Daniel is a star employee. He truly is the heart and soul of this restaurant. He was so happy and cheerful to serve customers. He made this trip thoroughly enjoyable

Have always gone to this chippy , but after tonight's order (Saturday night) not sure I will be going back, ordered chicken had to wait for it which is ok ( it would be fresh) but honestly it was as tough and dry, also orderd white pudding which was that dry couldn't be eaten either. Out of our total order king rib and the chips were the only thing that could be eaten. So disappointed, as this chippy has always been good value.

Runs like clock work. Great food and service, all young people, however very professional. Not cheap, but same price as any of the other places I have been to.

Had Fish supper, fish was good, chips could have been cooked slightly more for my liking so be sure to ask if you like crispier chips.

Never used to enjoy a chippie tea as could never find a decent chip shop in Inverness. Would now definitely recommend Hilton Chip Shop however. Half portions are available which is great. I ordered half portion of fish and chips, everything was hot, fresh and full of flavour. Love the chip shop sauce too. Staff very friendly also.

Best curry sauce ever. Fish and chips were good too. We called ahead on a Saturday night and it was ready in 15 minutes. Staff were friendly and organized.

Wow, honestly one of the best chippys in Inverness. Resonably priced and offer more dishes than almost all other chippys. Would definitely recommend if you've never been or indeed if you used to be a fan of them back in the day then maybe felt there food went downhill for awhile, I was in the same boat! After recently trying it again though, just wow. Will definitely be my regular chippy from now on. Recently tried there homemade Mac & Cheese, absolutely lovely

Fish supper very disappointing. Fish already sitting cooked in warmer. Took it home, dry overcooked and mainly batter. For over £9 a supper expected better.

We were desperate to find a good chippy as there doesn't seem to be many around Inverness? This is the first one we have tried and the food was pretty good! The Haddock was lovely.

Well what can say ordered a chicken super , chilli dog super a white pudding and portion curry sauce - no chilli so cancelled chilli dog super and make a white pudding supper. Tried to give 10 p back as that a difference so what tried to say a white pudding supper , chicken supper and portion curry sauce was only 10p cheaper !!!! Landed up cancelling whole order - as they really have no clue and won’t be back

Another rotten review brown soggy chips Rolls with a disgusting amount of butter on it if they cant even get a buttered roll and chips right id hate to try anything else ROTTEN 😡😡😡

Not a great experience, paid almost £9 for a fish supper and it really wasn't great The batter on the fish was soggy as were the chips, and I was left with a strange taste and texture in my mouth after eating it. If you are going to charge these kind of prices then the quality needs to be seriously improved to match.

Having worked in a chippy I understand the business and would say that this place is very well run and the waiting at a minimum. The cooked food is very good but the quality of the chips was not. They seem to have been lying for a while and coldish and mushy. Get the chips right and a very good experience.

Price increased and portion size decreased. £9.30 for a fish supper. Had been under the lamp for too long so didn’t stay fresh. Measly portion of chips. Kids behind the counter more interested in having a laugh. I don’t grudge the kids working but boys will be boys. There needs to be an adult around. Used to be so good as well. A real disappointment.

Visited the shop on Saturday evening ( a very busy shop at that) waited 35 mins for my order, another customer had waited 45 mins. The staff on Saturday night couldn't cope with the volume of orders and people in the shop, couldn't keep track of orders, weren't cooking enough to keep up with demand to the point the queue was out the door and all the staff could do, especially the boy on the fryer was laugh at how busy it was. Appreciate that I got a part refund on the order but was made to pay for that when I got home and seen the size of portions that was served up. A normally very good chip shop but will take a lot for me to visit again after Saturdays experience. Picture of the Sausage supper, a scoop of chips at best and 2 rubber like battered sausages.

Very good service and excellent crisp fish

We have used this chippy for the last 15 years and always looked forward to our fish suppers as a real treat, with generous portions of tasty chips and delicious fresh haddock. Unfortunately our last two experiences this month where the fish has been pollock or something similar (grey, spongy, tasteless) means we will not be back. I know fish is getting more and more expensive, but personally we would rather pay a bit more to get fresh haddock, or maybe hake as an alternative. We've recommended this chippy to very many people over the years, but sadly no longer.

Just tried to eat a smoked sausage supper and trying to get through batter was an experience. Have never had a batter that tough or chewy in my life- considering was 17:30 am wondering how long it really had sat in there- waste of money

Not very happy with the food chips where not cooked very well the burger and the bin was rock hard also the have different price on there till than they do on there website. Thanks for your reply I did not mean to offend your shop in anyway I was just leaving a honest review on the food I received I’m not to sure what you mean by that I was only asking if you make your stuff fresh and in store to be told that you buy it in so when you Serve Frozen food this is the sort of review you will receive a honest review sometime it’s difficult to hear the truth

Onion rings were about 5 inches thick and the batter was soggy! Coleslaw was basically a bowl of mayonnaise with a few carrots thrown in. I live not far but will be travelling to get another. Its ashame this chippy has gone down hill

Always look forward to a chippie but so often disappointed. Not this time!! Long queue outside which I took as a good sign. Had to wait for about 30 minutes but it was absolutely worth the wait. Fish and chips fresh and hot. White pudding, very tasty. Young staff who were friendly and polite. Would definitely recommend.

