good place if you are searching for unlimited korean bbq with fair price

Mine and my friends’ stomaches hurt after this restaurant. The dishes are not the best, don’t look appealing too. Would not recommend to anyone.

Had the grill at the table. Price for All you can eat - 23 + for 1 more you can also order all ready-made dishes in unlimited quantities. The seafood was great, but unfortunately we didn't like the taste of the meat. Sauces were nothing special. The finished dishes were good but nothing special. If you are very hungry you will be satisfied, if you want high quality food you might be disappointed. The waitress was only on her own, but she could have asked more often if everything was OK or if there was anything else she wanted.

The name of the restaurant directed in the maps is different. The name is Gangnamn korean restaurant, so we were a bit confused if it was the restaurant. We were soo hungry and was too cold outside so we just went inside and ordered. We had the meat grill buffet. The quality of the meat were good. It was soft and chewy. The ambience of the place wasn't very superb as well as the service because there was only 1 staff serving for the whole resto.

This is the first and the only review I had on Google. I was attracted by the Korean BBQ advertise on Google, but all the food they served can be named as fake Korean BBQ. The meat and sauces were extremely disappointed, they were not the ones you usually get in any Korean restaurant. The lettuce on the menu came up with cabbage. Even worse, my friend vomited after arriving home. Please don't go!

Great food if you like Korean BBQ - recommend the pork, chicken and squid!

Went a few weeks back with a few friend for the all you can eat experience. The food was mediocre. We ordered some prawns which came undercook. The meats for the BBQ were either weird in texture or didn't really have a nice taste. The rice cakes, noodles and tofu was delicious. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. One thing that also bothered me is their poor ventilation system. My clothes smelled like friend food for a few days after our visit. For £25 you can get a better meal somewhere else.

I really enjoyed it, first time in Korean bbq place so it was interesting and nice, my husband laughed that I would chose a place where you have to cook while you're eating out 🤣 great experience.

I’m sorry but it is definitely not a Korean restaurant. Service is good but all of the dishes we ordered didn’t really taste like Korean at all. (Pork, beef, glass noodle)

Nice food,cooked fresh and you cook your own buffet Korean food which is unusual but good.Excellent service from staff and her small son.

Was pretty quiet when we got in, I think they'd just opened. However the staff was really nice to us throughout. They will even laugh at your jokes, if you ain't funny like me. The food was ok, we had the buffet. Wasn't anything to particularly write home about, we had the spicy wings, smelled great but there was literally no flavour to them. Dumplings again were OK. The best thing we had was the bbq ribs, now I could write home about those ribs. The main reason I gave this a 4 was mainly to do with how great the staff are. If it was purely based on food, 2ould probably be a 3.

10/10 food, great value for money. Staff are lovely and food is S.T.U.N.N.I.N.G! I ate so good, I had to unbuckle the belt. Will be back again. 🤩

The food is expensive. The food served was unpleasant. This is more of like a Chinese restaurant than a Korean restaurant. I would not recommend this place to eat at all!

An ok grade meat for the korean barbeque. But the shrimp and squid is very good. Chicken very very very salty, pork ok, beef underwhelming. The dishes that are not barbeque are good, except the ribs (dry and hard).

A lovely family run business with a fairly wide selection of food offered to customers. Normally it would be buffet style but sue to covid restrictions, we chose off of a Chinese and Korean mix "menu" and our selections brought to the table. The owner/waitress was really accommodating and friendly!

Esta es una cena coreana auténtica muy informal. El personal era amable y eficiente, la comida era excelente y la relación calidad-precio. No es un buen comedor pero es muy divertido. Tuve langostino tempura tan bueno como cualquier otro que he tenido, luego la barbacoa, que era muy bueno. Mucha gente coreana comiendo, lo cual siempre es una buena señal. Nosotros. Todos disfrutamos de nuestra noche.

There are better Korean restaurants in Edinburgh. Very small variety of vegetables, slow refill of bbq sides and staff not particularly experienced.

The food was terrible. It is not a real Korea food. Beef was frozen on table. Food is lower quality. 3 people for £90 it was not worth of the money.

