Lost count of the amount of bottles of spirits the bar staff have collectively strained ants out of and gone on to serve to customers x Don't trust anything with sugar or a speedpourer x

Lovely little bar , very cosy and staff very friendly . Also a bonus i could take the dog in .

Disappointed with service. 2 staff on. I stood for at least 10 minutes. Not once acknowledged even to say 'I'll be with you soon'. Poor customer service. Atmosphere just ok!!

Great staff, lovely atmosphere bar need update nothing changed last good fewer years.

We went there on a lunch time, during the week. I ordered halloumi burger with chips. The halloumi burger was served in breadcrumed strips (very weird for a burger). The breadcrumbs were all soggy, certainly not what I was expecting. We were on a limited time frame due to parking, so didn't raise it with staff.

First and definitely not the last visit. Very friendly staff and brilliant atmosphere. Well done.

We've never eaten here so cant judge the food (excluding bar snacks) . We enjoy the quiet atmosphere too just relax in. There are sockets and free wifi to connect to and work from. The drinks are affordable and readily available. They have a variety of cocktails although i havent had a chance to try them. The staff are all friendly and easy to talk to. There is a rooftap bar that is frequently used but we havent seen it yet They allow dogs and offer drinking water for them. Kids are also allowed during the day

Always enjoy going here nice atmosphere and attentive staff. Lovely indoor and outdoor spaces.

One of my favourite pubs to vist I'm darlington at the moment friendly staff, high quality products and a great place to sit especially on the terrace in the sun

Great seating on the terrace with a good selection of drinks. Avoid the food though! I ordered a £7 smoked sausage hot dog that was just a cheap hot dog in a burger bun, no fresh spring onion just cheap dried stuff with cold grated cheese. Not even close to worth the price.

Called in briefly for a couple of pints. Outside street seating. Pleasant enough and staff friendly and helpful.

Hash is great. Nothing better than sitting on the rooftop bar in the summer with a beer or two.

Good cocktails. Closes at 10.30 not 11 as Google says the incorrect time

Paid for a round of drinks at 10.21 on the app. Drinks did not arrive when we mentioned it the staff said it was to late and I would be refunded. Still waiting for the refund 😡

Great bar fully opened up again after lockdown. Run by welcoming owners and staff. Always friendly. Nice relaxed vibe in afternoons, funkier varied custom in the evening. A really relaxing place with a fabulous roof terrace when we have the sun. Never tire of this lovely spot. Keep it up guys.Tony and Jane

Great chilled glasses of wine and so worth the prices charged, it was lovely to see Ma,am Yasmin again after moving away from the area and only popping in on our return journey from seeing family. THIS PLACE IS FAB xx

Good menu for lunch and open 11-11 most days. Very pleasant staff. Burgers, paninis and chips were great, but the salad was poor and not much of it.

My family go there near enough every Saturday to meet our friends. We have lunch and drinks, the bar staff are so kind and friendly. They always come over and give my friends daughter colouring in stuff and chat with us. Despite it being busy, they always find the time to have a chat and make sure everything is ok. Can’t do enough for you.

Visited Hash Bar and Kitchen yesterday with friedns and family. I found the experience fantastic with great staff attending to all our needs and going that extra mile to help, amazing food and a good vibe. It was very busy and is clearly a very popular place. I would high recommend Hash if you are in Darlington and looking for quick bite to eat.

After being a regular for many years I was extremely unhappy with the way the bar manager dealt with my complaint (flat prosecco) at xmas time.. I was asked to buy another and the way I was spoken to was disgraceful! Yesterday I finally got round to discussing this with the manager. Again, I'm extremely unhappy with her response as she backed up her bar manager's decision to not supply me with a replacement drink! After the incident at xmas I decided that I would never set foot in hash ever again, nor will my friends and family. Due to this response and, after getting home yesterday and reading the manager's response to my mother in law's review I have definitely made the right decision as there was an insinuation that my account of events was 'slightly different'! There were 4 of my friends that witnessed the incident and were also appalled. Anyway, it's a real shame as we created a lot of custom for hash, as a result of this we also will never go into hatch again! With attitudes like that neither deserve anyone's custom.

We were in need of food and had 0 idea where to go, i asked a staff member in Holland and Barrett. She recommended Hash, so glad she did :)You can see by my photos what we ate and it was soo tasty.The vibe is fresh and cool. You feel like you are in London not Darlo.