This was my first visit to Hilton Chip Shop. Whilst driving through Inverness in my smoke free, pet free, mint condition 150,000 miles 2006 Lexus IS (message me for more details) I decided that I was hungry for some fish and chips. After a quick Googling, I deduced that in Inverness, Hilton Chip Shop was the plaice to be, if you pardon the pun. After a short wait I was delighted to receive my box of fish and chips and retire to my most comfortable 2006 Lexus’s cream interior for my evening meal. The fish was unfortunately, incredibly disappointing - a feeling I have never felt in my 2006 Lexus IS with full service history. The fish was over battered, the chips undercooked. However, even the most rotten of meals can be enjoyed in the relative luxury that is the 2006 Lexus IS. Too hot outside? Turn on your cooled seat. Feeling tired? Rest your weary head on the palatial head rest cushions. This is truly not one to be missed and I am confident that the first to see will buy. If you are interested in good fish, don’t go to Hilton Chip Shop. If you are interested in motoring pleasure then please feel free to message me. No low ball offers, no part exchange. Was a total joke food was all overcooked overpriced cheep products and the guys behind the counter haven't got a clue what's going on how the hell it's got 4 and a half stars I'll never know avoid at all costs !!!

20 minute wait for a black pudding supper and there was only a few customers in on a quiet Tuesday night verry disappointing and the pudding was over cooked . And it’s usually verry tasty out of here Aswell . Nobody seemed to have a clue what they were doing tbh

Very average and not the best by a long chalk, the fish was dry and the batter was greasy plus it is grossly overpriced.

Very bad experience. Paid nearly £7.00 and got a baby meal. Totaly being cheated. Come to birmingham, we give you 3 times more for this price. Ordered for something and got a bony chicken. I will never recommend this and will mevee go agaon even 9f I have to starve .

I bought chicken and chips today. Paid £ 6.85 . When brought home and looked at it, I was totally cheated. A small ball of chips and a piece of chicken. Ordered some thing and given something. The chips was not enough for a small child even. I felt very angry and never got to this shop again. I felt that I made biggest mistake in going to this shop 😩😕😫

Not been to this place is 20+ years and even though its not ran buy Mike anymore its still the same great chippy I remember from growing up, I will be using them again when ever I'm in Inverness

We were recommended this fish&chips shop by a friend who originally stayed in this area and we weren't disappointed! First time we had f/chip supper each, wow, we soon learnt a lesson. The meal was delicious but too much to eat. Next time we had a small or (half) supper for about £9 for the two and still plenty chips! You can pre order over the phone but I don't know how reliable this is. Shop at times can be busy but they have a ticket system which does work well and they have a very extensive menu (the one thing they don't make is fritters but that's a personal like of ours). 10 out of 10 for us!

Food was lovely, would go back 👌 Due to covid/social distancing there was a bit of a kerfuffle queueing/waiting whilst food was prepared.

It's shame I was so disappointed, usually when I come back to Inverness (my hometown) I visit the chippy but it was quite a shock on Tuesday 3rd May to find my fish so over cooked and dry and the red sausage supper was put in the bin!! The service was a pain!! having 5 lads behind the counter getting in each others way. Hopefully next time will be better,

Went to the chip shop on Saturday 10/10 and none of the staff was wearing gloves. One member of staff in front of everyone was putting his hand under the t-shirt and scratching his back and without washing his hands went back to serving food. Disgusting

Worst place I have ever been to. Firstly, no queue whatsoever and 4 staff members behind the counter, all chatting to each other about what they are going to do tonight, so ok I waited until served. Took about 5 minutes for staff to call me forward. Ordered fish & chips. Cashier not making any effort and no customer service skills at all. Never mind that. Having eaten what I ordered immidiately I knew it doesn't seem fresh. The oil they fry either chips or fish in must have been few days old as I had WORST EVER food poisoning, and impossible it was from anything else that day, as I eat healthily. This was a one off I fancied a cheat meal and surely it was cheated. Don't recommend to anyone, and I am not the person to leave reviews normally but thought this place deserves to be rated accordingly to the service and food it provides.

Probably the best pizzas in Inverness,I just got a 12inch pepperoni and it was amazing the macaroni isn’t bad ether.

It was terrible, they didn't bother cooking from fresh despite being quite, instead just serving luke warm soggy greasy fish that was under a hot lamp where there was lots of food going soggy under the hot lamp. Was disappointing as had been recommended by friends, my girl friend pizza was awful and made her ill. We won't be back, such a shame has so much potential.

Pastel de carne y papas fritas es mi ir a scran, obtener mariposas ante la idea de comerlo. El personal allí es encantador y de gran ayuda, especialmente la marca del gerente, si pudiera hacer que lo sirvieran junto con mi pastel de carne y papas fritas, ¡sería ideal!

Fresco, sabroso, de gran valor. Todos en Inverness saben que este gaff sirve la mejor comida picadora del norte. Mención especial a las picaduras de macarrones, el mejor plato de acompañamiento que he tenido de todos mis viajes a través de las grandes montañas y los mares agitados. Una segunda mención especial para el gerente Mark, excelente servicio y siempre tiene esa sonrisa descarada.

Good chippy, average prices for the area. Quick service, well organised as it's often busy. Has a bunch of young people always working there so it's a combination conveyor belt service whilst giving these youngsters the chance to earn some cash. The food itself is varied catering for the popular dishes and it's clean and tidy. Of note there's also parking 😉

Awful! Not sure if we picked a bad night (Friday), but no excuse for poor quality, and bad cooking.... 4 fish suppers came to over £30 - haddock was thin, and not great, but the worst thing was the batter! It was like a thick ‘skin’ - soft and chewy...absolutely horrible - we all had to scrape it off. Chips weren’t great either. I’ll make the journey over to the other side of town next time I fancy fish and chips. NOT RECOMMENDED