The hot pot the first time i went was great. Presentation and food was great. Second time i went, We had korean barbeque and it was terrible... The meat was alright, but what really disappointed us was the spicy hot pot package which cost £30. Inside that was nissan noodles you can buy from a chinese cash and carry for less than £1, spam ham, hog dog sausages and poor quality bean curd. Ridiculous. I've read the reviews in the past and of course the unlimited korean barbeque was not there anymore. The people serving are nice and friendly, but the language barrier is a huge wall. Their situational awareness is also very poor. Not once have they walked up to us to see how we're doing, even when we are looking at them signaling we need something. This place is just far too expensive for korean barbeque, I can't recommend this. The hot pot is the best thing about them as it requires them to serve literally one thing and walk away.

Lots of fun cooking your own meat in the middle of the table. Slows down eating and creates a fantastic icebreaker to get the conversation going.

Came here for table of 5 on 18/01/20. Place is run by mainland Chinese people. Restaurant looked nice and clean. We had to ask the waiters several times to be served which wasn’t good. Our water was “forgotten about” as well. We ordered the meats for the Korean BBQ which was quite good. However, on the other hand we ordered the “spicy sausage stew with rice” was a joke. £30 for a pre-made hotpot for ingredients which I had exactly at home and could’ve had!! Overall service is a shambles. Left disappointed and definitely will not be back. Avoid unless you want to get ripped off with cheap instant noodles and cheap meat for the hotpot. Go to other hotpot establishments instead

Best restaurant I’ve ever been, we came all the way down from london. Excellent service. We didn’t have to wait long for the food. The seafood is so fresh and delicious.

Fresh seafood hot pot you don't want to miss!

Tasty BBQ and choice of other dishes. Good for lunch, BBQ required 2 or more diners. Lovely big noodle soups and stir fried dishes. Friendly, efficient staff and good food.

Es Navidad y el único lugar abierto a las 3 de la madrugada del día de Navidad era este lugar.Bueno, la sopa de carne picante con arroz estaba bien, Bibimbap vino sin salsa y tenemos que pedirlo, el chuletón de barbacoa estaba congelado y seco, el banchan era solo piña y frijoles, la mayoría de los restaurantes coreanos en los que he estado al menos lo harán. y Kimchi, digamos que Mis antojos no se arreglan, probarán otro lugar de barbacoa coreana mañana.

Went for lunch with my son who wanted the experience but should have known when we were the omly customers. Overall the food was not great. Enough said.!!!

Our food came during the expected window, was hot and very tasty, but missing some spring rolls that were ordered. The restaurant decided to replace said spring rolls with extra rice for some reason. I called the restaurant, and after some back and forth, they agreed to send the missing spring rolls. Would definitely recommend for the food quality, but was left a little disappointed by the reluctance to fulfil our full order.

Fun for a group and cooking your own meat is a great leisurely way to eat. Staff were friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed for something different. Will certainly return.

The service was very slow even though it was almost empty. My main course and rice arrived then about 10 minutes later my husband's main course arrive without the rice. Then my daughter's meal arrived and a few minutes later my husband's rice. It took over 15 minutes from my meal being served to the complete order being served. I think this is completely unacceptable. The staff were nice but didn't seem to understand English very well so it was difficult to explain why we were not happy. Don't think I would go back although the food was fine.

It's got all the Korean dishes I used to eat during my time living in China, and funnily enough it's run by Chinese people! Recommended.

So good!! I love that they provide the meat but you can cook it to your own tastes. Wonderful staff! My first Korean BBQ experience and I was so pleased! Although I don't think it's great for solo travelers such as myself 😅

Ordered chicken Teriyaki and boiled rice... where to start. You could tell the chicken had been frozen and was not fresh, maybe not even safe to eat. It was like eating mush and there was a weird wet chewy sound when I ate it. No flavour what so ever. The boiled rice was overcooked so they didn't even get that right. Took 1 bite and didn't even finish 1 bit of chicken.

Ordered from here on just eat and received raw chicken from them, staff are extremely rude and don’t speak English. Place has only just opened but should be shut down. Owner of the place doesn’t speak a word of English and has no sort professionalisms. Don’t waste your money.

