Food was delivered very quickly and the food overall was alright. The chapati was kinda tough in places though, more than it should be anyway. The prawn butterfly was also about the size of a coaster, seemed slightly overcooked and didn’t even come with a lemon. And I paid just under £6 for the butterfly alone ._. The £2.50 delivery fee is also ridiculous considering we live literally 5 minutes (and that’s walking distance) from the restaurant. If it wasn’t for the reliable delivery then I’d probably order from somewhere else.

Missing one dish. Food quality average.

Only two things bit dissapointing: 1) Person who answers the phone should be able to help and not tell customer to call back when manager there in one hour and should be able to take orders over phone. Why answer the phone 2) not good to be advertising under loads of places just eat, Uber eats, alleatin and about 6 other places and have different prices for set meal some places were £24.95 some were £32.95 and some were £28.45. Plus if same restaurant then set meals should all the say the same not different Not impressed by all menus were different in different places Food is very tasty 😋

First time ordering and very impressed. Order was on time & correct and really tasty! We’ve been looking for a decent Indian restaurant the last year or so and think we’ve finally found it.

Amazing flavours! Loved the food.

Usually I like the food from here but this time it was disappointing. Was just quite bland this time and my naan bread was burnt. Hopefully this was a one off as they are generally great.

Overall really tasteless. Some of the food was undercooked, while the naan bread was nearly burned. In addition the order was late. Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend.

Overall the food was nice, came hot and fast delivery. The only issue is that the Bhuna curry dish is a bit small and doesn’t come with Nan bread or anything

I’ve always ordered from this restaurant, but the last few times I’ve had to wait over two hours for my food! With no refund or money off. The time before I waited 2 and a half hours and when my food came, the curry had opened and gone over everything and one of the starters were missing… really disappointing

I ordered food for 22:00, got call from their delivery driver at 20:19 saying he was 2 mins away with my food. I told him i ordered for 22:00 not now he try to tell i can take the food now, eventhough i ordered the food for when i start work at 22:00. Afterwards he agreed to come bk at 22:00. The food was not really hot you can tell they heated it up in micro wave and send it bk. Rather than making new food. Lamb Tikka Jalfreizi had no taste it felt watery. This guys need to learn how to cut lamb cause the pieces of lamb in the Lamb Tikka Jalfreizi were massive chunks. Nan bread was really hard you could tell nan bread was made couple hours before. VOW TO NEVER USE THEM AGAIN

food wasn’t that hot, was very late as perusal, didn’t get any popadoms. Not using anymore as I’ve used for years and years now and going down hill big time

Ended up ordering from somewhere else as order was over an hour late (2.5 hours total from order to delivery, after initial delivery estimate of one hour). Refund request was rejected.

The food was good and I enjoyed it. It’s just a shame we had to wait so long. I ordered my food at 7pm and didn’t get to eat until 10pm.... I also had to go and pick it up myself because I waited two and a half hours for it to arrive and no sign of any delivery, so called up and said we would drive to them instead. Maybe they could work on this in future because they do good food.

Great food, late delivery - but it was NYE

Alright so Christas Eve I'm guessing is a busy night but seriously. Nearly 3 hours and it was missing 2 items.

I placed the order at 18:10. I called the restaurant at 19:30, and I was told that the driver was on his way, we live 5 minutes (if that) from the restaurant. The driver didn't arrive until 20:15 by which point I was so annoyed that I told him to take it back. I've heard good things about this restaurant, it's just a shame this was my 1st experience, possibly my last.

Our food was late by 30 minutes and we called the restaurant, we were told it would be another 30 minutes and there was nothing they could do, before I could speak they hung up on me. 40 minutes later (over 2 hours after we ordered) we received the food but no drink. I called the restaurant again to be told there was nothing they could do and hung up on me again. The food was nice but the service was appalling, it’s not acceptable to treat customers that way wether it’s a just eat order or not. Very very poor.

Where do I start? First off I ordered at 18.11pm. Informed it will be delivered at 19.15pm. Then told the restaurant is busy so it would be delivered at 20.05. Doesn’t arrive so call the restaurant. It will be there in 20 mins. Call again and got a rude response telling me I only ordered at 7.15! Err no I don’t think so and it finally turns up after 2 more phone calls at 20.45. On top of this, I don’t get the curry I ordered! The last time I waited this long for any food was for Pizza Hut years back and I haven’t ordered from them since!

Delivery time says 30-45 minutes but we were given a time 80 minutes after we ordered. The place is a 15 minute bike ride away. Then it was 15 minutes later than the 80 anyway and the guy called me to ask me to come down rather than deliver to the door, claiming something about parking. The food was bland - the vegetables had been overcooked to mush and the prawn vindaloo was mostly soup. They gave us complimentary poppadoms (fairly standard) but they were not crisp. Onion bhaji and rice were they only half-decent part.

Worse service ever would not recommend to anyone food qaulity awful.

Food was amazing and arrived very hot which is definitely something we look for. Apart from being late it was lush will definitely order from again

This food is exquisite. Ordered the first time and got it an hour late. Decided to order again and it was very late again. Massively worth the wait though and hot when it arrived. Will continue eating here.

