Quirky tearoom and second hand bookshop. Great tea and cakes and the meals looked good too. Cheery host with many a quip.

Lovely little cafe, friendly staff. Nice place to stop for a scone and tea.

We were staying nearby and took the opportunity to visit. We chose to sit inside and have a piece of fruit slice and cheese and a soft and hot drink. Service was good and the humour 'unique'. We stayed around fifty minutes and found the tea room to be quietly and steadily busy.

Stopped on the off chance on the way back home from a day out. Wow … I think this may have been the best sticky toffee pudding I’ve eaten!! Lovely little tea room, friendly owners and delicious food. Thank you 5*

What an amazing place, great food and the best service. We didn’t catch the gentleman’s name (sorry!) but the attention to detail and witty humour he purveyed was brilliant! He had us laughing the whole way through our visit, we would 100% recommend and will be attending again when we can! Absolutely outstanding food - we stopped here on our way home from a holiday in the Dales and the Ploughmans Platter and Cheese Scones served with Cheese were absolutely fantastic, The quality of the home made food was superb. Charming host with a great sense of humour. This cafe is an absolute gem and highly recommended. We will be back.

Located in Aysgarth Village where it is quieter than the area near the falls. Close by is a lovely Victorian rock garden - so cute.

This was an excellent stop on our journey round the Dales. The customer service was extraordinaryly brilliant, so friendly and very funny. We stopped by Hamilton's Tea Room after a long walk through the Dales. What a find! The gentleman who served us was extremely welcoming, funny and helpful. The Covid measures were excellent and we were lucky to be seated outside in the courtyard garden. My partner and I both ordered the Dalesman's Lunch each (see picture attached). It was an excellent choice and the local Wenslydale cheese was great! We also managed to squeeze in a dessert each - apple pie and damson and almond slice. Absolutely delicious! I took my friend and my daughters out on a day trip to the Dales. We had been driving for a good few hours, but had aimed to stop off around Aysgarth or Hawes, as we were all hungry. We spotted Hamilton's Tea Room and were delighted to find that it was open and allowing customers without prior booking. The menu has a good choice of light meals and sweet treats and caters for all tastes. As we were in Wensleydale, my friend and I opted for toasted cheese and local chutney sandwiches, which came with a lovely, fresh salad and crisps. My daughters devoured a baked potato with beans and salad and a mozzarella and pesto toastie. The pot of tea was most welcome in the inclement Summer rain! We were too full to try any cakes or puddings as the portions are generous. The host was friendly and conscious of everyone's safety and hopefully other visitors will be considerate of this. There are Yorkshire produced jams and chutneys on sale as well as shelves of second hand books. We bought some chutney to take home.

Ideal place to visit for a large pot of tea and some lovely fresh scones, cream and jam. Even the milk is local and served in cute little milk bottles.The garden area offers a safe place to sit but the owners have worked really hard to make the inside area cover compliant.There is an extensive menu offering a wide range of tempting homemade treats - savoury and sweet........we’ll be back!!

We decided to walk from Worton to Aysgarth which was lovely, an 8 mile circular walk, but then it rained, and rained. As we approached Aysgarth, we spotted Hamiltons Tea room, and made a bee line for it. The gentleman who served us was very friendly, with a fantastic dry sense of humour, which coupled with the food, and his wife's fruit cake, made the experience one that I am happy to recommend !! A place to stop at, whatever the weather !!

We had a great trip over the moors and dales and finding Hawes was heaving with trippers, like us, we headed here for lunch having passed it on the way to Hawes. . The proprietor welcomed us in and advised us to order before the local church goers descended for lunch. Every other table was reserved for them. But there were lots available in the garden. Evidently a very popular venue and a well supported local resource. The proprietor then told us the specials. He had a lovely dry sense of humour and we were quickly served with three delicious meals. Another table had a group of locals having the lasagne, The cheese scone with Wenslydale cheese and chutney was fab. Ten minutes later the locals started arriving and all were greeted by name and the banter began between them all. All the ladies were in their Sunday best and we were greeted by everyone who came in and then included in their conversation. Our host kept us topped up with coffee, rye observations and after our first course he produced a chocolate, pear and almond tart with light crisp shortcrust pastry with vanilla ice cream. It was lush and Sandra must be congratulated for not baking it with a 'soggy bottom'. Without a doubt this was a very fortuitous find and we will be back. Before we left our host helped one lady across the busy road from her car. You could see that this business is based on great food, great customer service and local patronage that was fully deserved. A real gentleman and I'm sorry I didn't get the proprietors name.

Rather strange as when we walked in all of the other people in the cafe stopped speaking and looked straight at us maybe there not accustomed seeing two men together. ( we arnt obviously gay if you know what I mean ) anyway great tea and good food. And not overpriced. Just odd locals all of the women about 5 of them looked exactly the same. plump grey cardigan wearing over 60s 2 of them with little husbands who do exactly as they are told. all acting as if we’d walked into there sitting rooms Felt liked I’d walked into the set of a league of gentlemen. We came across this cute tearoom whilst driving through the Yorkshire Dales and fancied a cuppa and a snack. After asking if they offered anything gluten free (I'm coeliac), I was delighted to find out that as the owner is gluten free there were many things to choose from, both on the lunch menu and for cakes! I went for the cream tea (gluten free fruit scones) and free-flowing coffee, both of which were delicious.

Top notch little place, cozy and friendly, nicely turned out, the sort of place you would happily take your parents for breakfast or a scone and afternoon tea. Unpretentious, calm and great food. Stopped this morning for coffees and tea. Made ourselves at home moving furniture to accommodate the 4 of us around one table. Selection of coffees excellent. Served promptly, all hot and made to feel very welcome. The food that was being served around us looked very appetising, but we didn’t succumb as we’re on strict medical diets and had packed picnics. Every where spotlessly clean and the toilet, whilst small was also well cared for. Definitely a nice spot for a cuppa and if in the area will call again.