And the staff is so friendly and lovely, i think im inlove.. joke im a girl. 😆 but you will feel so welcome, even the coldest of hearts will warm a little. 👏✌ i just ate from one of the most popular restaurants in the UK the other day and guess what, they all look so grumpy with a life long problem that they couldnt solve up to now. They dont smile at all that i thought maybe thats the requirement on getting hired in their restaurant. I came in the UK to have a good time and their bad aura is rubbing off on me. This one is the complete and total opposite. I love everything about this restaurant. Will recommend this to everyine who will come in the UK.

Nice food! You get a choice of steamboat, steampot and Korean grill BBQ. The table for each type of meal is set up differently so each table can only choose one though. Range of food for steampot was great! Plenty of razor clams and prawns, even whole sea bass. Service was excellent. Attentive and personable. Highly recommended!

Desilusión completa:Tuvimos la "barbacoa coreana" que no era fresca y costosa por lo que te daban (19. 90 por persona por su "fuente de mariscos": grandes trozos de salmón congelado, calamares masticables, mejillones que no estaban frescos y 6 gambas pequeñas) También pedimos una porción de la "costilla de buey" que claramente no era costilla, sino trozos de ternera duros y masticables.También pedimos tempura king gambas que resultó no ser tempura batter, se sirve gambas maltratadas que se esperaría de una comida para llevar, no es divertido, ya que la imagen en el menú muestra claramente TEMPURA king gambas.Es malo que este restaurante no sirva lo que dicen en sus menús y te sientas engañado.Hay muchos restaurantes asiáticos en Edimburgo, y si quieres una auténtica comida coreana, te recomendaría Kim's Mini Meals o Sodaeng.No tengo ningún problema con los chinos que manejan un "restaurante coreano", pero esperaría que al menos proporcionen una mejor experiencia culinaria. La camarera fue muy amable y educada, pero desafortunadamente esto no distrajo el hecho de que la comida era inferior a la media. The staff is very gentle, but the food was not acceptable. I ordered squid and I doubt my dish had any squid in it!

The first time I visited the restaurant, I left really disappointed, however, when I went there a second time, it was really delicious! I recommend trying the eel with rice-amazing!

We got a bit lost on the way to our hotel. Accidental spot a Korean restaurant and it's a little surprised/pleasant visit. We tried the seafood hot pot instead of the classic Korean BBQ. Its massive for two of us and we enjoyed the morning rice milk as well.

Went for lunch on Sunday. We were the only customers, but it didn't feel awkward at all. The food was delicious. Would definitely come back next time I'm in Edinburgh.

Steamed hot pot is nice without too much smell. I particularly like the steamed fish. BBQ is too expensive (not buffet). We spend 23 pounds per person but still feel it is not enough at all. Not recommend BBQ seafood (it is fresh but the portion is quite limited).

First time of eating Korean food and really enjoyed it. Was really encouraged when walking in to see about 4 tables with Asians. I had a few things from the set menu. The food was across between Japanese and Chinese. Really loved the sea food pancake starter and the Eel main.

The staff were very friendly and helpful in explaining how best to cook the food, which tasted great.

Really friendly staff who were happy to talk us through what to do, and very helpful and polite. With the grill you're cooking and seasoning the meat yourself, but the gzoya were great and perfectly cooked. Would recommend this place for authentic Korean food and a very busy atmosphere!

The soup taste like a water with spicy paprika. Awful. zero spices. the chef has to go to decent restaurants to get to know what a real soup means. there's no more coming back.

Really nice place, good food, generous portions, nice staff, decent value. Definitely the best Asian restaurant in the area (the only Korean). I read some mixed reviews from about a year back, I hadn’t been then but the place has been refurbished and is certainly very nice now.

Lovely food they served with the idea for family gathering and friends where you can barbecue yourself (that I have previously tried amazingly) and also a buffet style for seafood steaming (that is so healthy and fresh) at only 19.80 per person with bottomless drinks at 2.80. Besides, the staffs are really helpful and friendly as it was the first time we have this seafood eaten in a steam pot with broth underneath that eventually becomes seafood broth after all the steaming. Definitely a right place for seafood if you’re a seafood lover. 😉
