I go in here every so often and it never disappoints. The atmosphere is light and and inviting with lovely food served by convivial helpful staff.

Home cooked food like your grandmother used to make. Excellent service and a great price too! Would highly recommend, especially if you're on an Anfield trip, its right opposite the stadium.

I’ve been a regular match day visitor for around 8 years. On this occasion, I paid a visit before I went to work. As always the difference in atmosphere was evident. I love the hustle and bustle of matchdsys, but also the quieter times during weekdays are good too, as you have time to reflect. As always the food was delicious and the staff are always so lovely.

Bacon butty & a cup of coffee. Went this morning, eat my butty while driving. Slapped my thigh and shouted out my window “ how about it “ superb bacon on. Staff are lovely, always welcoming and kind. Smiles all round ❤️

Nach meinem Besuch in Anfield „Liverpool“ habe ich durch Zufall diese kleine Bäckerei gefunden, hier passt der Begriff Homebaked, ein kleiner Laden, den man eigentlich nicht wahrnimmt, ein englischer Regenschauer hat mich in diese Richtung laufen lassen, ich sage nur Wow, ein kleiner Laden so groß wie mein Wohnzimmer, hinter der Theke stehen diese tollen Damen und begrüßen einen mit ihrem tollen Akzent. Nach einem kurzen Gespräch über die Speisekarte, habe ich der Dame gesagt, sie soll mich überraschen, man sagt der englischen Küche ja immer nur Schlechtes nach, doch was mir hier präsentiert wurde, war Hausmannskost vom feinsten, dieser kleine Pie war in inneren einfach nur köstlich, Gemüse mit einer warmen Brühe, die einfach nur lecker war, dafür haben die einen Preis gewonnen? Zu Recht haben sie es verdient, egal ob nach einer Besichtigung in Liverpool, einem Spiel, oder der Zufall, es hat sich wirklich gelohnt. Ich werde noch einmal zu einem Spiel nach Liverpool zurückkehren und fragt mich bitte nicht, wo ich hingehen werde, :-) natürlich zum Homebaked Shop. After my visit to Anfield "Liverpool" I found this small bakery by chance, the term Homebaked fits here, a small shop that you don't actually notice, an English rain shower made me walk in this direction, I just say Wow, one small shop as big as my living room, these great ladies stand behind the counter and greet you with their great accent. After a short conversation about the menu, I told the lady that she should surprise me, people always say bad things about English cuisine, but what I was presented here was home cooking at its finest, this little pie was just plain inside delicious, vegetables with a warm broth that was just delicious, they won an award for that? They deserve it, and rightly so, whether it's after a visit to Liverpool, a game, or by chance, it was well worth it. I'll be going back to Liverpool one more time for a game and please don't ask me where I'm going :-) To the Homebaked Shop of course.

Great pies, great cakes, friendly staff, fast service, room to sit inside or out. The place for food prior to a visit to Anfield.

Visited during the school summer holidays. We had breakfast mid morning, then returned after the Anfield stadium tour for lunchtime pies. We all agreed, our favourite ever pies, pastry is amazing! Really tasty, great value and very friendly staff, lovely service. The cafe has a pretty, quiet courtyard out back where you can eat.

Best place by a mile for a pre match pie or coffee. All pies are homemade. Opposite the kop, so easy access to get to the match on time

Decided to visit the shop after seeing the musical,great atmosphere,really friendly & helpful staff,bought 6 pies & 2 loaves, had the chicken & veg last night,superb lots of chunks of chicken,if the scouse & shankly pies are half as good they're winners,defo going again on a regular basis

Visited Homebaked with my husband on 19/8/20. What a great bakery and community organisation. We both chose the tuna pasta salad and sat outside in the sunshine opposite the Kop! What better place to be! Had to thank the chef as the salad was the best lunch we’d had in ages, so refreshing and tasty. Support Homebaked. 👍

So happy that they are now doing delivery service during the COVID-19 lockdown. Absolutely delicious pies, meat and veggie options, all fantastic.

I had been wanting to try out Homebaked for a long time but never seemed to have the time when in Liverpool. On this visit I specifically made time and tried it out for breakfast, really glad I did as the food was excellent and I will definitely be going back on my next visit to try out the pies. What this team are doing from the bakery is an amazing service for the local community they are working hard to provide opportunities for locals in the area and their ideas for the adjoining terrace should be an inspiration for other areas of the UK. The staff on duty when I visited were welcoming and a credit to the bakery. The type of welcome you get in Liverpool cannot be matched anywhere else.

