Hill Top Tap in Bexley

I have been barred from this location for over five years with no recompense or reevaluation. I dated a bar girl here and, as so many relationships do, unfortunately things ended between us. On the night of said break up we had a heated discussion outside of the vicinity by many miles however I have been barred ever since. With such a significant time period since this incident I feel it is inappropriate and quite frankly poor business management to continue a vendetta against a half of a slighted couple. Mainly by any who was her best friend and still a manager here that many years later. I also find it unnecessary that members of the senior management team have been noted discussing this historic event with patrons - much to my embarrassment.including a family member who is a newly employed member of staff who will no doubt be fed a story of lies to justify their actions I find it ridiculous that a personal involvement from, from what I can gather, a single staff member has drastically impacted my life and, considering the length of time since this issue, remains a reminder from this difficult time. I am disheartened, disgruntled and frankly disgusting that such a pathetic display of poor management has been allowed to continue for so long, with no regard to those involved.

Arranged to meet friend to watch the England match. Upon arrival we were told we weren’t allowed in as they were waiting on a large booking that was due. This was despite friends already being sat at a table with spare seats for the rest of us. Left and found another pub where our custom was more welcome. Won’t bother darkening this door again.

Been a while since I was last here. All good apart from a barking dog.

Very disappointing that there is no Guinness for St Patrick Weekend and its 4:50pm on a Sunday. Feels like false advertisement to me.

Sonny was brilliant, fast service and listened to me and my mates song choices.

needed somewhere to watch the Liverpool match and this was perfect...loads of screens and plenty of space .

Popped in on my lunch break with a group of 4 mates to play some pool. My friends all ordered some beers, but I didn’t order one and just put money in the pool table as I was going back to work soon. Manager singles me out and storms over, demanding that I leave immediately if I don’t order a drink for myself - even though the rest of my group had just spent a pretty penny on drinks and the pool table. It was in the middle of a working day too so the place was empty! Not likely to return anytime soon.

Current staff very rude. I popped in around lunchtime the other week with a friend after a trip to the gym to have a quick drink and didn’t have my ID on me, however I didn’t think this would be an issue as I am 38 and don’t look under 25 and have drunk in the pub for 20 odd years. The barman asked for my ID which obviously surprised me and I explained politely that I didn’t have any on me but that I am actually 38. He then spoke to me extremely rudely saying “good for you!” and walked off. I assume if he did think I was under age (which is ridiculous) then he is obviously one of those that thinks it’s acceptable to speak to young people rudely. If he’d been polite and said really sorry if we’re not sure we have to say no then fine but he was just rude for no reason and that’s not a way to keep customers. He looked old enough to be the manager so it’s quite worrying if he is running the show. I do hope not. Can’t say I’ll be going back in there any time soon. Oh and I popped to the bar across the road afterwards and they served me with no issue :)

The staff here are so rude every time I come. I got yelled at for ordering a drink on the app because apparently the table 'doesn't exist'. What was the number on the table I was sat at then? How am I meant to know the table is closed on Fridays? Why were they delivering drinks to every single table around me? I was also here with work and just standing at the bar, when one of the workers comes out from behind the bar and yelled at us to 'MOVEEEE!!!!'??? Excuse me? They also have an extremely loud DJ on Fridays who played a remix of Amarillo. The lights are overboard too. Other than that the drinks and food are quite nice, and some of the staff are nice. Majority are very rude and grumpy.

It’s a decent pub and great for watching football. Clean enough can’t moan. But the staff serve you with complete and utter contempt every time. Like they are too aggravated by your presence to even look at you. Weird cos most of them have worked there for years , there must be no guidance from management. Not hard to say thanks or give a glimmer of a smile . If it weren’t for the tvs for football I would never give it my custom.

These guys truly know how to craft magic in a glass - the cocktails were next level! Still dreaming about 'The Geisha' and 'The Amethyst' - those flavours were an explosion of deliciousness in every sip. Not to mention their customer service - I felt so looked after, it made our night perfect! I'll definitely be back for more good times! xx

Decent pub and good selection of beers. Karaoke on a Friday can be a mare sometimes but also funny...

I came to watch the rugby tonight, i turned up hungry with friends whom-had already eaten. I went to pizza express and got a takeout. I was eating in the pub. My ignorance took over and i was rude to the staff member. Naturally i regret my behaviour and did apologise on many occasions. Unfortunately the manager would not accept my apology, i was escorted to a the exit doors. I was sober and selfish. I do understand, the staff work so bloody hard. Please accept my apologies thereafter. Tony

Highly recommend for bottomless brunch / dinner. Food was lovely, staff were brilliant, lots of choice for drinks and never had wait. A great night and so much better than many other bottomless brunch / dinners I have done. Thank you!

Had a great night with friends. We had the bottomless drinks package with dinner. It was such good value and we were well looked after. Especially by Alana our waitress. The atmosphere was great and karaoke was so much fun.

Just finished a bottomless brunch with a friend and it was such a great experience, definitely one of the best bottomless brunches I’ve been to. Amy was our server and she couldn’t have done more for us, she was super friendly and I’ve never had anyone more on it with drinks for a brunch, could not recommend more will definitely be back again!

