nice tasting. However, I also asked for no coleslaw but it was included - not such a big deal as it was in a separate pot and I appreciate there was 9 of us, so it’s easy to get confused. When it came to paying the bill we were sat for ages trying to work out who owed what due to a service charge being added to the overall price instead of the price minus the deposit. My boyfriend’s sister also ordered the vegan burger but changed it to something else when we were told they ran out, yet it was kept on the receipt as well as the dish she exchanged. Thankfully we were meticulous and realised we were being charged for something we didn’t receive - which would have been like £14 extra… I appreciate it gets confusing when people change orders but all it required was someone to take it off the bill straight away after changing our order.

Six of us and toddler visited on our last night. We had a great time, Ben our main server was brilliant he had a great rapport with us and made the night. On arriving our 18 month old child was fast asleep, shattered with all the activities, they moved the table to accommodate the push chair at our side. Food great no complaints at all, wings burgers fajitas all well cooked and served quickly. All the staff kept us informed with the storm raging outside with trees and branches coming down with torrential rain.

Had a lovely meal at hucks! Everything came out fast, and the food was amazing! Cannot complain. A complete 360 of my experience last year! Our server david was amazing! He was very attentive and made sure everything was perfect! He was super friendly and chatty, along with everyone else who worked there. I will definitely be back when we return!

Overpriced for average food! So it wasn’t awful but it wasn’t great either! My daughter had the steak - she enjoyed it but for £30 I would have expected more! My other daughter and I shared nachos and chicken wings between us - Nachos portion was enormous but mainly dry tortillas - they were super stingy with the toppings! The chicken wings were absolutely drenched in a strange flavored bbq sauce - again not horrendous but also not the best! We each had a Coke Zero! So for 3 meals (one of which - the Nachos was a starter) and 3 non-alcoholic drinks the bill was a whopping £78! Frankly I would have enjoyed a meal at McDonalds more for far less! That aside - the staff were lovely and the restaurant itself has a nice vibe!

After a long drive to get to center parcs - had purposefully booked one of the earlier slots we could find at 19.45 as travelling with three kids. Waited till 21.00 till the food arrived. When it did arrive i- they had messed up the kids order and food was cold. Bad start to the holiday

We booked this for our first meal at Center Parcs. Sadly I can’t remember the servers name but he was amazing. The food was good and the portion size was huge but I did think it was overpriced. I would book again though.

Booked in for 1730 hrs Thurs eve for four adults Arrived 1720, seated and ordered before 1730 hrs. Drinks arrived promptly . No starters but four simple mains. 1800 hrs , no food. Gentle enquiry. Waiter says sorry, i have chased the kitchen, 5 minutes. 1810 hrs still no food , ready to kick off or walk out. We had paid a deposit on booking, so would owe them nothing . Waiter then apologised again and offered free drinks. Food arrived very shortly after this. Two meals were very good. The two fajitas, one chicken ,, one steak, were supposed to be on sizzling platters. They were hot but not sizzling. The plate to eat off was cold! Not overly impressed. My first choice meal, swordfish was not available , we were told on arrival. It then ordered Hawaiian poke bowl. Not available ! So went for the steak fajita. When I got the bill i realised this had a £3 surcharge over the chicken one. Well , it wasn’t worth £3 for the meat , I can assure you. About five thin strips of beef, would not like to call it steak. Not a great visit. I also don’t think the drinks choice in the venue is great either. Atlantic pale ale, Blue Moon and Coors on draught. Aspall cider. Everything else bottled at high cost. I chose water. Will not be back in Hucks at Whinfell.

The worst burger and chips the three of us have ever tasted! Maybe the real chef was on holiday. Two of us had the blue cheese burger and one the chilly burger all were seriously overcooked and like a solid block. Barely any blue cheese and the fries were far too salty even for me and I like salt. The coleslaw was like a taster as there was no more than a teaspoonful. The chicken wings were good. It is a shame as the waiting staff are so nice.

