Good lamb hotpot and red cabbage. Would have preferred the bread as it comes rather than it cut in two chunks and then very lightly toasted which gave the impression that it was yesterday's leftovers which I'm it wasn't. Didn't like the background music.

Lovely place to visit. My husband had the roast lamb and I had the bangers and mash. Both absolutely delicious. I really wanted a dessert as they looked amazing, but I was too full. Will definitely be re-visiting.

Hmm service did let this place down, young lady wasnt really ettentative to our needs, no glass with a bottle of beer, said they dont sell the right size bottles of water only 330ml? But that is the right size, isnt it, no ice or lemon with water, not even looking at us when taking our money, sorry we wont be back.

My 1st visit here. Will definitely return. Xmas decs out. Good portions. I had soup & sandwich with salad. They were accomodating when my friend asked for extra coleslaw. No extra charge. Good variety of drinks, acohol & non alcohol. 🤶🎅🥂

We love Llandudno and try to stay at least 3 times a year and we always go to Home Cooking. Everything is excellent, the staff are so friendly and helpful and the food is superb, I love the selection of choices too on the menu. The prices are very reasonable. The weather was freezing but the welcome here more than made up for that. Thanks for 2 lovely evenings and hopefully we'll see you soon.

It was very nice to be able to enjoy a full roast Turkey dinner on a Saturday evening, which was prepared perfectly. The service we received, considering we walked in on what I believe was a fully booked Saturday night, was superb. The range of drinks on offer was very good, and I opted for a local craft ale which I would suggest was very well selected. Some delicious dessert options, including my Irish Cream Tiramisu which was highly enjoyable. Very good value for money. And would definitely return again.

Lovely little place. Very friendly staff and the food was amazing. You can tell its traditional home cooked food and it tasted fantastic. We both had the traditional roast dinner one beef and one lamb and supper sized it. Was a mountain of food that really hit the spot. Highly recommended.

Visited a few times years ago, when it was a decent cafe... what a transformation! We didn't book, but the service was superb and the food was amazing. We'll definitely be back.

Didn't book but they had room. Steak and ale pie for both of us but salmon and sweet potato fries on the next table looked delicious and think I would try next time.

Enjoyed a breakfast here , but very unhappy about paying £5.98 ( shown on the bill as two seperate £2.99) ,for a small pot of tea with 2 tea bags in it .... when I questioned it I was told it is usually in two separate teapots..I asked to speak with the manager and the chef came out and said it is what it is .... if I wanted to speak to a manager I would have to write it down and he would get back to me ...not sure who would manage a major problem in that case ... Anyway a real shame because our food was nice and the service of the food was pleasant ...

It is an excellent place for food service and a convenient place to go with friends to eat. We often book a table when we'r at Deganwy Marina.

Simply divine, quality food , excellent friendly service ,we have eaten here many times,we even had our wedding meal here with a large group and the food and service was fantastic. A gem in the heart of beautiful Llandudno. Highly recommended, book in advance to avoid disappointment, although walk-ins are available depending on time and certain days.

A welcoming venue for quality, well priced food and service. To enhance your visit to LLandudno this is the place to eat. Be aware it gets busy in season at lunch time, arrive early or pre plan by booking.

Just had the best steak I’ve had for years, the other 3 meals were exceptional too. Beautiful food at a very fair price served by excellent staff. I felt bad as they can’t take a tip from a card and I didn’t have cash on me. I know, that old chestnut Will most definitely be back.

They are booked solid, which is a good thing. We tried our luck at the door and were lucky, they had a table for 2 spare. We had the excellent fish and chips. Beer is only in bottles but its the good stuff. Great service and very clean.

Visited Llandudno for the day and searched trip advisor for somewhere to have a spot of lunch. This lived up to all the reviews and the pork I had was excellent. Lovely service and great value for money. Highly recommend this, but would definitely check and book first. A lot of people were arriving and leaving disappointed as it was fully booked.

We strutted from place to place to place in the the desperate hope a table could be secured on a Saturday evening to feed a gaggle of hungry hippos. Felt lucky to procure seats outside of this this place; observing the plates which were delivered as we fingered our paper menus, we began to salivate from every orifice. The aroma of freshly cooked food bellowed from inside as the waitresses minced around with biro pens wearing their hair in donuts serving manhattan realness. After a short wait, a delivery of frozen microwavable meals were dropped off at the table. Hardly home cooking. I’m beginning to really appreciate the talents of the menu writers; my gosh they are expertise at polishing turrds. The wine was mediocre- the type you would buy three for a fives from Threshers in the late eights. I should have gone to the local chippy- large gravy n chips on a bap it’ll be for me next time. Lovely toilets though

Popped in on of chance, glad we did very busy but staff all very bright and helpful husband had bangers and mash & veg it was cooked to his taste I had fish pie it was so tasty 5 different vegetables and piping hot both had desserts crumble & meringue with raspberries & cream lovely. Hygiene standards very high.Well done.

