Went Mother’s Day. Warm welcome. Popular restaurant. Clean with nice decor. Good tasty food. Reasonable prices. Friendly service especially that day from the waiter from Albania who took time to chat and take an interest. A good experience. Been before and will go again.

Went to experience Hisar yesterday. Could not fault the food, portion a bit small for price. Service appalling, waited over 5 minutes to be handed menus, no offer of dessert/ coffees. Had to try to flag someone down to pay the bill!

Order a lamb shish via Just East and the meat was still raw in the middle, so I couldn't eat most of it. Very disappointing portion sizes for the almost £19 price tag. Tiny box of raw lamb, tiny container of rice and a tiny plastic container of salad. Poor value for money. Definitely won't be ordering here again.

I give this delightful resteraunt 10/10. I found the staff very attentative and friendly. The food was absolutely superb. On our walk home we noticed other resteraunts empty but Hisar was full, no suprise really. We will definetly return.

I left at closing time which was at 11pm this eve 05/04; I was shocked; out of no instruction or reasoning from the waiter, more than half a beer, from an effe bottle, was taken from my table. If it was due to the closing time this should have been made clear, but yet, as there were other customers still in there, who were not hurried on, I am assuming it was not for that reason. So I am rather perplexed why this was the case. Especially as I asked a member of staff where my beer was and he shrugged as if to say "tough luck mate", and informed me he couldn't help as it had been emptied. Further to this, the food had certainly gone down hill from the last time I was there, and there has been a continuation of the food going down hill in the last month or so, if i'm completely honesty. The taste of meat feels of less quality. However, It was the beer that was the most vocal point for me tonight, as I was looking forward to the rest while I was writing my thesis. If it was because of closing time this needs to be made clearer and better communication from a customer service point of view and a reevaluation on manners is needed from staff. Furthermore, potentially, as part of the training exercises; practicing lifting bottles of effe that are more than half full; to being empty, to get used to which is which may be in order. Sounds facetious i know; but I am very disappointed, and after this being my local for more than half a year now, I sadly won't be coming back again. Very disappointed in deed.

Excellent food, reasonably priced and exceptionally friendly staff. The liver starter was tasty and well presented and the lamb chops and lamb donor were excellent.

Wonderful lunch here. We arrived with my disabled aunt, and the staff were so helpful! Helped us with getting her chair in and getting her comfortable. We were made to feel so welcome, and the food was glorious. Service absolutely brilliant! The place was impeccably clean, with them cleaning the tables and chairs between parties and toilets were spotless! The only downside is it’s 100 miles from my home else id be there every week!

Lush food, good friendly service

Portions too small, I had lamb chops and rice. Two tiny chops, never seen them so small before and a tiny cupped serving of rice. Not good for the price at all, felt like I was being served a toddler’s dinner. The staff were polite and the service was good.

There are many factors that are involved when creating an exceptional culinary experience. Hisar Meze Bar in West Wickham tick every box. Quality of produce, preparation, cooking style, presentation, consistency, etc. These people know what they are doing! They are masters of Meze and food cooked over charcoal. There are many kebab restaurants out there, but this one is in a different class from the rest. It gets the highest possible recommendation from us.

We went to the West Wickham restaurant recently and were shown a very warm welcome and great care was taken with one of our party who was nervous due to being unwell and of the covid situation. we then ordered a takeaway on Sat 16th Oct while in London for delivery and it came on time and hot. It was a hot and cold Meze and a couple of mains for 5 people. The person delivering it was very polite and pleasant too!

WEST WICKHAM HIZAR YOU ARE AMAZING !!!!!! I've had three bad meals from the Beckenham branch, and had given up on Hizar...... I absolutely loved the lordship lane branch BUT West Wickham have won us over.... lucky we also live in the delivery area. the food is just outstanding, super Tasty hot, fresh and great quality meat every time. The sauces are out of this world as although its not the cheapest of takeaways, its worth every penny as you want to eat quality, not to mention it can be really healthy! Can't wait to come and dine in :)

This was a very nice experience. The shop inside is both welcoming and very well decorated. We went for the mixed grill. The food was served very hot. A fantastic selection of meat including beautiful lamb ribs. All of the meat was seasoned to perfection with great flavours. The staff were amazing on this occasion. They gave us their undivided attention talked us through the making of Turkish tea and coffee. Great price too. Also the mojito was lovely. Will definitely visit again. Thanks guys

Went for lunch. Food average, service slowish, price reasonable. Felt fairly safe, but the staff were only wearing visors, not masks (fine for them, not so good for the rest of us). There are much better options.

Every time I come to hisar or even order a takeaway the food is unreal! Takeaways are just as good as sitting in the restaurant which you can’t quite get with other restaurants. Always welcoming and always the best food. Thank you hisar!
