We went for tea at restaurant it was fantastic experience beautiful food amazing service and staff n great price this will be regular for us now I would definitely recommend the fish and chips best I have had

Absolutely fabulous fish and chips! The only thing that let's it down is the rather poor selection of drinks. Some better and more varied wines, and something a bit better than john smiths in cans isnwhat their excellent food deserves!

Best fish and chips in the area. I prefer the chicken kebab, you get plenty of meat and fresh salad. Clean place and you can dine in.

CUSTOMERS BEWARE (potentially dangerous food hygiene practices) This was the worst fish and chips of my LIFE. I’ve just spent 5 years outside the UK, and I was looking forward to nothing more than a good fish and chips. Boy was I disappointed! I ordered here on just eat (on a whim, with no prior knowledge) and the thing that arrived seemed decent (at first sight) but as soon as I put the thing in my mouth, my stomach turned. The fish tasted “off”, and felt dangerous to consume. I spat it straight out and decided not to take the risk. Next, the spam fritter. Can’t go wrong here, right? WRONG! It tasted like old cardboard. Same here- spat the thing out and didn’t even think about trying again. Note: the food STUNK. It was like it had been stored improperly or just left for days before being served. Then, lastly, the chips. They also tasted RANK. Old, horrible texture. This place is a disgrace and I would not risk it again. No doubt the owner will find a way of justifying this (as I’ve seen multiple comments from then to such criticisms, where they unapologetically defend their horrible establishment). Absolutely shameful. Expecting a nasty food poisoning in the next day or two. Will update. Photo attached: the uneaten remnants. I ate the chips because I was starving but it took a LOT of tomato sauce. UPDATE: As expected, the owner responded, and tried to claim that this was not from their establishment. False. I have the JustEat receipt to prove it and I left the same review there. You can only review once you’ve purchased. Check out the reviews over there if you’re skeptical. STAY AWAY.

I got food poisening from this place recently , and have heard others did too

I've ordered in here once and never again. Food is cooked frozen and reheated. There are other poor hygiene practices. For example, I seen the chef smoking a cigarette by the food preparation counters. Not washing hands etc. This place is vile to eat at and never again will I'll he coming here🤢🤮

management shouting at staff constantly, belittling them, upsetting them. chefs are being inappropriate to the young girls, disgusting behaviour. Puts me off going here solely because of the staff.

This is probably the busiest chippy I've ever been to. Parking is an issue due to the large customer base they have with the restaurant side of things. Quick efficient service with friendly staff, well worth a visit

An amazing chippy I've been coming to a chippy at this location since I was 17 years old. I moved away but on trips back to see family I would always come here for chips etc as I always thought it was the best in the region I'm 62 now and on a recent trip to see my now very elderly dad, we came here again. The chips, sausage, fish, curry, pies etc etc etc are still amazing, but as I haven't been to any other chip shops in the area for a long time I can't say they are still the best...... However, my 89 year old dad still says they are the 'best in the region by a country mile", so I'm not going to go against what my dad says.

I have not been to Harry's for a long time as I wasn't keen due to a previous experience. However, on Saturday, we went for fish n chips takeaway. I can honestly say the fish was lovely, cooked to perfection, and the chips were plentiful and tasty, not greasey at all. Well done Harry's

Great value for money, excellent service and the meal was lekker/ delicious. We have booked to go again for a family birthday.

Went for lunch with friends during the re-vamp promotion week. Classic British fayre....Fish , Chips and Peas, Bread and Butter and Tea. Had a large Haddock which was well cooked and tasty. Service very professional and friendly. Menu has a reasonable range of options. Soft drinks, beer and wine available for those who want them. No regrets.

Lovely meal tonight, fish was beautiful both cod and haddock, loads of chips and sides were good too.

we went because it has just reopened and have a half price offer on if you eat in. this was around £10 full price so around £5 half price. I WOULD PAY FULL PRICE AGAIN FOR THIS. i am not joking when i say i took some of the kebab home for the evening. i sempt to be eating more n more n it wasnt disappearing. you get to choose which sauce you want with it, if you want salad and if you want naan or pitta bread. was very clean and tidy. yes its just been done up but stil you can tell between each service they are cleaning the tables well. they were very polite. checked a while after receiving food if everything ok. they gave you a nice amount of time before asking so you actually got to try the food. for accessibility there is a disabled access door. i took my guide dog in and they were nice polite and accommodating they asked if the place they put us would be suitable and if he needed anything. (this should be how places work but many times places make you feel as though they have hidden you out the way with a guide dog top praise to the staff. will definitely be going again even when full price. sister had fish and chips with curry and said how nice it was. chips wernt dripping in grease the fish batter was nice and crisp and not all soggy

Visited restaurant tonight and found it a very cold experience. The young girl was very polite. But the restaurant lacks the restaurant experience . Pop served in bottles for you to open yourself with empty glasses. Food was okay. An elderly man came in and sat at the table for 10 minutes before anyone noticed him . What I would think would be better and more welcoming is waitresses actually coming to people's table and asking can I take your order instead of having to walk up to the counter . The sauces would be better if there was actual bottled and not sachet ones it's not very professional and elderly people would struggle to open them . I think this would improve your restaurant and you need to make your customers more welcoming . It feels very cold and blunt