Mi familia y yo vinimos a Liverpool para un partido del Liverpool FC en Anfield. Nos quedamos cerca y las opciones de comida son un poco deficientes. Pero afortunadamente, Homebaked está muy cerca del estadio. Nos detuvimos para desayunar y volvimos a comer los pasteles. El sándwich de tocino y bollos son especialmente deliciosos. Y los pasteles son encantadores y calientes. Creo que es una comida británica bastante auténtica y estábamos muy emocionados de haberla encontrado. Popped in on a Saturday afternoon for a coffee and ended up leaving with freshly baked bread and pies, all of which tasted amazing. Very reasonably priced, super-friendly service, and delicious food!

Came to buy some pies after trying them from the Homebaked stall at Granby Street Market...Ended up buying 9 pies... trust me... they're THAT good....Truly well worth a visit... the food is delightful.. the staff are delightful... all all of the profits are ploughed back into training for local people...Got to be one of the loveliest places for traditional fresh food in Liverpool.

Was appalled my self and partner was having are breakfast and the lady who was serving and the lady in the back was having a conversation about her daughter vomiting her words was it was like black tar all over the toilet i do not want to hear this while i am eating it put me off my food and my partner also would never go back

Great little café just opposite the home of Liverpool FC. Super homemade pies. Small seating area inside. The "Shankley Pie" is a must.

We had breakfast here before a stadium tour. The smell of fresh baking when we entered the place was so welcoming on a wet and cold day! Food was good quality, as was the coffee, and it was very good value for money. This is a great community asset and we will definitely return if we manage to get tickets for a game at Anfield.

wow what a find great little cafe doing what you really need good homemade food and a great range of famous pies - The Shankly Pie with his name you will know its the best - great staff and a great place to eat before going across the road for the game

We had breakfast just before visiting Anfield Stadium. It's very good, fresh and quality products, fast and pleasant service. It's a shame it's so far from our hotel, we would have gladly returned there.

There's no doubt the pies in Homebaked are tasty. We had a shankly and a vegan and both were delicious.

We just popped in for a cup of tea exc and had one of their beautiful Shankly pies. What a lovely snack. Staff very friendly. Quite a good choice of Liverpool meals such as pie mash potatoes and peas. Will go back again.

Always lovely service and great quality food at Homebaked. I have been going here since it opened and its still as good. Pies are the main draw - my favourite is the mushroom and brandy, but the Shankly is a big hit with meat eaters. Great bread - and always a home made soup on the go. Definitely recommend, especially as they are so community focussed. A diamond in North Liverpool.

Can’t say had a good experience in this cafe because was a bit slow and wasn’t really clear Bacons was taste funny couldn’t really eat. Also the price what the hell for a cafe !!

Comida de calidad servida en un ambiente amigable, abierta toda la semana, no solo en días de partido, precios razonables, opciones vegetarianas y veganas siempre disponibles. Dirigido y atendido por locales, tanto personal remunerado como voluntarios. El espíritu empresarial social significa que están comprometidos con el abastecimiento local, por lo que el dinero permanece en la comunidad local. Awesome atmosphere and staff! An absolute pleasure to visit on a match day and the Shankly pies are fantastic! My 7 year old son and I were made to feel very welcome and we'll definitely be back :)

We had a wonderful breakfast at Homebaked at Anfield. My husband ordered a traditional English fry up, my girls had scrambled eggs and beans on toast and my son and I had toast and jam. Everything was great. They also made a delicious soya latte that was as pretty as it was tasty! Ambience was friendly, cute and cozy. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a yummy breakfast by Anfield stadium.

We were at Anfield for the rugby League and found this place to have a snack before the matches started. Busy so very popular, the menu offered all sorts of cakes, pies and much more. The pie we wanted wasn't available but the choice for the alternative went down very well. The traybake we had was delicious too. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff - nice way to start the day.

Went with a group and got to hear from the Treasurer about the story of the bakery and its amazing impact on the community and relationship with the surrounding area and with the club.

Welcoming, buzzing and atmospheric small cafe, run as a co-operative. Epitomising the best of Scouse culture - friendly, no-nonsense, industrious and humorous to a fault. Excellent ingredients and value to both vegetarian and English breakfasts. Plus a steaming hot cup of tea. Not able to find a single fault!

