Ho wah in Antrim

Ordered carryout of chicken fillet Curry with Noodles/chips. The chips and Noodles were fine. The curry sauce wasn't very spicy, quite Bland tasting and thick. Chicken breast fillet? Some pieces weren't the breast meat.. Usually happy with the quality of their food not so great on this occasion. Staff service was excellent.

Polite receptionist, very tasty meals and good delivery service. Recommended.

When I worked there the boss was always super nice, and willing to help me at a moment's notice, so we're the other employees, hygiene was always first and the food was amazing

Decent food ar reasonable prices. Limited menu at lunch, but 3 course for less than £10 a head. Staff are nice and friendly and service is good.

We have been waiting over an hour. Have been told 30-40 minutes. I have ordered roasted duck, spend more time removing skin as it wasn't roasted at all and found big chunk of bone, and thankfully it was me as I was sharing my dish with my child and she could easily choke on it.

Red haired lady at reception took one look at us a said we are busy are you sure you want to wait i said do you not want to serve us and asked for tge manager she said hes busy and i said i find you very rude to which she said i find you f...ing rude too and refused to get the manager and laughed in our faces we were extremely embarrassed and as a ling tume 20 plus year custoneri was really stunned by this reception i will never set foot in this place again and i will not leave it at that

Man behind counter was so rude when we asked to sit in. Chips were as if they’d been just heated up, atmosphere wasn’t nice and the price you pay is shocking for the food you get in return. Avoid.

I have to say I personally haven’t had a bad meal yet from the ho wah. Always get delivery and they are pretty good with delivery time. Tried their breaded butterfly prawns and they were delicious just would say don’t put the salad leaves in as it made them bit soggy from the water off lettuce.

We ordered food at 9 and were told it would be 35 minutes. At 9.45 there was still no food. We tried to call every few minutes from 9.45-10.00 to check everything was alright and phone lines had been turned off even though they are open until 11 according to their posted hours. Food eventually arrived an hour after ordering. It was cold, portions were too inconsistent sizes and food was generally of a poor quality.

Absolutely 💯 superb food every time

Ordered meal last night. Dreadful. Telephoned to complain. Response from receptionist "then you wasted your money" she then hung up on me. I rang back to speak to the manager and he was no less helpful telling me that "I'm too busy". Avoid like the plague.

Flies on the window. Cold due to no heating. Poor lighting. Food appalling. We opted for the 3 course option. Couldn't bear to endure the dessert but still got charged.

Take-away made in person at restaurant reception, order of Pork Satay. Pork meat ‘gray’,tasteless,tough/fatty. Satay sauce, completely lacking flavour, in the dish’s main flavour/ingredient of/in a SATAY sauce, i.e peanut flavour. The only detectable ingredient/flavour seemed to have been the migraine inducing MSG!? Sorry to say,in my experience, this is the same for all the other Chinese Restaurants in Antrim Town in regards to Take-Away meals(seem to use one indistinguishable type of sauce to cover many of the various dishes of this sort) , & in particular with regards to ‘Satay’, (all bland,flavour-less in the peanut flavour dept) & how this sauce should be properly made & taste! DIS-APPOINTING. You live & learn!

Went to this Chinese restaurant with family last Saturday evening. First visit. As t aware of its existence as I don't get back to Antrim much. Anyway it was the best Chinese I've ever eaten in. First and foremost the food was really flavourful and the service was excellent. They have done a lovely job of the decor also and the ambience is just right. Will go back without a doubt.

I picked up a collection order containing salted chilli chicken, boiled rice with curry sauce this evening I got back to the house and unwrapped my meal, as I couldn’t even cut my salted chilli chicken it was over cooked it was like a brick. I rang them as I thought this is a joke i can’t even cut it so like I’m hardly gonna be able to eat it. I said to the fella on the phone “ ive just opened my collection and the salted chilli chicken is overcooked it’s like a rock I can’t even cut it” The fella on the phone was extremely rude he said look your going to have to bring me the food before I can do anything I then explained I’ve no way to get back into the town and I’m not ringing a taxi to drop a meal off, again he became very rude one of my friends took the phone and explained we have no way of getting into the town to bring the meal but even if u can send us the meal again but ‘cooked’. He became so defensive and said that we’ve caused trouble before with our orders we were oblivious to this as we’ve never made an issue of an order before until today... The fella working in the Ho Wah is so ignorant I wouldn’t waste my time ordering from it again. Absolute disgrace and he should be ashamed as to how he spoke.

They do thee most beautiful chicken fried rice with gravy. Always my favourite. Staff are always friendly. Option of sitting in or taking away. Have been to birthday parties in here and they have always so accommodating.

Great food. Decent time for delivery. Just the very odd time on delivery we get rice thats been reheated. Other than that it would have been 5 stars.

