Habaneros Burrito Bar in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

We had been walking round and round Falmouth trying to find somewhere for a nice birthday lunch. We did stop at one place and let’s just say the food left us wanting. My partner, who’s birthday it was ended up having just olives, bread and sparking water at the other place so when I saw this down a side street I said I would get him one as he was still hungry. I ordered the chilli beef one with cheese and soured cream. I got a shredded chick one we found after biting into it, but it didn’t matter...it was really lovely, huge and tasty. I would definitely go there again and make sure I got the chilli one next time....or any....there is so much choice.

Had a lovely chicken burrito very generous portion and tasty ingredients. We also had the 3 soft tacos with chilli beef and slaw, again tasty but not as much as generous as the burrito. Will eat here again when next in the area.

This place is brilliant for a quick bite, best burrito I’ve ever had. Defiantly worth visiting if in the area.

I was walking around Falmouth lookimg for food, saw this place down a side street. I har the chilli beef fajita with coleslaw and hot sauce and it was lovely. Great flavours. Next time I'm in Falmouth I will return and try something ese.

I love Mexican food and I was really happy that Habaneros had moved back to it's original shop. I ordered my standard burrito, chicken, salad, rice with guacamole, chipotle, and extra jalapenos. There was a lot of rice and it was not as tasty as I remembered, the chicken was really stringy. I will keep trying Habaneros as I used to love their burritos and I hope that maybe I just caught them on an off day.

Placed an order with Deliveroo to a very obvious address. One missed call and the delivery person was uncontactable and our order was displaying as ‘delivered’ in the app. No way of contacting the delivery person and Deliveroo was completely unhelpful. Rang Habanero’s who were baffled as the delivery person should have returned the meal… make of that what you will. However Habanero’s honoured the order, making it extra special for our inconvenience (which was no fault of theirs) and it was gorgeous as always. Thanks guys, you went above and beyond.

The best burrito ever, I had 50/50 chilli beef and vegetarian. It was packed full of devious food & flavour the onions and peppers were still firm not over cooked lovely mix of beans. My husband had the 50/50 brisket & vegetarian he also enjoyed his if we are in Falmouth again there will be another visit.

Fantastic burrito bar with a great selection of fresh ingredients to choose from. I have never had a bad meal from this place. It is hidden down a side alley so very easy to miss. I love the hot habanero sauce (milder sauces are available). Would recommend taking your food down to the harbour for a nice view whilst you eat. Benches are available a minute or two away. Time for the guys to bring back the Philly cheese steak though!

Delicious food! Choose your meal then have it with burrito or nachos etc, then choose your sauce and extras. I went for the beef mince with burrito. I had the habaneros sauce which says it’s hot but it’s not really so next time I went for the very hot option and that was nice and hot. We went twice when in holiday here as it was so delicious!

We drove from our campsite in Lizard around 15 miles to go to here last night on a recommendation of someone who had been the day before. The website & sign when we arrived suggested it was open until 8pm. We got there at 6.10pm to find it was closed. To say we were disappointed would not be even close to describing how we felt…

Ordered pork, with cheese, guacamole, fresh salsa and mango sauce. Guacamole and salsa non-existent and burrito hugely lacking in flavour. Plenty of meat in it though. Place seems to be now living on its previous reputation.

My husband and I walked past this place one day and the smell was wonderful. We returned the following day with our teenage sons and ordered a mixed fajita, two mixed burritos and a burrito bowl. I'm wheat and dairy intolerant and Habaneros offered vegan cheese. The food did not disappoint. Full of fresh ingredients and zinging with flavour. The only downside it that we don't live close enough to make it a regular thing.

Amazing food, love the 'build your own' style of the menu, lets you easily pick and choose your burrito. Excellent service from the staff.

Super experience today. My husband and I with both of our kids each ordered a Burrito and a drink. Both the kids had a shredded chicken burrito. Hubby had a vegetarian one and I had the chilli beef. £30 for all 4 of us baring in mind my kids are almost adults too. The Burritos were huge and absolutely delicious and just about managed to eat it all. Really impressed as you often find that you’re paying out a lot of money for food but not getting much for your money… definitely not the case here. Fresh ingredients, tasty and plentiful. It’s added to the list for future visits.

I've never had a burrito before but I'm converted. Really fresh tasting food. The side salad was very good and interesting which is unusual for fast food. Good choice to build your own. Fast service and good value for money.

Have been here many times with friends. I have the shredded chicken burrito with mango sauce. It is always delicious and you get a generous serving - easily enough on its own for dinner! The price was decent (about £6) and, although there isn't loads of seating in the burrito bar (although their new location on the high street means there’s more seating then before) the benches along the harbour or Gylly Beach are great places to sit and eat. Would highly recommend!

Ordering process is very easy. Staff are so friendly and nice. Wasn’t keen on the idea of burritos beforehand but now I have been converted! Honestly one of the best take out meals I’ve ever had. Highly highly recommend!!!

Really poor burrito - contents were soggy and fairly flavourless. Toppings I asked for were missing. They didn't seem to know what a soft corn tortilla was. Not sure they've ever had a real burrito, otherwise they wouldn't be serving something like this. One to avoid.

