Excellent once again. It is a pleasure to visit The Harewood End for Sunday lunch with family, we traveling from The Midlands and they from South Wales. An hour travel but worth it. Beautiful food and very efficient friendly staff. Excellent value. Looking forward to our next visit.

Went on Mothers Day with a large group of family. We were seated straight away, the food was delicious and the staff went above and beyond to help cater for our younger ones ( fussy eaters ). Highly recommend if your looking for somewhere good to eat.

Amazing place , so friendly & helpful , great menu , I’m gluten & dairy free they have an allergen menu , nothing was too much trouble , our daughter & son in law came with their dog , we were all made really welcome . We will definitely be back , great place you can’t fault it !

We have eaten here on numerous occasions and it has always been a lovely meal however this evening was disappointing. Waitress was argumentative, the other waitress chewed the whole time we were there. The starters were lovely but our steak meal was a little greasy. We'd ordered olives as an appetiser however they were going to arrive with the starters and we were told that's how they were served. My husband ordered mushrooms to start but was served a tart which he didn't ask for but was told that's not what he pointed at on the menu so she went by that as she didn't quite hear what he had asked for, why didn't she check?? Whilst we were finishing our drinks we felt we were in the way as they blew out candles around us and told us they were getting ready for lunch time tomorrow. Overall disappointing, we've never had a bad meal here but this time has put us off returning again.

Very nice staff and great food. Food arrived fast after ordering and easy to pay afterwards. Staff were friendly and helpful as well. They were very informative about food for people with allergies etc.

Having eaten here several times before today’s visit was very disappointing. Our starters were fine but then it was like we were completely forgotten. After 45 minutes we asked if we were going to get our mains. When they arrived they were wrong and we had to send two of them back. We asked to see the manager to give her our opinion.Unfortunately she was quite confrontational and unwilling to accept any criticism, blaming us for upsetting her waitress. We only wanted to have a nice meal but we can only assume there were some issues behind the scenes that led to the attitude. Such a shame as we had arranged for a pre Christmas catch up with family. Needless to say we won’t be returning.

Flavours of the hood was delicious! Friendly landlord & very helpful. I would recommend the Spinach , mushroom & Brie en-croute it was delicious! Also the Pulled beef brisket chilli! Would definitely visit again!

Very nice ambiance and very nice staff . Fish pie was just a lot of mash potatoes peas and carrots. Very little fish, in fact hardly any. Disappointed and not the usual standard or quality.

Very pleased to be back at The Harewood End sharing Sunday lunch with family - we from Solihull they from near Cardiff so convenient place to meet. Very enjoyable from the friendly reception through the well prepared and presented meal, pork very good, to our leaving. Excellent value for very good food. All four of us very happy. Looking forward to our next visit probably in the early New Year weather permitting!

Excellent Sunday lunch for a large group. Friendly welcome and really impressed with the service and food we received today. There was a good choice of options and everyone left happy.

This is a great place to eat. We visited two nights running whilst staying in a cottage locally and the food was of a very high quality and the service was excellent and I would definitely recommend. Very friendly and welcoming with excellent menu options and great real ales. Will return when next in the area.

Joined 11 friends to celebrate a 70th birthday for dinner. We all had exceptional meals and service. The food was of high quality ingredients, very well presented and tasted delightful. All 12 of us agreed that we had so much enjoyed the food and service we all will return collectively or singly. Thank you to the front of house, food servers and kitchen staff.

After a couple of days on holiday of poor, slow service from stressed out staff in other establishments, it was so refreshing to come here and be greeted by a young, enthusiastic team who lend this place an excellent vibe. I like the decor too - fresh and stylish whilst remaining in keeping with the old building.I requested a gluten free menu and was overjoyed to see the wide choice of meals on offer, using innovative blends of ingredients. Vegetarians and vegans would also fare well here. It was so hard to choose but I was in the mood for chilli, so opted for that. It was deliciously cooked with pulled beef and even the rice that accompanied it seemed especially good.If I lived locally, I would most definitely return.

