Can't thank everyone enough for accommodating all of us swimmers this morning. We were made very welcome, it was warm ( just what we needed after out cold sea swim 🏊‍♀️ 😀) and the choice of breakfasts were delicious!! Thank you all once again & we'll see you again. Xxx

Can't answer the atmosphere as we were the only ones in there on this bitterly cold morning. Food and service were excellent. Will be using this little gem again

Loved it! Staff are so welcoming, lovely people. The menu covers all tastes and is freshly prepared. A wonderful experience.

Fabulous nachos, great service and welcome.

For our first experience, we met up with friends but by the time we left, it seemed like we had many more friends than we had when we came. Perhaps it was the Christmas spirit but the place was so warm and welcoming that we felt right at home. The breakfasts were generous and delicious as well. We'll certainly be back.

Fabulous little 'Bistro' Ava, Michèle & the staff are lovely and cater for all. The big breakfast (until 11?) Is super! & BIG! Homemade food Inc lots of cakes.

My partner and I and my partners parents stayed in Gurnard for a long weekend from the 17th November; had breakfast at the Press and had takeaway drinks also. Lovely staff, excellent service and fabulous food. I'd recommend the cooked breakfast any day. Thank you 😊

A very welcoming and spotlessly clean eaterie, with a menu that should suit most tastes. Catering for allergies/intolerances, etc. is excellent. The food is carefully prepared and beautifully presented. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our lunch!

I wasn't very impressed with the food on offer. My friend and I ordered a cheese scone which was served with either cheddar or brie and chutney (for the price I expected it to come with both cheddar and brie). A very small cheese scone was served, it wasn't particularly "cheesy" or tasty, which was disappointing. The portion of cheddar served with the scone was sliced very thinly. Sadly, I can't recommend this establishment.

Strolled in 30 minutes before closing after finishing a job round the corner. Despite not serving food after 2pm. The staff at Gurnard Press Bistro pulled out all the stops, offered to make us some food even though they didn’t have too. A wonderful establishment and I am happy to support this local bistro! I would highly recommend this bistro to anyone passing by!

I used to live the pizza here, it was amazing, I ordered an Nduja pizza like I always do, got it home and it was AWFUL, tons of stringy cheese, it used to be real Mozzarella, and just the right amount, it had big dollops of Nduja on it that had been put on after cooking the pizza, it has a thick stodgy base, totally different to how the pizzas here used to be, WHAT WENT WRONG ??

Take away for 2, what a disappointment. Very small Americano, latte scolding hot so lost its taste, one blackberry tray bake, raw crumble topping and disappointing millionaires shortbread both just 2 1/2 ins square ..just over £12 I’ve always enjoyed going here for takeaway and eat in with friends but with the added poor service in resent weeks I’m truly disappointed

We went in early on a Saturday evening and had fantastic starters and pizza. Our kids were very happy with the food and they specially looked after one of them who has autism and ADHD.

I’d heard good things about this place, so on a bike ride thought I’d stop for a mid ride coffee. Oh dear. I good the distinct impression I was cluttering the place up! Pounced on as soon as I arrived, with a look of abject horror on the servers face, and abruptly ordered to put my bike “around the side” - a driveway which had no securing points or bike rack, and not overlooked- in other words poor for cycle security. Not satisfactory. So, maybe it is good coffee; and food. Not being welcomed I didn’t stop to find out! A bit of a shame on an Island that needs its leisure spend for small businesses to thrive.

Great service and fantastic pizza. Every time. Cannot recommend enough. Visited with family of five, one for sit down and once for takeaway.

Decided to go here for a meal with family on our last day in the Isle of Wight. This place is a hidden gem. We arrived early for our booking and the staff were more than happy to seat us. Very well priced pizzas and the flavour was second to none. The service was brilliant and had to ask to add a tip as they don’t add (or expect) it. Highly recommend - if near or in Gurnard you must give these pizzas a try.