Food was like mulch and inedible so much so the dog wouldn't even eat it. It went straight to the bin. The food standards need to look at that place food looked grey. Don't waste your money here.

Got a takeaway/delivery from this place and will never get again. The chicken in the "curry" was very rubbery and the "curry" was bland and watery. Also got a starter portion of salted chilli chicken which was extremely overpowering in flavour.....I think some of the spices in the salted chilli were supposed to be in the curry. Poor effort and not for me.

This is the best Chinese we have ever been to. We have been going here for years. The food is second to none and the waiters and waitresses are so friendly. I would definitely recommend it.

Great place to eat. The food never disappoints at all. The chicken is all fresh and from the breast. Every staff member is welcoming and can't do enough for you. You wont be disappointed.

Just left restaurant feeling very disappointed,hungry,totally deflated. Chicken curry,beef curry tasted exactly the same,tastiest part of meal was mushrooms+gravy,with rice!!!! Asked for jug of water got 2pint glasses of tap water.. pint of Guinness was can from off-licence which was luke-warm. Made better curries at home myself WILL NOT BE BACK!!!!!; OVERPRICED, OVER-RATED, TRY YOUR OWN HOME MADE CURRY FIRST Be better keeping your money in your wallet DONT BOTHER WITH HERE.. This restaurant is, in my opinion the best place in Antrim to eat. Great food, brilliant service and very easy to get too.

Love the food here, and the service is amazing! Sunday lunch with a few friends for around £10 (or so) a head for 3 courses is just a perfect way to end the week.

Love & enjoy going here for a wee lunchtime meal with my sons. Staff are lovely friendly very welcoming. Always been a good environment when we have been in. Not had to wait about seated & served very quickly too. The portions are huge but the food is delicious. Could eat their starters spring rolls forever definitely one to order & try out. My eldest is Gluten Free & they always always adapt his meal for him at no extra cost so we can all enjoy a family Chinese meal together. Love this place can't recommend iy high enough.

Just wouldn't take my order unless I had cash because it was only £10.20 like would you ever will never be back and how rude they were over the phone about it. Have never been more annoyed and can't believe they would turn business away like she said to me try furama like how rude. I rang them because that's where I want to order from and they turn you away. Great place high fivers all round

This is like an old fashioned Chinese restaurant. Very nice staff, lovely food and nice atmosphere.would definitely recommend. Especially the fried cauliflower

Love this place. If you are unsure if you like Chinese try the lunch menu here. For 6.95 if my memory is right you get a 3 course meal and it is good to try something you normally wouldn't. Then when you take the other half for a.meal in the evening you can put your knowledge to good use. They also take card payments over £15.

Considerate service. Family friendly. Clean facilities. Very tasty food. We ordered one round of soft drinks, 3 children's 2 course meals, and a set meal for two. Came to just under £65. Considering the quality and quantity that arrived with the great service it was well worth it. Thank you for a lovely evening.

This place is very nice it’s food is exactly what you’d expect and the staff are nice however I think personally the price is a little too premium

If your looking for salt then this is your heaven ,I have had a few meals here because my wife likes their chicken balls and I always end up gagging for water definitely won't be returning very poor

Hadn't been in a while as the last Chinese take away shop we went to in town wasn't that nice. This time, we chose the Ho Wah and a far better meal than the other shop.Family very happy.... We'll be back..

Staff are nice and friendly to start! We ordered the black bean chicken, chilli salted chicken, fried rice, noodles, chips, chicken balls and curry sauce! Something basic and it didn’t disappoint! So fresh and tasty we had a lovely meal, thank you!

Thursday night family takeaway.. yum.. but apparently there is a big wedding on in China, so all our popular Chinese eateries were closed.. decision.. chippy, Indian, pizza.. wrong decision.. Ho Wah... Order was sweet and sour, king prawn curry, chicken curry.. chicken was pink in the centre , chicken balls were soggy in oil, and had a texture like pus, the chips would have been freshly cooked about a week ago.. they didn’t even see a plate before getting binned. Seriously the worst attempt at a Chinese takeaway I have ever experienced. Perhaps the chef got an invite to the wedding! I shall not be back...

Decided to order some Chinese takeaway on a Sunday night. Ordered a variety of dishes including Salted Chilli Chicken, Chicken Curry & Gravy Fried Rice. Picked the order up 15 minutes later! The food was roasting hot, well cooked & delicious! We will be back! (Forgot to mention, the staff are lovely)

Such a good find! Lovely attentive service, delicious food. Came back a second time in the same week. Set menus were extremely good value for money, good choices and big portions.

We needed a nice quick meal after a day out and before we dropped off a member of our group to the airport. We chose the set menu for 4. The staff were very accommodating, friendly and attentive. They brought the food quickly. The starter selection was very tasty & generous. The main courses equally so. I'm glad we weren't all flying out that night as we had a lot of food still to take home! The meal was excellent value working out at £15.50 per person - and more than enough for a second meal out of it for 3!

