What a Hotel,,, fantastic 👏 👌 Great prices, great food,,, great Beer 🍺 and super staff ,, all of the staff and locals friendly and really nice ,,, made our stay even better... We stayed for work, but will be back for vacation,, great location and we'll definitely be back .. 👍👍 150 out of a hundred,, can't recommend this place enough.... Fantastic.

Friendly and helpful staff and really nice atmosphere

The food here is quite awful. We ordered the cod goujons and the sauce that came with it had a crust on it clearly from being old. The burger was quite poor, the bread was stale and even though we let the staff know about this and the fact the burger wasn’t really edible due to this, our complaints were dismissed and we were told the bread was just toasted. We know what stale bread looks and tastes like. I really wouldn’t recommend it and we had a really disappointing end to our holiday at this restaurant.

Had a smashing meal in a party of 18 (we were accommodated last minute). Service and food were perfect and great value. Well done to the Team for making our night.

After being let down last minute by another local pub, Erin and team rescued my MiL 70th Birthday meal by fitting us in..all 18 of us!! Food arrived all at the same time, piping hot and tasty! The bar and waiting staff were perfect, very quick efficient service with a smile. Would definitely return! Erin and team you saved the day!!! Diolch yn fair iawn!!!

Visited here whilst staying locally , the team fitted us in last minute and we were a huge party of 19. We pre ordered food and it arrived pretty much as we did which was brilliant for the kids who were hungry! Food was incredible. So tasty and hot. Really lovely staff all very attentive and great prices. Will be back

I had a beef sunday roast. The beef was a little bit dry but the gravy was nice and it made the beef taste one hundred times better. The pigs in blankets were massive but they were a bit greasy. Other than that the rest of the dinner was really good and I recommend it.

Found this little gem of a place whilst staying locally. Only had food here but lovely pub, great and friendly staff and the pizzas we had were amazing. Would highly recommend

We came here for Sunday lunch, 4 adults and 2 babies! Absolutely fantastic food, presentation was lovely and it tasted amazing! Portions were very generous. Meat cooked superb (we had lamb, beef and chicken), and the service was just lovely. Really helpful and couldn't do enough for us all. Thankyou so much! Made the birthday celebrations even better! 100% recommend Sunday lunch here! Loved it!

Stopped here for food, past this place many times but never been for food or heard anyone mention it. What a hidden gem, for pub grub the Sunday roast was lovely, desert of ginger sponge and custard 10/10. The price was also amazing, definitely will call again.

The hotel is beautiful and all the people that work there are very nice and helpful. You will feel like home. We needed our breakfast to go, and they prepare it for us. They were very kind. Thanks for a lovely stay!!

Lovely building, friendly staff and good food

Booked for Sunday lunch with my wife. From the moment we arrived everyone was fantastic, lovely welcome, really helpful! We had roast beef with all of the trimmings, it was absolutely fantastic, really delicious. We had extra roast potatoes and cauliflower cheese which we’d highly recommend! Our compliments to the chef and the team, we’ve already booked our next visit, can’t wait, thank you!

We booked a table here as we were staying in the local area. The food was delicious. Service was quick and efficient and the food was really tasty. The total bill for 4 adults and one child came to £65 so we thought it was really reasonable. I can definitely recommend.

Family of 4 ,had a meal here very nice ,food excellent, the only downside was we were sat near the door and people kept going out and leaving tge door open ,and there was a cold draft on our food while we were eating, but otherwise everything was fine ,could do with having a sign up saying please close door in welsh and English. X

Update - Just had our 3rd visit this year. Stayed in Room 2 twice, and also Room 4. Room 2 would have to be our favourite because of the extra space. Again, the stay was fantastic. Small issue with our Puppy was handled with out any judgement at all - very understanding and responsive (although I was very honest before leaving, which many may not have been). From our first trip : - Absolutely fantastic stay, from the staff to the rooms. Spotlessly clean throughout. Food was amazing and there is no other hotel that we have stayed at has been quite so dog friendly, they even have their own sausage cooked when they join you for breakfast (which is always delicious). They truly do make the dogs feel as welcome as the paying guests. We will see you all again soon!!

Absolutely delightful bar and restaurant. Very welcoming. We had Sunday lunch and can honestly say this was as near to home cooked roast as you can get with generous helpings of meat and fresh veg. Absolutely delicious. Even a dish of roast beef bought out for our dog as a treat. Would highly recommend.

Visited in September after seeing the place was dog friendly. Booked online with no issues and table was ready for us when we arrived. Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere in the bar with a good mix of regulars and visitors. Ordered beef Sunday roasts, which were fantastic. Gravy was thick and full of flavour, roasties were perfect and really tasty, beef was cooked to perfection! Really impressed and would happily come back again!

We stayed for two consecutive weekends and had both breakfast along with evening meals. The family run hotel and restaurant is homely, well run and offers a good range of food to suit all tastes.