I love Mexican food. I have visited Habaneros several times and have always had the chicken burrito. It is huge, spicy and great value. I have one suggestion and that is that they should use better quality chicken in their burritos. It is stringy, overcooked and a bit tough.

Habaneros is a great little burrito bar in Falmouth. Good staff, good atmosphere and tasty quick food. The price is reasonable and there are loads of options. It’s nice that since they moved location (round the corner) they now have some more space including a little outdoor area and serve beer too. Would recommend!

We wanted something quick, cheap and filling during our visit to Falmouth so after a quick search on TA, Habaneros seemed to fit the bill. Located down a quiet side street it is just a short walk from the waterfront.

This place is fantastic. The food is amazing. A definite favourite for a quick lunch. The list of extras you can add to the basic burrito etc is great, making every order very individual and suited to anyone and everyone. Highly recommend.

I went to Falmouth to see ‘The World’ cruise ship in the harbour and feeling peckish thought that I would get a Burrito from Habaneros to take home.

Great place for something different. Nice varied menu which caters for vegan and vegetarian too. Choose exactly what you want. Delicious mexican food fast friendly service.

We made a detour here for something to eat after an afternoon at Glendurgan Gardens. Was not disappointed, wide choice of fillings, extras and sauces. They have meat fillings (chilli beef, chicken and pulled pork) as well as veggie and vegan fillings. They also do a half and half where you can choose two fillings. I had the chilli beef in a burrito with pretty much all the trimmings and it was so so tasty and filling! Staff were super friendly and helpful. Really great value too. This is a real hidden gem and we will definately visit again in future.

Excellent tasting burrito, kids meal options are great as well, atmosphere is nice with pleasant staff. Literally no wait times. The food doesn't break the bank either when it comes to pricing.

Stopped by here to grab a lunchtime eat and found it to be a banging burrito! Really enjoyed the chicken, the tacos were crispy and the gauc was fresh. The guys serving were friendly and the banter was good. We'll be back!

We holidayed in Falmouth for a week in July. Being vegan and vegetarian, we had been recommended this place by numerous online lists and it didn't disappoint - so much so, that we went back on our last night! Often very busy, the staff are friendly despite working in a busy and hot environment. Not to mention their excellent music tastes. The food is impeccable. A must for Mexican fans.

Das waren die köstlichsten Burritos ever! Allerdings waren wir noch nicht in Mexiko. Bei Habaneros stellt sich der Gast seinen Burrito selbst zusammen. Wir haben beide einen vegetarischen gegessenen und die Gemüsefüllung war sehr vielfältig, nicht nur Zwiebeln und Bohnen wie sonst. Die Saucen sind wirklich sehr scharf, daher empfehlen wir maximal die medium scharfe Soße. Alle Soßen können jedoch vorher probiert werden. Das Personal war sehr nett und das Essen wirklich heiß und alle Zutaten sehr großzügig verwendet. Bein Essen läuft die Soße heraus, daher unbedingt Servietten verwenden.

Love coming here for burritos and really enjoy them! However on a busy day a couple of weeks ago the man serving us was angry that he got our order wrong. Cussing under his breath making us feel very uncomfortable. Still got our order wrong even after trying to correct it but we were to scared to say anything back. Such a shame because other than that it’s a brilliant place to eat!

It is important to note this isn't a place you go to have a sit down meal. But, if you're fancying one hell of a burrito that you can take down to eat on the docks then this is the place for you! Amazingly tasty, reasonably priced, time and time again.

Looking for a Mexican lunch we saw Habaneros on TripAdvisor and thought we would give it a go. The menu is laid out on the wall in a step by step format that made me sound like I knew what I was talking about! There are many choices of fillings, sauces, toppings and extras that will satisfy anyone. All the food is prepared in front of you so no worries about what goes into them, once you order they make yours hand it to you then take care of the next order. You can end up waiting a while even if not very busy. We were on holiday so weren’t bothered in the least. That being said the burritos are excellent, taste great and are fairly priced in my opinion. Wish they had a location near where I live. Only complaint was my hot sauce was undetectable, not sure if not much was put on or it wasn’t very hot. I went for second hottest so was hoping for a bit of burn.

If you don’t fancy the whole burrito wrestling thing a great and crunchy alternative is a nacho box .

Have had well over 100 burritos from these guys and can honestly say they never dissapoint. Quality food. Fresh. Amazing. Ask the boys, me and my mate are in there atleast once a day. Would recommend to anyone. All reviews on here rateing this place under 5/5 are delusional. Awesome food. Awesome service.

Popped in on the spur of the moment. The fajitas were fabulous. Had pulled pork with all the trimmings. Huge portion and tasted wonderful. It was raining so ate in at the little breakfast bar. Hopefully next time the weather will be nice enough that we can try another option from the menu and eat it alfresco on the harbour.

Stopped in for lunch. Where to start massive portions definitely value for money. The Two guys behind the counter very polite and helpful. We will definitely be going back on our next visit to Falmouth.