Now becoming one of the towns longest established Chinese restaurants and its easy to see why. Every time is consistently good, and even with having moved from the town, when back if we have Chinese food this is the restaurant of choice.

Run of the mill chinese. Clean with polite, friendly staff and the food is served hot and very promptly. Had to wait a while for the bill.

Hadnt been to the Ho Wah in years as i dont live local to it, but after a visit to Antrim town my dad and i called in for a bite to eat one Friday night, there wasn't many in the restaurant which I took as a bad sign but we decided to stay anyway, so glad we did, I ordered ribs to start and my dad ordered won tons, both were really lovely, we followed up with pork fillet and honey chilli chicken, again lovely, the staff were great and it was very reasonably priced, highly recommend

Been back loads of times and it never fails to impress. Best Chinese around. £7.25 for 3 course lunch.

I use this Chinese every week. It is great because the food is always excellent and the staff are so helpful. Staff remember who you are. Nd make you welcome every time. Only drawback is that access is only by stairs.

Really recommend this. I was down in the town visiting relatives and wentnwith my cousin here for lunch. I got 3 courses for £6.50! Not small portions either and food of the highest quality. The service aswell is too be commended. It was authentic Chinese food with a towns people service. Always aiming for only the best during our visit. Parking is fine. Does cost though but there is car parks with no charge close too the location. It's within walking distance from the town centre too. Highly recommend. Granted that is only one visit but a visit that I enjoyed thoroughly.

Probably the worst food I've had in a restaurant. Soups had the consistency of wallpaper paste and tasteless, chicken was like cardboard and the squid was like chewing on rubber.. basically inedible! Duck pancakes were just about ok.. will never go back!

Ha sido un largo tiempo desde que estaba en el Ho Wah, pero como hay un aparcamiento enorme fuera lo elegí como era conveniente. Fuimos a ver los pocos días antes de discutir el menú y también hacer una reserva, ya que había 11 de ellos. El personal era excelente, la comida era fabulosa, y muy razonable. Muy sorprendido en la factura pleasantlt. Sin duda volveremos. . .

Normalmente vaya aquí para menú del almuerzo, pero decidimos probar el menú de noche y tengo que decir que me quedé impresionado, una muy buena selección de entrantes / platos principales y precios muy razonables, terminamos con la comida para 2 por 32 libras. 00, que incluía 2 x 2 x 3 appertisers entrantes platos principales arroz frito con x y té o café, postre no estaba incluido, pero pagamos extra por la crema de hielo, después de ocho todo incluyendo 4 bebidas vino a £47. 00. El servicio era excelente y no me puedo quejar de nada.

Mi marido y yo pedimos la comida para dos de los wah ho. En general, la comida era disappounting. Las costillas estaban grasoso y el pollo a la mantequilla era como abrir un similar a gloop condensada sopa de pollo tin! Que no se podía comer. Llamé para dar recomendaciones. Eso es exactamente el término que utilicé. Pero no se pasó de una persona a otra 3 veces antes de ser groseramente 'recibió 'el gerente con un tono agresivo preguntando " ¿Qué hay de malo con la comida. Nunca se queja "intenté explicar pero él no dejaba hablar diciendo que estaba muy ocupado, no podía hacer nada por mí. Luego se puso el teléfono! Yo estaba tan indignado y molesto! Él es claramente no en la satisfacción del cliente. El borde que me he encontrado. No volveré.

Estos chicos son tan ajustadas como un Pequinés patos un @ @. . "Es 50 p extra a pagar con tarjeta" dijeron. Siglo pasado. cómo es eso. Nada más que £7 por 3 campos es demasiado caro.

El sábado pasado mi esposa y yo llevamos a nuestros tres nietas a el Hoh Wah en Antrim después de estar en la Farsas en Belfast. Como siempre la comida y el servicio era excelente y las chicas disfrutamos y comimos toda su comida. Buena relación calidad-precio, muy recomendable.

I went to the Ho wah with my friends as a meet up, and the service was really great. I've tried ordering takeaways from them and the food is always excellent and cheap. I would recommend the chicken curry.

I have eaten in here for years. My family always come here when having big occasions. Been in a few times with my partner and never had an issues. Staff is always very helpful and food is always excellent. Best Chinese in the town.

Went to the Ho Wah on Saturday night, 5th November, easy to remember! I went with members from a local sports club so it was a sizeable party. Our order was taken quickly & the food was brought out piping hot in no time at all. Overall the service was excellent & the food was delicious. I will definitely be visiting this establishment again - great job Ho Wah!

Went to the Ho Wah today for lunch with my sister. 3 courses for £7.25 each. We both had bbq ribs to start, honey chilli chicken with noodles and rice for main and chocolate fudge cake & icecream for dessert. The portions weren't massive but it was more than enough. Service was good and very fast.