We enjoyed a really good Sunday lunch at the Harewood End Inn. The pub felt really friendly, the staff were lovely and the food was so good!We both had the Herefordshire beef with Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes and lots of veg - parsnips, cauliflower cheese, carrots, cabbage and swede. The meat was cooked perfectly and everything was really delicious. Lots of horseradish and gravy too of course!For dessert we had lemon panna cotta with shortbread, berry coulis and raspberries and chocolate and hazelnut brownie with warm chocolate sauce, vanilla ice cream and strawberry. Stayed here for a couple of nights and found it to be a little gem. Had everything that was needed in the room. The host, hostess and all the staff make this a very enjoyable place to stay. We have just returned from a 3 night mini break at the Harewood End Inn, very convenient for exploring the beautiful Hereford countryside. The owners Dan and Nicki and all their staff ensured a relaxed and enjoyable stay throughout. Our double room was nicely decorated, very comfortable and tea/coffee replenished daily (which was very welcome after our long walk each day). The breakfasts are freshly cooked to order, full English is very generous portions, special requests are not a problem at all and I’d recommend Dan’s mushroom omelette! Breakfast service is extremely well run and efficient. For evening meals there is a lot of choice and everything we had during our stay was very good quality, all cooked really well and delicious fresh ingredients, steak was cooked perfectly, chicken curry was delicious and burger night proved a success with a variety of options for tasty burgers, toppings, sides etc, very good value. If you are staying anywhere near Hereford we would definitely recommend The Harewood End and we hope to visit again when we are next in the area.

Great food, great service and a well deserved good reputation. Excellent starters and specials, very good selection of mains (ones we had tasted great), good kids meal selection (mac&cheese was a favourite with ours) and sublime Creme brûlée. Very accessible pub to travel to if you’re visiting Ross on Wye for the day (or holiday) and close also to symonds yat rock. If you’re reading this and are undecided, we would go so far as to say that it was one of the best pub meals we’ve had for a very long time.

We can’t thank the owner of The Harewood End enough for his kind hospitality! We had broken down and we needed to wait about 4 hours for a breakdown recovery so we had a meal and drinks here. Firstly I was very pleased to find they had vegan options for me plus oat milk for my coffee. The food was absolutely delicious, we had the vegan burger and Harewood burger. Secondly we were allowed to wait in the inn and gardens while we waited for our breakdown even when it closed at 3pm. Thank you for a lovely dining experience and for your friendly hospitality! Would definitely recommend! A beautiful setting, friendly welcoming atmosphere and a varied and delicious menu.

It can be hard to choose or find somewhere to take your family to eat in an area you’re new to - if your in Ross on Wye - The Harewood End Inn is a damn good bet - it was absolutely faultless when we ate there tonight, the ale was good, the staff were all friendly and welcoming, the setting was clean and comfortable, and all four of us had superb quality meals - good portions, steak cooked perfectly, fish tasted super fresh with perfect batter, even the side salad was a class above other restaurants - definitely a little gem which is good value for money - just wish it could be my local!

We booked a night for a group of 6 for one night of luxury after a camping in wye. We started in the gorgeous mature beer garden where we were greeted by the owners with Champaign on ice for a special occasion. The whole place is newly refurbed and just charming. Our friends stayed above the pub and gushed over the size of the beds! My husband and I stayed in the self contained new garden room which is stunning and we were able to wake up, make coffee and sit in the garden (I took full advantage of the massive rain style shower after 3 nights camping!). We stayed for a 3 course meal (highly recommend the Boursin pancetta wrapped chicken and mushroom bruschetta) and a full breakfast which were all top notch as was the service. We needed pointers for our last day for which the owners helped us with local recommendations and reservations. Might be slightly jaded coming from London but the price vs. Experience and quality was incredible.

Visited for my 40th birthday and we stayed in the new remodelled garden villa which was amazing! The atmosphere was the perfect blend of country local pub with a class element we weren’t used to from London. The service and food was exceptional and when they found out it was my birthday they bent over backwards to make it truly a memorable experience. We will be back every year if we can. The service was second to none and well worth the trip while being so close to such a beautiful place in the world.

We visited the harewood for an evening meal the food was outstanding, I had the hake my wife had the steak my sister had chicken and my brother in law had the gammon all the plates were clear, and dessert was equally as brilliant, we left full satisfied and completely happy, lovely staff warm welcome good service thank you.

Wonderful time in this cosy, friendly and vegan friendly inn. They couldn't do enough for us and assisted with our difficulties which were self inflicte and included needing packed lunched and my charger packing up. Room 5 is lovely! Watch out for the odd low door frame and the TV doesn't support movies on usb. Lovely stay here while using Oldfield forge, and will deffo be back if we get to return!

We were staying nearby and booked for dinner, the two of us and our dog. Brilliant service from arrival, so welcoming, water for the dog and really good hospitality. The food was amazing and a great selection with a good menu and specials. Ended up being tempted enough to have 3 courses. After issues getting a taxi back the team at the pub went above and beyond to make sure we got back to our accommodation safely. You won’t regret a visit here .
