Happy Cafe in North Lincolnshire

I had the large brekky and it was probably one off the best IV had in a long time very fresh food great service very polite people 100% recommended Thank you too happy cafe for the great service.

We’ve been to the Happy Cafe at Santoft Airfield for coffee and bacon rolls this morning. This busy little cafe is popular with locals who enjoy a good breakfast or sweet treat with their coffee at keen prices. There is bright conservatory overlooking the airfield where you can watch the light aircraft taking off and landing, and plenty of alternative seating both inside and out - all we need is a bit of sunshine to enjoy the outdoors space! The cafe is open every day from 10am - you can be sure of a warm welcome here!

Fabulous little cafe. Delicious food, fast service and added extra bonus if you like planes you can watch those outside on the Airfield.

Only one fault, my breakfast was served on a cold plate ,which I hate hot food should be served on a hot plate , which was a shame as everything else was spot on .

Great service and the food is delicious. Good portions and value for your money. If you have kids there is a large play area and for the bigger kid you can watch the planes come in for landing.

At first thought little expensive. Now not at all I don't need another meal today. Produce was amazing staff really nice. Keep the good work up any Ile definitely be back

Nice food shame the tomatoes were not very nice, fresh would have been better they looked and tasted like the canned tomatoes you use for making spagetti sauce.

Change of location for a Monthly meet up, with former work colleagues. The Happy Cafe didn't disappoint, breakfast was lovely, hot and very tasty and the staff were very attentive and pleasant too... Would highly recommend. A good viewing area, for Sandtoft Airfield, watched a couple of planes taking off and landing.

Been numerous times for the simply Mustang car meets,food and coffee excellent and great service and venue 👍

We’ve been here quite a few times now, to grab a coffee and a bite to eat while we watch the planes. Staff are always really friendly and welcoming. The food is great. Nice choice for a small cafe, and everything has been fantastic. Coffee really good. Small outdoor playground for kids and an outdoor seating area when it’s warmer! Toilets are always clean too. Full marks.

Was across the road at a breakers yard so it seemed rude not too . Nice and clean , food was great too . Added extra it's next to the airfield .

A fairly simple café in style with a modest menu, but not all of it the 'all-day-breakfast' type of food. They also offered a beef chilli and a chicken curry, both homemade, as well as fish and chips. The portion size was quite good, the food piping hot, the prices fair and the service very good. The style is that of order and pay at the counter, but be served at the table. We arrived by air, so can't say that we will visit again, but I would recommend them for a lunch.

A lovely place to watch the world go by and to watch the airplanes and helicopters. Great food and a nice little park for the kids too

Friendly staff & speedy service- nice chip butty with coffee and cake. Enjoyed backdrop of planes landing on airstrip nearby and perfect spot to leave my roadbike safely within sight.

I visited the Happy Cafe yesterday after hearing some great reviews and I was not disappointed.  Excellent service and delicious food at very reasonable prices. This was a  feed stop on a 100 mile cycle ride and opted for the sausage butty followed by the fudge waffle!! A couple of lattes later and I was good to go. Will visit again and recommended cafe stop. Easy access and family friendly too. Many thanks.

Basic cafe offering basic food...not too bad, but the eating area is basic and noise bounces off the walls...

Best cooked breakfast we’ve had in a long time, service was fast considering how busy it was, polite and approachable staff. My 2 year old is airplane obsessed so loved watching them landing as we ate. The little outdoor park is a nice touch as well. Plenty of parking. Will be visiting again soon , thank you 😊

UNFORTUNATELY ON OUR VISIT YESTERDAY WHICH WAS THE 4th time we have been , The food was not up to their usual stranded Our bacon was under done our eggs were snotty, Our coffee was just awful, It was I believe made by the Saturday staff who can not make a nice cup of coffee, We left when we were done no acknowledgement was made no thank you by for now or anything So that’s our last visit Manners cost nothing , I think the two girls were to busy talking to each other to care who was coming or going training wouldn’t go a miss ? Was the first time on a Saturday, Best avoid SATURDAYs. ??????

