I have been visiting Hagley Golf Club for quite a while for Sunday Lunch I have nothing but high praise for the food served and the hospitality offered The food and service is always first class with excellent Customer Service at all times Nothing is too much trouble for the staff I would highly recommend Hagley Golf Club if you’re looking for excellent food and service

Me and our husband had our wedding here and had one of the best days possible. Our ceremony room was perfect, so much natural light as there is loads of windows. Followed by drinks and a ride on the golf buggy. They accompanied us so we'll and even let us go down to the fountain for photos when there was no golfers around. The meal was so nice everyone loved the food, and the evening was amazing with the bar staff being so helpful and friendly. I want to say a big thsnkyou to georgia as well who helped plan, set up and organise our day with us, we couldn't have imagined it any better!

Cannot recommend enough from making the booking to leaving. Service was first class, staff very attentive, we ordered ahead with some special requests and they were all dealt with. Nothing was too much trouble. Service with a smile. Beautiful setting, clean and bright. They even bought a cake for the birthday boy.

A thoroughly enjoyable festive Sunday lunch today. Food excellent,service excellent,atmosphere excellent.What more could you want.

A group of 8 of us went to the Dreamettes evening at Hagley golf club. From the welcome drink through to serving the three course meal and the bar service, the staff were friendly and efficient.The meal was excellent value, with a good choice, all dishes were tasty and well presented. The entertainment was great which made for a lovely atmosphere. We will definitely keep an eye out for future events.

Recently visited club restaurant for Sunday Lunch, having been a past member its been a while since I visited , was pleasantly surprised by how good it still is, the food was excellent service very professional and friendly not overly bearing also found it reasonable priced. Amenities very good club nice and tidy COVID-19 friendly and adhered to, all in a very good experience and will definitely be back soon.

I love hagley and I am a proud member it's so nice everyone nows my name and the service is subline I love the way it's appropriate for everyone. It's good for couples it's good for families it's good for elderly people and good for friends and mates

i am reluctant to rave about this place because i hate it when they are fully booked and we cant get in. We have visited many times booking both ourselves with fkriends and joining friends when they have booked. We spent three months trying many local restaurants for a good Sunday lunch with venues varying from 25 to 40 per head for food only. This venue is far the best for both quality of food and service and offers excellent value for money being more reasonable than the above. . Friendly efficient and informative. Menuy varies so you dont get bored of the sae old same old. always excellent ingredients cooked to perfection. I really must try to breakfast menu after Christmas

We had the Farmers Club Annual Meal here. Really excellent 4 course meal, lovely staff and service Ten out of ten all round

visited with a party of six friends and really enjoyed 3 course sunday lunch. Home made pate delicious, the parmesan souffle was the best ive ever had. Roast beef yorkshire pudding and crisp roasties all delicious, Good selection of desserts and cheese and biscuits. All beautifully presented,, can accommodate gluten free d and cooked. Excellent service. White linen table clothes and napkins. Local cuisine A real treat. About £25 per head

Everyone has their own high expectations of their special day. From the perfect setting, fitting around different family members- access to the venue, the atmosphere and service! Shaun and I had visited many locations, but we were desperately looking for a venue close to our dream ceremony venue Clent church. We went to view Hagley Golf Club, just for a little look around, we were welcomed and made to feel very comfortable from the moment we walked in, Gary immediately got on board with all our ideas and helped us imagine how our day could fit with this venue. The room we hired over looks the beautiful Clent hills and has beautiful scenery for pictures. We reserved the room there and then! When thinking of decoration for the room we attended the wedding Fayre which was held at the Golf Club, which meant we could hire trusted companies for the day (Cloud nine- who dressed our room). Charlotte met with us on a few occasions to ensure that what we had in our minds for the big day was brought to life. The day before the big day we were able to help dress the venue, something which I was desperate to do! The following day the venue welcomed our guests for drink’s on arrival, a silver service two course meal, we chose to have a deserts table, champagne and coffee, which was served outside of the room i order to give the older generations of the party some quite time. The venue provided ample parking and exclusive use Hawthorne suite with doors opening up to bring the outside in, the patio area allowed the for out guests to enjoy the sunshine with beautiful views surrounding the room. The room allowed for tables to set up, nicely spaced allowing for all of the guests to mingle between each other and later in the evening the top table was moved to allow for a spacious dance floor. Charlotte and the team were professional, friendly and accommodating of our specific needs / wants and also forthcoming with appropriate suggestions too. We cannot thank them enough for such an amazing day! Our guests have all been so complimentary about the day, from the fantastic food, the quick and effective service and the bar staff all smiles and happy to have a laugh with everyone. We have memories to last a lifetime and we cannot thank the team enough for their hard work!

