Have been here a few times now - Very lovely local restaurant with a lot of space to host large or small groups, very good food every time, nice relaxed atmosphere and friendly & attentive staff

Wonderful place to bring the family, amazing food and great service from Shaggy who kept us entertained, would definitely recommend!

Great food with friendly staff with cosy atmosphere. Went on a Sunday and chose the lamb shank which was cooked to perfection, vegetables were tasty and the apple crumble with custard was delicious.

I had a dinner at Hadley with some friends and was really surprised with the Sunday roast. The food was delicious and the service was great. The two lads who served me went above and beyond. Will be visiting again soon

We had my daughters 21st here and I can't fault the place. The staff were very attentive, friendly and professional. I ordered canapes and they were amazing, many of my guests said that they would be returning for a meal. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her night and I cant thank the Hadley House staff enough.

Amazing customer service, very quick and delicious food

I hosted my 30th birthday here and they were so friendly and helpful! They have a new outdoor patio area with open plan seating and it was perfect for a large party! We all had a great night.. drinks were flowing and food was good! Would definitely recommend this place for celebrations! There’s a dj too on the weekends.

The place is a hidden gem in Barnet. I have been there several times now, and the food has always been excellent. It is a lovely destination to visit on Barnet High Street!

Stayed for the night so my husband and I could enjoy some time in London. Fabulous in every way. The room was clean and comfortable and felt luxurious. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was very tasty. And a bonus is the parking nearby is free, a nice surprise for London.

Went here with the girls for a night out. We wanted a meal with some drinks and dancing. There was only a couple of other tables booked. The service was very good. We waited a while for the food, but figured it was being cooked fresh, and it was certainly nice and hot. The food was really nice, I had haddock and chips, and nicely presented. The DJ arrived after our food, and he was brilliant. Played some great music, but it was such a shame it was so quiet. The reason I gave 4 out of stars was because of the atmosphere, as it was so quiet, so no buzz. But that’s not DJ or fruit of staff. Just hope people read this and give it a try. We made best of it and danced our feet off!

Ordered a few sharing plates between us. Quite expensive and food was like Iceland's budget range just heated up! Really horrible. Disappointing. Won't be going again. Decor all wrong too. No atmosphere at all.

I hired Hadley House for a big birthday party and it certainly didnt disappoint. The Hadley team were really great during the lead-up to the party and put up with my endless emails about food, drinks, DJs etc. The venue itself is superb, spacious and has an inside and outdoor area! The staff couldn't do enough for my guests and the food (calamari, arancini, mini burgers etc) was delicious. I thoroughly recommend this venue for any event - a hidden gem in High Barnet.

I had a large table booked there months for my 50th Birthday Party (15 people due to attend). Two weeks before the event the restaurant ring me to tell me that someone has just booked the whole venue and that I would have to find somewhere else to have my party. For the record do not book this place they are unreliable and will drop you for a larger booking.

Utterly terrible steak delivered over Uber eats. Poor quality meat, cut far to thin for ribeye, then cooked to grey (which is kind) when medium rare requested. Have severe doubts about the advertised ageing. Avoid

We went to Hadley House today for a meal. The prawn linguine was delicious and I had Almond and Pistachio cake for dessert it was wonderful. Certainly well worth giving a try.

disappointed to say the least. if it was busy i would understand the slow service , however with only one other table being used i didn't quite get why it took 20 mins for a menu to even be put on the table. we waited so very long for food that didn't even taste that nice.. even had to ask for the bill twice as we just wanted to get out. won't be returning.

Lovely atmosphere, loved the tango dance event too

Every time my girlfriend and I go to Haddly House the staff treat us with a warm welcoming and face extremely cared and we receive very good service. Their food are amazing and we recommend you to try when you go there. Renato and Erion are so kind and caring. Absolutely recommend this place to try and be their regular customer like us!

What a great evening. I went to the Hadley House with my husband; sister and brother-in-law for a meal together before Christmas. We not only got a great meal, but friendly service and fantastic music to dance to as well! What a bonus! Thank you to all the lovely staff. We had a fantastic evening. xx

This is a lovely place! The food, service & price were all fantastic! It was covid safe & my friend & i felt comfortable being there.

The staff was nice. The margarita pizza was over salted. It's definitely not fresh. Not a good idea to have a table that's next to the disabled toilet. You can hear people flushing while eating.

A table of 9 for a Christmas meal; not once were we asked ”how is your food” or “does anyone need a drink” After finishing a bog-standard roast beef that was undercooked to the extent it was still standing in a field. We asked for an espresso martini, for which we were told “let me check if the bar man can make them” - they were on the desert menu lol. Good luck!

