Service was reasonably fast and friendly. Most importantly however, the food was bland across the board. Salt and pepper chicken had absolutely no flavour or seasoning, the same can be said for the egg fried rice. The 'Barbecue' sauce was also salty and mostly bland. What little flavour it did have was more like black bean sauce than barbecue. On the upside, my wife says the plain boiled rice was nice.

Didn't dine in, ordered home online. My mum ordered 2 plain chow mein (we are both vegetarian) and we found beef and chicken!! Not good for people that haven't consumed meat in a long time, this can make someone very ill. Will not be ordering again.

Friendly local Chinese Delivey or Pick up. The food is always yummy. Favorites of mine are the WonTon soup w Big dumplings and the crunchy thick Prawn Toast and generous portion of Satay Chicken. It's always hot and on time. Value for money

They need to get a better telephone line. Called several times to confirm an order and was delivered mixed meat instead of mixed veg chow mein. When I called back hoping they would replace the dish, instead was told it was not their fault and I would have to pay additional for the dish….. shabby customer experience This is a takeaway where they could have easily rectified it but chose not to….. Lousy experience

Food is really nice here. It always gets delivered hot. It’s decent meat also. I order duck chow main and sometimes when you order this from other places it’s horrible fatty bits. This is lovely though. It’s more expensive but you get what you pay for.

Walked past the place and it smelled so good that we decided to order! Everything was delicious and the staff is really kind, even as a vegetarian there were multiple delicious meals to choose from! Would highly recommend if in the Shanklin area.

Ordered online whilst walking back to the car on Shanklin Esplanade, five minute journey to Hong Kong City and my food was ready as I arrived. Really tasty, especially the chow mein.

Loved the food from this Chinese Take Away, it has the regulars that most people expect from the menu, but it does taste good. For me a big plus was that they delivered to our holiday accommodation in Sandown. Perfect after a long day exploring the island.

Very poor customer service. Order placed, meal missing when delivered. When rang, delivery driver not back so no time scale for missing item. Discussed that meals were going cold and we were walking up to reception to collect. said we could collect. Asked for compensation as this was an £80 order and paid delivery charge. Wouldn't even refund the delivery charge for inconvenience. Disappointed. Food cold by the time I ate it

Poor food , no better than a ready meal from tesco's but a lot more expensive.

Absolutely awful in my opinion.....most of it went in the bin and and I felt very unwell in the morning......AVOID!!!!

So cross, ordered one plain chow mein (veggie) one chicken chow mein & chips and when we got home found both were chicken 😔 No good for people with food allergies / sensitivity here. First time using & won't come back

WOW!! I’m not too keen on Chinese food, but my partner is. We have just tried this place and I’ve enjoyed the meal so much, I’m a convert (only to THIS place!) Food arrived 20 mins early, was hot, tasted fresh and was just full of flavour. Really big portions too. This is most definitely the best Chinese I’ve ever eaten. 10 out of 10 from us!

You wont find a better Chinese anywhere. We have tried them all in the area and hong kong city is hands down the best we ever had

The best Chinese takeaway we've ever had. Every time the food is piping hot, portions are big and delivery on time or earlier than stated.

The portions were huge! Especially the rice. One rice would have done the three of us eating. Mains were delicious, Everything was piping hot and delivery was quick! I honestly felt terrible at the amount of food I had to throw away as we were all so full. Would absolutely recommend and will definitely be ordering again. Thank you!

We ordered a Chinese takeaway for 4 of us to eat. The food wasn’t great it, some dishes were really hot and the crispy shredded beef was cold and dry! 2 out of 4 adults have now been really sick for 2 days with stomach cramps and feeling really horrible. Be very careful.

We ordered a home delivery meal last night. Set meal for two option C. The food was superb. The rich tastes were lovely. I definity recommend this takeaway.

Website failed when we ordered yet payment showing in our bank account. When we rang they expect us to pay again. Not happy.

