An absolute gem of a restaurant. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Made to feel at home as soon as we arrived. There is a good selection of dishes that cater for all tastes. The food was perfectly cooked and tasted amazing. Overall experience was 100% positive. Well worth a try.

Excellent food and service and reasonably priced. Great location for nearby attractions. Highly recommneded.

This place is an absolute mess. Positives first: Starters were good. Thats about it. Cons: * way too loud music, gave us attitude when we asked them to turn it down even though the restaurant was basically empty * ordered alcahol free guiness, brought one with alcohol, were out of the alcoholfree Guiness, ordered Becks without instead. The bill still had normal guinness on it, claimed it was the same price as a small bottle of alcoholfree beer. Blamed it on the fact that the manager doesnt drink alcohol. * Lamb was way overcooked and uneatable. thankfully removed from the bill. * Forgot about a glass of whisky ordered. * no wine etiquette whatsoever. stay away. Plenty of available tables on a friday evening with good reason.

En avril nous avions découvert ce restaurant et avions adoré. Nous avons donc de nouveau réservé et c’est toujours aussi succulent et excellent. Le service est impeccable et rapide. Les plats succulents. Le cadre est très beau. Tout est parfait pour ceux qui aiment une cuisine savoureuse et authentique de cette région du monde.

After realising last minute we hadn’t booked a table to eat and it being the Edinburgh Military Tattoo.. we had given up hope of eating. We came across this place offering Kurdish cuisine which is out of our norm - not food we would ever usually eat as we are boring, picky eaters who tend to stick to basic pub grub. The prices also looked on the high side but we agreed that was a given for being situated where it was. We saw some empty tables and hoped for the best, expected the worst (either no tables, or a table and not enjoying the meal due to no awareness of the cuisine). We were greeted warmly, and sat at the lovely booth in the front of the restaurant. We did have to ask for menus after a while of being sat but that is forgivable given the lovely manner in which we were treat from then on.. Orders were taken promptly, drinks brought out shortly after. Food arrived within 15 minutes and piping hot. Food was absolutely gorgeous - we are all still so, so blown away. Even my dad, who finds something to complain about anywhere he goes whatever he eats, had nothing but good things to say. The manager was so friendly, helpful and kind and made our experience fabulous. My auntie spilt her wine and the manager topped her glass up for free. We ordered a white wine spritzer and usually the spritzer is around £3-4 but he only charged us £1. He cleaned up after us (sorry!), checked on us regularly and was just so warm. We were made to feel so welcome despite all being grumpy from hunger, myself from having been unwell all of my holiday and having no appetite, and stressed about being in a restaurant ordering food we had never tried. But we had an amazing experience and we couldn’t recommend you enough! I would like to apologise again to the staff / chef I offended due to having only picked at my Hummus and bread - it was actually the nicest Hummus I’ve ever eaten but I was recovering from a nasty tummy bug and could only manage small mouthfuls of anything. If I had a bag on me I would have asked to box it up and take it away! Thank you so much for a truly wonderful experience and we will be sure to come back next year.

It’s always difficult to find a good restaurant for lunch in Edinburgh during the fringe. Four of us walked into this one because it was convenient and there were plenty of tables available - it was full soon after. The food was excellent. Efficient and friendly service with very reasonable prices. Shall definitely going back.

Varied menu in a spacious restaurant. Spicy and tasty items. Catered well for vegetarian and gluten-free members of our party of 8. Unhurried but efficient despite being very busy (we came fairly early in the evening). Middle Eastern food is obviously the speciality but all styles were well done. A tad fusion at times. Good but not excessive portions. Very friendly and pleasant service.

Had a fabulous lamb lunch on the terrace yesterday. The portions were large. My husband had the slow-cooked lamb with rice, which was moist and tender. I had the delicious lamb shawarma with the best chips we’ve had in 2 weeks of traveling through Ireland and Scotland! Our waiter was friendly and attentive. The service was efficient but not rushed. Highly recommend!

We were recommended Hanam’s on our recent trip to Edinburgh and we were not disappointed! Fantastic food and the service was great. The lady who served us was a delight.

Went here for a cool drink as the weather was terrific, I ordered a bottle of beer my wife wanted the Soho Juice but we were told it wasn't on that day so she had Coudy lemonade our friend had a coke, total price came to £14:50, could not believe it was £5:50 for a small bottle of beer and £4:50 for the cloudy lemonade and the same price for the coke, I don't mind paying a bit extra but this is daylight robbery.

Food average, very overpriced for what you get, £17 for 5 prawns no rice or salad, you pay for that separate!! Still felt hungry after paying £40 a head. Definitely won't go back.

Out with friends for a Saturday evening and decided to try this restaurant. Two of our party had never had Middle Eastern food before so were keen to try it out. The food in this place was absolutely first class. We had three starters which we shared, the houmous with lamb and the feta dish were amazing accompanied by the lightest, most delicious flatbreads. The main courses were equally good and the staff were absolutely terrific throughout. We all had a beer and it came to about £30.00 a head, so not too steep for the food quality and setting. If you like this type of food this really is a must on a visit to Edinburgh. Great job guys. Mark

This is probably one of the most incredible locations for a shisha lounge - with a view of Edinburgh Old Town! The drinks were excellent and we enjoyed some delightful baclava too - a superb relaxing afternoon in a perfect setting.

Qozy lamb is their great dish but you should ask your server to give you the lamb shark rather than any other part if the lamb, this actually gives an anti climax with more of bones & fat rather than the flow cooked shank meat.