Place was fully booked, by luck there was an outside table had just become available. Food was really good and the service very friendly. Would eat here again if visiting Llandudno.

Visited for the first time on a very busy Bank Holiday. Service was very quick and friendly. The food was excellent, the lamb was superb. The meals were generous portions and we will certainly go again.

We tried to book by phone before our holiday started but was told that they had no more bookings available but they kept a number of tables for walk ins.Visited for lunch and luckily they had a spare table inside. Son and husband enjoyed their burger and I had the Lasgne with salad and garlic bread. All Delicious.... however the Creme Brule I had for dessert was spoonfuls of nostalgia and happinessThe restaurant was very clean, service was friendly, polite and timely. Most of all it was theSimple food excellently cooked and presented.

So glad to have found this restaurant on our recent trip to Llandudno. We went there twice, first time we were lucky enough to be offered a table without a booking for lunch. The salmon with hollandaise sauce and chicken y feny were both a hit. Starters of deep fried cheese cubes with cranberry sauce and Welsh paté were also great. The food arrived promptly. Menus were cleaned and disinfected after each customer in spite of a busy restaurant. Could not get a booking for the following day but got one for the day after. Would definitely return there on my next trip to Llandudno.

This Restaurant provides excellent food maybe on the tad expensive side but still a really nice place to eat. Staff are great. Felt Safe and Covid Secure.

We were excited about coming here as this restaurant seemed very popular. Ordered fish and chips, but unfortunately the fish was so greasy that the oil was literally dripping off the plates. Staff were friendly and helpful, but the quality of the food was not good.

The blue cheese salad was delicious and my son enjoyed his spaghetti Bolognese. Staff were lovely, nice chilled out vibe.

Looking for an open restaurant in Llandudno for Monday late afternoon/early evening is almost impossible. Came across Home Cookin' who managed to fit us in. Tasteful decor, friendly staff and excellent food.Started off with garlic mushrooms. Looked so simple but wow, did it pack a punch.Main was cod, chunky chips and mushy peas. Again, it did not disappoint.Dessert was berry cheesecake. Perfectly proportioned and a delight to eat.My only complaint is that for me to return it's a 5 hour drive , but definitely will return next time in Llandudno.

We are never disappointed when spending an evening here. Food is freshly prepared and service good. Reasonable prices and clean environment. What more do you need? Highly recommend.

An absolute gem,visited twice during our 4 night stay, the roast dinners are very genours portions with all fresh vegetables and the desserts are just as good. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Looking forward to our next visit, would highly recommend.

The food was nice we all enjoyed our meals we have been on several occasions but the service was shocking we are done with this place we had finished our meals but not our drinks when the waitress brought the bill and said two minutes we need the table no tips from us such a shame because it used to be pleasant place to go.

We had booked a table but needed to eat earlier, the staff were very attentive and quickly got us a table. We had a roast dinner it was fresh,hot. and very tasty it was very clean and relaxing place to eat. The staff were all lovely and nothing was too much trouble I would advise to book as people were being turned away. Will definitely return.

I’ve eaten here many times over the years. All fresh home cooked food. Just walk towards the Great Orme from the direction of the town it’s on the right hand side of the street. It’s always busy so best to book

We were lucky enough to eat here for an early dinner. We had lasagna, pork and a steak. All of which were excellent especially the steak it just melted in your mouth. The local lager was also very good.We will definitely be back and would definitely recommend. Please note that there are a few walk in tables but I would recommend booking in advance.

We visited this place while staying in Llandudno for the day. We were lucky to find a table as they were fully booked. I had the lasagne and my fiance had a chicken bake. Both were delicious and tastefully. The service was fabulous too. Thanks, guys. We will be back when we come to Llandudno again

Found this restaurant from a quick Trip Advisor search whilst in Llandudno and decided to book a table. We were welcomed by the very friendly employees upon arrival and seated in a comfortable booth area by the window which was great. We ordered the steak with chios and the steak and ale pie and they were both cooked to perfection. The meat was high quality and fell apart and the pie came with a lovely home baked buttery pastry with a little stamp for Home Cookin with lots of meat. My husband really enjoyed his steak too which was a good size and cooked exactly right. Really recommend this restaurant. Tip: take some cash because you will want to leave a tip and it can't be done by card unfortunately.

