Externally happy with fast delivery, amazing taste of Thai food and very friendly delivery staff. We love Thai food from Highlander . Definitely order again 🙂

Waited over 1.5 hours for delivery, delivery £5 !!! when phoned to ask where it was, just get told she's just left, take it up with her. Awful customer service. Won't order again !

The order arrived 55 minutes after the original latest delivery time and 20 minutes after the delayed delivery time. They do not answer the phone when you attempt to contact them. The Pad Thai looked pre digested, possibly pre made & frozen. The chicken wings were a portion of four tiny wings, nothing was fresh! Very over priced for the content. I won’t order again even though my previous order a month ago was exceptional, you can check my previous review. I recommend Thai Coconut going forward.

Super tasty meals, very fresh ingredients, well cooked. Fast delivery. I cannot fault the service or the quality of the food. Will definitely be ordering again soon.

Absolutely stunning food, piping hot and so tasty. Second time ordering from here I had never tried Thai food before that but after a recommendation from a friend I don't think I would ever go back to eating an Indian

Truly awful, the food quality was terrible (I will probably still be chewing on the beef next year) and the servings for the incredible cost were just a rip-off. The packaging of the expensive, cold food was a laugh. Never again.

What a superb meal will defo be ordering again… everything I asked for I got. There was one thing that could have made it even better and that was there was not a lot of sauce in both curries.

Ordered. Chased once it was 20 minutes late and told it was going to be 10 minutes. 2 hours later it hadn’t arrived and they stopped answering the phone. Second time we’ve had issues after giving them a second chance. Don’t risk it!

Very tasty fresh food, more reasonably priced than other Thai restaurants. Speedy service. Unfortunately they don't deliver to Crynant however.

By far the worst thai restaurent I have ever experienced. Love Thai cuisine....I am astronomically baffled as to how they can get it so wrong, the chicken 100% was not chicken...edging towards fish, but potentially worse...literally inedible...highly recommended going anywhere but there for Thai food.

I’ve never had bad Thai food until today food was greasy and all my dishes tasted the same with a strong taste of vinegar. Delivery took over two hours. Such a shame.

Amazing food , so tasty, cooked to perfection. Staff super friendly. Decor needs updating, old fashioned pub style but we didn't mind in the least as long as the food is great, and it was out of this world excellent.

Top staff, top service. Maybe too 'old-fashioned' for some but if you want a more modern experience go elsewhere, however if you want a cosy and friendly environment then this is the place. 👍

Very poor delivery service. Tried for the last 2 evenings to order a delivery. System says order being processed then get a message saying it cancelled. Won't bother trying a third time.

Absolutely disgusting, ment to have jasmine rice and had Basmati rice also had cabbage in the rice also had ribs that had no taste what so ever couldnt tell what meat it is either. I just found out the Thai Woman have gone and no longer working here and they have opened up in Skewen hence why the food was so bad!! Wish I found that out before ordering, aw well you live and learn!!

Ordered a takeaway from The Highlander Thai on Saturday night , we hadn’t had one for quite some time and were really impressed by the selection on the menu . I ordered tempura vegetables and they were really soggy , the vegetables were mainly mushrooms and baby sweet corn , my main meal was spicy chicken noodles which were really bland , I couldn’t taste any of the fragrant spices that Thai food is suppose to have, it was just overloaded with chillis . My husband had ribs to start and he couldn’t tell what meat they were and the coconut rice he had with his main was just thick and stodgy . Very disappointing, we won’t be ordering from there again.

This is my favourite Thai Takeaway in the Neath Port Talbot and Swansea area. In fact I would say the Tom Yum Soup is up there with the best I have had. Also love the chicken chilli and basil dish. I really cannot fault the taste or quality of the food.

Terrible place especially the restaurant with visible grease on the food. The pub is not fully hygienic as the tables are always sticky when I go for a drink and then most of the time the drinks taste gone off

Great food, hard to find having ordered online for collection! Entry is via a pretty rowdy "local" pub and is a bit off-putting.

Best Thai food for 100 miles- phone ahead for sit down or take away to avoid a long wait

Ordered takeout last night from Highlander Thai, the food took over an hour to be cooked, then we were told there was no driver on so could we come to collect it. Once we got home we realised we were 2 dishes short, contacted the restaurant to resolve the issue but the girl on the phone became irate and claimed we never ordered it to begin with. Told us we should have 17 trays, we had 15. Not believing us she then wanted to come to our house to see the food, which baffled us! Then told us they’d cooked the extra dishes even though they said we’d never ordered them (work that one out) - going back to collect the missing dishes we were then asked to pay for them AGAIN, called them out on the calculation of the bill, we had already paid for them. Again they accused us of lying, and then calculated the bill again and what a surprise - that fell short of the £70 we had paid and therefor proved that we had paid for food they hadn’t delivered, but added on £7 for no reason? Unwilling to give us the food without paying a second time, we decided to leave. The treatment we received from the counter staff was diabolical. I had to ask her not to shout at me & talk over me. As for the food that was given, one portion of chips was burnt, the other undercooked, the ribs were foul, the other food bland and all of us had upset stomachs after it. I would never ever go here again. Over priced, tasteless food, with argumentative, rude and incompetent staff. APPALLING! Left comments on their Instagram page about this shortly after, which were subsequently ignored.

Fantastic food in restaurant and public house is a really popular place nice bar staff and lovely people that frequent the establishment great entertainment and good prices. X

Rubbery fish cakes, poor quality meat in the ribs, chewy soggy batter on the prawns, green curry was mediocre at best and the duck had horrible soggy skin on, didn't get free prawn crackers although I spent £30 and rice did not come with the curry unlike other restaurants in the area. Very over priced for what it is, I left over half my food and im not a fussy eater at all! I've had much better thai for far cheaper in the local area. Oh and only a 2 star hygiene rating, save your money and eat else where.

Absolutely a wonderful culinary revisit to my favourite restaurants on the planet. This is real Thai food right on your doorstep. The Thai chef brings authentic Thai flavours that many UK resturants seem to shy away from in favour of adjusting their food to the English palette. I asked for it to be spicy like it is in Thailand and that's exactly what I got. The Thai taste plus the Thai spiciness. As an added bonus I had Thai fishcakes and they were as if i'd bought them off any of the millions of vendors dotting the Thai streets. You can sit in or have a take away, you can even have it delivered. Simply superb. We now use it every time we want a special treat. I am confused over some of the comments but each to their own I guess. All I can say is we and everyone I know that's been there love it.

A healthy option for a take away or eating there.

It's a bit of a strange one having a takeaway above a pub but it definitely works! They have their one website which you can order delivery from or if you want a takeaway why not turn up early for a pint ;) I've not sat in before, it looks like a bit of a canteen but you cannot fault the food. They do tofu options for vegetarians or if you ask you can just have vegetables.

Proper old boozer. Friendly and welcoming with plenty of beverages to choose from. Decor is dated but comfortable. It gives the feeling of a safe environment for couples and friends to sit and chat. Nice atmosphere in there.