Used to like this takeaway but the customer service is terrible they took my money froze it in my bank account then wanted me to pay again I advised I cannot pay twice as the bank account has frozen the money so they took the food after wasting my time and stressing me out and conveniently released the funds after they left so as they could do that so easily they could have taken the payment just as easily, PayPal confirm all they had to do was accept it there end, in the first place, I even emailed the restaurant advising that there is an error coming up and they ignored it, I don't keep cash on me so I couldn't pay £40 twice , so looks like food goes in the bin out of spite or some poor persons gonna get old cold or reheated food, will not use again, they obviously giving just microwaved food , and I used to use this place all the time so they clearly don't care about retaining customers , I think it's disgusting that they made out the money would be in limbo for days and then conveniently I mentioned a complaint and they left with the food and realised the funds so they lie as well

Really tasty food, good price, I ordered lots of stuff and all tasted good. Would recommend. One thing my order did take a long time even for small things but I guess it was worth the wait.

I ordered a delivery and was told it would arrive within 40 minutes, it arrived 10 minutes early. My food was hot and really delicious, probably the best take away i have had in a very long time. I enjoyed my dinner very much and will definitely order again in the near future.

I called tonight with a terrible signal and the poor lad on the phone (Kitt) done an amazing job using enigma to figure out what I was saying. He then made sure our food was delivered hot and on time. Ps it was delicious 😋 Thank you.

Very happy with our order. First time ordering and on holidays. The delivery to our caravan park was on time, driver called on arrival and we picked it up at reception. Food was delicious, portions generous. Each dish tasted distinct, not like sometimes all is blending together. We had duck shechuan, prawns in ginger sauce, beef in black bean sauce and chicken with mushrooms. All very good and I can definitely recommend this place.

Quick to order and collect. Really delicious food, especially the sweet and sour chicken Hong Kong style. Good prices too.

Have been to the Isle of Wight twice over the past year and ordered from here both times. Great portions, very tasty, incredibly fresh. Our go to takeaway when on the island.

I was looking for a nice Chinese takeaway in Shanklin having tried a couple on previous visits to the island and not overly expressed. Was very please with Hong Kong City. Really nice food , good size portions , reasonably priced and fast and friendly service. Would recommend. Will be my go to takeaway on next visit. Graham

Delicious dinner - really recommend the set menu. Felt like I was in Kowloon!

Terrible.... curry tasted bland and chicken rubbery, rice tasted like boil in packet, chips were undercooked and the prawn crackers had zero taste.

Ordered take away when staying close by. Very bland. Beef mushroom had no taste and special Chow Mein wasn't special in any way, it was all noodles and hardly any meat. We didn't enjoy it.

Food was disgusting found a hair in food! rung up they was not surprised by hairs in food and was told they would send a driver with half our refund waited 2 hours Ended up having to go to the shop at 10pm to pick up our refund because drivers were too busy refused to give full refund and tried to blame me for putting my own hair in food disgusted with costumer service!

Service was very quick and fast. Food was also good. Wait time from order to completion was 10mins. I was very impressed.

Me and my family were on holiday and fancied Chinese food. I can tell you that we were not disappointed. The fried chicken in lemon sauce was the star of the meal, definitely recommend. Very big portions, one is enough to feed 4 people. If I wasn’t on holiday, I would be getting food from there more often.

Really great Chinese, we actually drive from the other side of the island after trying many different ones as we prefer it so much to the others. Always quick to prepare the food, always really big portions and the food is always very tasty. I give this takeaway 5 stars on google reviews because they deserve it, overall I give them 8 out of 10 for Chinese takeaways. :)

Lovely food delivered really quickly. The property I was staying at had awful telephone reception when I was ordering but the lovely lady rang me back twice to complete the order. Delivery guy was lovely too. Food was delicious and hot. Would recommend the ribs in barbecue sauce, chicken curry and chicken fried rice. Gorgeous.

