first time at Hamiltons, and we shall visit here again many times, as the food was fantastic, the staff are amazing. such wonderful flavours and staff. Very nice atmosphere too. it is a 5 stars for me.

A hidden gem! Hamiltons is the best restaurant in Wolverhampton they offer consistently excellent dining experiences, the food is delicious, beautifully presented and the service is elite. The ethnics of the business really is customer focused and each and every time I visit I leave feeling a little spoilt and indulged. It’s an independent business where you can be guarantee a warm welcome, and often find the owner on site, sleeves rolled up serving, offering a smile and chattering away to guests, which is always fantastic to see. I think I have worked my way through most of the menu and each and meal has been exquisite, everything is homemade. The offerings of daily specials and soups of the day provide a delicious variety It’s a place where your favourite wine will be remembered, requests are accommodated and recommendations are made, A personal experience where your enjoyment and experience is priority. Offers of pre theatre and Sunday fixed menus are excellent value and there is also great deals on match day, beers, burgers and parking! I cannot not recommend this restaurant enough. Had a Sunday lunch here which was very good. We had beef which was offered as pink or well done. All courses were very nice & price good too Had afternoon tea here also good -a selection of savouries, unlike many a/t where only sandwiches -there was a wrap, egg mayo sandwich, warm paneer & warm sausage roll & a ham & cheese croissant. All very tasty. My fruit scone wasn’t cooked -Mary Berry wouldn’t have approved however the rest of the selection included carrot cake, macaron, Viennese sandwich & a cup cake. Brought 4 home in the box provided. I wasn’t happy when the waitress started dusting the plastic ferns above our head nor when she cleared the table whilst we were sitting there putting cakes in the boxes The place wasn’t busy so think would have been a better idea to wait. Whilst the menu was on the table it would have been nice if the waitress had told us what made up the afternoon tea. She did mention the selection of teas that were available but nothing about the food. Presentation was very nice -white cloth tablecloth & cloth serviette all in keeping with afternoon tea I’ve come to expect. I do think that free coffee could be offered as an alternative to tea but there is a charge should you choose this. I didn’t ask if there were refills but I would guess not if they’re charging for coffee. I would also like to see tea leaves not tea bags Would I recommend yes, value for money -yes in comparison to other places in the area. Choice of savoury & sweet very good I go to many afternoon teas so have lots to compare with Take a few of my comments on board & this will improve your afternoon tea no end

Hamilton done it again. The staff,food,drink, atmosphere and price excellent in all areas. Mother's day 19th March 2023 was really special to our family. Our Mother getting old. Each year is special. Hamilton made us feel so welcoming and the food was made to excellent Michelin 5 star standard. The drinks was lovely. Cocktails was reasonable price for the size. The staff friendly and helpful. You can tell they enjoy their job. Teamwork was definitely the key!!! We felt really special. They treated everyone special. Compliments to the chef. Thank you. Been to Hamilton’s a few times now, with my partner. We love the food and the service, every time. I can understand why some regulars might right a bad review after many good visits. Being treated consistently wonderfully at every visit and then not having expectation met on one, could feel like a real kick in the teeth. Like being jolted by a lover! The service is personable and caring at each visit but the absolutely best part of the experience is the food! I’m not good with technology and a rarely post pictures but I’m always impressed and have felt the need to share😊 We had 3 courses, tonight. Brie and mushroom tartlet to start. Chef special of pan fried salmon and polenta for main and a very berry cheesecake with pistachio ice cream for dessert. Absolutely gorgeous flavours and beautifully presented. Attended the adjacent West Park Hospital so decided to eat at Hamilton's for my first time. Opened at 12-00 but I was at 11-00 but they kindly attended to me as the chef was on site. Only "sandwiches" were available for lunch which was disappointing. However I order their Hamilton Club sandwich with half pint of ale. The club sandwich was absolutely superb and filling as was the accompanying seasoned salad. While the menu price was over £8 they have a February special off of £5.95 for a sandwich and a soft drink or coffee / tea which is what I was charged. Plenty of parking and a great service from Helen and the manager. Fully recommended for those who choose the affordable best in value and healthy produce.

I stayed at the park view and ate in this fabulous restaurant every day. I would highly recommend the truffle mushroom and brie tart and the prawn and crayfish linguine is to die for! After 2 of my 3 courses one evening I was offered desserts, I explained I was not in a particularly Sweet mood and so they prepared a lemon cake with fresh fruits specifically to suit my pallet. The service was above and beyond! Thank you Chef and the wonderful servers!!

