Super yummy carolina chicken burger

Called on a friday to ask for a table. Kept me 15 min on the phone waiting on “hold” while I could hear all their swearing in the background and orders being put through. I called back I spoke to the same girl who told me there was a 45 min wait which was perfect as I was looking to come in that time frame - she then passed me to the manager who said no I cannot take a booking we are fully booked… VERY POOR costumer service. I appreciate you guys are busy but these are very basic communication skills.

Probably the best (smashed) burger I’ve had on the high street. Well made, full of flavour, can’t fault it. The lemonade was very well done too.

Me and my partner were undecided between a cheeky maccie ds and Honest but we both eventually regretted opting for what we supposed would be a more premium dinning experience (in comparison to McDonald's). Upon arrival, the waiter gestured to the available table before bringing the menus. The other waiter who took our drinks order seemed more alert but overall, they both seemed dispirited and nonchalant. Fast forward to the food; my burger (fritter) was fine, not as good as I remembered, just fine. My partner's chicken burger was apparently dry. The aspect that disappointed me most were the chips. I love their rosemary chips but they were stale and overcooked to the point they almost resembled crisps. I tried to engage the waiter who saw us to to our table as he walked passed to tend to the takeaway delivery guys on 2 occasions. I eventually said 'excuse me' but he kept striding past us. I had to get up from the table to enquire about the chips. We were offered another portion of chips but with the exception of a few decent ones atop the bowl, the rest were much of the same - overcooked, stale and unpleasant.

Juicy burger, good service. Definitely recommend.

Food was decent and we were served promptly. However… I have some gripes. Firstly I felt the chips were overly fried and would’ve preferred them roasted (obviously much healthier). More notably, the waiter messed up our order twice. First, he brought me the wrong drink and the other time they forgot to exclude bacon from my friend’s burger (which she had explicitly asked for). They also messed up the order for the people on the table next to us, twice (again!). People make mistakes, but I wasn’t very impressed by the fact that - following these mistakes - they then charged us full service charge and didn’t even offer to make a concession. It’s also worth stating that if my friend had requested excluding bacon on religious grounds, their mistake would not have gone down very well at all. I would also suggest they turn the music down little as it was hard to hear my friend and, clearly, the waiter was struggling to get us too.

Honest burger is my absolute favourite burger franchise and I make it my business to visit one wherever I go. Sadly this is the worst outlet so far; which sucks as it’s also my local one. I had the same experience the first time I went and now it happened again. The server, a tall thin white girl barely speaks to you and spends the majority of your stay hidden in the back somewhere… eventually popping up to charge you for her service charge. The burgers were nowhere close to being as good as the other outlets. I asked for medium rare, I get medium done. My partner asked for the chicken burger which was also bland, dry and overcooked. The atmosphere is drab. There’s none of that positive banter with the servers you get from the other outlets. Nothing ruins my day more than spending £50 on something unhealthy that also disappoints and thus leaving you with nothing but regret!!

Good quality food, definitely filling and great vegetarian options

I invited my friends because i often eat there, but this time all 3 burgers meat and bacon were totallly burned. And still put on the bill for the service charge. Not happy with the service at all. They need to improve the quality of the service.

I rarely give so-so feedback. But this place really isn't very nice. The chips were way too salty. The service was average for the price. My family went to this place because all other places with good reviews were full. I should have known better.

One of my fav burger joints in clapham area. Burgers are juicy and and they offer a nice drink selection. Coleslaw smacks! Service can get rather hectic during peak hours though.

Quality has always been better than other burger places (Hache, Bleecker, 5guys etc…). For the price the burger comes with fries and cooked to perfection. Kids menu is very good value and quality. Service could be a bit more « warm » but can’t complain too much when they are actually open on Boxing Day !

Every Time Come Here For Pick Up Delivery And They Always Take Time For Delivery…Staff Behaviour Is Too Much Rude…Every Time We Have To Wait For More Than 30 Minutes For Just One Delivery…Third Class Branch Of Honest Burgers…

In a great location and with perfect atmosphere. Dilani and Charlottre were very professional, welcoming and looked after us. The food was superb, well presented, hot and very tasty. It is good to see a burger where the focus remains on the quality and flavour of the meet and its cooking.