Queuing far to long just for a coffee, i understand it was very busy but should be a better system for drinks.

Our first visit there today at the classics at the cafe car meet. So peaceful and tranquil. Cafe amazingly clean and bright. Staff absolutely superb. Food equally as good. Cheeseburger and chips, chip butty, cappucino and a bottle of water...£10. Nice. Sat watching the planes take off and land. Definitely an 11 out of 10! Will visit again soon.

Lovely, friendly little café. Popular with motorbikes so gets the thumbs up from me! 👊✊👊✊ Pleasant, helpful staff with good attitude. The big pull of this lil caff is it is by the airstrip so you can watch the planes taking off. Just that bit different. The seating area outside has a grand view of the aerial proceedings, recommended. Lovely big sandwich in a bun. Milkshakes, lovely big pot of tea. I will revisit.

We didn't go in on our last visit when flying, but this was a nice place to watch the flying from on our last visit..

Totally disorganised for large groups, I'd find alternatives if I was you, food was fine when it finally turned up, but it took an hour for beans on toast!

Poached egg on toast , cup of tea and watch the aircraft going round. Brilliant.

Had a great time here this afternoon with our little one's. Used to go lots before covid, however this was our first trip back this year. We cycled there and it was actually past closing time when we arrived, however the owner was lovely and opened up for us to get drinks and ice cream. Kids really enjoyed watching the planes and playing on the playground. Would definitely recommend!

Edited Sept 2020: just thought I'd update my review post Covid. The Covid measures in place are robust & staff are conscientious. The tables are well spaced - it is also well aired with open doors & windows, and there are also lots of outdoor tables. I felt very safe here. I often fly into Sandtoft airfield solely to visit this cafe and I'm delighted it has re-opened. It really is lovely, serving honest home-made food. No pretentions - for the type of place it is it is definitely five stars and the top of its game in that ilk. Extremely family friendly and a lovely place to go with children. Right next to the airfield you can even watch planes and helicopters come in and take off from time to time

Covid secure café, next to the runway at Sandtoft Airfield. Plenty of parking, on hardstanding or grass. The café was very clean, with a one-way system in place. Menu was good for a small café, and the staff efficient and friendly. Play area for children, and there was some airside activity. A good place to visit and eat at a very reasonable cost.

Very friendly staff, who were very welcoming & the cafè was very clean & tidy, I was completely accepted for my Epilepsy which places in the past have discriminated me for which is completely wrong! Very impressed with the service & layout of the cafè.

Visited the Happy Cafe today, enjoyed a lovely coffee and a yummy waffle, shame it was a very wet day, so there was no flying to watch.

Nice little airport cafe, good range of fairly priced food including puddings. Sat right by the apron so easily accessible unlike some aerodrome facilities.

This is a lovely, honest, airfield cafe doing basic food extremely well and should be judged as such, it isn't fine dining and isn't pretending to be, it seems as if a recent scathing reviewer expects fine dining produce for cafe prices. Well I regularly do fine dining but I also fly here regularly for one of their fantastic bacon butties or delicious traditional breakfasts. It's a perfect place for kids too as there's a soft play area and outdoor play area - on top of which there is usually something flying around for them to watch. Lovely people, service always with a huge smile. Very clean and great value for money - oh and proper coffee! I will be back!

My plate of scrambled eggs came with a surprise - a hair ! The lady was generous enough to make me a new dish - but I was put off 🤐

Good food, good prices and nice service.

Arrived just after remembrance, the place was packed and the queue to be served was out of the door, after a very slow few minutes of orders being taken everything kicked into gear and the food came out so fast. Everyone had ordered different things but it didn't seem to matter the speed of delivery was very impressive and very tasty. We've seen much bigger establishments with more staff take more than twice as long to provide less palatable food. Excellent stop over every time.