We had one of their midweek special lunches at 5.95 for a posh sandwich, toasted or not or panini and drink. It was myself my daughter and a friend went there today to try their midweek special lunches . The sandwich and salad was really nice and the lady who served us was so polite , even when my friend who is a vegetarian, plus fussy and difficult with her eating did not want her sandwich as it was not what she thought it was after the lady had changed it to suit my her . The lady was more than happy to change it saying that she misunderstood even though it was more than likely to be my friends fault ( she can confuse people , even me after knowing her for about 20 years.) It is a restaurant attached to a hotel opposite West park with a nice seated indoor area and an outside part that is under cover which I would like to try with other friends when the weather improves. We will definitely go there again

Went for Afternoon Tea with three friends. What a lovely place, the waitress was delightful, friendly and polite. The food was delicous and a good selection of savouries, one friend is vegetarian and she had a good selection. The cakes were mouth watering and the scones were still warm. Would definately recommend their afternoon tea and will be going again.

A great place to visit. We enjoyed a family meal for 7 and the service was first rate. The menu for Sunday lunch covered all of our different tastes and the portions were ideal. We visited on Sunday for Sunday lunch, which was delicious. My partner had the starter of pork belly bites, very tasty, which he followed with lamb whilst I ordered the beef, Both were wonderful. We enjoyed it so much we booked for a family gathering later on in the year. Fantastic customer service too.

Just back for birthday Afternoon Tea with my sister. It was delicious! savouries included ham & cheese croissant, chicken wrap and spring roll. Lots of hand-cooked cakes, so much that we couldn't eat them all and took the remainder home. I would definitely recommend this as a treat. Can't wait to go again.

Yesterday my sister held her wedding at Hamiltons. Sat and her team went above and beyond from the many weeks of planning to yesterday and for many weeks due to covid19, and decisions of government, we were not sure if the wedding would happen, however Sat was in contact regularly and ensured yummy sister that her wedding would happen, if it could. The venue and tables looked stunning, even though covid restrictions were in place We had use of outside space and as people say many photos taken in the phone booth and the bride and groom had a dance under the pagoda outside. The food was excellent and Sat came up with a unusual and bespoke menu. Thank you Sat and your team. The whole family were very impressed with your boutique hotel and restaurant and commented it was a real find, that many were not aware of of existed. I did not personally stay, however the guests who stayed commented on the cleanliness and high standards of the room and again this morning the restaurant did not disappoint with a lovely cooked english breakfast. Sat and her team and even packed away wedding items and cake for my sister take easily take home this morning. Thank you.

I’d never been here before but wanted to find somewhere new to try. I have nothing but praise and positive remarks. The food was absolutely lovely. First time at Hamiltons. We went for lunch. My wife and I had the scallops for starter and haddock and chips with tartare sauce and mushy peas for the main - Both really nice!! My daughter had the chicken wrapped with pancetta and she loved it. Service was good - pleasant staff. All in all a very nice place for lunch. We saw others having afternoon tea - looks very impressive, so we are booked in to try it in a couple of days.

Whether your taking a close friend, someone special or a family member. This place is lovely and decor is warm. Anyway the food is great. I ordered the salmon which is was amazing. The moose for desert was fabulous. I would recommend this place but please book.

I booked the restaurant (Hamilton's) for a post-wedding Afternoon Tea party.Due to covid, the restaurant made alterations to the layout and allowed us to have the outside of the venue for the wedding party.Not only this, the staff were extremely friendly and polite and constantly went above and beyond (e.g. being flexible with the times that we had parts of the afternoon tea served) as well as giving us a prosecco reception on arrival.I will definitely be coming back and will definitely be recommended others around the area to do so. My thoughts were echoed by ALL of the guests of the party who praised the excellent quality of food and pleasantness of the staff.Well done!

What a brilliant restaurant this is!They have made excellent modifications for COVID-19, screens between tables that are stylish as well as functional, and coverings over tables before you are seated give a good feeling of security.The food is top notch, all well prepared and well thought out dishes.Although the menu is currently reduced in variety the dishes are all wonderful.We had Spinach and Mozerella stuffed Chicken as well as the catch of the day (Sea Bass). I work in this industry so i can be a little fussy at times. I came across this place by mistake online and the fish friday deal was a deal breaker for me! So booked online, we had a a friendly confirmation call a couple dats befor i had also suggested this place to a friend who also booked with ease and found the vegan menu to have a great selection on arriveal we were met by a lady called sad im sure thats her name shevwas friendly and met our request about a table change professionally everything moved in perfect timing and the staff new the menu very well and was able to give details about all wines abd cocktails which again there was a great selection of all drinks, the food omg the meal portions were generous but not to big i had fish cakes my partner had the scallops the mains once again great size delivered hot and in great timing . And dessert was captivating, my expresso martini was great to! Meal came with a lovely wine which we both enjoyed. Overall an brilliant restaurant amazing food top service, ladies toilet were also clean and fresh! I cant wait to go back there!