Tried to order online link hopeless crashes when try to pay so order fails. Tried 4 times. Hopeless gave up. Sort it or lose a lot if business

Aways top quality food at a great price Succulent Beef burgers chargrilled with lots of blood oozing out. Well balanced rosemary salted fries 🍟. Beyond meat and vegetarian options too for those who feel meat is murder. Easy access ♿ for all Great drinks selection for alcohol and non alcoholic drinkers.

Staff were a bit all over the place this visit; ordering was quick and easy but then things went sideways. Plates were practically thrown on the table, drinks didn’t come after chasing twice (and other tables getting their drinks almost immediately) and attention to detail was missing, with no follow-up to check if the food was ok once delivered. Member of staff briefly argued with a delivery person and stormed off. Disappointing atmosphere and experience.

Food good but experience entirely ruined by a very large open window above the door that subjected us and our food to a freezing cold artic breeze for the whole time we were there. We ended up putting our jackets back on. We asked them to close it but they refused saying it has to be open for the fan

This is the best place to get your burgers reasonable price and a great atmosphere. The bacon gravy is out of this world and it’s a must to try with the burger and fries. Props to the chef he does his ting. Bekah who took my order was nothing but polite and respectful, she made the experience very worth while. If you find yourself in Clapham give it a try.

Me and my children visit this establishment every week (this’s our local burger place (vegan burgers are amazing ) and we are always greeted and served by lovely staff . I Want to say thank you to a lady named Delanie that works here ( she makes our vists as easy and as lovely as possible every time ) thanks 🙏🏼

I have always rated Honest Burgers SO highly. But I ordered a delivery from there this evening and it was not worth the money. I wondered if they have a separate kitchen for delivery versus dining in guests? Because what I ordered wouldn't be acceptable. A rushed burger, cheese wasn't even melted, the toppings were skimpy and the bun tasted cheap. Fries seemed bottom of the barrel and couldn't eat the cole slaw - it was soggy, plain and basic. Really disappointing, particularly when there are so many other restaurants to choose from.

10/10 - a truly phenomenal dining experience - I must have been to this special HB branch around 50 times, and each time it's a delight for my tastebuds! The staff able to alter the menu if you ask, which is extremely accommodating, but the burger, and oh my, the chips! Give this restaurant a go, and if you don't like it, I'll personally refund you!* *This claim has no bearing in court, don't sue me!

They charged me table service fee even though I ordered take away. I guess they must have charged waiting fee! Never ever again!

dilani is wonderful and put up with our huge table of hooligans wonderfully. absolute babe who handled everything perfectly.

Ordered take away and food was (as always) amazing. But, was a little irritated when I saw on my receipt that I paid a service charge for picking up my order. Is this a thing to be expected at all restaurants or are the employees really working for tips? If it's the latter, then we should be given the option to decline or adjust the tip according to the service and not for getting my bag of food handed to me.

It's so noisy inside, my friends and I had to talk much louder than usual just to stand a chance of hearing each other. The seating arrangement I didn't care for, despite being told we could sit where we want it's very cramped. The booths are tiny, so we decided to sit on the stalls, the stalls are very loose and wobbly and therefore uncomfortable and unsafe to sit on. The service from the staff was good but it took a very long time for us to receive our food. When I asked about this I was told it's because they receive a lot of orders from Uber Eats. Surely customers in the restaurant should take precedence? Either way this system needs to be worked on, maybe more chefs or a new bigger location/unit that can handle the demand. The food is tasty, the fries were the best part. I would say it's good but 7/10 is fair, it not amazing, but I would happily eat it again, except for the onion rings. The onion rings have fennel seeds inside, it was my first time trying fennel seeds and either I don't like that taste or too many fennel seeds were used. I got a smashed patty burger, I doubled up (2 patties), it came with one side included in the price, I chose rosemary salted fries, then I ordered a separate side of large onion rings. The menu is very clear and easy to understand, it might sound trivial but I liked this a lot. They have home made lemonade and mint lemonade which sounds tasty, not many options when it comes to lager, no household names and only one cider available.