Ist visit, we weren't staying at the hotel. We had a really lovely pint of lager and the roast beef in a yorkshire pudding special. Food excellent, pleasing atmosphere, prices as you would expect for a really quality hotel/pub near the coast.

Visited this charming hotel for a small intimate family wedding yesterday, the food and decorations for the wedding were excellent, the staff were friendly and helpful, a truly enjoyable experience- thank you

Food was OK, service was excellent

We called in for a drink in the daytime in the beautiful sunny beer garden. We where staying about 20minutes away for a couple of days. We decided to book a table for 2 for food that evening. When ee arrived we where greeted and showed to our reserved table. We grabbed a couple of drinks from the bar and ordered our food. The menu was varied and we also noticed the drinks were not expensive at all. I ordered the steak and ale pie with chips, peas and gravy. It was ok, typical pub food really. Pie had plenty of meat but lacked seasoning to be honest. Chips where nice and fluffy inside, peas and gravy just fine 👍. For dessert we both opted for strawberry Eaton mess cake. It was well presented and tasted great but the portion size was very small. The amount of cream would of submerged the cake if I used it all. Double the size of the slices!!! All in all good value for money, 2 mains, 2 desserts, 2 gins and 1 pint Madri £52. Will return in future due to the value factor and staff where great 👍

We went here for food twice in our 5 day camping trip. Food was lovely, I recommend the vegetarian curry. Staff were really friendly. Will definitely go again next time I am in wales :)

Our first visit here having said we must give it a whirl for the past three years. We were a party of four adults and two dogs. Very busy when we arrived but our table was reserved as we’d booked earlier in the day. A lovely atmosphere and the footie was on which was a bonus for the men. The staff, bar and waiting, were super friendly and our food was delicious. Two of us had pie of the week (yummy) the other two had lasagna and burger. Each meal was thoroughly enjoyed.

We had a superb Sunday lunch at this hotel bar/restaurant. Main course @ £13 with starters/desserts @ £5 extra. Prompt service and very friendly staff. Great atmosphere and plenty of additional seats in the garden. Highly recommended.

Lovely friendly restaurant with very comfortable beer garden. Staff very helpful and accommodating. We sat outdoors until food was ready then moved into bar area. Food was lovely. I had chicken and ham pie with mash and peas, will definitely return when in the area. Beer garden well maintained and spacious.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Went out of their way to accommodate a large party of 11 at short notice. Great that they have a section of the menu where all the meals are the same price, as well as lots of choices. Food was great.

Stumbled upon this bar whilst driving around out of Harlech whilst looking for a bar to be open at 4pm (out of season) this was the first place we came across and it was a lovely experience! Lovely friendly staff/punters were all very welcoming! Menu looked great, but we didn’t eat as we had a prior dinner reservation! Very reasonable prices! Great range of drinks in the bar. Also dog friendly! Had we known of this place earlier we would have definitely booked a room and stayed overnight! Thanks!

We were staying at the B&B come over and after a long day out decided to eat in the bar. Felt the menu was very lacking with choice and realised that it was a lot of either fried food or microwave meals after hearing the microwave ping from our room. However has there isn't much choice in the village for places to eat we decided to give it a go. We both had the chicken tikka masala which I can only describe as microwaved. It certainly wasn't restaurant quality curry and not worth the £14 that was charged. I had chips with mine that looked like the potato has been scooped out the middle. The poppadom tasted fishy so was obviously cooked in the same oil as scampi etc. Can't fault the actual bar area or the staff at all as it was all very nice and the staff were very friendly. They just need to improve the quality of the food to match the prices that they are charging. If I was staying in the area again NZ I would definitely use this place for the rooms but not the food.

Called for drinks and food looked a nice place to eat. We were 2 adults and a dog , shown to the outside seating area which wasn't the cleanest , sat by the outside bar which I noticed had broken lights on with glass sticking out very dangerous . Ordered drinks and a starter. Food arrived the server a young girl asked if it was ours and then said where do you want it 😏 (Table would be good 🤣) It was nachos to share with dips £7.95 basically a tiny bowl of nachos with cheap cheddar cheese on and 3 little dips ridiculous portion for 2 adults to share more like a toddlers portion . After the quality and portion of the starter we decided we would not bother and left ... We now realise why all the eateries in llanbedr were fully booked except this one .

Good food exactly as described on the menu , good value. We had a slight issue with one of the meals once explained to the staff, it was sorted straightaway. Staff were polite, friendly really welcoming.