Best roast we had out in ages! We were lucky enough to get a walk in...but if you want to eat here make sure you book well in advance (they were booked up for the next few evenings). Simple food done very well. We had the roast lamb which was tender and tasty, a good selection of veg and a cheeky Yorkshire pudding. No room for a desert as I upgraded to a large roast for a whole £1.50 more.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, the food just wasn’t the best but we think it was because they were quite busy being it a really sunny day and everyone wanting to eat.

We visited home cooking for lunch on a nice sunny day and asked to be seated outside with our dog. We were served by the lovely tall blonde waitress (with glasses) very friendly and accommodating, as were all of the staff.It was a hot day and our dog was provided with a fresh bowl of water, staff were also all very dog friendly.Our drinks arrived quickly, even though the restaurant was quite busy. We ordered the crispy bacon and chicken Caesar salad and a sandwich with the soup of the day, which was vegetable. The food was tasty and obviously homemade. Also fairly priced and arrived quickly as well. Charming outdoor seating and aesthetically pleasing scenery.Very positive and overall wonderful experience, would definitely recommend/return.

We visited during a recent stay in Llandudno and were enticed by all the positive reviews on here. The service was friendly and the menu is varied so you are sure to find something to your taste (albeit slightly eclectic: curry, lasagne and pies all on one menu!). I went for the chicken with leek and my partner the fishcakes. The food arrived quickly and was of a good standard. Not gastropub standard of quality or taste but then that is not what home cookin' is aiming for as revealed in its name. It is solid recipes and crowd pleasers that you cook and enjoy at home.

As per the title, you have to book in advance to get a table here and it is worth it. My girlfriend booked in advance prior to my knowledge and I’m happy she did as the food and service was brilliant. We had a starter each, my partner had the Brie with cranberry sauce - which I tried a bit of, and it was superb, whilst I opted for the garlic bread with cheese on two slices of ciabatta bread, this was also lovely. Although our plates were cleared away quickly, I do think if you do want to enjoy your food, you should opt for a 15 minute wait between courses which can be asked for when any member of staff is close by as I did feel if he hadn’t have asked, we’d have been onto our main course a bit quicker than what we’d usually like. For mains, considering we were in Wales, it’d be rude not to try the roast leg of lamb, which we both ordered that came served with mint sauce, steamed veg and roast potatoes served in gravy, the lamb was tender and full of flavour.We also went for a dessert to finish the evening off, my girlfriend had the blackberry and apple crumble served with custard, while I had the crème brûlée which was served with a ball of vanilla ice cream.Overall, a nice meal with friendly staff, thank you,

After arriving a little late with no booking I was told that there were no available tables inside and that they could accommodate me but only outside. I opted to be a lunatic for the evening and took them up on the offer of a table outside. I was seen to promptly and placed my order for the Roast Welsh lamb & vegetables. My food arrived in a very timely fashion & as I began to tuck in I was informed that a table had become available and I was invited inside. The food was delicious, home cooked, restaurant quality food and at a very reasonable price. You could tell that all the food had been prepared on site with no pre-prepped vegetables, frozen meals or packets involved. I went for the Apple & Blackberry crumble for dessert which was also delicious. At only £22.50 for a main course, dessert and a pint of Welsh lager I thought it was excellent value. My only regret is that I had no cash on me and therefore I was unable to leave my waitress a tip. Hopefully she will see this review and know that I was a happy customer! Thoroughly recommend if you're ever in Llandudno.

On our third visit to Llandudno we visited Home Cooking. Service was very good but the food was outstanding so we ate their three nights on the trot excellent food and at a very good price. Could not have been better

I went to the restaurant with my cousin as we were having a day out in Llandudno. I have been before and it’s very efficient and clean and the staff are always very friendly. We both had the steak pie which was absolutely delicious with home-made chips and peas. We also enjoyed a bottle of Merlot.

The reviews definitely do this place justice. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. The place is clearly popular as so many people came and were turned away as there were no tables! Might be best to call ahead and book as we were lucky enough to get a table as a walk in but not many after us!

We ate in Home Cookin' 4 times during a recent stay in Llandudno. Always excellent food and quick, friendly service. We finally managed to fit a dessert in on the last night & both the creme brulee & pavlova were wonderful.

I love a place that offers a roast dinner any day of the week, we could have had beef, lamb, turkey and opted for the turkey. Big portion of meat, lots of veg, potatoes, stuffing and a pig in blanket, all piping hot and with as much gravy as you like! Lovely polite hard working staff too. Thank you for fitting us in without a booking. We will be back when in Llandudno!

