I was here on Monday with my friend. We hadn’t been before but will definitely be going back. The food was excellent, the service was excellent and the atmosphere was lovely. The ladies couldn’t do enough for us. The place was lovely and very clean. I would definitely recommend 100%

I’ve passed by here almost on a daily basis based on the misconception that it was a coffee and cake type of place, but had a closer look today and realised it was much more. I popped in for breakfast and it was exceptional. Staff were very friendly, place is spotless and the food was wonderful. I’d highly recommend.

A very lovely cafe. I didn't notice they were there until I passed by one day and curiously looked up (we're new to Uddingston). Decided to have lunch, it was busy but they accommodated me in a amtable booked 45mins later. I don't eat that long so it was fine for me. Had the special of the day baked macaroni with bacon served with garlic bread and chips. Soooo good. Very lovely, friendly staff. I'll need to try the cakes next time. 😋

Lovely cafe, friendly staff. Cooked breakfast is really tasty, great pot of tea and speedy service! Would definitely eat here again! Other good points: Safe, social distance from other tables. Supports other local business - the square sausage and black pudding were awesome! (from Donald Butcher & Poulsterer across the street from the cafe).

Been to this charming place a few times both on my own and with other people. The staff are always friendly and attentive, the coffee is good and and the cakes/scones are fab. I would highly recommend a visit. Advisable to book during Covid (non tier 4 restrictions) but I think some limited tables are available on request.

Really enjoyed our breakfast in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Very good price and excellent service. Hazel is an amazing host! Got to take away some of her delicious scones, that we ate before arriving home. Strongly recommend it!

The lady serving us was very helpful, cafe clean and tables well spaced, unfortunatly the waitress couldn't tell us which of the delicious looking cakes were nut free. We were also charged 60p for a jug of water to accompany our tea as we don't take milk. When questioned the waitress advised that it was because she had to washed an extra pot. She did however take this 60 p off the bill when challenged

If you love home baking, this is the place for you. The scones are amazing and I’ve been lucky enough to have had them straight out of the oven. Fab wee bakery.

I would say a little over priced if I was being super picky but lovely staff.

Ordered a lactose free birthday cake for my son at short notice. Design was exactly as requested and the cake tastes amazing. First class.

To start with the positive, the place was clean and the staff friendly, also their tea tasted really good.The only negative and I'll admit it's a bit petty, but ordered sandwiches and they came in two big hunks of bread. I struggled to put the huge sandwich in my mouth. I had to cut it into small sections. It didn't look very dainty and was a bit unprofessional looking. I did find it a little pricey but not overtly.

Fairly new addition to Uddingston cafes, staff are very friendly and you can get some breakfast or lunch - or even a late afternoon snack. Handy with lots of free car parking just behind the café itself.

Gorgeous cakes, friendly staff, and a beautiful little cafe. Cannot wait to go back with my daughter. Celebration cakes are delicious and my daughters favourite has always been her rapunzel cake!! Amazing

My parents recently moved to the area so when my mum and I went for a walk to explore the local area we couldn't resist popping in for a hot chocolate. Lovely little coffee shop and lovely girls that work there. Food was also good and all very reasonably priced. Next time I'm in the area I will definitely pop back in but may come for lunch instead of a quick breakfast. Would definitely recommend

Spent a Sunday afternoon here getting some brunch.This is a small little cafe nestled on Uddingston Main street. We were welcomed promptly and shown to a seat. The decor was lovely with lots of photographs of the owners and their cake creations.We ordered rolls and sausage and French toast and some coffees. The sausages were from the butchers across the road and were delicious. The portion of French toast was also really good and was well worth the price (better price point than other local brunch spots). Coffee was okay but my latte was really quite strong and wasn't as milky as it should have been.Service was excellent and very attentive even though it was a busy Sunday. The shop also has little cakes on display but they didn't have any names next to them so you would have to do a bit of guess work to figure out what they were. Would have been good to know what the options were! Overall though it was an enjoyable bite to eat in this little gem. Will definitely visit again the next time I am looking for a tasty and affordable brunch.

I was walking to the train station and wanted to pick up a snack for the ride, and got a fruit scone here. I wish I'd tasted the scone before I was already halfway to Edinburgh, because I immediately wanted a dozen more. I loved how flaky and light it was, and not overly sugary. I enjoy all kinds of scones, but this one might be my favorite ever! It was a shame I didn't have time to sit and have tea in the shop, because it was a really lovely space and there were some really pretty tea sets on the counter.

Rubbish no cup cakes yet they ment be bakery soup cold and half a sandwich for £8!!!

Popped in to warm up after my daughter’s tennis lesson, we were not disappointed! Friendly service, lovely cake selection, all delicious and in a warm and loved setting. Looking forward to next week, think I’ll try their breakfast menu...

Lovely afternoon tea with excellent service. Nothing too much trouble. Sandwiches, sausage rolls and delicious homemade cakes, scones, meringues and empire biscuits! Well worth a visit! We will certainly be back!

Looking for a quick place to eat locally and found this wee cafe. It was light and spacious feeling, girls serving were pleasant and just the right amount of attention without being overly visible. Myself and elderly mother had a lunch here and food was good. I had all day breakfast that was the nicest I've had recently(I've had a few !!) my mum had the soup and sandwich which she stated was very nice ( which for her is high praise) food was a reasonable price and it was generally a pleasant experience. It is a small space and was reasonably quiet when we went, not sure how comfortable if it was really busy, but tables appear well spaced.

This is a light bight tea room serving home backing, great soup and excellent sandwiches, It's owner managed and as a result everything that goes to the customer is overseen by the owner. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. If you are looking for a nice place to meet and have a coffee/tea look no further than the Butterfly. The toilets are spotless