Stayed in two rooms at the hotel for two nights in April. Location: on the main road through Llanbedr. Convenient for Shell Island, Barmouth, Beddgelert. Amenities: plenty of parking, large garden, bar, food, dogs welcome. Room: good standard of decoration, modern furniture, big windows.that open properly, room 5 large, window to back. Two single beds pushed together.to make one large one. Desk, two easy chairs, tea tray, water and biscuits. Room temperature good, cosy and comfortable. Bed harder than we are used.to, but fine. Music played in evening heard from garden/kitchen. Traffic heard from road. Both windows open. Ensuite bathroom with corner spa bath (gentle and noisy bubbles) in large tiled bathroom to front. Floor slippy when wet (as warned). Shower over bath works but lacks power. Heated towel rail. Shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and soap provided, fine but not luxurious. Bath towels fairly small but quality fine. Breakfast: ordered night before, branded cereals, juice, gorgeous local yoghurts, tea, cafetiere coffee, cooked English breakfast. Food quality fine, nothing particularly stunning but all ok. Staff: pleasant, helpful, friendly, polite. Overall: Strengths: location, cleanliness, room furnishing and size, small business Less impressive: food quality very average, value for money uncertain although happy to support local family business. More reasonable price maybe £60-80, or upgrade toiletries, towel size and quality of breakfast and tea tray items..to up their game it would be nice to see local organic butcher's sausages, bacon, local bakery bread and cakes, local sustainable toiletries. How about offering leaf teas and local homemade cake in the afternoon? .

Not the most welcoming of pubs, massive screen showing darts with a group of males underneath it arguing and swearing.

Very friendly staff and good atmosphere. Food delicious and barman Aidan went above and beyond when kitchen staff had gone before we had a sweet. Would definitely come again

The second time wasn't the charm. The diner menu has changed and the cooking as well. Coordination between Booking.com and the hotel is not that great, because of which there were was some misinformation. The rooms and facilities were alright though.

Disappointed to be sat in a noisy bar was expecting a dining room .after waiting for an hour for our meal we had bog standard fried food which was adequate .drinks were nice gins lovely .paid by card and bill was much higher than expected.on querying this was refunded nearly a fiver ...barman had initially charged for bottle of wine and two whiskeys which we hadnt ordered.no one asked how our meal was .!did they know something we didnt !didnt stop for pudding .veVery disappointing

I've been meaning to visit this bar/restaurant for many years and we finally went on our last visit to Llanbedr. Quite disappointed as the food was not very inspiring. We were put in a room to ourselves, we were a party of 4 adults and 3 kids, so didn't get the being out out atmosphere. Maybe when there's new owners it might be worth another go. It is for sale so I wish them all the best.

Called here on the first night of a holiday. The outdoors bar is pleasant enough but is geared towards sports with lots of TVs. Didn't eat but the food looked nice enough.

Found this place on a sunday aboit 3.30pm every were within a 20 mile radius was closed for food and they had a live singer he was great rop marks brilliant cant stop thinking about it thank you all the staff

Cool place, friendly professional staff. Nice atmosphere. Rooms are lovely and neat. Wifi works great and set in a great location. Food is terrible which is unfortunate but plenty of places to eat nearby. Not sure how anyone cant knock up a decent burger and chips to be honest. Not rocket science.

Nice pub. nice staff and had a great covered area in the garden in case it rains (and it was!). Garden was really nice too with a barbecue area and really nice seating available dotted around the area. The pub was also dog friendly.

Rather disorganised on arrival and had to order at the bar, which was strange. Decent bottle of local Purple Moose beer but poor choice of soft drinks. Food was OK but nothing special. Overall poorly organised and not making the best of what looks like a great venue.

Shockingly bad attitudes and food ... inedible hard food had to be taken back by us as table service virtually non-existent. Items not ordered added to the bill challenged without apology. Wasted 2.5hrs here with worst restaurant experience ever. Manager / barman completely ignorant and lacking any customer service skills whatsoever....steer clear, the Victoria just down the road looks a far better option.

Quality Food and Great Staff !!!

We had a beautiful room, specious and nicely decorated. Bathroom with big bath and shower, modern and very clean. Service was good as well. There is a pub as well what is a good thing if you would like to have a few drinks or something to eat or bad thing if you are looking for quite place.

We’ve been eating at Hafan Artro for about 5 or 6 years now and we’ve loved it but ate there on Sunday and it was awful. Really disappointing Sunday dinner, in the horrible gazebo they’ve erected on what was once a beautiful outdoor seating area....

Poor food . Bad service. Choice of meals turned in to we only have chicken . Food cold .

Great food and covid restrictions in place.

Hafan Artro is a beautiful old building in the village of Llanbedr with a large garden, nice atmosphere and fantastic gin menu. I imagine it's a lovely place to stay with a front terrace and fairy lights of an evening. We enjoyed holiday drinks one night at sundown so decided to book for the last night of our holiday for a meal. Sadly the meal was the worst we have had in a pub for a very long time, battered fish from the freezer over fried, hard and a very dark brown and chicken curry that had peas, square chicken and a processed looking sauce with white rice and a very oily poppadum. My husband and I just looked at each other aghast. Such a shame as the place has real potential, don't know if the chef had a bad night or was rushed as half term but we were gutted to have spent over £30 on such poor food. Cheery, helpful and polite staff overall but one young waitress definitely needs training, verging on ignorant. Feel sorry for some businesses as they clearly cannot get the staff post lockdown.