Would have been 5 if there was more draught options and less emphasis on the reservations, not much regard for regular paying customers. The utilisation of the floor space could do with an improvement, felt a bit empty in certain areas and cramped in other areas. Food however was very good and the drinks they had were also decent. Service was quick and staff were overall friendly. Atmosphere was not too bad as well. Service charge though is a little bit cheeky but the prices of the food and drink were I'd say reasonable and affordable compared to many other places in the area.

A DISASTER! I had been looking forward to a Sunday Roast for ages, as my partner had not been well for a while but is now on the mend and it was the day after my birthday we were celebrating with my daughter and son in law. When I made the reservation I made sure to tell the manager that my partner was gluten free, he assured there would be plenty of choice as they even had gluten free bread…yay! Having read the reviews I can only surmise that the good reviews were from people who’ve never had a decent roast. When my partner asked if any of the 5 or 6 dishes she fancied were gluten free she was given two choices, she opted for a chicken Caesar salad. I was the only one having a starter, a basic Caesar salad which was absolutely fine however it took an age to arrive. My daughter and husband both had haddock and chips which again were fine, however, my roast was a disaster, but more of that in a minute. After all other mains were served we were still waiting for the Chicken Caesar salad…which let’s be honest should have been a doddle? The soft boiled egg wasn’t and there was no dressing at all! The manager then informed us they were concerned that the bought in dressing wasn’t gluten free, but would get the chef to make a dressing. Back to my roast. The Yorkshire pudding looked like a pancake with crispy sides, the beef was stringy and tough and the second potato I tried wasn’t even cooked. He took back the salad and my roast and promise to return with a dressed salad and improved plate of roast in 5 minutes. 15 minutes later, the second roast looked better but the beef was tough and at least the potatoes were cooked. As for the dressing on the salad which was awful we were informed that they couldn’t use the usual Mayo for fears of contamination, and sadly the new chef couldn’t make Mayo from scratch. Come on please. Making Mayo is cooking 101, egg yolk, slowly added oil and some seasoning to taste…that’s it. The restaurant seemed far more concerned about getting drinkers bums on seats to witness the entertainment, which turned out to be a middle aged “crooner” that couldn’t carry a song in a basket. I was really looking forward to finding a great local venue for Sunday lunch, instead of somewhere I will avoid like the plague.

Great Sunday Lunch 2 of us had the beef roast and 2 had Sea Bass. Really tasty meals. Starters good too - calamari very soft and tasty batter. Staff very friendly and attentive.

We held a private birthday party recently in the upstairs events room. The manager Toni and his staff were fantastic - very friendly and helpful and offering party tips based on his experience, which was really useful. The room turned out just as we wanted it, with lights, music (our own but using their sound system), our own private bar and the most delicious canapés and buffet. All of our guests raved about the party and the venue. I would highly recommend. PS Now we just need to go back to eat downstairs to have even more of the menu :-)

Great place lively friendly had a great night.

Good food, however very slow service and staff were rude. Also, we were overcharged with shots and were charged for doubles. We were unable to resolve it on the night and and felt robbed. This review was originally poor but when I contact Hadley House, they bribed me to remove it then they would look into it. I edited it to get it resolved and they admitted that they overcharged me and offered to pay back the difference. I have asked to be refunded the difference but they have ignored me. Used to be a loyal customer to Hadley House and I am dissapointed it has gone so downhill. I won't be returning, if I could rate it 0, I would have done!

We both had trepidations about social distancing and sanitising et all, but our fears were all unfounded, there was no reason to be worried as tables both inside and and out were very socially distanced and staff were very socially aware and observed the proper protocols. There were infrared heaters outside beneath the shades, so no problems there when it became a little cool. The food was excellent and the service was extremely good. Can't wait to try their Sunday lunch; by everything I've heard from my friends, their Sunday lunch menu is a real cracker.

Service is very slow waited 1hr to order a drink and another hour to receive the order waiters are rude and clueless It was a friends birthday so didn't have a choice of not waiting but it was a thirsty wait

Great place for a meal or just a drink on a night out

Awful service. Disgusting table (wasn’t cleaned before we were seated), sat there for 20 mins before being asked for our order, 15 mins later a different waiter asked us if we would like to order a drink, at this point we were so fed up of waiting we ended up leaving promptly after this and noticing how gross the table actually was! A wasted 30+ mins of sitting there In addition to this, there was no music or sound from the tv (they was playing The Euro game) so there was an awkward silence in the room, no vibe whatsoever.

