Best duck I've had in a long time.

Food was ok. I asked for dessert so I was moved to a separate table and never got served. There’s like a harem of old ladies that run the place and have no idea how a restaurant works. But they hire all the local high schoolers to do their bidding. This place sucks

Fun place, good service. Wish the food was better. It's good, not great. I had the clam chowder twice. First time it was very good. Second time it was not.

The Hare and Hound has friendly and helpful servers. The food has always tasted delicious. Their menu has a variety of items to please most anyone. The grilled chicken salad I ate had fresh mixed greens, cucumbers, tomatoes, delicious grilled chicken, and shredded cheese. It also comes with onions if you like. My family and I have enjoyed each item we have eaten there in the past couple of years.

Darryl was amazing, we took our Families down while they visited for our 5yr olds birhday and he was nothing but great. We will definitely be back

I drove by there was standing room only so something was happening awesome guy's everyone is going there to eat great food 😋 I hear I live 20 miles from there and there wait time must mean great food so do I need to say more go see u will love it very nice little town lot's of things to do make it happen

Everything was fried and over-breaded. However, the service and the atmosphere were very good.

A true Irish Pub in Landrum, SC.!! We all had different entrees, and the food .. along with the waiter that was fabulous. I would highly recommend this establishment. Fun atmosphere, a busy bar, restaurant and great wait staff! If on i-85 or i-26, give them a try. It was great!

What a wonderful time to celebrate a St Patrick's day with a birthday. We had wonderful Irish food and great service, though so busy. The wait was worth it. They took care of all our needs including singing Happy Birthday to my husband. One of our favorite places to eat.

Great Place. Great Staff. I'm particular about my calamari, and I must say the fried calamari was EXCELLENT. Definitely recommend and plan to return. 👍👍👍

Our appetizer was the frog legs & they were so good. I had pecan crusted NC trout & it was delicious. It came with mashed potatoes & steamed mixed vegetables that were cooked to perfection, not overdone like most places. Key lime pie was amazing. The service was above & beyond. Very nice experience.

Wife is gluten-free so usually can only order twice baked potato - would be nice if they had chives, but all else is great.

It's our go-to,meeting friends halfway. Food is dependable and delicious. No Guinness this time. But there was a good substitute. The service was the worst it's ever been. We waited close to an hour, no biggie. But the server was rushed. We watched another one working the same area and they offered much better service. The busboys were terrible. If it weren't for the friends and the food, I wouldn't be back for a while.

Have been several times and the food is consistently better than what you would expect from a smaller restaurant. Usually busy but the service is always great. Good drink selection. Great date night idea

Great food decent prices in nice little town.

Nice place. Probably the best pub-esque atmosphere in the Upstate that I have found. Food was good. The Guinness steak pie, though, is not actually a pie. It’s a bowl of Guinness steak stew. Very tasty, but not a pie if it doesn’t have a crust, which it doesn’t.

Overall it was a good dinner with great friends! The fried cheesecake at the end was delicious!

Varied menu with great tasting food!!

The food has never disappointed. I only get to go orders so I can't speak much of the atmosphere except it's always crowded. Grilled chicken plate and grilled chicken salad with spicy ranch is the absolute best!

This is a really good, homey restaurant.. There are vegetarian options. I got the beyond pimento cheese burger, and it was very good. The fries were also excellent! You get a free apitizer of popcorn. It had a long wait but was well worth it, and the staff is really nice. We come every time we go to landrum.

The smothered porkchop was delicious! I usually get the pimento cheeseburger which is fabulous too. We went on NYE and sat on the patio and it was so comfy and our server was so wonderful, she was very sweet and thorough. She didn't let us go without anything and was loving to my son. I wish I would have gotten her name. Love TH&TH evey time we go to Landrum or Tryon!

Had a call in a 2club plates and a cheese burger plate and that place was packed and we still got our food pretty quick and it was still hot when I got it home

We've been enjoyin' the Hare & Hound for the past 10 yrs. We've never had a bad meal. We stopped there today and had an A-mazin' server - Josh B from Miami. He was super and could tell he is seasoned and enjoys his job. He's like a Ninja. We were well taken care of and without us even noticing! Thanks Josh!

A must stop for lunch!!! I am sure dinner is just as delicious. Sitting next to the freshly piping popcorn machine made limiting to just one serving hard. But I am glad I did. The pot pie is home made, filling with fresh ingredients. The sweet tea was, not too sweet, just right. I am looking forward to the next visit.

