Heddon Street Kitchen in City of London, Westminster

While waiting for Wellington, I had curry with saffron rice and the beer was also good. I liked the Wellington because it was worth the wait, but it would have been better if it had been slightly undercooked. I wasn't completely satisfied with the response of the man who served our table/took our orders, but the other servers were fine.

I was visiting london with my family and it was are first time going to a gordon ramsey resturant and we were very excited. Unfortunately the food was not the cuality we were expecting. The beef willington was very over priced (120 pounds) and was not very good. The one thing is that kids eat for free on the kids menu and the waiders were very kind but I still would not recommend this restaurant and now I dont want to eat at Gordan Ramsey restaurants.

Food was below average. Got scammed into paying $20 for two bottles of still water. We were not informed by the waiter about this. Beware of this scam!

Lovely venue on Heddon Street with a great open kitchen. Unfortunately the place is a bit dark, more light would be better here. The service could be faster and better. Unfortunately I had to ask for my red wine three times to get it. He can then even after 1/3 of my steak has already been eaten. The dishes (tuna tartare and dry-aged sirloin steak with mashed potatoes) were tasty but unfortunately nothing special. We expected more from Gordon Ramsey based on the name. All in all, a good restaurant that you can definitely visit, but it is not a must.

My birthday dinner at Heddon Street Kitchen exceeded all of my expectations, which were already quite high! The scallops, rib-eye steak with Bernaise sauce, and sticky toffee pudding were out of this world, and the service was impeccable. The entire staff went above and beyond to ensure my birthday experience was memorable, providing complimentary drinks and dessert. The ambiance was the perfect degree of classy casual, and I was pleased to see a fair number of children and families dining together while maintaining a sophisticated atmosphere. Although I didn't have my toddler with me on this occasion, I will not hesitate to bring him with me on my next visit and will definitely return soon to try more menu items. Special thanks to Rafael and the Heddon Street Kitchen staff for creating the perfect dining experience!

A pleasant place, slightly removed from the hustle and bustle of the big city in a quiet side street. The staff was very nice, especially the lady in the dressing room who was from Ukraine. I had Fish and Chips, but the fish was quite greasy. A glass of Prossecco cost 12.50, which I thought was a bit excessive. Otherwise, everything is great!

I had Fish&Chips which were terribly greasy. Son wanted to order ribs, they didn't have them... with such a narrow menu and at such prices, it shouldn't happen that some food is left out. A glass of prosecco at £12.50 is also really quite. The service was very pleasant.

Went here with my family for the last full night we had in London. Very nice, restaurant in a hidden location. Stumbled upon it and knew we had to come. Our server Lidia was absolutely wonderful. She gave her recommendations on the best gin and tonics, as well as which fish dish would be the best. She was very friendly and always checking in. The Burrata appetizer was wonderful with very unique flavor combinations. The duck salad was also delicious. All of our entrées, including the butter chicken curry, steak, sea bream and cod were amazing. The chocolate fondant and the sticky pudding were a perfect way to end the meal. Will definitely be returning on our next visit to London.

Our server, Andrés, was absolutely amazing! We enjoyed every single dish that we ordered, especially the Beef Wellington. The portion is definitely enough for 2 to 3 people if you order a few additional sides. Amazing experience!

This place is a haven away from the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street. The food was reasonably priced and delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful. The ice cream bar upstairs is a delight for young children. Great experience in a lovely atmosphere. Really enjoyed and would return.

We went to Savoy last year and was hugely disappointed with their Wellington (though everything else was good), we hesitated and finally decided to try it again in a different place. we are so glad we did—the beef Wellington is great here, as was all other dishes our great staff Ionut recommended. Ionut was professional and recommended/served, we had a blast. This is hands down our best meal in our 5-day London visit.

We loved visiting and the food was sooo delicious, the customer service was amazing as well as a waiter named Andrés who was especially helpful and kind, and very funny, he on his own deserves 5 stars! ⭐️

Food was okay. Ordered a steak sandwich in replacement of the Idiot Sandwich that was sold out. Server told us it was the same price, but we were charged for a full ribeye steak (even after pointing out the discrepancy on the bill). The kids food was lackluster at best, and our kids at least wouldn’t touch it. Restaurant atmosphere was okay (though very warm inside), but service was slow all around. Overall, it is not worth the price. We left feeling quite a bit more dissatisfied, but took a few days to evaluate more calmly.

This was very disappointing, very bad service, and bad food quality. No plates were picked up or changed throughout the whole meal so the table was full all the time. Couldn’t order dessert because there weren’t any waiters near for 30 minutes. The ravioli we ordered as a normal meal came very small, and not very gourmet.

We attended this restaurant as a gift experience with a visit up the Shard too. The meal was a roast for two. So excited for this experience and sampling food from a Gordan Ramsay Restaurant. We were told didn't have to have the roast but could order anything else on the menu to the value of £23 same as roast cost, but could add more if wanted. I love a roast so stayed with that and ordered the beef. My partner loves a burger with all the trimmings so at £23 thought he'd order an all dancing and singing burger. We also ordered the signature chicken wings to share as a starter. The starter arrived quite quick and I must say they were delishious. Our mains arrived quite soon after so can't complain as we didn't have a long wait as some have said, in fact would have liked another 10 mins to digest our shared starter! Oh well never mind. My roast..... beef as it should be nice and pink in the middle. Yorkshire nice, carrots very tasty as was the gravey. Didn't really like the white cabbage as was dished up and large chunk. If you like your veg you don't get much. As for the roast potatoes, which I was looking forward to, after all its a Gordon Ramsey Restaurant! I had 3 small potatoes, hardly crispy at all and tasted no better than barely cooked Aunt Bessie's! However the meal was adequate. As I said what let it down was the roast potatoes. BURGER..... baring in mind it was expensive in terms of a burger, as i said thought it was going to be a larger than average one but it was small and average and the chips were like Macdonald chips. Dissapointing he said but just ok. The service was good, staff polite, we were in and out in just about an hour. Considering it was an experience there was a large service charge, which we opted out of paying, we'll decide how much tip we want to give thank you very much! Would I go again, only if get another experience voucher. Sorry Gordon apart from the wings, I've had similar if not better roasts in a pub and my OH had a bigger better burger he said in a Wetherspoons.

