Manoj(sp) was awesome to meet and talk to. I hope you make it to the Colorado mountains my man!! The food was awesome and the service was on point. Will come here again!!

We loved the complimentary hot tea. Also, they kept the water flowing without us asking which was nice given the spice level of our food. It was all delicious and I will visit again.

This is probably my favorite restaurant in Cary. The people are always so nice and the food is incredible.

So gonna start this off by saying there's another Nepali restaurant in Cary with somewhat similar name and i meant to order from the other one instead of this one. With that being said i thought why not just try this place out? absolutely glad i did. I was immediately greeted at the door, offered Ginger tea, and the host was extremely polite. Food was as equally good as well, i got butter chicken, naan, and gobi manchurian. The gobi manchurian was fine, not the top of my list but still good, the chicken and naan however were incredible. Will be ordering from here again!

Great and authentic food with kind and prompt service. Some food took longer than others but that is only because it is made fresh to order, the cheap drinks and incredible flavors make it all well worth the wait! We cannot wait to return!

This is one of my favorite restaurants. I had to give 3 stars because we waited in the parking lot 30 minutes for them to open. So, we were the first ones there. 3 stars.... IS BECAUSE IT TOOK OVER AN HOUR TO GET OUR FOOD. The food and staff were great. So, if you're not in a hurry, this is a good place for a delicious meal.

Great food and service. We need to find another location for this business and all others in this complex when Cary allows it to be flattened for more ugly apartments.

If you live anywhere in what is broadly considered “the triangle,” and you haven’t eaten here, what are you doing with your life? Make the best decision you’ll have made in years and get some food from Himalayan Nepali Cuisine. Nothing is bad, everything is amazing. Take out is just as good as in-person. Staff are warm, kind, attentive, and just all around nice folks. Get the complimentary ginger lemon honey tea while you wait — but be aware that it’s near boiling.

Been here twice and loved it both times. The food is super good and they have a solid selection of vegan options. Wait times can be pretty high sometimes so it might not be a bad idea to send out a scouting party in advance and put your name on the waiting list.

This place never fails to be one of the very best restaurant experiences I have had. I’ve been here many times and have made great memories with my family here. The food is some of the best in the triangle and the service is equally outstanding. 10/10!!

Unexpected 75 minute wait after ordering. The chicken saag was alright, Naan was pretty good. But looking over the other reviews it seems "made to order" means settle in and get comfortable. Be prepared.

Fantastic food, fantastic service! The taste was amazing, they let us choose our spice level, and the server was super nice and helpful! Atmosphere was fine but I was honestly more focused on the delicious food too much to notice. Go here!

The absolute best food ever, you have to come here! The dumplings, tandoori chicken, steamed momo, samosas, chicken biryani, everything is amazing! We make the hour drive here at least once a month because the food is so good. Service is very nice as well.

So many good choices in Cary / Morrisville for eastern cuisine but this place’s food is exceptional. Might be the best lamb vindaloo I’ve ever had and my wife said the same about her tikka masala. Great food, very reasonable prices and very friendly staff. All round winner, we’ll be back regularly!

The cold weather calls for some food from this restaurant. A big selling point is their complimentary hot welcome tea made of ginger, lemon and honey I believe. And crispy papad with pickled onions. They have a good offering of momos with some amazing chutneys. The selection of spice level offering is a cherry on the top. Do try their momos and chow mein at the restaurant. The zen like atmosphere adds to your dining experience. The only down side is the amount of oil in some of their dishes which I think is excessive and more than normal.

The tea is delicious! I eat plant-based and love the healthy options. The service is always spectacular. Friendly atmosphere and yummy…excellent!

One of the best tasting Indian and Nepali cuisine. Momo’s (Veg, Chicken), Fried Rice (Veg, Chicken) and all Chicken curry dishes are amazing. To top it off the Peshawari Naan is the best for dessert. Always prompt ontime and friendly service for takeout.

The food was delicious and made fantastically. I had the cauliflower, chicken kadai, spice level of 3, with rice pudding. While there was a wait, its only because the food was divine.

Food was good. Service could be a little better. Manager/owner seems to have a problem with us. His demeanor was passive aggressive. However he didn’t have same attitude towards fair skinned people.

Exceptional cuisine at a modest price, situated in a convenient locale. Should you seek vegetarian alternatives, a plethora awaits. Our choice was the highly recommended vegetarian chow chow soup—ideal for chilly evenings when the weather calls for such fare. Additionally, we indulged in butter naan, paneer tikka masala (reminiscent of paneer butter masala found in nearby establishments), and impeccably prepared and delectable chili paneer.

