Let’s start with the good. The food was decent, well presented and good portion size. Their menu has a nice range of potions with the most expensive main meal being in the region of £20. With that in mind the kitchen team deserve a well done.

Visited The Plough pm today without making booking. Was very fortunate to be shown the last available table. My reckoning on a full house speaks volumes of the quality of the food and service. The decor was modern and tasteful with featured ornamental trees in full bloom upstairs in the restaurant and downstairs in the bar area. Nice touch and very fitting.

28 o us had a fantastic gather. Excellent beer on draft, an food equally as good. We have booked again for 30 - Christmas Eve 2019.

We had a family booking at 5:30pm on Christmas Eve for 11adults and 2 children aged 2 and 4. We also had a baby with us. My brother and his wife were visiting from Canada and we were eager to impress!

Myself, my partner and mother visited today at lunch time. Mum ate from the Christmas menu and myself and my partner ate from the main menu.

We have visited here quite a lot but the last few times we have left disappointed.

What a delightful evening. Sitting beneath the cherry blossom tree eating scrumptious food. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. The beef curry was full of flavour nan breads buttery and delicious. It’s been a long time since I’ve eaten such amazing food. The desserts are artistically presented and full of yumminess. We shall definitely be returning. What a gem beautiful decor and happy caring staff

I could not fault this place one bit! I enjoyed my last visit before it had been refurbished but this visit topped the last. Stepping inside we were greeted with amazing decoration (the blossom trees being my favourite) a nice modern contemporary and classy style throughout the pub and restaurant. We ordered drinks and was taken upstairs to our table where we ordered the beef and chicken curries and chocolate brownie/sticky toffee pudding. Absolutely delicious and I really liked how the presentation wasn't forgotten about. Presentation is the difference between *s I think. The food portions and time between serving were just right and the staff were attentive and friendly, we had to give a decent tip!

Tucked away off the main road, good wholesome food and range of hand pump beers along with the usual drinks and snacks. Unusual decor and family friendly.

went with family and must say the food was beautiful. they have renovated upstairs to a very cozy modern room. very romantic if you was going with a loved one. table service was quick and all staff polite and cheerful. food was brought out hot and tasted amazing. Big potions so left with full tummies.will defo go back .

Me and my boyfriend went for a lovely meal here. The food was outstanding, the service cannot be faulted - staff were extremely attentive and the decor inside was beautiful! I had to keep taking pictures because I loved the blossom trees and copper touches throughout!

Great value for money at lunchtime. Cheese and onion pie lovely, lasagne very poor. Nothing like a real lasagne. Desserts scrumptious. Service great.

We went with friends to try the 2 for 1 deal on a Wednesday evening. The level of service was good with attentive staff. The food was well presented and tasty. Will be going again.

Fantastic food here, my Grandma loves it and we love to pop in for lunch when we can. Everything is always presented lovely, great portion sizes and the service is always good too! They have some really good deals on certain days of the week.

We visited this restaurant after shopping at oswaldtwistle mill and wanted a little lunch.

This was our first time at the plough and I can say we will def be back again the food was amazing and everyone enjoyed. Also the staff that served us were really nice and polite and so helpful. As I say we will be back again

Wonderful food, amazing atmosphere, attentive staff and the best selection of gins I've seen! There is nothing negative I can say at all. Ooh and the scallop starter is just mmm!!

Visited the plough with my wife and 6 other people to celebrate a birthday while on a holiday from Ireland .This was our second visit to the restaurant this year . The service is great and the staff are very helpful . the menu is excellent and the food is tasty . Looking to our next visit to try it out again .

The restaurant is lovely with polite staff. The desserts are a must for anyone they look good and taste delicious. I will be coming back again.

Visited last year for a lunch with friends and had great meal so when visiting again we decided to stop for a quick lunch.

I was blown away by the decor of this place. The silk Japanese blossom against a dark background was stunning, fixtures and fittings of high quality and very friendly staff who are polite and efficient.

We visited the plough for a family meal out, everyone thoroughly enjoyed it and the food was amazing. We have been here in the past before it was done up and we will definitely be returning in the near future.

We went to the Plough today the 11th as it was close to where our friend lives and she had heard many good things and I had read the many good reviews on here.I don't like reading bad reviews of places and even less giving them but if an honest review stops the owners getting complacent I think it only fair to give an honest take on our experience.

Since the owners opened the Plough around 18 months ago I have eaten here a number of times, a few times with my son, a couple of times with my partner and for a family 80th birthday meal (in the recently opened upstairs area).

