Hong Hei in Chesterfield

Closed at 8.30. Advertised hours are till 10.30. Very poor service. Probably why you will be closed down! Used to be open till late but not any more. Terrible

Really looking forward to a good Chinese takeaway, wasn't to our standard, curry like water very little content. Only advantage my partner is a retired chef who doctored the meal. Very disappointed for the money. Usually highly recommended..

Appalling service, young guy behind counter not very pleasant, ordered food well in advance but still had to wait another fifteen minutes. The food was average except the pancake rolls which were quite small and overcooked. Tried this place for the first time, will be using our usual place next time .

I'm a big fan of Hong Hei. Food is always tasty, service is quick and friendly, the menu is big enough to keep everyone happy for repeated visits. I just wish we didn't live on the other side of town.

Will not be using again. Was told to pick up in half an hour. Been sat waiting an hour. If it's going to be an hour then say an hour. Wasn't the only customer that was sat waiting well over 30 minutes, few customers said it wasn't the first time. Young man at the counter was not helpful

Fabulous food and good delivery. Best Ribs we have had since the closure of Haka San. We will order again.

First time ordering from Hong Hei, we've tried a few Chinese's in Chesterfield and pleased to say we will be sticking with Hong Hei. The food was scrumptious! Not a single complaint. Really impressed. Thank you!

Nice, but average food. Pleasant service, but not much here to generate a return visit. Requesting a dish to be extra spicy was seemingly overlooked.

I travel miles for this takeaway, my daughter's are both at different universities and despite surrounded by Chinese takeaways,both swear that the Hong Hei is superior.

Salt and Pepper Spare ribs and curry sauce best in Chesterfield. Always willing to add ingredients to your taste I.e garlic, ginger, xtra bean sprouts.

Let me put it like this, my daughter is at university in Liverpool and has tried lots of takeaways, yet has yet to find one as good as Hong Hei despite the much greater degree of competition in Liverpool. When you add the price compared to its competitors, why people don't try this place is beyond me, we travel 15 miles to this takeaway and it is worth the trip.

This is the worst crispy duck I have ever had, just fat and very little duck! Half a duck ordered I had to carry on cooking it in the oven !

Great food, reasonable prices and fast service

Really disappointed by a Chinese takeaway yet again!. I work all over the country and have eaten some great meals but for some reason when I return home to Chesterfield they can't muster up a decent Chinese anywhere!. Hong Hei's Sweet and Sour Chicken HK style just tasted of vinegar!. Inedible!. Salt and Pepper chips were just salted chips and the special fried rice was definitely not Special. Why you can get a decent Chinese in any city in Britain but can't get a decent one in my own town is beyond me!.

Brilliant food so nice best I have had in the year I have lived in Chesterfield been trying different ones to find a good one I definitely found it now .it came in the time we got told nice and hot and even got some prawn toast for free good touch .can't wait to have another good value for money and great portion sizes 👍

Friendly and great service and great food

Only eaten from here few times as new in town; but it's great so far; freshly cooked, very tasty, lovely friendly staff, good portions, really pleased to have found it...even a simple dish such as the chicken curry has really tasty silken chicken.

This restaurant is the one I like best. I go to a lot of restaurants but to this place I constantly return again and again.

Umami!! Chicken and cashew with fried mix veg. Plenty for two for £6.60, hot, on time and yummy. I don't go anywhere else.

I ordered from here based on good reviews and was not disappointed. We received several freebies of prawn toast and prawn crackers due to the size of the order. I was impressed that all the dishes ordered were enjoyed by my family, were well presented and hot. The crispy duck was served with all the trimmings, prepared and packed very well. It would be good to see lass plastic packaging in future, but this applies to all businesses. This was my first visit but it won’t be my last!

After a long day we needed a quick meal locally. We'd driven past, had a look and collected a menu. All seemed ok so decided to try it. The food was delivered by a smiling man, promptly, and proved to be delicious! Will certainly go again!

I always assumed that takeaway Chinese food tasted the same from every shop because they all use the same wholesaler, but there's something umami about this place. The staff are polite and helpful, deliveries are either on time or early, and the food never disappoints. Sure, you may get more exotic stuff from a more expensive restaurant, but that's not the point. If you're collecting, you may find that parking can be tricky and the shop itself is a bit drab. Wow.

Stopped here on our way to bakewell after reading reviews on where to get a good chinese and must admit we were not dissapointed, fantastic value for money and the taste was delightful, will defiantly return again and would recommend to anyone passing to give it a go

Absolutely gorgeous food!! Just had a delivery and it was one of the best I’ve ever had. Crispy chilli chicken was perfect. Restaurant quality . My fave dish:) also arrived in good time. We will be using this take away from now on.

Had a cracking takeaway mixed meat Kung P.O. and chicken in black bean with salt and pepper chips egg fried rice. We’ve had a few round chezzy lately but this was the tastiest by far and quality meat. Thankyou. Free prawn toast was great as well. Thankyou

Ordered a takeout for myself and my partner, primarily I found the guy, with whom answered my call very pleasant and attentive and even gave me the total price of the order at the end of the call. The food arrived 1 minute earlier than I had requested which, let's face it ... nowadays is as very rare occurrence in itself. Now to the main event ... the food itself; The rice was cooked perfectly and both the wandering Dragon and the special curry were the best I have had in a very very long time. I would highly recommend the Hong Hei to anyone. #Awesome food and the ultimate service.