Dilani and Jess gave really looked after me and the local burger was delicious.

Great burgers!! Do delicious. Just need to fix the banging front door as it’s not pleasant when you’re sat next to it. Lovely to sit and eat outside and staff were good.

Nice seating area out side and good chilled relaxed atmosphere inside. I went for the Clapham Burger, Rosemary Chips and lemonade. The burger looked exactly like it does on the Honest burger website and was cooked very well. The chips were hot and crispy and flavoursome. Love that its so easy to order a gluten free bun without any fuss, and it was lovely and soft. Lemonade was really refreshing and tasty My only criticism was the chips and the bacon in the burger were too salty. I regretted not ordering the coleslaw to break up some of the saltiness. My server Michael was really friendly and attentive.

Grabbed the local Clapham burger and it was tasty, albeit small. The raclette looked more like a slice of cheese and nothing like the photos. Was quite underwhelming, albeit the rest of the menu is relatively good.

They have gluten free buns and Vegan cheese, both are amazing! being dairy free and gluten free it can be tough to find both in a burger shop. They always take my allergies seriously and the rosemary chips (GF) are incredible! I always get great service and the food is consistently delicious.

Overall a solid and affordable burger place. Has potential to be better but unfortunately our food felt somewhat under seasoned and not as flavourful as it should be. Ultimately was still nice but won't be rushing back

I have ordered the same thing from honest over 50 times… it is my favourite restaurant of all time however recently it’s just completely slipped. The last order I had had cheese on it… I’m intolerant to dairy and so remove it on orders. The order today was burnt to an absolute crisp. Uber eats wouldn’t refund either. So disappointed they sent this out.

Good burgers, not the biggest for the price but with the side of rosemary chips you will fill your belly just nicely in a cozy and rather quiet location just a few meters away from busy Clapham high street.

One of the UKs favourite burger chains, this is no exception to the quality you've come to expect. The rosemary fries are absolutely amazing, the onion rings are a huge menu item that you should absolutely get, and the burgers are, as the name would imply, honestly amazing. I've had the bacon cheeseburger, the chicken burger and the smash, all amazing, all loaded with flavour, all pretty reasonably priced (for London). Would highly recommend, plus the waitress was super friendly and super cute.

I agree with the review below saying it now feels like Byron before that slipped. The chips used to be amazing now they are rock hard, undercooked and cold. The burger itself was missing half of the ingredients and tasted very bland. Not sure whats happened here - such a shame as used to find the Brixton market Honest one of the best burgers in London?!

Great food but pick it up yourself. Uber have lost two deliveries and I had to chase the driver for the third. Uber app staff delivered bit didn't turn up and refused to refund me so stuff that 🤷🏼

The staff here were super friendly! Jasmin, Julie and Javi were lovely and helpful and recommended us some great burgers. My friend has allergies and she was very knowledgeable about what she could eat. We will definitely be back soon!

As someone who barely has any sense of smell and cannot taste things 100%, this was the first time in years I tasted something so vividly I ordered twice. Their truffly mayo is so stong, it made me smell, taste and almost feel it's presence! Without a doubt, the best burger I ever had!!

Menu say burgers come with sides yet onion rings in side section don’t count. Chips were tasteless and slightly anaemic. Food made both our stomachs flip a few hours later. However, friendly staff.

Poor service, average burger ok value. I understand busy for Valentine's and lots of deliveries but staff seemed more interested if flirting than serving, our server went missing repeatedly and I waited 20 minutes to try to pay. Begins to feel like byron when that began to slide. We are due to go burgers South Ken Saturday and grand fernand gets the nod now. Sort it out.

The local burger (Clapham) is probably one of the best Honest locals; nice combination of truffle mayo and cheese.

Great if you like your burgers. Not a lot else on the menu. Friendly and fast service and a welcoming atmosphere. Not a lot of space inside but the outside seating makes up for it.