Really poor portions for main meal. My 1st choice was not available, neither was my 2nd choice, so ended up with a bacon n Cheeseburger at £16.50. Burger arrived in good time, but after seeing it I was totally underwhelmed. A few chips in a metal tin and a burger, no garnish, salad etc. See image, taken 12th Oct 2023 at C.Parcs, Elveden. Compared the burger next to my kids child's burger which was £8.95 as part of a meal deal and there was not much difference in size. Needless to say I had to say something, £16.50 for what was basically a kids burger and a few chips. The menu is quite limited, but the large Nachos are good value at £12.95.

Best restaurant in Center Parcs for food choice. Had the NewYork Strip which strangely came in 2 pieces. However it was a very good steak and it was cooked as I requested. The rest of my family were pleased with what they had as well. Service was good but a refill for 1 drink never arrived. Food was served within 20 minutes which was reasonable. Place was very busy and booking was essential. This place feels a bit more genuine than the other Center Parcs restaurants which are all serving the same food albeit under a slightly different theme. But in Hucks it seems to be a different menu with differently sourced ingredients and the preparation is better. Costs more than other Center Parcs restaurants but it’s worth it. As regular visitors we would definitely go back to Hucks

We had a table booked at 7.45pm, we were still waiting on our food at 8.40pm. Drinks took 20 minutes to arrive and we waited 15 minutes on a refill for our daughter. Staff were friendly enough but definitely not phased at all at the length of time taken. Food was pretty basic, dry and seriously overpriced for what you get.

We go to Hucks every time we go to Center Parcs, the food is amazing, loads of options and loads of deals to make it a reasonable outlay too! I wanted something slightly off menu and they accomodated me which I was really impressed with, great service and great food, really adds to the holiday experience.

I liked it here, we have been to a few of these types of places and it didn't disappoint. not a huge selection on the menu but what they did have was good.

We visited this restaurant after checking out on Friday afternoon. One last meal out before heading home.We paid a deposit like the other food places we visited. Our young daughter had the buffet meal which in itself she loved. There was however no offer of a drink for her even when ordering our own. We had to ask as I thought it may be with the buffet which it wasn't. My partner and I both had burgers (1 beef and one cajun chicken) both were good and the chips were really nicely spiced however I found a bone in my chicken burger which was totally unexpected. This was mentioned at the end of our meal and the waiter stated he would "see what he could do" (not that we were expecting anything to happen). The bill came and we paid, and then we realised they had not taken the money for the deposit already paid off the total bill. All in all, an OK experience but let down by the lack of customer service drinks wise, the chicken bone and the bill at the end. Definitely would not return. And we do plan on visiting whinfell again as apart from this one experience it was great!

Very disappointing. Unlike the rest of the Centerparcs experience, this was poor. Staff working as hard as they could but standards were bad. Unclean, uncleared tables, had to ask for replacement cutlery etc. Food was a good standard once it arrived. Worked ok this industry for a long time and realise that until we as customers start voting with out feet, the understaffing will continue.

Picked up a leaflet on site called ‘Dining Out’ which stated there is soft play at Hucks.It was only after we were seated with the kids already eating from the revolting children’s buffet that we were advised there isn’t any soft play. By then it was too late to leave.Eventually our order was taken only to then be told the Smokehouse Platter wasn’t available - would have been good to know that as we were given the menus, not after we’d chosen.I ended up with really naff nachos. On the waitresses advice I went for a regular size portion for my main course. Husband begrudgingly had to then share his burger with me. They really were poor quality. Apparently there was chilli with them but so little, just cheap chips & lots of nasty cheese sauce. Really unappetising. We had two very bored, young kids climbing the walls whilst we ate our mediocre food, with no soft play as advertised.Also had I known the food the kids would get on the buffet - processed hot dog sausages & chicken nuggets, no way would we have gone then.If dining with young children, avoid at all costs. The food at Bella Pasta is much better for children and they do have soft play.A really disappointing end to what was otherwise a fantastic stay at Center Parcs.