We chose Hagley Golf Club as the venue for the evening reception at our wedding and it did not disappoint. I can't thank everyone enough for helping to make our day so special. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the food was incredible and the Hawthorne Suite was perfect for the amount of people in attendance (around 90). The layout of the room meant that there was plenty of space for people to mingle without feeling crowded. The warm weather meant that we could make use of the patio area and the surrounding grounds allowed our photographer to get creative. Charlotte was a massive help to us and is a credit to your establishment. She met with us regularly to build a picture of what we wanted and was extremely accommodating with our requests. We had every confidence that she had everything under control which was a weight off our minds. We honestly don't have a bad word to say about this place. Everything was perfect.

Everyone expects the perfect setting, atmosphere and service for their social event, and no more so than on your wedding day, the most important day of your life…After looking at several locations across the West Midlands we booked Hagley Golf Club for our Wedding Reception (in July 2019) welcoming 100+ guests for drink’s on arrival, a silver service three course meal, champagne and ad-hoc drinks at the dedicated bar. We enjoyed ample parking and exclusive use of the Clent & Hawthorne suites with impressive vistas of the Golf Course greens, with a decking area / patio adding an extra aspect. The banqueting room had 10 large round tables (that could be arranging in various configurations), nicely spaced allowing free flowing casual conversations and later in the evening a dance floor. Charlotte, Caroline and the team were professional, friendly and accommodating of our specific needs / wants and also forthcoming with appropriate suggestions too. We planned the event and had pre-meets to cover off the finer detail and the experienced team helped at each step. Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the day from start to finish, the canapés were a highlight as was the well-presented formal meal, with quality wine to complement. We have memories to last a lifetime, Hagley Golf Club is to be recommended, thanks for making our big day so special!

The food was good, I had a club sandwich which very welcome after a round of golf. The staff were very nice. What they offer for special occasions, I am not sure. Good sky TV on the wall.

My family enjoyed a lovely afternoon at the golf club for Mother’s Day. All of our food was spot on and the staff were great ! The Mother’s Day menu was amazing! Compliments to the chefs! We will be visiting again soon!

Enjoyed Sunday lunch as part of a group of 7 friends. We had a lovely round table in the window with nice views. Fresh linen table cloths and nice crockery. Good choice of dishes, approximately 3 or 4 per course to select from. I had the roast beef and yorkshire pudding, really nice with good vegetables and lots of extra gravy for our gravy loving friend. Service was a little slow but company was lively and it was a very relaxed afternoon. Fully disabled friendly, Good value for money.

This years ball was held on the 30th of November and was the best one yet. Great atmosphere, food and brilliant friendly staff helped make the ball a great success. We raised £1420 for the Air Ambulance. Thank you all. We look forward to coming back next year.

Firstly the course was is amazing condition, 2 different nines and really fast and true greens. All of this complimented by a world class driving range. After we had played we decided to sample the menu in the main bar. Jeans? trainers? no problem, infact we learned they have just introduced a modern dress code that complimented a very ranging menu and a fun atmosphere that is sadly missing from some clubs. The food was served very quickly, lots of it, reasonably priced and the service from the bar staff was amazing. I have never seen bar staff having so much fun behind 3 feet of mahogany. A great experience and day out.