This review is 90% directed at the operations of this restaurant behind the front facing employees. We booked our reservation months in advance to have an opportunity at having Beef Wellington. I’m aware of the holiday and different closing hours but with that if the operation has the kitchen closing 1 hour before close, maybe not take reservations or have an alert on the system. It’s feasible. Next step would be to alert incoming patrons at the hostess stand that certain menu items were not available, such as the famous Beef Wellington. Would have saved us from a terrible experience. Once at the table, our drink order was taken before being explained what items on the menu were not available (Beef Wellington). When it was explained that items were not available we proceeded to hear that the kitchen is closing/closed. Since drinks were ordered, we figured let’s order our son his food while we discuss menu or alternative options. The kids hamburger came out and was beyond well done. The staff and management accordingly took it off the bill. The staff did everything in their power, my issue is that before sitting at the table our experience would not of happened had there been operational procedures in place.

Best beef Wellington in all of London. One of the greatest dining experiences you’ll ever have! But if the incredible food and setting weren’t enough, what makes this experience so memorable is the staff. Andrés the waiter has the charm of Antonio Banderas and the speed of the Flash. You won’t find a better waiter in all of England! And of course Anastasia the hostess is so welcoming and wonderful. It’ll be difficult to find a meal better than any one served at Heddon Street Kitchen. Highly recommend.

We booked for a BuyaGift Bottomless Brunch. When we arrived, we were told this had stopped, though the bottomless drinks menu was the same, and food would be a main or salad, and desert from the main menu. There was some confusion around ordering due to the changed menu, and one of the preferred main chooses was not available. Also one of the mains ordered arrived missing an extra item requested.. So all-in-all, it wasn’t a great initial experience. BUT, when we explained these problems to Rafael Santos (Guest Relations Manager) he took ownership and made sure the rest of our experience was brilliant. We could not have asked for better customer service. He really made the difference, and turned what would be a 2* to a 5* review. Thank you. If this is how customer service works in GR restaurants, we will definitely come back.

We had an amazing night at Heddon Street Kitchen tonight. Saad, Rafael and Marco were outstanding!!! They catered our every need. The food (Wellington Beef Experience) was delicious, wine excellent - we couldn’t ask for more. Next time we’re in London, we’ll definitely return. Hold our table!

Nice venue. Ordered from the set menu as we were a large group. Starter (Salmon poké) was amazing. Main: Sirloin steak was underwhelming. A very average, and tough meat was served. Dessert: Black forest cheesecake. Pretty decent. Taken one star off for the main, and another for service without a smile. Restaurant staff looked grumpy. The service was also pretty slow, which is common for a large and busy restaurant.

We dined here after a hospital appointment. Very friendly staff and great atmosphere. I asked for a gin and tonic and instead of being served in a balloon gin glass it was served in a hi ball glass....which gave a different feel to the drink. I asked for a Waldorf salad. Traditionally with apples, celery, raisins walnuts and a creamy dressing.... This was disappointing ... Shredded romaine lettuce, shredded carrot, apple and the dressing was a sweet brown dressing that completely overpowered the dish and made the salad very wet and soggy.....I couldn't finish it....buy the chicken that I had with it was perfectly cooked apart from a soggy skin....which I took off. A little disappointed.

We obviously called so many people in front of us and said that we are not enough (!!!) Did you know that after eating for most of the time, we were actually quite full 😂😂😂 It's a pity that some of the staff have some words that are not meant to serve us. Great beef Wellington of course

Food was alright. The let down was the slow and passive service, and the most outrageous thing is that they have the audacity to charge 15% service charge. The most I have ever seen in London!!! I‘d avoid out of principle.

Nice setup for a family with kids. Our waitress, Ania was wonderful! My kids especially loved the ice cream bar upstairs. I decided to get a burger and it was probably one of the best I’ve had in the UK.

Disappointed that we had booked the weekend brunch and arrived to be told they didn’t do it anymore. Service was really slow, had to ask for water, to order drinks, order food, was not offered dessert menu, had to ask twice for bill, and then ask to pay. Food was nice, nothing special, a strange selection, a bit over priced which was also disappointing as the brunch menu had looked good value and nicer choices.

It’s a lovely restaurant with great atmosphere and good service but I don’t think the food is that great. Starters tasty but overly heavy on the ginger on the scallops. £40-on quid for a steak so for it not to be blowing your socks off tasty is a little disappointing. The ribeye was quite chewy around the outside. Duck salad was “ok” in the opinion of my partner. Anyhow, nice spot and useful for pre-theatre atmospheric dining.

Finally been there done that. Maybe Wellies are not for me. The protein alone is tender and goes well with the sauce. I do want to try others next time I am there.
