The food is excellent, great customer service, very friendly place. Owner makes you feel welcome and treats you like family. Since I have been coming here, I don’t find food from other place tasty as here.

A beautifully crispy batter and meaty portion of fish accompanied with a generous serving of fabulous chunky chips. It’s a clean and well presented shop with a charismatic owner. Will be back for sure!

Good selection of fish at decent prices. Portion sizes are generous. Excellent value with a regular sized portion of cod and chips for £8.50 (large is £9.50). Fish is fresh, tender, flaky and meaty. Batter is light and crispy. Chips are fat and chunky. Friendly staff.

Nice enough fish and chips.. The chips were probably too chunky for my liking but my parents were happy. I felt £15 for two cod and 1 chips was a bit expensive but that's the cost of living for you. The guy behind the counter was very chatty.. Which if I was a local would have been nice, but I wasn't in the mood for engaging.

Hooked has just reopened after 10 months, and this was my first visit prices seem slightly higher but couldn't say for sure. Extra pots of chilli sauce are no longer polystyrene but clear plastic tubs and are minute, plus the chilli sauce is now a bit more watered down, so not as yummy as before. Chips were okay but the portions were nowhere near as large as they used to be and they weren't as tasty and soft when fully cooked. One of the large portions of chips had a lot of hard chips more than ever before which we had to put in the bin. The large kebabs were very tasty but not sure if the kebab ingredients are the same as before as others in our group felt that the taste was a bit different. Overall we all enjoyed our evening meal after a very long wait for Hooked to re-open. The refurbishment of the new shop looks great.

By far the best chip shop in west London. I’m a massive foodie and have been to a few of the local chip shops around west Drayton. Hooked is by far the best. No soggy greasy chips like the rest of the chip shops locally. This is a clean tidy place and has excellent vegetarian and vegan menus. Highly recommended.

The best fish n chips shop in west drayton has got even better. The new owner is really personable and even delivered our order himself. Has better portion sizes now and made good improvements to the menu!

Very disappointing was expecting great things for this place, the chips were dry and the fish batter wasn't crispy, but the curry sauce was nice though.

This is a long overdue review and a true account, well I do not want to undermine this place but a true opinion is a true opinion ! When this fast food outlet originally opened it was an absolute asset to Yiewsley after living here for 35+ years, the previous management was excellent, under Manny the food served was of a exceptional standard from here, I know he is still about as I have seen him in the local vicinity nevertheless I never faulted the chip shop then, I refrained a few weeks ago from giving them my business anymore, greasy fish, cold powdery chips served on 2 occasions, no more enough is enough ! Bitten and shy theory applies here, for the over talked about homemade garlic sauce lets not just go there, amateur attempt extracted from YouTube possibly, Not Blue Peter badge standard in anyway, Meagre portions & inflated prices which only equates to pure greed ! No more hopes for Friday dinner from here, OAPs be prepared to be ripped off during the daylight hours, no more Mr nice guy here unfortunately, No justification for these practices during these unprecedented times either! The food dispensed is plain, bland & pathetic sadly, not the old chip shop establishment I remember, oh well the traditional fish & chip shop feel has gone out the window and it looks like McDonalds it is sadly, we live in hope .....

Went for lunch to this chip shop and was very fresh and welcoming atmosphere, was really pleased to see they do vegan also as I am a vegetarian the fish is a must try...... Will 100% be going there again

The food was disgusting food the chips are half cooked and black spots in every single chip tasted disgusting, the mushy peas were not mushy and had a funky smell! My auntie has-been feeling sick since eating even 2 chips! 0 rating!

Great service, my daughter was so excited when the server had a great conversation with her (uncle mr muscle - is what she named him!) and made her a special portion of chips and wrote her name on the meal. such a simple thing but made her day! food was on point.

I bought a chicken sheesh kebab and a batterd sausage with chips the chicken tastes like cheese and is not a Sheesh pitta was floppy the batterd sausage was batterd but not cooked the chips are oven chips from Morrison's but the salad is ok and I paid for the kebab £10 the sausage £3 the chips £4 what a con so £17 for a load of cheap rubbish that I could of made at home for £5 and half hour of my time but if you like wasting money for a dog's dinner be my guest they should be closed down

Seeing how bad most of the chip shops have become around it’s good to see a chippy that seems to take an interest in everything on their menu. Try their spicy cod bites, donner kebab and of course their fish and chips. You’ll be back for more! They hire local staff too which is good for the community. Portions are good too! I would highly recommend.