Great food, really amazing. Get the Cauliflower 365 and the Lamb Korma. Just don’t dine in here unless you have 2 hrs to spare bc service is slow, slower than an old man easing into a hot bath

Stopped by Himalayan Nepali Cuisine while visiting my cousin. I must say the steamed chicken momo was delicious (I don’t say this lightly as a Nepali person who’s had her fair share of momo back home and here in the States). I do wish the tomato aachar was bit spicy. We also tried chilli momo, which was okay but we really enjoyed the chicken chow mein. Also, really enjoyed the complementary honey ginger lemon tea. They were super busy when we went but the servers were really friendly and good came as on time. Definitely a must visit if you are in the Raleigh area.

I can't stop going here. Great food, super kind service, reasonable prices. The wait can be pretty long on certain days and times, but the food is always worth it.

Great “home-in-the-wall” place for a Himalayan/Nepali fix. Menu has the standards you’d expect and done well. Each dish is made to order so while it may take a bit to get your food it provides the ability to customize heat etc and guarantee a fresh dish vs coming from some pre made vat like many other places. The complimentary pappadum and ginger lemon tea are a nice touch. Steamed chicken momos are the bomb. The Saags and curries are delish with great flavor along with the spice/heat. Service is very attentive and accommodating. Very clean casual atmosphere. Certainly worth a try!

Second time there. Both times we had great service and amazing food. Himalayan Chicken with chicken Momo's were amazing!! Definitely going back.

Nothing negative to say. Staff was amazing, food was amazing, the tea was amazing, just an all around great experience. The only comment I have is just advice: there are a limited number of tables and spots fill up quickly around the time they open in the evening so be prepared for that, there were a few people surprised by this while we were waiting and their attitudes weren't stellar. Good to keep in mind if you're waiting on someone as well, get their ETA and when logical, go ahead and put your name down on the list so you're not waiting for them then also waiting for a table - there is a notepad by the door when you walk in that they use to make sure people are served in order.

We really enjoy every visit to this restaurant. Since they prepare the food from scratch it takes awhile, but the complementary hot tea and nice conversation at the table made time pass really fast. Food is really tasty.

We went on a Friday evening and there was a long wait. Once you’re seated, they immediately serve you pappad and ginger tea, which was really nice. It takes a long time for the food to come since they make everything to order. We had the Chicken Tandoori, Garlic Naan, Lamb Vindaloo and Mango Lassi. The chicken and lamb were very tasty,you could taste the spices. The naan and lassi was a disappointment though. The naan didn’t taste fresh and the lassi tasted diluted.

My husband and I come here every other week for dinner. It’s always delicious! I typically get the lamb vindaloo (pictured) and get it at a level 7 (spiciest) spicy. It’s so good and makes your nose drip while also still being so flavorful! I also always look forward to the complimentary lemon ginger tea.

My husband & I drove 2 hours and didn’t know which Indian Restaurant to eat because there’s so many in Cary, but Himalayan Restaurant was one of the few opened at 11am. We stop for lunch and was surprised by how delicious the food were. Everything is made fresh from the kitchen like it says. We love how thick and savory the curries are & crispy the garlic naan's was. The service was slow to serve & take our orders, but it’s worth the wait. Tables fill up quick and busy, but they do the very best they can. Personally one of our favorites spot to eat now.

When first walking in to this place, I noticed it was very clean and organized. The staff was very welcoming and polite. The food is AMAZING! The vegetable pakora is battered beautifully and light, in very large pieces. The Govi Manchurian was perfect with a great sauce and garnish. I had the Govi Manchurian spice level 5 of 7. I would have ranked it a 2.5 of 7, but I am used to a lot of spice in my food, however, it was still so delicious. I also got the Chicken Tandoori, also spice level 5. The chicken was cooked perfectly, super tender and with some rice was a great dish. The vegetable Momos were very delicious as well, served with a mild and spicy sauce. If I could try a different dish every day here I would. Highly recommend!

Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious …Samosas , chicken dumpling momo , sag paneer , samosa chaat and butter chicken !! We will be eating there again , sooner than later . Had plenty of left overs as well .

This is a great little place in a non-descript strip mall. Service was exceptional as well as the food. I would return in a heart beat. Waiter offered suggestions and both were excellent. I also like the fact they give you ginger tea.

I order take out from here regularly. I love your chicken korma, it is my go to. Unfortunately, the ones I bought last night tasted mild instead of the medium heat I ordered which was less flavorful and did not hold up to their normal taste/standards

1st time here and we had a great experience. The staff was attentive and the food was amazing. Tried the momo and our family has a new favorite place to get them. Loved the samosas too! The main dishes were very tasty too. So tasty we forgot to take pictures. Had a storm outside and lost power just as we finished up dinner. The staff was courteous and kept a clam atmosphere. We will be back!