Yesterday I catered for my nieces wedding and needed some savory pastries for people to eat as they arrived and later to soak up some beer I ordered a huge amount of sausage rolls for the guests from the moment I made contact with Ang from the bakery she did everything to ensure that every aspect of what we required was done even offering to come in on Easter Sunday morning to ensure the sausage rolls were at there freshest anybody reading this and not knowing the quality of the food would think well it’s only sausage rolls that’s like saying a Ferrari is only a car homebaked is a beacon to any community project promoting the talents of local people and is a credit to Anfield and the whole of Liverpool thank you so much

Grew up round the corner & its boss to see a local independent doing well. Loads of happy faves each visit & the food is sound. Well done.

Visitamos para hacer algunas compras de pastel en serio, como Shankly Pies, que hemos tenido antes. Mientras visitaba a mi esposo, no pude resistir un pastel de carne con puré y salsa que, según él, era muy, muy sabroso. Desayuné, también muy buena y buena relación calidad-precio. Ambos con café que también era bueno. Estaba lleno mientras estábamos allí, pero el personal era servicial y amable y había un agradable ambiente feliz. También compramos pan y bollos, otra vez muy sabrosos. El pan en particular era muy bueno. Nos encanta este lugar. La calidad de la comida no puede ser exagerada.

Acabamos de regresar a casa de un crucero de 14 días "A Taste of Paradise" en la celebración de Marella en el Caribe y tenemos que dar crédito cuando se lo merece. Hemos estado navegando con varias compañías por más de 18 años y debo decir que este es uno de los mejores cruceros en los que hemos estado.

Tried a Shankly pie from here as I was recommended.

Llamé a este pequeño café ayer para tomar una taza y un bocadillo. Mi otra mitad acaba de tener un rollo de salchicha, pero qué rollo de salchicha. No es el rollo de todos los días que recogería en su supermercado local. ¡Una grasa jugosa, una ~ grasa como en mucha carne, no grasa como en grasa! Ella dijo que estaba delicioso. Elegí una rebanada de pastel de frutas. Suave, afrutado e igualmente delicioso. Los cafés también estaban bien. Ubicado un poco demasiado cerca de Anfield para un par de Blues, pero eso no nos impedirá regresar. Bien hecho a todos los que han hecho de esta pequeña joya un éxito local.

Boxing day game at Anfield, Liverpool v Newcastle. My first trip to Anfield, actually, and the pie shop is located right outside the stadium. Immensely popular, and once you taste the pies you'll understand why. Great service, very busy pre game of course, and the particular pie I ordered (Shankly) lived up to its reputation. Highly recommended, and must visit if you're visiting Anfield.

We bought two pies at their stall at the Christmas Market on St George’s plateau. One was called a ‘Bill Shankly ‘ containing steak. The other was a vegan pie. Both were delish, they are not cheap but they are tasty. Friendly staff too that served us.

Visited for breakfast with my husband before stadium tour. What a lovely place and lovely people. Food was cooked perfect and everything was fresh. I am not disappointment and highly recommended.

I was working in the Anfield area on wed 11-7-18 and passed the home baked cafe and bakeryand was tempted in by the aroma of coffee ,I bought coffee sausage rolls and scones and they were delicious and fantastic value for money. Will be there again next week the staff were Happy as well .

Mi pareja y yo estábamos esperando para hacer la excursión Anfield. Tener prometieron desayuno que era un toque decepcionado que sólo había 1 cafetería abierta. Resulta que estaba lejos de ser una mala cosa. Le encantó el desayuno vegetariano, describiendo como la mejor que ha tenido. Mi rollo de tocino era muy bueno también, el pan horneado supongo que era en el lugar. Todo sobre el café merece ser elogiado. Gracias

As everyone has said, the pies really are fantastic - but once you walk in, you also understand the real ethos of the place. I wanted to do this review to a) draw people's attention to the Mushroom & Brandy pie. I DO like the Shankly Pie but, for me, this veggie delight has an amazing depth of flavour. (Most newbies will, I suspect, go for the Shankly or Scouse Pie), and b) if you can't get over to Anfield, and happen to be in the south of the city centre, HomeBaked have a stall at Lark Lane and Granby Street markets (check for details, but each market is open on one Saturday every month) - the people serving, as always, are terrific!

Visited on a Friday morning, having read great reviews and we weren’t disappointed. Wonderful bread with sausage and bacon and great coffees. Very friendly staff and we bought 4 frozen pies to takeaway- fresh pies are also available. We will be returning soon.