Was very disappointed with level of service I received. As a regular customer know the menu quite well so rang and ordered several dishes amounting to over £40. Firstly when I rang the line was picked up and I was asked to hold on for a minute! That was ok but it was almost 5 mins on a mobile and the whole time I could hear her taking other orders and serving people. When she eventually got back to me, also a paying customer I might add, I placed my order and was told to collect in 15 mins which I did. No problems, or so I thought! Got the bag home to find no rice at all despite my order including curries, beef with mushroom etc, dishes that obvs need rice. My complaint is that all their dishes automatically use to come with rice (too much actually) so if you ordered 6 things you got 6 rices for instance. At no time during the call was I asked if I wanted any rice with the meals and totally unaware or told at point of order that meals no longer came with rice. Like I said I have used this place probably in excess of twenty times and it’s always been the same, rice comes automatically with the dishes. So I get the bag of food home and find there’s no rices. Unaware of their new policy I rang back and asked where the rices were and was told they’ve changed the menu and don’t include it now!! Why wasn’t I told this and why wasn’t I asked if I wanted any? Asked if they would send a delivery driver round with some and was told have to place order and wait 20 mins! Said it would be good customer service - she wasn’t bothered! Said I had already been placed on hold and ignored earlier so wasn’t happy - she still wasn’t bothered! Said I would be using the other takeaway in future and that she had lost a customer and she just said ok!!! It’s a long winter so don’t upset your regulars! Customer Service terrible. Use China Garden in Regent Street instead!

Actually went here in July 2017 but wow what a takeaway. Probably the best Chinese takeaway we've ever had. Everything was amazing and the prawn toast was to die for. Brilliant

First time ordering from here, utterley disappointed, rice portion would just about feed a child, roast pork curry was mushy and an awful shade of green, sweet and sour chicken balls left an after taste of stale water. After hearing that these guys were meant to be really good I'd hate see what an awful chinese takeaway is.

Had 2 set meals B plus lemon chicken. Delivery was fast. Food was hot and very tasty . Will definatelt have again.

First time trying this place and we had food delivered. was here within half hour of ordering and it was very fresh & tasty. Good portion size. Please note quite a few dishes have rice with them so you may not need extra. I would have given five stars but not spicy enough for us unless you actually eat the chilli's added. I guess this would cater for different tastes. Very nice apart from that :)

Tried here for the first time a few days ago and I will never go again. Everything was extremely bland. I ordered a special rice dish and a chow mien dish, among other things, and they all tasted exactly the same. Normally dont leave one stars but it was really bad.

My boyfriend and I had sweet and sour chicken and pork in black bean sauce. Both dishes came with a small bowl of rice, which was quite filling. Great portion size and very reasonable price. Chicken could be a little bit more crispy but was not bad!

As our local chinese takeaway, it used to be lovely, really enjoyable. But after not visiting for a while, we just had a takeaway from there. It was disgusting, we didn't eat 90% of it, the chicken was almost plastic in consistency and even the supposed egg fried rice was questionable as to whether it actually contained egg. Completely tasteless and so obviously microwaved. When they charge these kind of prices you expect something edible. We won't be wasting our money on this establishment anymore, local or not.

Served us rice in a little pot that you would put sauce in, was vile!

Duck was over done with grissel in it evertything was bland or chewy or too hot.

Food ok. Close to the holiday park we stayed at. Was recommend to us by a friend and can say it was a good one.

Had a meal delivered to the lower hyde site... Had to meet the driver at reception and the food was still piping hot when we got back to our lodge.... Definitely recommended

Ordered a takeaway. It was stated that they would deliver in 1/2 an hour, the meal arrived in 15 minutes! The meal was packed well and arrived hot. We ordered the mixed Hors D'oeuvres for two which at 9-80 was good value. The chicken chop suey looked anaemic and did not have much taste. The duck dish though had a lot of fat but was very tender with a reasonable taste.

Ordered from here whilst on holiday. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. I didn't know each dish came with its own individual rice portion so the woman taking my order checked rather than let me just over order which I appreciated. Would definitely order from here again

I guess one gets used to one's local takeaway therefore trying a new one will be different. Ultimately I was disappointed, the spicy spare ribs were fatty, the hot chicken wings had a really thick batter around them and the special chop suey (nearly 7 quid0 was about 40% rice. Well what can I say other than could they deliver to Telford we ordered twice on our holiday stay and the food was amazing the service brilliant and delivery to the holiday park impeccable and the cost very reasonable please if you stay at either landguard or lower Hyde take advantage and order from this Chinese just fabulous thank you for helping make our holiday memorable

Ordered a take away; the first time I've used this place. Won't be using it ever again. All of the dishes looked strangely identical. Sauces weren't exactly what I was expecting as per their descriptions and the rice and noodles were stodgy.

What filth and such a poor attitude. The food was poor and that was only uprated by the bad attitude of the owner / chef. Never again