Fish was really overcooked batter was nearly a mahogany colour and was so dry the fat chips were hard inside-my friend had Cajun chicken the ciabatta was dry .we told the waitress when she came to clear and she said she'd tell the chef -any chef worth their salt wouldn't have sent that fish out we paid and left,won't return I'm afraid.

we live locally and hadn't been here since it was refurbished .went on a girls meal out and it was absolutely lovely.Food was excellent a very good night

Didn't put excellent down because when we ordered our meal an hour later from sitting down the starter's garlic bread came with our main meals and the garlic bread was on tea cakes not very nice, but our main meals was very nice, will try it again

Second visit for food to the plough since the refurbishment and it was just as yummy as the first. I had the goat cheese tart to start and my partner had black pudding fritters. We would happily recommend both of these! Friendly staff, service is still slow but it is worth the wait

We visited for lunch on a sunny Bank Holiday Monday. The bar area was very quiet, but lots of people were eating outside in the sunshine - we decided it was more comfortable inside. Our order was taken promptly. For starters I had a confit duck leg from the specials menu, She Who Must Be Obeyed had potato skins. Starters took a little while to arrive, but when they did we were very happy with them. The duck was tender with nice crispy skin and accompanied by a tasty Cumberland sauce (I had no idea what Cumberland sauce might be, but it was sweet and fruity and tasty). SWMBO received a towering pile of potato skins with a chilli jam and a garlic mayonnaise - I was obliged to help her finish and can confirm that they were very nice.

We arrived for an early dinner, just as the place was opening. The young staff were delightful, knowledgeable, smart and helpful, with smiles throughout. Food was served promptly and was great quality and good quantity. Prices reasonable and decor modern and comfortable. I will be back.

This is my fourth visit to the Plough. The first since the refurbishment. What a change. You walk in and everything you see is wow.

Booked a table for 5 plus baby seated in New area upstairs gorgeous renovation staff were wonderful as always .

Party of 3, and we all had an excellent meal that was very well presented and very tasty. The chicken liver parfait was delicious, as was the king scallops (could have eaten more of the scallops - yum). Then for mains; lasagne, pulled beef curry and beef stroganoff - again all excellent. The service was fantastic. All in all a faultless evening and would recommend definitely.

Had been to The Plough a few years ago for dinner and it was lovely.Went back for an afternoon tea with our daughter.

Had lunch here today. Home made steak burger with pancetta and cheese with onion rings for me. D cut gammon steaks for hubby. Home made brownie for desert. All cooked to perfection. Food was very well presented and generous portions. Staff were friendly and very attentive. Would definitely recommend this place.

Table was booked and even though the restaurant was very busy we were showed to our table, we both had the set 3 course Sunday lunch and it was fabulous. Service was fantastic and it doesn't break the bank, we will go back again.

Went here on a Friday evening with friends. Easy to book and on booking they even checked on any food allergies. Lovely bar area. Very friendly staff. Really good service. Excellent food. Can highly recommend... Will definitely be back.

One of the best eating places I’ve been too.

We visited the restaurant on Friday during the early evening. I had the Smoked Haddock and my wife had the Cheese and Onion Pie. We both enjoyed our meals and the staff were very attentive and friendly. We have been before and we will visit again.

Visited here last Saturday! Everything about it was fantastic! The atmosphere is lovely, the food excellent and the service amazing!!

The Plough should get five star ratings every time. The reason I give three is nothing to do with the food as it was well above pub grub. The only niggle with that was the extremely small portions with the starters. Unfortunately it was let down for the following.……. Because there is only one room diners are subject to drinkers with children noisily running around. Not what you want when dining early evening. For that reason we would dine later if we went again. I’m not sure what the policy is for time restriction on children. Actually the children dining where very well behaved. We arrived about 40 minutes before our booking expecting to sit with friends and have a drink before dining. There wasn’t anywhere to to sit except for a few scattered tall stools. So we had to stand and dodge the kids that were throwing themselves around the floor. The food is great. It’s a pity there isn’t another section to sit at tables to enjoy a drink

This place has everything great staff friendly and efficient great choice on menu great produce and all for an extremely reasonable price with great ambience so glad we found this hidden gem we will certainly be back again soon

The food at the Plough is great and good value for money. Especially on the 2 for 1 burger nights or fish and chips nights.

Came here for a Christmas meal with my work colleagues and was impressed from the start. A good selection of real ales, very nicely refurbished bar area and the food was amazing. Nice little twists on classic dishes without being too fancy although I must single out the delicious black pudding, easily the best I have ever had and with two eggs done to perfection.