AVOID!!!! Staff was very rude, I waited 30 mins outside premier inn for him to deliver and got a phone call saying he was going to be late, I go back upto the room and 15 mins later he rings shouting at me as I’m not down there ready to collect it as he’s really busy! Asked for chicken tikka masala and received a watery disgusting mess of a curry nothing like the picture! I wouldn’t feed it to my dog. Delivery time said 7pm and I got it at 7:40 with a rude delivery man Would avoid!!

Good food, portions are decent enough. I liked my Ceylon and the biriyani was good. Delivery man was friendly.

The order was WRONG we ordered all vegetarian but was given a chicken korma instead of a mushroom biriyani which was disappointing as we couldn’t eat it! But over all decent!

Food is always amazing - it's my go to Indian takeaway. It arrived a little late this time but at Saturday peak hours it is understandable and the food arrived still very hot. Lovely service and amazing tasting food. Looking forward to eating here again! X

Best Indian Takeaway in the area

Polite delivery person. Food was nicely cooked and meat succulent and tender. All could not be consumed - will eat some of the unopened food at a later time. I’m Indian orienated my dad was a chef and this food is good Indian food from Holloway Indian . No problems. I won’t give my stars at this point as I’m yet to complete eating all my order of food from them. But what I did eat was over very good. It was excellent.

The food was good and a great price, but the garlic chicken was extremely greasy.

Not consistent in quality. But is really Indian food. Sometimes the sourse is very watery and sometimes is good and sometimes is very well done. We usually have chicken tikka masala.

Poor delivery service. We had to wait almost 3hrs for our takeaway to arrive. We had to call the takeaway 4 times, not once did they apologies either or offer us any sort of compensation for the wait. Food was average when it finally arrived.

Just Eat needs to sort out their delivery system

We have ordered a few times from this restaurant. However on this occasion our food arrived late and was lukewarm.

He estado recibiendo comida para llevar de Holloway Indian por más de 20 años y nunca tuve una sola queja. La comida es consistentemente buena y sabrosa. Creo que este es un negocio familiar, los rostros siempre son familiares y se entregan solos. Si visita, puede ver la comida preparada para que no tenga que dudar de la limpieza. Nunca he revisado un restaurante antes, pero este merece una mención, ¡es simplemente el mejor!

Food did not arrive... at all. Please avoid this resturant. They were extremely rude and put down the phone on me when I asked where the order was. Not only did they try and make poor excuses as to why they had not even made my order, but after I raised the issue they told just eat they had delivered the order. I had to visit the store in order to rectify this as just eat could not refund the order that was confirmed as delivered. Not once would they apologise for this. Waste of time. It's a shame I didnt see the other bad reviews before I ordered.

This is the first time ordering from here, the food was quite tasty and I would order from here again

I had tried all the indian takeaways and had found HIT to be the best by a mile... but they havent been as good recentlt. Tbe peshwari naan was dry and thin not soft and beaufiful like it once was, and the meat sometimes seems a bit dry. It is by no means a terrible takeaway and i don't want you to be discouraged from ordering... I am writing this mainly so they have motivation to go back to their past AMAZING quality. I will order every few months to see if its got better bit til then I will have to restart my quest to find the best indian in my area. I really am a food snob tho tbh. I love food. Most people would enjoy the food.

These guys were good. The food was fresh and well cooked. The kebabs were to die for. Simply brilliant.

Usually give all stars but tonight my order was due around 955 didn't turn up till 1030 though must say was nice and hot and delicious still, just not happy about waiting so long and with no explanation to why late.

The food was ok. However the meal was 20 minutes late. They also advertised a free side, which we asked for in the comments box, but they did not provide it. Very disappointing service. We will not be going back to them.

Food ok but order turned up with no drinks . Resteraunt says they are too busy to send me the drinks i've allready paid for (but they forgot to pack). Will not be using them again.

Food took an hour and a half to arrive. Had to call 3 times to see where the guy was and I kept being told it would be 5 minutes and that the driver was just round the corner... 45 minutes later still no food so we called AGAIN and the person I spoke to on the phone (who I found out was the manager) HUNG UP on me. Check your customer service cause it sucks. Then the delivery driver has the cheek to almost walk off without giving us change then says he doesn't have any change to give us..ABSOLUTE JOKE.

Disappointing. Veg curry and biryani consisted of generic frozen veg mix, no interesting spices or flavours. Ordered a popadom and received one(!) soft/stale popadom. I'm the plus side, The tarka Dahl was nice and flavoursome and Bombay potato was good.

Overpriced, didn't receive my free bottle of coke and side order and the curry was watery. Naan bread was stale and burnt.

Absolutely impressed,the food delivery was prompt.The food was delicious and very filling we were able to put some up for later haven't ordered Indian food for 14 years due to not liking our first try from a different restaurant.Glad to have been recommended your restaurant by a friend.Yum!

They've been good before but not this time. Love the food but this one took over an hour, just under 80mins. Not the most pleasant customer service either when I checked in to ask after an hour. If you have to chase up twice, it's not worth a reorder.

Food and value for money is great and will definitely order from here again. It did take a while to arrive and they forgot our drink, do room for improvement in terms of service
