Food very poor real shock as all reviews were good, cold and very greasy, soup beautiful

After spending a few days on holiday in Hopeman we fancied a cheeky Saturday night takeaway and this place did not disappoint as we did not have to wait too long and the food was delicious and very reasonably priced to 😀. Great takeaway, much better than what we have back home in Inverness! Will deffo use again when we visit Hopeman in the near future.

Very very sadly was so looking forward after all the amazing reviews to get my order ,but in this day and age came from Lossiemouth and went to order by card to be TOLD cash only REALLY with Covid I was shocked and had to leave as NO ATM available,YOU must lose so much customers and it doesn’t tell you this onI web site r

We were on holiday , on a cold rainy night and fancied a takeaway.Chip shop closed, and so only the Chinese Takeaway.Menu looked OK - but have to say have never had a chinese meal before where the vegetables were not cooked - they were raw! Also - so stingy on the sauce over my chicken - it all tasted really quite dry.Would not re-visit.

The chicken balls was raw and my family all got sick from it, tried calling to complain no answer, will never go back!

Had the meal for two last Friday and it was very good and tasty,friendly lady who served me,will definitely be back next time I’m in the area.

I am surprised at some of the recent negative reviews of this takeaway restaurant.I have been a regular customer for many years and have always found my meals very enjoyable and service friendly and quick.There is a large varied menu and prices are reasonable. My only minor complaint is that you cannot make payment by card.My latest takeaway most enjoyable Recommended

£40 down the drain realy sad to find out that we have massively overpaid , was very kind of the lady to let us pay next day for Chinese as the shop did not accept cards however, we put £20 through letter box in an envelope the next day to pay for our meal .when I spoke with the lady a few days later she told me this was never received to which was very sad to hear this, and now my partner has paid a further 20 which has not been acknowledged now £40 the shop has had from us for what should have been a £20 takeaway. Very let down , will not be back.

The food and service are excellent. I would highly recommend ordering the crispy shredded chicken and the duck dishes. I've got to add that the owners of the takeaway are very nice and hard-working from the amount of years I've been their customer.

worst chinese meal I have ever had, the fat in the fryer must have been old and not cleaned because all our food tasted awful. Went in the bin.

Fantastic food, nice chatty lady from Hong Kong behind counter and we were given prawn crackers as an extra. We enjoyed generous portions and every dish from the banquet for 2 and will definitively come again. We perhaps should have ordered extra rice as we ran out of rice before we ran out of any of the dishes. As good a Chinese meal as I've ever had *****

We spend a week in Hopman each year and always pay a visit to the local Chinese. It’s always great but this year it was even better. I can recommend the Satay. Both the standard and the crispy Shredded are amazing.

What a waste of money.The worst Chinese I've ever had.Tastless. Not worth going to.Never again shocking.

A good menu and they're happy to alter dishes if requested, reasonably priced but do expect a wait at peak times.

Walked here as we were staying at the campsite down the road. Owner was really friendly, service was prompt and food was really tasty. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Awful. Wish I’d read reviews before hand. We are local to the area but decided to have a few nights away in a caravan in Burghead. The menu popped out of the caravan book and we ordered. My chicken and sweet corn soup ended up being chicken and beansprout soup. My beef satay was the oddest thing ever - it was like roast beef on a Sunday with gravy - and oddly enough, it came complete with carrots and peas!!!The prawn crackers were just the worst I’d eaten too!!!

Friendly staff & delicious meals.used this takeaway twice during our 3 day stay at caravan park.would highly recommend.

Having read some of the good reviews I wonder whether this could have really been the same place!Those who rated this restaurant poorly are spot on. The food was bland and gloopy. Our beef and duck dishes looked and tasted the same - same gloopy red sauce with pieces of defrosted pea and sweet corn. Beef was tough and sinewy and duck was basically all skin and fat.Truly awful - give it a wide berth.

We love this Chinese. We order every time we visit West Beach caravan park.. The bonus is they don't use MSG. It makes such a difference!! You can actually taste the food.

While staying at West Beach we decided to have a chinese after a couple of drinks. The food was good, inexpensive and served quickly with a smile. Would use again no problem.

Spent the weekend in Hopeman and visited This Chinese Takeaway. The menu was extensive and we were not disappointed with our choice indeed we were pleasantly surprised particularly having read some of the adverse comments. No complaints from this happy people. Will certainly use again if in the area.

Staying in the caravan park for a short holiday, thought we would have a night off from cooking, and went here, what a mistake. We could have cooked anything, and produced a better meal. Having eaten many Chinese meal across the globe, I can safely say that this was the worst by far. (See my other reviews) Got the idea it was going to be bad when the free prawn crackers had a peculiar taste. None of the dishes tasted as expected, all lacked any sort of flavour, even the satay didn't taste of satay. We ate what we could with a great deal of fine red wine, and dumped the rest in the bin. Even our dogs turned their noses up at it. If you live in Hopeman, you are probably ok with this place, but if you are a visitor, keep your BBQ out, and get cooking.

We were in Hopeman for a week and had 2 meals here. I can highly recommend the crispy chicken with satay sauce. Great value. Staff were helpful. Well worth a visit.

This has to be the worst Chinese food we have ever had - ordered a duck with bamboo shoots and water chestnuts and a second dish of a chicken chop suey.Also had a side Portion of beansprouts .... it was all of the same gloopy consistency and bland taste ... no difference at all in any of the taste of the dishes ... goodness only knows what was used to make the gloopy , congealed 'sauce ' but have to say after a few mouthfuls it all went in the bin ..... very disappointing .... how can anyone go wrong with beansprouts for goodness sake ... nothing was fresh , no freshness at all to the sauces in either of the dishes and dread to think what it's done to my insides ....

Fast service food served in no time at all, delicious food, competitive prices felt i got value for money.

Never knew that Chinese takeaway could taste so bad.

Close to West Beach Caravan park we dined here twice. very friendly staff and absolutely delicious food. Highly recommended

Standard Chinese really, the lady there is lovely! Good extensive menu. Have only had a takeaway once though so can't really judge

Since moving near to hopeman this Chinese takeaway has become our regular, easily beating the elgin takeaways both on quality and price. Excellent.

I have used the Hopeman Chinese Takeaway about 4 times while I have been in Burhead on holiday, beautifully cooked, and I have to say I am not disappointed, The lady is very friendly and helpful, and I now look forward to a meal from here each time I am on Holiday I highly recommend it

I have lived in Hopeman for over twenty five years and I have had on average of one takeaway per month from this establishment since I moved here. My dodgy arithmetic abilities tells me that this means I have had roughly three hundred takeaways and I have never had a bad meal.