Chicken shish was flat and dry only 5 Pisces for £7.95. Other places you get a large for that locally. Fish was really greasy and batter was really dark. Which meant old oil and mash tasted powdery and touch when advertised creamy. Tried to complain to restaurant they did not want to know. Avoid.

visited Hooked on 2nd Nov 18-45, ordered my regular portion of chips doner wrap and chicken and mushroom pie, I got chicken pie and chips in a box, meaning you get a third the amount of chips for exactly the same price, the chips were cold, the donor wrap was cold (I live 3 mins away) I specifically ordered them separately as they done this once before, as a loyal customer (till now) I didn't notice what they had done till I got home, they used to have great staff over the years, but now have a cheeky chappie serving who gives the impression he will get away with anything if he's polite and personable , it saddens my heart to see the only good fish and chip shop in the area, become like all the others, only more expensive.Just like to repeat the chips were COLD, do not leave this shop without tasting a chip first.

Would recommend coming here. Tucked away in a side street of West Drayton! Like others have said the fish is light and flaky my only issue is that it was quite oily. Chips were good again slightly on the oily side. Nice freshly made tartare sauce was a great touch.

Just brought 2 large cods, mushy peas and small chips and all I can say is it’s NOT WORTH THE MONEY. I didn’t want to write this but after paying £20 for that you would expect something special. The cod was DRY and had clearly been overcooked or even cooked twice and the mushy peas tasted so salty and watery. Not good at all.

They fillet cod before putting it in batter which is great. Chips are a bit too fatty but they're tasty. Tartar sauce it's perfect. Quality package too. Very friendly staff, it was my first time here but I'm sure I'll be back.

This is the first time we've gone in here and it's our new favourite. The fish here is nice and flaky and the batter is light and crispy. Very different from the other chip shops. The small chips are reasonable but the large chips almost fill the box.

Definitely can recommend this chip shop. Visited first time today, the lemon chilli fish was so so tasty. The kebab meat is the most juiciest, tastiest doner meat I've ever had!!! The chips are so tasty too, Hooked is now my new local chippy. Really nice staff and food is just wow.

We used to really like this place but we've noticed the past few times that the cost is very high and the portions very small. Tonight I spent £30 on 3 meals.. I thought, ok.. £10 each, but wow... I ordered a chicken wrap which cost near on £6 on its own. it wasnt big enough for a child let alone an adult. The £3.50 for a handful of chips ! We womt be using again. Very over priced for what you get.

Recommended to Hooked by friends. Having been disappointed several times by the local chippy it was time to make a change. If you're not familiar with the area, there is a car park via the side road. Come on Hooked Fish & Chips but the meal you sent out to us this evening was embarrassing. We have been your regulars for many years but not so sure we will continue to be. Firstly your prices have gone up by about 25% which I can understand but why have your portions shrunk?? The chips were so old and stodgy, it tasted like it’s been sitting in your fryer all day. Totally inedible. Donner Kebab was ok i suppose, albeit much smaller then usual. The chilli sauce I paid for tasted like dishwater. First and foremost your supposed to be a chippy and you can’t even serve up decent chips. Now I understand we are amidst a pandemic but that’s no excuse to rip off your regular and loyal customers. Just remember when this is all over you may find your regulars no longer want to return to you after how they have been served & taken advantage of by yourselves with stale food, over inflated prices and much smaller portions.

Food was absolutely disgusting. Fish was soggy and chips where like they had been cooked several times. The kebab was dry and hard. Shop was not helpful spent £30 on a meal I wouldn’t give to my dogs. Manager offered no sort of refund never going there again.

Had a vege burger! It was really nice. With fresh salad.

Ordered via Uber Eats. Chicken Shish salad box, extra chillies. Requested chicken to be cooked well done. Received 4 pieces of pasty looking chicken with no kebab flavour, no extra chillies, no peppers. Salad was mostly large chunks of raw onion. Disappointed

Quickest delivery ever!....Fish and chips in 15 minutes..and on a Friday night!! Food is brilliant, great quality and always hot!