Do yourself a favor and order the Honey Child. Trust me!!! This is the best chicken salad sandwich I have ever had!!! The do honey in their chicken salad and slivers of almonds layers on the croissant. We split the honey child and the chicken pot pie. The pot pie was good. But we ordered 2 of those sandwiches to take with us for later. It was THAT good. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great too. And I believe they had someone who’s only job was popping the fresh popcorn!

This is one of the best places to eat in the Upstate. I’ve tried several different dishes and I’ve never been disappointed.

I've never had a bad experience here

We wanted an outing, so we drove up to landrum for lunch! This was the most enjoyable lunch we had in a long time the hostess was super so was the meal!

I have been going to the Hare & Hound for years. Family, friends come into town, 1st place we take. Today was NOT a good day. I had a bowl of soup and grilled cheese for lunch. Soup was not hot at all, bowl was too hot to touch. Grilled cheese sandwich, cheese was burnt inside the bread. I told the waitress and she offered to take it back and microwave the soup. She had no answer for the grilled cheese. So disappointed. A friend of mine was with me. Her soup same, her burger overcooked and dry. I'm really hoping it was an off day.

Drove up from Simpsonville, great food, bar tender was awesome, and the setting was perfect. We'll be back soon!

Large group, great service, food was good, overall very pleased

Visited our second time today. Our service was top notch thanks to Brian. He suggested some favorites and was spot on. We had the Guinness Beef Pie and Chicken Pot Pie and finished off with warm rhubarb pie. If you haven't had rhubarb you must try theirs! The oysters are also quite yummy. This is a definite visit when in Landrum.

Great Pub style eatery in the heart of downtown Landrum, SC. Generous portions are sure to fill you up and leave you satisfied. The food is delicious and served hot and fresh. I would highly recommend the Guinness Beef Pie if you go. Servers are friendly and the atmosphere is great. Try the quiche of the day. Served with a side salad of delicious greens, cherry tomatoes, red onion, cucumber and crispy croutons. Very good.

The restaurant was busy upon arrival and we were seated without delay. The atmosphere is charming and meals (patty melt, chicken tenders) were delicious. The star of our visit was not the decor or edibles, but our server, Conner. One would be hard-pressed to find such a delightful, friendly and articulate young man to match those of Conner. He allowed us the time needed to peruse the menu and came for our order as soon as our decision was made. Drinks and (complimentary) popcorn were refilled without request. His fine service skills continued through the meal. Thank you, Conner, and The Hare and Hound for an outstanding experience.

Awesome Irish pub in downtown! Food was fantastic and our server was phenomenal! Had the wedge salad and the fish and chips and they were both delicious.

This was our first time eating here. While the setting and area in which the restaurants resides is really pretty and quaint, the overall experience was really lacking to say the least. Look, I understand that every place can have “off nights” but this was unfortunately a really poor first impression. Our waitress who was an older woman was all over the place during our entire meal. We had to catch her because she didn’t take drink orders of everyone at the table, she would disappear for 10-15 min at a time, delivered our appetizer (spinach dip) right before bringing out the main dishes and was overall just not someone who made us feel comfortable. Once the food arrived we soon discovered that it was also incredibly average. The fish/chips was decent but the spinach dip was incredibly bland and needed salt. The chicken tenders were gristly/appeared to have been fried in older grease and the grilled vegetables were slimey and had an overwhelming flavor of garlic. Suffice to say it made a horrible impression and we won’t bother going back.

We have come here quite a few times and it is exceptional. Our friends said to us today "we like it here" and that reflects our thoughts. It is a nice atmosphere - the staff and landlady give really attentive service and are friendly and efficient. The food came in a reasonable time and was of very high quality. The crispy slow cooked pork belly, is a speciality and delicious - the fish and chips are really good. The portion sizes are generous. The beers are at a good temperature especially the Old Ale. So fully recommend

Went to Hare and Hound based of recommendations. Really nice local place and with a great atmosphere. The best burger I’ve ever had and Lance was very knowledgeable, helpful, and attentive. We will be back for dinner to try some of those offerings too.

Really delicious food. They get busy so expect a long wait at times. We ate upstairs and waited about an hour after we sat down to get our food. There's a nice ambience and view from upstairs.

The Hen House Burger with a fried egg was delicious, thick cut bacon was a key! And the sweet potato fries were cooked perfectly.

Nice people , typical 'Pub' atmosphere , but the food was Absolutely Nothing special . We got the BLT and the Fish and Chips . I could have made a much better BLT at home blindfolded . As for the Fish & Chips , the fish itself tasted almost rancid and was the thinnest filets ive ever seen .Also , the price/portion ratio was way off . But i guess smaller portions mean less food to throw away .
