Two couples and a 2 year old for brunch. The food was impeccable, cooked perfect, all delicious, the mushroom marsala was fantastic, the black pudding was delightful. The waffles are like a small bite of heaven. Service was very relaxed and friendly, no hassle from any of the staff.

Lighthouse

12/04/2018: The Lighthouse is a fine dining type restaurant, which occasionally offers something a little different from their normal menu. Last night, they did a World Street food menu, and it was just as good as always!
10/02/2018: Friendly and attentive young staff.

Stones Restaurant

16/02/2018: Matlock has come a long way since my childhood visits and this modern, stylish and very capable restaurant exemplifies this. For £25 at lunchtime one has great canapés, lovely bread, three very good courses and petit fours (coffee extra but well worth it ). Great cocktail list and a lot of good value wine.
23/02/2018: Although Mrs G has visited Stones several times before, this was my first time and I have to say I wasn’t disappointed. The service was excellent throughout the meal and the food was simply superb. Highlights were the chicken main course and the chocolate & hazelnut tart but to be fair, everything was top drawer. The canapés were a nice touch and the petit fours served with the coffees were a final indulgence. With the food @ £25 a head, we thought the total bill of £71 was excellent value for money. Highly recommended.