I went here with a fiend and was refused entry as I was wearing jeans! Not impressed! Shall never darker their door again. Neither will my friend who was very embarrassed.

We visited here as a table of 8 for a birthday meal. We all opted for the 2 or 3 course sunday lunch and everything was faultless. The food was beautiful, expecially the crispy roast potatoes! The service we received was second to none. We were looked after very well. We look forward to returning again soon.

I have been a member of the golf club for about 30 years and since the take over we have been 3 times, and 3 times we have found the service poor and the food disappointing.

My friend and I returned for a complimentary lunch here after I sent an email to the Manager complaining about the food on the previous occasion. We were presently surprised as the food was now very good and plentiful whereas on the previous occasion it was sparse and not good.

My friend and I had lunch here yesterday and were disappointed. I have been here before but since new management have taken over, the lunch is now very small. We both had Roast Lamb and when it arrived there was one slice of lamb and 3 roast potatoes. We both asked the waitress for more meat which was supplied. Then a dish of vegetables arrived but no new or boiled potatoes. I asked the waitress to ask if we could have some alternative potatoes to the roasters but was told no, they don't do any other sort of potatoes. That is so bad, not everyone likes roasters plus the meal was so small with only vegetables as an accompaniment, It certainly wouldn't be enough for a man's appetite. We had ordered two courses so eagerly awaited a nice big pudding, sadly that didn't happen. Firstly, the lovely sweet trolley has now gone and you get a choice of 4 desserts. My friend and I chose Lemon Tart with Berries. It arrived, a piece so small, and where were the berries, there wasn't any just small pieces of crunchy bits of something, nothing else, no cream, so disappointing. Then the coffee arrived, again a huge disappointment, coffee was stone cold so we had to ask for a hot cup which we duly received. Usually I go out to Sunday lunch and have such a lot of eat I am totally full and don't eat for the rest of the day, not yesterday, I was still hungry and to add insult to injury when the bill arrived we had been charged for 3 courses but we only had 2 courses. I went to the bar to enquire why we had been charged for 3 courses and the young man who served us said it said 3 on our order slip, I said no, it says table 3 not 3 courses, sad. I had a new bill and paid and that's the last time I will be going there. I would say to anyone who is thinking of visiting this establishment, don't go if you have a healthy appetite. I had to have a small meal last night as I was so hungry.

Decided to give lunch another go.Six months ago food not up to scratch .Today food excellent especially beef and Yorkshire puddings .Loved the taste of chicken pate but not the way it was served.I thought it looked like chocolate mousse.The staff needed to concentrate more on service than continually asking if everything is ok (at least 10times ),but then not putting bread on table or providing extra gravy.Minor complaints on service but on the whole a lovely meal. Still miss the sweet trolley.

We had the most wonderful time at a Wedding at Hagley Golf Club.

We stay for drinks after golf and it has to be said the members of staff service is (to be kind) lacklustre; it seem your new team member is more interested in messing around with the staff than serving the customers and is often no where to be seen.

Service for a large number excellent.Everyone at our table loved their diifernt dishes and the excellent range and cooking of the vegetables.

Visiting for a company Xmas dinner - lovely meal - helpful and pleasant staff. Lovely clean loo. Not too far from a Premier Inn for an overnight stay and breakfast next door at a Beefeater Inn.

Came with family - it seemed everything we asked for chef could not provide - did not even have any cheese so my wife could have cheese and biscuits as she does not have a sweet tooth. Service excellent but meat was not tender. Needs to up their game as a great venue.

Last night I attended a 25th wedding anniversary party at the club. The venue is in a lovely setting, well laid out with little nooks for quite chats. The buffet was hot, replenished quickly with a wide selection to choose from. One of the best assets of the club was the staff...who all demonstrated excellent customer service skills. What also stood out was their team work and willingness to help each other. This was observed twice with the bar staff and the staff managing the buffet. A great example of a well run venue.