Yesterday evening my wife and I visited Hash for drinks with friends. Despite it being real busy we were seen quickly by a member of staff, my wife ordered a gin and the lady helping could not be more helpful in showing us what gins you had. The atmosphere was fantastic and all bar staff were lively and friendly.

Absolutely love Hash. Love the food, the atmosphere and spending time here.

Even though I’ve been in for drinks before , today was a first for eating at Hash. Great menu with plenty choice, wonderful staff and at a reasonable price. We both had the house special burger - their take on a Big Mac. It was far superior. Highly recommend

Hash Bar ans Kitchen is a lovely place to go to, toilets upstairs. baby changing mat toilet down stairs, it is clean. the prices are very very good. . it is a romantic place to go to if you just want to eat and hold hands. it is also very good for reading your papers while you tuck into a gorgeous meal. well done to everyone who just knows how to make us just keep on coming back time and time and time again .

Had lunch with friends. Nice pleasant area to sit on the upstairs terrace. Meet here regularly for lunch with friends. Good food and good value for money.

i am lost for words, the food, the service, the manners from the staff. the bill. the second drink that we thought why not go for it after the gorgeous meal we had all ate. gosh i am really lost for words that my party was so well looked after. a drink after work turned in to a meal turned in to total pleasure with knowing all our needs were met. thank you to all the staff. gosh, i shall so return when i can .

Hash is a lovely place. Popped in on a quiet Sunday evening. Bar staff were lovely and pleasant. Serves my favourite cider which is hard to find in other local venues! Definitely will return 😁

Nice place, good variety of food and drinks. Upstairs terrace is great.

Ordered 'Italian meatballs with melted Emmental cheese', arrived with lukewarm meatballs and a slice of cold processed cheese on it. Brought it to their attention to be told that's the way it's supposed to be! Also dropping bottles in bins, noisy and unnecessary.

Over priced for me. The thing that also grates is the poor service. Basic skills from bar staff would include noticing who is next to be served. The young staff in here are often clueless when it comes to this. I only find myself in this bar when we meet up with friends who like going to Hash...I don't much.

Came here for lunch on a summers day. We sat upstairs in the outdoor roof terrace area, and what a glorious day it was! The staff were lovely and friendly and my order came out very fast. I ordered the Chicken and Chorizo toasted sandwich and it was very flavoursome. I love coming here on a summers day and definitely recommend eating here on the roof terrace. It does get very busy at lunch time, so make sure you arrive early if you want a good seat on the roof terrace.

Downstairs can get a little busy but there's a fantastic roof terrace to hide on when things are a little cramped on the ground floor. Always end up here when I'm out with work, it's a really nice place.

Called Herr lunchtime for a light lunch and not disappointed. Good selection of paninis and sandwiches. Friendly staff and dog biscuits available for our 4 legged friends. Definitely recommend.

can't fault the fish finger sandwich always the best ever, usual-¥ get our lad to get a burger and we go half mmmmm YUM!!! wouldn't bother going anywhere else (other than hatch)

Brilliant, kind of 'out of the norm' vibe about the place. Not sure how to describe it, so just go there. Awesome food, always good beer and a cosy roof terrace (for both warm and cold weather).

We love going to this place great bacon ciabattas and the paninis are good too. Lovely and friendly staff and the atmosphere is good too.

One of the best bar's in Darlington! Very modern with a great drinks selection and staff that care. They are always busy and there is an exciting atmosphere provided by a mixture of people. They have an amazing roof terrace area which is a delight in the sun, but is covered so still accessible at night or when raining making it a real treat, especially with the lovely lighting they have out there. I highly recommend this bar, one of the few places you can get a really good pina for 2! Haha.

Regularly come here for drinks with friends as it has a really nice atmosphere and great cocktails. The burgers are very nice and portion sizes are more than enough.

Called in for drinks after cinema, quite busy with good atmosphere. Dog friendly and toilet facilities nice and clean.

Had a fab coffee and sandwich lunch with friends,service was really good, Chicken and bacon club sandwich came with fries and mixed leaves was well presented and was totally delicious, so many places get these things wrong,but it was really good...especially with the log burner keeping us all toastie warm as well !

Good breakfast, burgers/ lunch and place to go for a drink on a night too. Would definitely recommend.

Pop in here often for the great breakfast. Smoked Tabasco eggs a particular highlight. Great beers and music for later also. Also a lunch regular!!