Well after being here numerous times what can I say Always been excellent food and service And the here comes the big ButBut on this occasion which was valentines night unfortunately not to their usual standards Starter of soup came without a spoon Steak came without a steak knife which was needed as I couldn’t cut through it with a normal knife I really don’t want to go any further as we have eaten here many times before and understand on a busy day like Valentine’s Day things get overseen and rushed Will I eat here again YES always been enjoyable Just thought it may have been better to let manager know to keep up the prior good work See you soon

Purpose of Visit: 90th Birthday Meal (21 adults and 3 children) Starters: Pâté, Mushroom and Stilton SoupI had the pâté and it was nothing short of excellent. Fantastic taste; rich and creamy the sweet chutney/jam on top was great. Full marks :)Mains: Roast Turkey, Roast Beef and Fish and ChipsI had the fish and chips and whilst there was nothing wrong with it, it just didn’t jump of the plate for me. The best part was the tartar sauce which was excellent. The fish was nice but nothing special and the fries felt very commercial. It would have been nice to have something a little more rustic. I did try the beef and this was exceptional, roasters looked good and veg was fresh too. Desert: Cheese boards, waffles, sticky toffee puddingsAll we great my only comment would be I have no idea about what the cheeses were or where they were from. Sometimes a story behind food is nice.Staff: brilliant, really helpful Wait times: not much at all considering there were so many of us.Venue: really well fitted out, modern, clean and comfortableComeback? yes Final Thoughts: Great venue, great staff and good food. We were all looked after well and were thoroughly full up. It’s worth noting that the children were catered for brilliantly. Thank you for having us.

Dropped in here for a pre-theatre dinner and having benefitted from their early bird menu ended up trying 3 courses for £21. Great value for money and the food was delightful. Super environment with very attentive staff. Wolverhampton struggles for great places to eat but I would highly recommend this place (and the brownie). We visit the Hamilton's restaurant in Wolverhampton for afternoon tea for a retirement leaving event. There was about 20 of us. We were sitted in the conservatory which was warm light and comfortable. Our afternoon tea price included a alcoholic cocktail or a non alcoholic drink. Service was excellent and I would go again. The price was reasonable. There was plenty of free car park space on site.

Just returned from hamiltons. Me, my mom and sister have just been for afternoon tea. Well I have to say it is the nicest afternoon tea I have had. All fresh, a little bit different, however still includes a scone and clotted cream. Service excellent. So friendly. Lovely little boutique hotel. Will return.

We ate here on Fish Fridays and wasn't aware that you can only order from that but it was fine as i am a fan of fish. (and there is a chicken option). The food was nicely presented and tasteful, we also got their in time for 2for 1 cocktails which were good

Bad food really poor service. Don't bother. Waitress told us that one of the rooms are so u hynecic she cannot seat us there. Omg there is 12 tables there full of people. Please consider before making booking. This place will ruin your special occasion.

Je ne donne cependant que 4 étoiles car le temps entre la prise de commande et le service des plats était très (beaucoup trop) long; Il n'y avait pourtant que deux autres personnes dans la salle de restaurant.

Staff and ex staff went for afternoon tea to say goodbye to a friend and colleague. The service and food wasn’t as good as some cafes I have been to and the food for my vegetarian friends was poor.

Just be aware that the Fish Friday complimentary wine is low alcohol so many people would choose the upgrade which starts from around £16 onwards. Very misleading. Food was okay but very small portions, fishcakes were a little bland. I think all in all it is very pleasant but a little overpriced

We arrived early, and our cases were sent to our rooms when they were ready, we ate lunch at the restaurant, and found it very good, not A La Carte, but not priced that way at lunchtime, Nice fayre at very nice price. Excellent Well Done.

We visited Hamilton's on Saturday afternoon, 3rd August for afternoon tea and loved every minute of the experience. The staff give you a lovely warm welcome, the afternoon tea is served in a lovely, large, airy glass conservatory and the afternoon tea itself was absolutely delicious. Unlimited pots of tea, delicious finger sandwiches and the most gorgeous selection of cakes and desserts. They even give you a little box if you request it to put any cakes you have left to take home. A lovely experience and a real treat. Hamilton's has lots of parking at the rear of the Hotel and the place itself is beautifully decorated inside. Will definitely do it again and thoroughly recommend it to anyone. Best to book in advance though.

