Booked a table for my aunt and myself online. Had beautiful french onion soup to start. Then followed by chilli beef which was also very tasty. My aunt had battered fish which she enjoyed.

We booked a table at 6:15 p.m., which meant we had an "early bird" special. It was anset menu , with lots of choices. Since we did not have dessert, it was only 20 Euros per person. The choices were amazing, fish and chips and chicken supreme were great. The wine list is very reasonable, and the service was very good. We booked reservations on line, and we were glad we did, people were being turned away every 5 minutes. We loved the food and the service, these servers worked really hard.

Molly's Yard

06/10/2018: Surprisingly quiet downstairs Friday, though upstairs with larger tables and functions could have been busier. By 9:30 pm we were on our own in the quite small lower restaurant.
21/09/2018: Molly’s Yard is one of best ‘hidden gem’ restaurants in Belfast and it’s an absolute delight. Owned by Hilden Brewery.

Benedicts Hotel Restaurant

16/11/2018: When I travel to Belfast I always eat here....Its brilliant food and a brilliant atmosphere..Go before 7pm and many dishes have money off.... The cod or chicken & chorizo in a cream sauce is sublime...
16/09/2018: We had walked to the Botanical Gardens and the Ulster Museum and were returning to our hotel. We noticed the menu at the Benedicts Hotel and it sounded good, especially the Pepper Chicken. We were seated promptly and given instructions about the carvery. We chose the 2-course carvery. I had the mushroom soup and Hubby had the vegetable soup, both very good. Then it went downhill. The pepper chicken was supposed to have some kind of peppercorn gravy. Unfortunately, the person dishing up the food either didn't know this or didn't care as he stood there and waited for me to ask for sauce. I only saw brown gravy, like we get in jars in the US, so that's what I got. Hubby had the ham and turkey with stuffing combo which was also instantly forgettable. Not bad, just ordinary.