We had our wedding here Saturday 27th may and it was a beautiful day throughout, the food was very good and everyone was happy, the service was brilliant and the staff where very friendly and helpful, everything went perfectly, we would definitely recommend

La comida era buena, pero el servicio deja mucho que desear. Un miembro de nuestro grupo a una camarera tres veces rápido para café, y otro camarero aclaro nuestro plato de verdura mientras alguien todavía estaba comiendo. Para colmo, una camarera pidió la mesa principal lo que le gustaría hacer con el "pastel de cumpleaños sorpresa" en frente de la chica que estaba celebrando girando 80.

Had a few breakfasts here in the spike bar before and after a round. Not too bad, the attitude of the people behind the bar leaves quite a bit to be desired, especially the bloke, grumpy or what!

I attended this venue on 5/12/16 as part of a group and had pre advised them of the fact that I'm a coeliac with a dairy intolerance. Unfortunately when the main course was served my turkey meal arrived with a sausage on it.I politely explained to the waiter that I needed it changed and not just the sausage removed due to cross contamnation.I have reasons to suspect this wasn't done as I suffered from a severe reaction to being glutened and was ill for the following 48 hours. I emailed the establishment and explained I'd been poorly and that I felt it was due to some kind of cross contamnation to my meal.The owner replied in great detail about their hygiene procedure but did not address the issue .I had a telephone conversation with the manager today who did not accept they had done anything wrong.He told me the chef himself was " glutenfree" and asked whether I was "chronic gluten free" immediately demonstrating a lack of understanding of the condition . IF the chef is glutenfree why would he serve me a sausage on a meal????? The manager then went on to say he'd like me to go to the hospital and obtain proof that their kitchen had glutened me ??!!!! Unfortunately there was no real concern for my health and an almost blatant denial that they were to blame,Coeliacs-- avoid at all costs.

Visited on a Saturday evening fir a friends Wedding Reception. Large comfortable spacious room. Good selection of drinks which were not over priced. Friendly bar staff. Good hot buffet.

Popular venue for Sunday lunch and vey reasonably priced. It was very busy on the day we went and you can tell that some of the staff have been there for many years so a bit old fashioned but nothing wrong with that. Nice good quality food and the drinks were a good price too. Overlooks the golf course.

I visited here with family to celebrate my Nan's 80th birthday. They offer a traditional 3 course Sunday lunch with lots of choice and is excellent value for money. I had soup, sirloin of beef and chocolate gateux and it was all delicious. I was extremely impressed with the service, food, atmosphere, it was excellent. based on my experience. I would highly recommend a visit.

30 of my closest friends joined me at Hagley golf club to celebrate my birthday on 18th March. We had an amazing night and the staff went above and beyond to look after us. In particular Pat and Rod made us very welcome and the food was fantastic. The service was excellent. Rod had given us some guidance regarding menu choices and his recommendations were perfect. He even accommodated last minute changes in some of the guests choices without any problem and everyone commented on what a great job this team had done looking after us. This was a wonderful way to celebrate my birthday, so much so we are now planning to have our wedding here!

If you want to take your nan and grandad out for Sunday lunch they'll love this. The food is super traditional: prawn cocktail or pate to start, choice of roast meats for mains and a sweet trolley. If that suits you don't read on. I enquired what type of pate it was and discovered they didn't know and had no plans to find out. The meat was thinly sliced and all came out on one tray, sitting in one type of gravy - we had lamb, beef, pork and turkey between us. Don't get me wrong the food was OK but not anything special and a little over priced. The average age of the clientele was mid to late sixties which was considerably younger than that of the waiting staff.

Having had many meals here I must say the staff are always lovely, polite and helpful and willing to go the extra mile. Good atmosphere and since the dining room has been altered a much better space. The food is always well cooked and presented. The only negative in my opinion is the lack of imagination where the food is concerned hence the four stars.

i have been to hagley country club for meals for over 20 years wether for just two of us or a function for over hundred people which we book on a regular basis and always assured of a high standard from the staff, also the new look main dining area is all the better for removing the alcoves to give an open plan view.