I came for two LFC matches, and ate there 4 out of the 7 days i was in Liverpool. Love how friendly the staff is, and the story of Homebaked is just amazing. The pies our top notch! Defiantly a must go to if giving...

If you want a pie for the match, this is where you need to go. They're delicious and amply filled. I love the cheese pies and the chicken and ham. Great sandwiches, brownies and coffee too.

Este es nuestro lugar para ir a tomar un bocado rápido antes de un partido de fútbol. Ni siquiera me gusta mucho normalmente, tartas, pero siempre son absolutamente acertadas en caseras. También es una excelente causa (dirigido comunidad, sin fines de lucro, dirigido eventos de la comunidad, etc.). Normalmente voy por la tarta o el Shankly queremso dedicar. No te puedes equivocar!

Gestión comunitaria de panadería de Liverpool FC. Visitamos el almuerzo tarde entre semana y eran todos de tartas deliciosas queremso dedicar pero tenía una versión de pollo y verduras. Muy bonito. Dieron un pan de gran pan - por debajo de un fiver. Altamente recomendado.

We had a pie and a sausage roll here before the Legends game, and the food was excellent. The staff are really friendly and we will definitely be back.

While visiting Anfield recently for the FA cup match against Plymouth Argyle, we decided to eat in this bakery, really pleased that we did, after a very long journey, all we could see around the ground was the same usual fast food outlets, burgers, hot dogs and chips!!! This bakery sells the most amazing pies, bread, cakes and biscuits all made on the premises. There is a small area for sitting, so we were lucky to find a free table, where I enjoyed the Scouse pie, my husband had the Chicken &Veg, and my son had the Shankly, the pastry was mouthwatering and the fillings were full of fresh meat and vegetables.All the staff were incredibly friendly, although we found that with everyone we met on that day.So if you are looking for some great proper homebaked food, we can thoroughly recommend The Homebaked at Anfield, its right across from the stadium, so not far to walk. You wont regret it.

I visit Homebaked every time I go to Anfield, and I wish I lived closer as I would visit for freshly baked bread every week.The pies and cakes are baked with care and are beautifully turned out and well priced. Don't just visit on match day, if you live nearby pop in to this community based enterprise and stop for a coffee and a salad for lunch!I love love love this place, you must try their pies and cakes, and bead, and and and

Visited here after being recommended by the wife having had a bad experience in another local establishment. I had heard of what homebaked have been doing and was keen to investigate. I was impressed!It is in a large part a community bakery selling fresh pies, freshly baked loaves, rolls, cakes and other bready type of things! In other parts it is also a cafe-cum-bistro serving a range of teas and coffees as well as breakfast products and this is where my interest was aimed.I was tempted by beans on toast but went for a bacon on toast. It came done on fresh baked and sliced bread and was great value for £2.50. My missus had a cheese and ham toastie and it looked splendid.I was pleasantly surprised, everything is priced so it's affordable to the community, it is clean and well laid out and I will be visiting again as well as purchasing pies and bread. Well done to the people behind bringing this famous bakery back to life, it's alive and kicking.

Went here for a brunch before a game at Goodison - much easier for an away fan than for a Liverpool. Staff were very welcoming and served a top tea and toastie. Can see why it has such a high reputation in the local community and not just on match days.

When you visit Anfield, have a quick look around you and you can't miss this lovely corner cafe/bakery. Walk in. Don't expect to be welcomed by any beautifully decorated room, fancy cups/cutlery, comfy tables or relaxing ambience (especially on match days).But what you get is so much more and important! Firstly, you get fresh, cooked on the day pies and soups, as well as breads, accompanied by the wide, genuine smiles of its staff.To try and compare the mass-manufactured pies you'll get in the surrounded chip shops and canteens would be a sacrilege to any pie-eating chap in the country!! You can taste the freshness - as simple as that.Your money will go towards supporting the local community. You see, HomeBaked is a co-operative bakery which puts your money back into the community. Its staff consists of local residents and supporters that get together to take an active part in the redevelopment of the area. I do remember when HomeBaked had placed an advert on Kickstarter in order to buy an oven - the very oven your pies will be coming out from (I guess).

This place serves the best pies in Liverpool. Tasty, hot and filled with meat. Great value for money and lots of history.Staff are amazing, I would definitely recommend this place.

An independent bakery right in the shadow of The Kop, Nice friendly staff serving freshly baked pies that are out of this world. Once you've been here you won't go anywhere else for your pre or post match food. Homebaked I salute you, long may you reign.