This was a lovely experience with a cocktails preceding a superb three course meal. I would recommend the wine upgrade to complete the enjoyment.

After seeing a play at the Grand, eight of us headed to Hamilton’s for my mother’s birthday. Great choice. When I arrived four of our party were already sipping cocktails, under parasols in the sun. Great service, and wonderful food.

5* as well, can never fault this place and have visited plenty of times. Went with my boyfriend and his parents for a pre Father’s Day treat, they both had the new gentlemen’s tea and the ladies had the new traditional afternoon tea. We tried the pink bramble gin cocktail and it was delicious!

We chose Hamilton’s as we had a tickets for concert at the Molineux and wanted a nice family pre-concert meal. The service was excellent and it was a lovely touch chatting to the restaurant owner. We thoroughly enjoyed the food from starters to desert! Plenty to choose from and great value. The presentation of the food was exceptional and as we dined early we were able to take advantage of the 2 for 1 cocktail menu. We are looking forward to visiting again very soon. Highly recommend!

First time visit Wednesday 01/05 the restaurant was quiet so I was nervous.

Amazing little restaurant with a great chef. We go there every month and we absolutely enjoy it! From starters to desert! Highly recommend!

Never eaten here before but had heard of it from friends who had eaten there recently.

Excellent meal, friendly service, nice surroundings. Very good fixed price fish menu on Fridays including wine or soft drinks. Thoroughly recommend seafood risotto or linguine. Will definitely be going again

Had an amazing meal at Hamiltons Restaurant where we had the Fish Friday special which was 3 courses plus a bottle of wine for 2 people for £50. It was excellent value for money, the food was amazing (the most amazing lemon posset I have ever had) and the wine was lovely. Service was amazing. I will definitely be returning.

We do afternoon tea ALOT but this has been the best we have had! Instead of the usual sandwiches, we had bruschetta and mini lamb burgers which were amazing!! The cakes, the service and the atmosphere were perfect for a group of friends to get together and enjoy!! Highly recommended!!

Lovely meal it was our first visit.. so we didn't realise it's cheaper before a certain time and they have special offer nights. The food was delicious, l had a Duck main and a cheesecake dessert both were stunning in taste and presentation, but l should have order extra sides as small a la carte portions. Expensive at this time but no regrets a lovely tasting memorable meal. We would definately go again for a special occassion as lovely atmosphere.

Came here for a birthday with my girlfriend and had the Afternoon Tea and the Gentlemen’s Afternoon Tea. The restaurant was very quite as was in midweek but was all laid out beautifully. We was worried it might feel like the staff were watching us as just us there but this was not the case at all, the girl serving came back at perfect intervals and was very attentive when needed. The food itself was lovely and couldn’t fault it, we also decided to try the cocktails which were also lovely. So far the best Afternoon Tea I have had.

My husband myself and friends visited the restaurant last night having read the excellent recommendations. We were warmly welcomed though it was a disappointment that there isnt a proper bar area for a pre dinner drink. Food was ok but have had better. Before our meal we were served Hamiltons version of bread which were small rather dry scones and 2 pats of butter between 4 of us. We could have asked for more but that shouldn’t be necessary. I had soup and asked for another bread roll I was told it would be £1 as initial breads were complimentary!! We eat out a lot and have never been asked to pay for bread to go with soup!! Our bill was nearly £200 pounds the pound was obviously irrelevant!! How very short sighted and penny pinching we left with the feeling that corners are cut we will not be back. I have done many restaurant reviews they are normally positive.

This was our first time eating here and was the perfect venue for my husband and I to enjoy a special wedding anniversary meal. It was a quiet midweek evening therefore the service was personal, warm, friendly, and attentive. The atmosphere was relaxed yet intimate. The food was delicious especially the vegetarian skewers main course which was one of the tastiest meals I have ever eaten. You absolutely get what you pay for here and its worth every penny in our view. Highly recommended!

I ate here when staying at the hotel. The food is excellent, the atmosphere warm and friendly and all in all a great place to go for excellent cuisine.

Went to Hamilton's on Saturday. The atmosphere was pleasant and friendly. We were served very efficiently. The food was excellent, my husband had the haddock scotch egg as a starter and he said it was delicious. I had cod for mains and again that was delicious. The food is well presented. I would certainly recommend this restaurant.

This is the second time we have been for fish friday. This time as 2 couples. 3 courses for 2 with a bottle of wine for £55. The food was excellent quality and service personal and friendly as usual.