Disappointed could try a bit harder to give customers what they ask for and not replacement options without discussing first. Pretty sure I was served cod that was supposed to be Monkfish. Not cool.

Had a smashing afternoon tea today with the family. The food was great and service was excellent. We were in a room on our own which was great, very private. Well recommended.

Went for food at Hadley House with my friends a few days ago and had a bit of a rocky start as we were maid to wait for 10 minutes by a man in a blue suit, although we had a reservation & there were not many other people inside so there was plenty of space and it should have been effortless We tried to order with the gent plenty of times but he would look at us and just walk away and we found this quite rude. We were quite upset about this that we were even thinking to leave but then we finally got served by a young girl who made our experience much more enjoyable as her service was one of the best we have ever experienced. She was very happy & welcoming - something that we all felt the man was missing as we did not get a welcoming vibe from him - and it felt like you were speaking to a friend we had known for so long & not a stranger we had just met, although she was so professional. We ended up paying the service charge straight to the girl herself because we didn’t feel that the restaurant service overall was good, but she deserved it. The food itself was incredible and so were the drinks. Will think about coming back, but if we do, it’s thanks to the young lady!

food and drink was great. rule of 6 no longer applies as several booking of between 10 and 20 people permitted and acceptance of no mask wearing when walking to and from tables and facilities. staff need a lesson in how to put the masks on properly covering mouth and nose

Not fully heated outside despite website claims. Food menu is clearly a simple menu designed to make some money but without the skill to execute properly.

Manager was new and shocking..... 1st night apparently! But no excuses for him ask asking people to leave before finishing drinks/meals. Anash and Amelia both amazing staff, very attentive and good character..... Made our evening special.... food was great, slow service all round, having to wait over 20mins for menues and again for 1st drinks!!

Just had lunch at Hadley House. The prawns in white wine were very tasty and the service was excellent. Heaters were switched on for us and we were made most welcome and comfortable. We will be back.

We had such a lovely Sunday lunch ,great service and food in a beautiful new outside terrace area with a great atmosphere. Must book first .I recommend it.

The food and cocktails were excellent but the service was poor and there were a few Covid concerns. One order arrived incorrect, one starter never arrived at all (despite prompting staff) and there were long waits. I was surprised to find that the 'outdoor' space had four walls and a roof but of greater concern was the lack of masks. Our waitress didn't wear one at all and the manager wore his under his chin all evening, and was seen shaking hands.We had a service charge added to our bill despite being a group of less than 8 but asked for this to be removed.We would come again in less worrying times since the food and drink were so good but hope the service improves with practice.

Disappointed- We had made a reservation yet upon arrival there was no one at the front of the house to guide guests to their tables. After waiting for 15 mins we decided to take a seat at a table which did not have a 'reserve' sign (none of them did). Then we got told that the table was reserved for guests that arrived after us which made me frustrated since where was our table then? However, that was quickly resolved but it could have easily been avoided.. On top of that, the staff were highly unprofessional, and none of them wore a mask which made me feel very unsafe at all times. On the positive side, the place looked amazing and the food was alright so it's a shame that it lacked the basic standards of a restaurant.

Visited this place today for lunch. The woman asked if we had a reservation. We said no. Seated us at the back and when I asked how long for the food to be served, she smirked and said depends what we’re ordering. Told her but she was still hesitant and quite rude. So I said I needed to know before I ordered as we have limited time. She replied that we have walked in without reservations and there are other customers there. What on earth has reservation got to do with the length of preparing the food. Do people with reservation get served quicker. Why on earth did she seat us if reservation is required. She made feel very uncomfortable and not welcome.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Hadley House. I think we'll be making this a NYE tradition! The staff was extremely friendly, the grounds were kept nicely, and the room was clean. We didn't check out the pool while we were there since it was a bit chilly, but we definitely will the next time.

i saw a menu for this place, heavily overpriced in a bit of an unrealistic way, would recommend but with caution, be cost conscious when you visit encase you're overcharged

Thanks for bringing life back to Barnet Tony and the team. Great job love the atmosphere good drinks selection and cocktails 👍 staff are great and recommend the burgers, happy hour is great so makes for a good spot to unwind with big outside area.

Went for a meal with friends at the hotel, staff were great but the food was poor, I think the menu is trying to sound better than what is served up & a bit too fancy with the food layout on the plate, good to try the food but we won't be going back.

Lamb shank is great. Good value on Sunday with 2 courses for £17.50.