My friend screamed about this place before I arrived in Falmouth, she had told me of her many hazy uni nights visiting this quaint establishment on her way home. We popped in for a lunch break and she warned it would probably fill us up for the day and put us off dinner, to say the least she was bang on the money, the burritos were huge! And better yet I risked the pulled pork and came out the other side feeling extremely satisfied!

Great place to pick up a tasty takeaway, knew at once this place would be good when you see people queuing outside the door, well it was the case. Each meal is made to order from tasty ingredients and we thoroughly enjoyed them. Thanks to the guy behind the counter for the advice on how to eat, that certainly saved embarrassment and was welcome.

I don't really need to say much about this place it's just perfect for burrito lovers. The pulled chicken is what shines the most in this place, it's by far the tastiest pulled chicken I've ever had. Great prices lots to choose from to customise your burrito/tacos/fajita or even nachos.

Don't be put off by the fact it's situated down a side street, the burritos are first class. Excellent options for fillings and you practically create it to you own taste. Definitely make a visit if you're in Falmouth!

This place is superb, really nice fella serving the freshly prepared food in front of you. Four Burritos had between us and boy were they good, in fact so good we are going back for our tea tonight! Great to see places like this doing well as the flavours are excellent. They even do a reward scheme that is worthwhile. We went to the burrito bar and ordered 3 burritos, a half and half pork and chicken, a chili beef and a pork. The guy serving looked like he needed a shower but aside from that my issue is with the blue gloves that are in theory supposed to protect the food from the server but if the server then touches everything with the same gloves then what is the point? The gloves were on the whole time for the entire preparation of the burritos to using the till to taking cash, fumbling around in the change part and then giving the change then right back to making more burritos! The pork wasn't hot so we didn't eat it , fearing a bout of bad belly as the food hygiene we saw was bad at best. They obviously have measures in place that look good on paper for an environmental health officer but if the operator fails to use the measures correctly then it is a wasted excersize.

Great to get something a bit different that didn't cost a fortune! Really tasty with fillings to suit everyone.

Just the best burrito ever. Bar none. I've been to the Mission in SF and had what is supposedly the best in the world, it pales in comparison to Habaneros Burrito Bar. Amazing home made hot sauces, loads of great fillings. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

Had a superb Chicken Fajita here recently. Delicious, spicy and value for money. Mexican street food at its best.Try the Carolina Reaper chilli sauce if your tough enough. One niggle, the small outside seating area was I bit grubby and needs updating.

My husband and I visited today and had chicken burritos. They were absolutely superb. Having eaten 'real Mexican ' food in Chihuahua mx we are frequently disappointed by the Mexican food offered in the U.K. However today we were not disappointed. Packed with chicken, chillies, salsa, cream, lettuce the choice is yours. The thing that sets habaneros apart from the rest are the sauces. Choose from mild and fruity up to very hot. They will make it as hot as you want. Very friendly staff, excellent value for money and the most authentic Mexican food we have eaten outside of Chihuahua. Will definitely return

Always wanted to try this place. Went to Falmouth on the hottest day and had Mexican food . It was so tasty. Sat outside and watched the people go by very authentic and such good value. Will Deff be going again. Yum

I have just had the best last-minute, fast-food dinner. Opted for the chicken burrito box which came with rice and beans, salad, peppers (extra), salsa, soured cream and mango sauce. Amazing. Freshly cooked to order and quick. We normally walk down the hill and eat these on the quayside but it was wet and wild today. This place also does loyalty cards too as well as gluten-free wraps. By far my favourite place to get food in Falmouth! The portion sizes are huge and packed full of flavour and such good value for money - you can easily feed two people for under £15. The best for when you fancy a takeaway on a Saturday night as it isn't stodgy or greasy. Really friendly and helpful staffI've been eating here for years and will continue to do so

I go here relatively often, and really really enjoy the burritos. But last time I went I decided to order some of the nachos, which were new to the menu. You could already buy a "box of tortillas" with either guacamole or melted cheese, but I was excited about the nachos. However, the box of tortilla options are between £2.40 - £2.80, whereas the nachos where £5 - and were virtually no different. I was very disappointed at this overpriced add on. They melted cheese on the tortillas, put some salsa in the box and squirted in some sour cream, then asked if I wanted any extras. I was surprised, considering the price, that there wasn't at least guacamole included, which is standard for nachos! Plus the portion was tiny. But the burrito was lovely as always.

Hmm.... It's OK. The burrito was packed full, and it's great value for money. I have to say though, I wouldn't return, as the flavours were a touch bland. I hate to say it. I expected home made tortillas... So basically it's a massive chicken or beef wrap.. Nothing special.. A bigger version of a supermarket sandwich...

Went for burrito tonight and found it to be unhygienic. The guy puts on the gloves and then starts opening the fridge to get the peppers, then gets a pan out to fry the peppers, then he's touching an old cleaning sponge, then he starts the burrito with what would now be dirty gloves. Why isn't he putting the gloves on just as he makes the wrap ?Won't ever go again. DISGUSTING