What a truly wonderful 1st time experience at Harry's Fish Bar & Restaurant. We booked for lunch and informed the restaurant it would be a party of 9. From the outset, there was such a warm and pleasant welcome, we felt at ease straight away. Not to mention the stunning interior. Clean and modern plus very well laid out. The children were given colouring pads and crayons, and nothing was too much trouble. Friendly staff, stunning food and great value for money. The host took time out to talk with us and invited us back for the menu relaunch. The kids even got some Halloween treats at the end! This is the pinnacle of how a family restaurant should be run and we will definitely be returning in the coming weeks. Can't recommend this place enough and it's certainly worth a try. Well done guys, keep up the fantastic work!!

We used to come and eat in every month or so, now it’s once in a blue moon. We’ve seen the standards go from 5* to very disappointing. The staff used to be efficient and professional, unfortunately what was witnessed on our latest visit showed this isn’t the case anymore. You have a new starter who’s been there less than a month, to hear her undermining another colleague to another and using offensive language made us want to leave instantly! The standard of the food has dropped massively, we had the fish and chip meal deal. The size of the fish has decreased and the chips were rock hard. We used to recommend this place and enjoy coming here on a regular basis however this won’t be happening in future. You’ve lost 3 customers.

Had takeaway fish, chips and peas.. Skin on haddock freshly fried to order. Got to say that it was gorgeous. . The chips were very good, the peas were perfect. Really enjoyed it. Definitely recommend 👌

Waited 15mins after ordering for a takeaway staff totally oblivious to me waiting and served 3 people after me before I had to ask why I was still waiting for my order very disorganized staff considering shop was empty was totally unacceptable.

I live 6 mins away from this Restaurant, I placed my order at 19.45, and didn't receive it until 21.15, that's an hour an half to make 2 portions of fish n chips and a sausage, not only that but when I revived it, the chips are luke warm, the fish was mediocre quality, and the worst thing of all is how soggy the batter is on the fish, it's so wet, was very looking forward to fish and chips tonight but I'm very disappointed, maybe nicer in restaurant but delivery is a no go for me.

My annual birthday treat in the restaurant. Best Fish and chips in Doncaster. We also have deliveries quite regularly from here. Here excellent service. I highly recommend the food ,the restaurant the take away and the service. Hollie was very attentive, welcoming and helpful.

Our Seniors Friday lunch club had lunch cooked and delivered to Edenthorpe by Harry's and it went down a treat. The (large) order was delivered accurately and on time and the food arrived well-wrapped and hot. Everyone said how much they'd enjoyed it. So, thank you Harry's for making that event such a success; you earned some new well-deserved fans.

Depends on the work schedule with visiting Harry's, but when we can, we have our Friday night tea at Harry's restaurant. From going in, you are greeted with a smile,especially from Georgia and Bethany. Your drink & food don't take long to arrive at your table, and when it does, it's fresh, but it would be because of the constant stream of customers, which is good, no dried up food at Harry's. You don't have to go and pay for overpriced Fish n chips at a well known restaurant to get good quality.!!!!!! The only little moan I would have is when you're paying, you get asked if you have a loyalty card to be stamped for us absent-minded customers, but other than that spot on.

Service from Georgia was excellent, she was very friendly and helpful and the food was served extremely fast. As always, food was lovely with really good portion sizes. Easily the best chippy in the area!

I’ve had takeaways here before and was well satisfied so decided to try the restaurant side, the food was lovely, the staff are really nice. I think it was quite pricey but the restaurant was really well presented , the toilets were immaculate. I would have left 5 stars if the drinks were cheaper as we only had pop and it was nearly £20 for the drinks. Would still recommend though. My partner had a meat platter of some sort and was monstrous, I dad fish and chips and was excellent, the kids had all sorts and ate all there’s.

Whenever we have someone stay this is the place we bring them too. Julie is always welcoming and nothing is ever too much of a problem to her. We love coming here and such good value for money

A very smart interior decor x The service was excellent in fact on a level you would find in a top restaurant x The food was first class and very reasonably priced x will definitely go again , hopefully soon 😛

I think this place has gone down in recent years always different staff who have little clue what's what within the menu I recently witnessed one of the senior staff push a young girl out the way and he spoke to most staff in a rude unnecessary tone I'll be going elsewhere from now on ... To big for his boots in my opinion!!

We’ve just been to Harry’s Fish Bar and restaurant in Dunsville for lunch. The restaurant and takeaway is on the main road out of Doncaster towards Hatfield, and has off-street parking. The restaurant is lovely, very clean, bright and modern, and the staff are lovely...

Delivery was very speedy but the food was very greasy and luke warm. Very disappointed as it’s usually very good. Most of it ended up in the bin.