Nice staff and a good nicely refurbished pub. The food was nothing special, but nor was there anything to pick fault with. Just average pub food at a reasonable price.

This is 1/2 pub 1/2 restaurant, slit on two levels so the feel is OK, you don't feel you are eating at a pub table. There is a selection of good beers at not too silly prices, so OK if you just want a drink.

Nicely decorated but felt quite chilly inside for October. No welcome from staff. When staff actually acknowledged us and asked what we wanted to drink I asked what sort of beer, they said did I mean Lager? She had to go to the bar to find out what sort of beer they had on draft. Menu fairly basic at lunchtime, a la carte only available in the evenings. Bog standard Lasagne and prawn sandwich although well filled and tasty was served on a board with a bit of rather wilted salad and chips in pretentious wire basket - why?

Every time I visit The Plough it gets better and better. Not only is the food the best in the area the owners Karina & Matt are simply lovely. The pulled beef curry is the best so much so I'm going to try and remake it myself! Also had my engagement party there and we had so many compliments on the room, Karina & co went above and beyond to make it such a special night for family & friends. Thank you ❤️

Visited The Plough with family after hearing rave reviews from them. This is a great British pub and hits the nail on the head with all of the traditional offerings. Portions were huge and prices very reasonable. I was spoilt for choice and had food envy every time someone else's food arrived. Really enjoyable evening!

Dined here on the 3rd September and I was pleasantly surprised. I moved from this area a good six years ago so completely relied on Trip Advisor for somewhere to dine and I'm pleased to say that I wasn't let down.

I love the Plough, lovely relaxed atmosphere and the food is delicious. Plenty of choice, value for money and of exceptional quality. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Gins a plenty which is always a bonus and a good choice of real ale. Looking forward to trying their new menu both food and wine. Well worth a visit and the people I have recommended it to have loved it and will return or have returned.

We celebrated our Golden Wedding Anniversary in the functions room. We could not have been more pleased. Karina was a delight to work with making all the arrangements, nothing was too much trouble for her. Matthew the chef was equally accommodating and the food was fantastic. The room was welcoming and the staff were very pleasant and again nothing was too much trouble for them. I would certainly consider this venue for any future celebration. Well done to everyone.

The Plough is one of my local pubs that i used to always use. The place has had a full refurb and now more restaurant orientated. They do serve well poured drink, great food and good entertainment.

We called in on Wednesday, I was surprised it was quite busy. Menu is good lots of choice.

Fuimos un grupo de ocho en domingo! La comida era muy buena, todo el mundo contento con sus entrantes elegidos, platos principales y postres. Los domingos hay un menú especial para elegir o elegir desde el menú principal. Las raciones eran justo! Teníamos una persona en nuestro grupo con autismo y específico de dieta, estaban bien con esto y nos dio todo lo que pedimos! ! Como prometieron después de mi visita en enero menos favorecidas, volvimos el 25 de junio. Una vez más, la comida y el servicio eran excelentes, esta vez podía disfrutar al completo. Pat y yo tuvimos la sopa para comenzar, mientras que Alex una vez más, tenía la coliflor buñuelos. Mi principal era el sobresaliente, Pat fue muy completo sandwich cerdo desmenuzado y Alex tenía stroganoff de nuevo. El postre fue helado caliente fudge brownie Pat, para Alex. I was recommended the Plough by a friend so booked a table for Saturday afternoon at 2.30. When you enter the premises it as a wow factor lovely decor and a nice set up we was shown to our table with menus and was informed of the specials for the day I had a T bone steak beautifully cooked with fries wild mushrooms and tomatoes excellent my Girlfriend had the Beef Stroganoff which she said was beautiful and would have again. It was with rice we will definitely be going again wonderful venue and meal well done The Plough

Esta vez llevamos así amigos, que siempre es una preocupación cuando ya han comentado en algún sitio. Me gustó mucho, la cocina tiene un mal día, qué tal si la cocina tenía un día sterling en su primera visita. De todos modos no teníamos que habernos preocupado la comida estaba allí arriba, genial. Nuestros amigos también complementa el entorno y la calidad de excepción y una buena relación calidad-precio.

He estado en el arado muchas veces, nunca nos había defraudado. He probado la mayoría de los menús individuales de cada cosa que he probado ha sido absolutamente deliciosa! Desde las pieles de patata, cebolla y queso a la tarta, carne de hamburguesa, sándwiches y mi preferido la carne desmenuzado curry! Todos son platos excepcionales y absolutamente bajo precio en mi opinión. Todo el personal es genial en su trabajo. Muy atento y no puedo hacer más por ti. Los propietarios van bien para usted, no importa lo ocupado que están, lo que no es de esperar en un restaurante abarrotado, ya que tienen personal que les pagan para hacer esto.