Disagree with the below review regarding “women’s needs”. My friends and I were out got my hen do and were followed to this place by two men that wouldn’t leave us alone. When I told the lady behind the bar, they kept an eye on them at all times and handled the situation brilliantly. The drinks were great, staff super friendly and we are going back again today with my family and daughter. Highly recommended.

Went for a bottomless brunch today at sidcup hill top tap and it was amazing. Our service from Amy was everything and more…what a fantastic member of staff! Great value - the cocktails & food were great. Very impressed and will definitely be returning.

Visited the pub yesterday on my own, as needed a break from working from home, was lovely visit, made so welcome, bar staff Louise and Amy made me feel at ease as a lone woman. Will definitely go back!

The worst pub within a 5 mile radius. Awful customer service and a terrible acknowledgement for anything remotely human. Kicked my friends out for simply being on their period. Absolute lack of recognition for women’s needs.

Really nice pub, friendly staff. Had the Share platter a couple of times and a mix of the small plates, the food was really nice, and a high standard, better than most pubs I’ve been too. The staff are really helpful and friendly and we’re really accommodating. They’ve got a pool table and darts which is rare nowadays even for sports pubs. Good choice of sport on show with lots screens easily visible. Went to watch the 6 nations and had a great time, was worth getting the bus past my local.

Table booked for 6.30 for last Thursday evening specifically to have a family meal and we arrived on time, venue being around a quarter full. Shown to our table and bought 3 grossly over priced drinks to have while we decided on our menu choices and then went to the bar to order. We were then informed that there was a 90 minute wait for food. Off we went to Pizza Express next door instead. We booked a table at the Indian restaurant across the road but spent a few hours in here prior to our meal, there was a good buzz and vibe about the pub and was all very friendly, i stay nowhere near Sidcup but will steer anyone i meet towards this great boozer.

Very welcoming pub ,staff are amazing My son Stephen is blind and is always accompanied by his guide dog and me his mum.As soon as we walk in the pub within. A minute there is always a bowl of water for Wills the guide dog....

We had a spare evening, one of those nothing to do evenings, so we thought we'd visit the Hill Top Tap. Matt and Craig were great hosts, Craig advising on my G&T while Matt was able to tell us which drinks were low or non-alcohol....

The roast dinners where amazing would come again.

I'm a bit old for places like this but I liked it. A couple of drinks here before a restaurant meal across the road to celebrate a birthday. A little on the pricey side but atmosphere doesn't come cheap. Prompt bar service and friendly door staff. Music (that I liked!) and IPA in the drinks range even if it was only one. Pool table. If I was closer, I might use it a little more often.

I wouldn't have gone in there as I don't like sports bars much and i dont like to be surrounded by televisions but we couldn't find anything else that was open at 9pm on a Monday night.to be fair we disnt look that hard and it was a spontaneous trip to the boozer so the 'Hill top tap' it was. The pub itself was alright, only one draught beer on but plenty of other beers to choose from, lots of cider and perry and they were still doing food up to 10pm. I didnt eat, i just had a Doombar, boring but tasted well looked after and at a good temperature. Staff were nice, it was busy and the round was cheap. Its a thumbs up from me

Staff were annoying, popping bubble wrap obnoxiously while the football was on, which didn't have any sound by the way. Food was actually ok but a bit overpriced. Only ended up here as nowhere else was showing the game so thats to their credit

Great evening, Monday night is rock and roll bingo with Ricky, great laugh Emily was really lovely and cheerful even though she was quite busy Matt is the new guy, he's always busy and he's so cheerful Dan and Kirsty are just great All in all a really lovely team

If I could give this a minus I would - I was refused service at this establishment for no reason - such a shame as I like to support local business but in future will visit the micro pubs instead very rude manager avoid at all costs - DO NOT ENTER - at your peril - support small micro pubs instead

What an amazing pub visited recently food was great, there was a good range of drinks I opted for a vodka and lemonade which tasted lovely, highly recommend a visit

Excellent service, great value and tasty cocktails, Dan,Craig and Ricky all served us in a friendly and timely manner. Could not fault it one bit, Kirsty does the most amazing fish and chips. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

Ricky, Paul, Amy, Kirsty and Dan are amazing. Always so attentive and kind. They look after everyone and always go above and beyond for the customers. They are the best team and the pub wouldn’t be the way it is without them.

The atmosphere of the pub was truly amazing. I loved the food and drinks even though the place was really busy during the lunch time. Despite this the staff did their best and served everything in a very short amount of time. I’ll definitely visit again, I highly recommend.

Absolutely fantastic in my opinion, fine balance between pub and restraunt. Really nice, was looking for a roast, wanted decent pub grub and the staff down here really sorted me out, not too much not too little. Lovely place to go for a drink good range of events at the pub a few pool tables and relatively good price for drinks. Aesthetically a nice place to sit and music keeps the casual atmosphere. Staff were friendly and service was relatively quick.

The hill top tap is the best pub in Sidcup easily Fun friendly staff who look after there quest. Great food great choice of drinks. The team work the staff put in is exquisite. I had an amazing time and it really is the only pub in Sidcup worth attending

Friendly bar staff, and nicely decorated. Been a couple of times and unfortunately whatever I pick seems to always be off. They have multiple screens for sport and a pool table. Plus knocked down pints on a Monday is a plus.