We had Sunday lunch at Home Cookin, the choice was great & the food quality is second to none, speedy service and courteous staff.

The food here is fantastic and there is so much choice on the menu. The staff are really friendly and helpful and I can’t praise this place enough. Book in advance as the restaurant is very popular .

If you want.a.meal that tastes homemade this is the place to.eat. The staff are fantastic and can't do enough to please. The meals I had Roast Beef were excellent. If you want to.eat here you need to book well in advance because it is extremely popular

We had our original Sunday lunch plans at another restaurant cancelled at fairly short notice, and so managed to get booked booked in at Home Cookin'. The food was good, and the meat portions for the roast were generous. The staff were friendly & attentive (which sadly wasn't appreciated by some of the other customers). Price was reasonable too. Happily recommend to others.

On our first evening in Llandudno we headed for the Home Cookin' restaurant having done a reconnaissance during the day of the many places to eat in town. We were attracted by the better than average choice of Vegetarian / Vegan options which were clearly well thought out, imaginative and varied - well done and thank you for that ! We were fortunate in that we hadn't booked and the restaurant was very busy (always a good sign) but a table for two had just been vacated and we were quickly seated after the table/chairs had been properly cleaned. It's clearly best to book to guarantee a table at your preferred time.We were provided with menus and it didn't take long to select a Vegetable & Blue Cheese Pie and a Sweet Potato roulade. To enjoy with the meal we decided to have a bottle of red wine which was on offer as a 'special' - very nice it was too. The food wasn't too long being served, giving us time to admire the décor and prepare our appetites - the food was served very nicely though there was a slight snag with mine in that it should have been served with peas - we drew attention to the waitress who looked worried to death and dashed back to the kitchen where she 'found' my peas in a small dish - she had forgotten to add it to my plate - all very quickly rectified with a sincere apology though in fairness the member of staff was great and we laughed it off. There was certainly a good plateful of food, served hot and we both enjoyed it immensely in terms of quality, taste and being full to the brim, thus declining a dessert.We found the staff to be really good - very efficient, friendly and eager to please - qualities that perhaps family run restaurants do best at. We left leaving a 10% tip as we had been very pleased with the service and meal. If we had stayed for a few more days I'm sure that we would have returned - next time !

Enjoyed a fabulous meal lovely fish and fantastic steak which was beautifully cooked and served perfectly medium rare as requested. Friendly professional staff and social distancing and sanitising all handled very well. Felt very comfortable eating at this lovely restaurant.

We had pre booked and went to check it out beforehand and from the outside it didn’t look too inviting so we were apprehensive about going. We needn’t have been as we were greeted with a warm welcome. The meal and service were excellent would recommend we’ll definitely visit again when we are in the area. Thank you

Just wanted the thank Home Cookin for a wonderful meal last night. We booked a week before and could only get 9pm they said they would call me if any earlier table came up and it did. Lovely food great ambience and fabulous friendly staff. Great night

my mum and i had a lovely meal here ,we were so much looking forward to having time to unwind after having such an awful time in lockdown.We were discussing news about my Niece that was due to have a baby that evening and we were so excited.My mum has a hearing issue and she does have a hearing aid but the couple behind just before they left were very rude to us.The lady said they didnt want to hear about babies ,it wasnt up to them it was a private conversation.The lady grabbed my mums hand and said were very loud darling ,i said dont be so rude.The staff didnt really help ,it was very upsetting for my Mum.If peaple have a disability peapeple should be more caring,were not supposed to be locked away in a box.

Stayed in Llandudno last week and visited this restaurant 3 times. Lovely home cooked food, home made curry, steak/ ale pie, sea bass, fish and chips, lamb dinner all very very nice. The menu itself has a lot on to choose from and everything is freshly prepared. The waitress staff are very friendly and the decor inside the restaurant is good. Book to avoid disappointment as this restaurant is very popular. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great service and superb home cooked food in nice surroundings. Waiter service was excellent and attentive. Food nicely presented and flavoursome. An excellent choice of vegetables in your side dish, cooked to perfection. Would visit again. My only issue would be that the booking system was a bit hit and miss, but could be forgiven for such excellent restaurant service and food.

Food was okay temperature was a bit off like it had been microwaved some parts of my lasagna where red hot and others parts cold same with my daughters chicken nuggets some where hot and others where cold, the crumble was nice but again it was part cold part red hot was very weird wasn’t anything special wouldn’t rush back