Staters ok not what i expected ordered potato skins looked like thin wedges main course my husband asked for chicken breast in peepercorn sauce ended up with what looked like a chicken leg with the bone sticking out we ordered breast not leg chef said after french trimmed crap never going again

Primera vez aquí desde mediados de los años 80! Agradable sorpresa. Decoración contemporánea, buena variedad de bebidas y cervezas. Zona de asientos elevados, lo que crea una barrera natural del pub. El pub todavía conserva su identidad mientras ofrece la opción de comida. Menú con ofertas especiales. A un precio razonable y porciones de tamaño. Hombre Muy sabroso y abundante. El buen sandwich de carne sin alimentar a una familia de cuatro. Nuestra familia incluía una de seis años que no hicieran ruido! Sin duda regresaría de nuevo y se lo recomendaría este hotel a parejas y familias que quieran disfrutar de una comida de fin de semana. Buena suerte en el arado y esperamos que prestéis atención a la fuerza.

El interior es moderno, luminoso y bastante lujoso. Hay asientos espaciosos organizada y la personal muy acogedor. Un buen comienzo y tener un buen sandwich de carne ordenados con patatas fritas macizos esperaba contar con un buen almuerzo. Pero estaba equivocado era sin duda fabuloso. La atención al detalle era genial. Desde la porción de patrimonio de remolacha, hierbas y vestidor en la pequeña ensalada. . Un recipiente pequeño de mojar salsa deliciosa, muy sabrosa. Básicamente un lento, derretir en la boca sacó sandwich de carne.

Yo había estado muchas veces y trajo un buen amigo conmigo ya que siempre estoy hablando de lo bueno que es. Así lo intentó.

Somos un grupo de 15 que incluía 5 niños que acabamos de disfrutar una fabulosa cena en la barredora celebrando el cumpleaños de mi sobrina de 21 Street. Disfrutamos de una selección de entrantes, platos principales y postres de los especiales, general y menú infantil. La calidad y variedad de comida de alto nivel y el servicio que recibimos fue excelente. El ambiente era cálido y amable, y el arado estaba decorado con gusto. Todos disfrutamos de la celebración y sin duda volveremos. Un grande gracias a todo el personal de la barredora.

Acabo de regresar de almorzar en el hotel Plough Oswaldtwistle y no podríamos estar más contentos con la acogida, el servicio y la comida. Todo el personal era atento y agradable. La comida era fresca y deliciosa y atractivamente servido. La música de fondo sólo para nuestro gusto! Me puedo quejar de nada, bien hecho, a todo el mundo, justo lo que necesitas en Oswaldtwistle.

No puedo decir lo suficiente sobre este lugar! Mi novio y yo visitamos para cenar temprano/tarde las cinco de la tarde y nos quedamos impresionados. El restaurante en sí era precioso por dentro, de muy buen gusto y te sientes como si estuvieras en un pub rural rústico pero elegante. Muebles de alto nivel; también hay un área de bar donde puede simplemente para una bebida o dos que complementa el restaurante muy bien. Las opciones del menú eran geniales: teníamos ajo ciabatta con chile y langostinos con ajo para comenzar con una tarta de queso y tomate con un huevo escalfado en la cima, tanto entrantes eran deliciosos y no demasiado overfacing. Para nuestros platos principales tuvimos pan salmón frito con puré de espinacas y espárragos y mi pareja tenía pescado y patatas fritas. Las patatas fritas eran para morirse y el pescado a un estándar muy alto. Dos entradas, dos platos principales y dos rondas de bebidas (vinos y lemo dos y dos pintas) pagamos £48. Was a wonderful meal and very comfortable. My granddaughter and myself went for lunch. Was fabulous food and felt really relaxed and cosy. Brill, going back again tomorrow, after a shopping session. Bring on the food. Xx

Siempre he vivido cerca de la barredora, pero ya que ha sido tomada, es genial.

Llevamos a mi madre aquí para el té. Todos teníamos cosas diferentes y cada comida. Sin duda recomiendo el Steak n Ale y la carne Sandwich pastel caliente. La lubina era precioso, pero no lo suficiente para comida de un hombre. Creo que tendremos como nuestro restaurante local ahora como había mucha variedad. Sólo tienes que ver lo que el menú infantil es como ahora. Personal son también muy amable y servicial, sin estar en tu cara.
