What a hidden wee gem! We had a lovely takeaway meal here. The food was outstanding and very authentic, freshly made and very tasty. The guy was very friendly and took our takeaway out to the car when it was ready. Definitely worth a visit. Best meal we had whilst in Dornoch.

On holiday with friends and was advised that this was the only curry house in Dornoch so was a bit apprehensive.... but don't be... the Onion bhajis were amazing and the Madras was so tasty and and chicken tikka chunks were massive!! We were the only people eating in that Friday evening, seems to be mostly takeaways. When the first person in our group was asked what he wanted to drink he asked for water (he was driving) and the waitress didn't ask the rest of us, just rushed off and came back with water for all of us. We had to ask for some beers next time we saw her. We were served poppadoms but our main order wasn't taken, despite our knowing what we wanted to order, until the poppadoms were cleared away. So it all took a very long time, despite being empty apart from us! The food was ok though but we probably won't return as the service wasn't good or at all efficient. We all had vegetable vindaloo.

We had a mix of 4 dishes. All good and very tasty. Tandoori chicken tops in my opinion but the shahi malai dish was a new one to us and became an instant favourite .

We had the mixed munch box, chicken tikka kebab including fish and chips. All the batter on all food was soggy and the chips weren’t cooked properly. Perhaps the fat wasn’t hot enough, or needed changed but it was the worst takeaway we have ever had. Ended up throwing most of it away as it was in-edible. Our other friends who ordered similar had to do the same. Would not recommend.

The owner is a very nice guy and welcoming. Couple tables already in and they all seemed to enjoy their food. I had a simple curry which owner recommended with rice and garlic nam bread. Food came pretty quick and service was fine but the curry was bland to the point if I did not know I was in an Indian it would never have passed for a curry. Curry is by far my favorite food. Paid £25 for the dinner with bottle Cobra. Not bad I thought. A few hours later my body started to react to some possibly bad chicken, not sure but I fought all night not to vomit and had to go to restroom all night due to this food. Make of this what you will but this wasn’t my first time, I have visited here over last couple years several times. I won’t be going back. It has always been mediocre at best but I have tried several times now. Lol, I actually went there a few days ago to catch a chip butty, @£3.75 I expected a proper decent portion of chips and a nice Scottish am roll, err try old crusty sesame roll and the chips tasted awful. I certainly and most unfortunately won’t be supporting this restaurant in the future. Shame there is pretty much nothing else in Dornoch.

Had a lovely time at Highland Spice. Owner was attentive and friendly. Food was good and prices reasonable.

When you don't know what you fancy, ask the owner. I don't know what he ordered for me but it was delicious! This is now my go to meal from this takeaway, thanks Jaman!

We had a takeaway from Highland spice and it was decent but that's all. The curry's could have had more taste to them as they where quite bland. The portion size of the chicken pakira was quite small considering the price.

Had carry outs a number of times when visiting Dornoch and the quality of the food is consistently great. Brilliant chicken tikka sagwala and fantastic Sabzi Samba vegetarian dish.

This restaurant is situated within a retail park. Too much colouring had been used in the food hence it was very red. It was not an enjoyable experience eating here.

First time visiting Highland spice and it was really good..I am a curry head and cook curry every week..I ordered veg pakora which was cooked perfectly, nice crisp colour, filled and spiced well with a light not greasy texture and bite. chicken tikka chilli garlic again fresh and bang on, lovely onion, garlic,tomato rich sauce with a lovely flavour, pilao rice and garlic nan...we had to bail out from our camping trip early due to rain or I would have been back to try the butter chicken..I reheated the leftovers the next night when I got home and it was still superb..il be back..thank you..ps. the staff were warm and friendly.

Bought take away dinner for 4. All the food was cold. The chicken korma looked like a yellow sludge. Weirdly there was none of the nice curry smells you normally get.

Has to be the worst chippy I have ever experienced, the chips were raw and tasteless, king rib was swimming in a foul grease , red pudding was disgusting, and it was all made to order which is far worse ,, never will I ever go back ,, yuk !!

Terrible Indian food. Tasteless. I'll never eat there again. If you have a chance to eat in Brora, Sid's Spice is a vastly better choice.

Went for fish and chips sausage and chips for wee one it was absolutely disgusting we were here a few times before but this time has definitely put us off the oil was dripping out of the soggy fish we cut the sausage there was a puddle of oil on the plate chicken pakora was unreal still looking for the chicken couldn't eat any of it what a shame as it used to be grat

While on holiday we used this restaurant twice, had take away and sat in one evening. The food and service on both occasions was excellent. I am happy to recommend this restaurant to others who enjoy spice authentic food.

We ordered via phone and picked up. I couldn't find a proper menu online but were only staying round the corner so popped and took photos of the menu displayed in the window earlier in the day. There's a very large menu with practically every dish you can think of listed.  Along with lots and lots of specials. Friendly chap answered the phone and was told it would be ready in 20-25 minutes. True to their word it was ready on time and piping hot. I ordered a madras which had a good level of heat a very red rich sauce and plenty of chicken. My husband ordered a Kerala special with lamb and whilst nice it was practically a korma and some parts of the lamb were a bit tough. Peshwari naan was a very bright orange colour inside. Not seen one this colour before but it tasted OK. Shared a boiled rice. Total cost £29.65 for 2 mains, 2 bread and one rice. Nice average curry.

Spent last night in here for Dinner for the misses birthday, owner and staff nice and friendly, food was amazing. We had about 12 things off the menu and all very tasty, been before and be back again cheers for a good night(be in tonight for takeaway as last night of the holiday)