The food is a must. Starts off with the best complimentary papadum(cracker bread) I’ve had. The momos were tasty but the butter chicken was simply fantastic. So rich and filled with flavor. Also had the chicken kadai that I haven’t been able to find in a lot of other places. Will order it again! Right now I’m planning on when I’ll come back for the biryani or tikka masala. It doesn’t matter what you order here, you’ll love it.

This place was AMAZING!!! I got the chili fried momo, which was so flavorful. My girlfriend loved her chicken biryani. Food is reasonably priced and I have never had a waiter who was so attentive—as soon as my water glass was half empty, he was back with more. We’ll be back!

Staff were very welcoming and the food was delicious. There is a warning on the menu that the food may take awhile because it is made fresh and to order. We appreciated the warning as it did take some time to receive our food, but we received complimentary papadam and ginger tea while we waited. As soon as we received our appetizer (chicken momo), the entrées (tandoori platter and chicken vindaloo) and garlic naan arrived quickly thereafter. Our water glasses stayed full and we were checked on frequently enough to feel attended too, but not so much that we felt bothered. Overall had a great experience and felt that the food was a great value. We'll be back.

Amazing food and customer service.

Every dinner made to order. They say this up front, while it may make dinner a little longer, it is 100% worth it. Service was great. Treat you like your a regular even if it’s your first time. All the food was superb.

The fried cauliflower was perfect. Tandoori mixed plate a good deal. I appreciate being able to adjust the spiciness of each dish. Dinners are served with a delicious tea. I'll definitely be coming back.

Cozy and delicious, the Chicken Momo is amazing. Takes time for it to be done, so order it first thing. They've just opened their dining room back up post-covvid (April 2022), so those who know about this gem are super excited.

We had been takeout customers during COVID. Now we can dine in again. Dinner felt like we were invited into our friends' home. The food is always delicious and impeccably cooked. You have to wait a few minutes to have properly cooked chicken, for example. The staff obviously puts their heart and love I to taking care of their guests. I appreciate their dedication!

We enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere of this place. The lentil chips and lemon ginger tea served at the beginning were such a nice touch, and the lamb curry was authentic and rich with flavor. The servers were also attentive and personable.

We went and had the best meal today and inside! They recently opened the dine in option again and WOW... We had the Saag Paneer and hot chicken soup with garlic naan. The service was on point and the food is so delicious inhouse. With that said it travels well if you decide to take out. The food is beyond good with quality ingredients and passion in the cooking.

We just love this cute place, impeccable service and delicious Nepali Cuisine! My husband had the goat curry, I had the black lentils with naan - huge portions I couldn’t finish and will eat it for lunch tmrrw- very reasonable prices oh and did I mention the awesome service, beautiful staff so professional, so glad they survived covid lockdowns. This will be our go to place anytime we are in town! The world is such a harsh place and the little things are taken for granted. A review can break a place forever if you can’t say something nice rather consider not saying anything. I saw one review took off 2 stars for waiting, but as soon as you’re seated they hand you a menu that says each meal is prepared fresh and each meal is prepared individually. and they apologize before you order for the wait. You certainly have the option to leave then, Therefore that person could have left but chose to stay. I don’t know how the owner can afford to run his establishment with the affordable pricing. It’s a difficult task to provide excellent service, fresh food at an affordable price, especially with inflation. Please consider all ones words and stars left in a review and the impact it would have. Exploring different food options is my hobby. Got a chance to explore this Nepali style restaurant, found below average taste and quality as compared to similar restaurants. Tondoor roti became Papad with no time after serve. Not a place who like tender goat curry . Chew meat. however staff found welcoming.

The best! Always consistent and delicious! The customer service is great and everyone is extremely friendly! Our go-to spot!

Ordered tandoori chicken, govi mancurian and paneer Tika miasala for take out. The Govi was missing, but the restaurant drive it the 12 minutes to our house! Everything was so delicious. Highly recommend.

The food was good! I got the govi manchurian and veggie chow chow were great. The complimentary tea was amazing and some of the best I've ever had. The hour and a half wait for my food was awful though. There were at least a half dozen other people waiting for their orders as well, some of whom had to wait an hour after the pickup time they were told.

Got delivery from them multiple times. The delivery is a bit slow, but the wait is so worth it. Their food is really delicious; and very flavorful given the use of whole spices like ginger and mustard seeds. I noticed their food is low in salt as well. Feels very homely overall, and perfect food for cold days! Highly recommend.

Called number of times, was put on hold and was never returned to. It weird as they have no eat-in option. The staff sounded overworked and under paid, though I sympathize with them in these hard times. But if one is calling to give you business a more courteous behavior usually helps. I hope this is a one off. Will recommend other nepali restaurants where staff is more willing to spend time with customer.
