Honk Kong House in Glasgow City

I used to love this take away. Still nice but the portions are a lot poorer. My curry was more onion than meat and my husbands was the same .They were more like an onion curry with bits of meat added. They also close without notice and are more closed now than they are opened. Too greedy now. Used to be the best value compare to others in the area, but not anymore. The others are better portions for a very slight price difference which is better and preferable. Putting customers before profit is the secret, which they seem to have lost now and that is a shame.

Usually, my family eats Hong Kong House every weekend, and every single time it’s amazing! Honestly, I can’t really think of any better Chinese restaurant than this one, I totally recommend this Restaurant, the food is absolutely amazing and for anybody who likes Chinese.

Well, if its Chinese takeaway food yet after, wan toot and they'll come oot!! ..or maybe the food is HONKIN'?

Driver took an hour and a half to get the food delivered from a place that was 10-15 minutes away. Probably stopped to smoke crack. Driver got all belligerent when I called him out of being unacceptably late. Security had to come and toss his a s s out of the hotel. To top it off, the food was cold and tasted like crap.

As usual, food was great. we were quoted an hour for delivery but called Honk Kong House as my husband had s flight to catch. very helpful staff put our order out on next delivery run and we had it within minutes. definitely somewhere we recommend.

still waiting 2.5 hrs after ordering!

considering the food was nearly an hour late, I didn’t really enjoy it; I had chicken satay on skewers; which didn’t taste much like any satay dish I’ve had before

Food was lovely, still hot & delivered on time. It was a big order & the only complaint was that I ordered 2 kids chicken fried rice but only one came. Anyway there was still plenty to go around.

I paid for 2 cans of sprite and received 1 can of 7up so me and my grandaughter had share 1 can of 7up when we ordered 2 cans of sprite

Curry was vary dry not enough sauce just white pieces of meat and rice

I don't mind waiting a bit longer for delivery on a Friday night as I understand this is a busy time for any takeaway, but almost 2 hours was a bit much! Called the restaurant after their expected delivery time had passed and was told it should be there any minute, it took a further 15 minutes, this was after they'd already added 30 minutes on. The food was average at best, not very warm and the salt and chilli was really disappointing. Driver had no manners whatsoever, never apologised for the delay, no please or thank you and never offered any change. I had intended for him to keep it as a tip anyway, but it's pretty poor taste to just assume this.

worst food ever salt and pepper chicken is a heart attack on a plate it's just pure salt no spice at all even after asking for extra spicy. Curry sauce tasted like it was out a packet yet again really salty. Fried rice was excellent. will not order from here again after having to bin my dinner.

First time trying Hong Kong House, and it was nearly faultless. Quick delivery, friendly driver, good portions, and very very tasty. The only minor issue was I'd asked for sauce along with a pancake roll, and didn't get it, however as it was a no charge add on I didn't complain. We'll definitely be ordering from here again! Recommended.

delivery was really quick but I am not going to order again after being a very loyal customer for years. portions where shocking and ribs over cooked so was the chicken. totally disappointed.

this is usually great and quick. was a simple order. and we received uncooked chips... the salt and chilli chips were solid in the middle we tried to cook them further in the oven but didn't work :( wasn't a big enough deal to complain

Food was delivered more than 2 hours after ordered, food delivery time was supposed to be one hour after ordering.

Ordered at 6.20. Order had 10 mins added due 7.10. Order arrived at 7.45 with a missing item. Restaurant has been engaged since 7.30. 8.30 now. Food sitting freezing in the kitchen, trying to resolve via just eat. Very unprofessional. Love your food but service is apalling.

We are normally used to ordering from Royal Garden. Tried here. It's safe to say I'll be ordering again, food was fantastic, fast delivery, portion size great and very well priced. A normal £30 + order without delivery from Royal Garden was only £22 with delivery from here!

Food wasnt upto much ate no even half curry and the salt and peper chicken balls were balls poor food quick delivery dpesnt make up for poor food will never use again waste of £15

First time I had used this restaurant. We had 2 chow mien dishes - portions were large and food was tasty. Delivery was faster than expected. Value was good. Can't complain about anything - will definitely use again.

Mushrooms weren't cooked properly

I ordered a meal deal with Chicken Noodle Soup, and Chicken Chow Mein. I ordered an extra curry sauce as well. The soup was bland and the noodles in the soup were far too long and too difficult to eat. The chow mein was totally inedible, I ate about 3 forkfuls but the stench coming off the food was enough to put you off before even tasting it. Totally disgusting. Very unhappy with my order, waste of money and I will not be returning again. Only plus was my food arrived early.

I had the king prawn satay. One of the finest Chinese meals I've tasted in years. Oh, and their chips are fantastic.

Ordered salt & chili chips and a chicken curry. The delivery time was long, but on time potentially due to travel distance and other orders. The taste of the curry was more bland than I like, however was nice. The salt & chili chips were lovely and would consider buying here again.

This is a great take away we like the credit crunch menu which is great value for money. I have never had an order delivered that was not piping hot.