Went to a supper night event there not really knowing what to expect. Pleasantly surprised by the friendly atmosphere, great hot buffet and superb entertainment. A great night out! Mandy and Adrian Williams

The band was fantastic and I haven't enjoyed myself so much in ages. We had a great buffet with a extensive choice of vegetables. We will definitely be going to the next one. Debbie

Had an excellent half day here. The whole place has a tranquil feel. It is easy to reach and has a big (free) car-park. Spent a couple of hours on the driving range, which is better than most. Then lunch in the clubhouse - good value, pretty tasty, nothing fancy but best steak I have had in a while. Staff very friendly.

Great place, friendly staff and great beer, though a little expensive.But food not good, everything under cooked and hard.

As a member of the Golf Club and a regular in the bar / club house I feel compelled to comment on the general standard of the food and service in the bar. The food at best is very ordinary, it is generally tasteless and is quite often undercooked. I have been served chips that are still frozen in the middle, roast pork that is not cooked and sandwiches in bread that has been allowed to dry out. When these things are pointed out you get the impression that you are wrong to comment. I have actually got to the point that I don't order food now. I will have a beer and leave. We have a great facility at HGCC which is being let down by a complete lack of imagination & care in the kitchen. I visit numerous golf clubs every year and I am always pleasantly surprised by the way these clubs have embraced change by the introduction of exciting and modern menus. Why cant HGCC learn from other?

The staff were able to accommodate around 50 people at short notice in one of the catering suites. The service was attentive and the staff made the party feel welcome even though it was a cold December afternoon.We primarily had a finger buffet and the food was presented well.The staff were able to do everything I asked of them.

Food and snacks always a good standard. Have been there for silver service and for bar snacks frequently. Staff always friendly.

What a lot of people do not realise is that you do not have to be a member of the club to eat there. My wife and I have visited on several occasions the latest with a group of friends. There is a varied choice of food which always comes piping hot. A pleasant evening was had listening to the golfers relating their golfing stories to one another. Quite amusing and a very pleasant atmosphere.

I've had at least four meals here. I've had them off the 'cheap' menu as is referred to by another reviewer and they have been great. A couple of times its been quiet but that means I've been able to watch the sport on the tv. Other times its been quite packed, I think it just depends on your timing. Service is always friendly and prompt. Don't listen to the bad review be smart enough to give the place a try. Ok the cask ales may be £3.50 but at least it is quality(Enville).I'm off there again tonight. Cheers.

The setting outside is lovely golf range wonderful and so are the staff but inside the clubhouse that's a different story the food was lovely but the drinks are expensive.hThen the very rude manager who was drinking alcohol while on duty (watched him do it ) was keen for us to clear out even though we still had time before it shut,, didn't feel very welcome at all so me and my wife won't be coming back in.

Popped in here recently against the advise of some friends of ours who are members of the golf club who advised us that they only tended to pop in for a quick tea or coffee after a game of golf as the menu and bar tariff would sting us!! Judging by the lack of people in the place and the atmosphere that was similar to that of a funeral parlour I would guess that people who have visited here in the past formed a similar opinion or people simply don't know the place exists as it is off the beaten track with no obvious signs or advertising letting people know of its whereabouts and what is on offer.£3.50 for a pint of cask ale, £4.30 for a large glass of wine!!! ( it is a bit isn't it!!!) A selection of bar snacks available at around £8.00 each or a selection of "cheap" specials at £5.50.Various sandwiches or baguettes ranging between £3.00 and £5.00!!Quite a shame really, nice setting that should have more people in with a more reasonably priced menu and bar prices set realistically. Sorry Hagley, I wont be back and I cant recommend you either!!!

I love this place it is tranquil with the dining room overlooking the golf course. I have been for several different functions here. A wedding, a birthday party, a private family meal etc. never been disappointed.

I've visited the club a few times, set in a lovely countryside area close to home. After a practice session enjoyed a hearty breakfast and good coffee in the bar.Nice friendly atmosphere with very nice staff