Only had the take out pizza so cannot comment on anything else. Thought the pizzas were pretty average with two being very burnt. Relatively expensive for what are medium sized pizzas of average quality.

We had driven past a few times, and finally had time to stop today - so glad we did. Lovely friendly service, pleasant and polite lady who served us. Great selection of teas and coffees. We enjoyed a cheese scone with chutney, which was very tasty, and it was great that it had been warmed up (so many cafes lack that detail). Great Flat White coffee. Enjoyed sitting at an outside table. Lovely little gifts and cards to buy too. Reminded us a lot of places you find in Ponsonby, NZ. Definitely recommend.

We visited a couple of times for morning coffee during our recent stay and after reading the reviews decided to eat there one evening. The pizza was ok, the chicken pasta did not contain any chicken and the ceasar salad was average. We had quite high expectations and left feeling quite disappointed.

Wonderful small hidden gem. Lovely food. Nice atmosphere. Clean. Friendly staff. Small outside covered seating area at front. Will definately return and tell others about the place. Doggy biscuits for sale too. Cocktails as well. Small gift section, plus paintings and greeting cards . My reviews are always totally honest. The only reason I didnt give 5/5 is because no one came to check with us during the meal if everything was ok. I always think that is a nice customer service touch. Otherwise everything was perfect.

Have been visiting Gurnard press for a couple of years now and have never had a bad meal whether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner. The atmosphere is always lovely and relaxed and the food is always freshly made and sooooo tasty! The service is always extremely friendly and the waiting on staff are very attentive. Plus it’s so lovely to see a local independent business thrive. We will continue to go back again and again.

Beautiful cafe in a nice place. It's clean inside and outside with plenty of seating 💺 spaces. The food served here is believed to be a great quality, a bit pricy which is subjective. A lot of roadside parking around and infront of the café. Friendly staff.

Popped in here with my laptop to escape the home office. Lovely coffee, great food and really friendly service. It made a great change and will be back again soon.

Went for breakfast with my son. Breakfast was lovely we both had the chilli and lime avocado with bacon, sausage and poached egg added. Absolutely gorgeous. Will be going again

Was the best breakfast we have had in the local area. We are always on the go and it was nice to have a proper meal that tasted so good in a short space of time . Highly recommend lovely staff too 👍

Come to the Isle of Wight, where the Brits go for a staycation. Come to Gurnard for the real feel of the island. And if you've made it this far, get to this great little café for breakfast, tea, or artisan pizza. Fabulous food topped only by the super service. Tipping isn't expected in the UK but go ahead here.

A lovely light lunch in a nice setting, friendly staff, all good

A gem of cafe with brilliant coffee and gorgeous food. We booked a table of 8 (7 adults and a toddler) for a late lunch and they obliged wonderfully, the staff were fantastic with our 2 year old. The menu is varied and tasty to suit all dietary requirements including vegans. We tasted the pizza, pasta and salads and they all received rave reviews from our tables. The sourdough pizza is made in a wood fired oven onsite which you can catch a glimpse of if you look down the Northside of the building. The coffee was a lovely darker roast with fruity notes which was roasted in house, paired with a homemade dessert it finished the meal delightfully. When we're on the island, we'll definitely be back.

Pleasant cafe in a residential area. Nice selection of food and drinks to eat in or take away. The only thing I didn't like was a family group who let their small children run around. Noisy for other customers and just not appropriate inside. Not the shop's fault.

what a lovely place to come this is - the staff / owners are pleasant & the food served (breakfast this time) in this converted newsagents was delicious & locally sourced. my son had entered a photo competition (sunset @ gurnard) & won 2 x breakfasts, so 6 of us joined him! & had a lovely experience; extensive menu (beverages as well as food) it was all delicious & 'gurnard press' have impressed us enough that we all decided we'd definitely be back!

We have used this restaurant a number of times this week for breakfast as well as evening mealsThe service is out of this world and the quality of food is beyond this world and the prices are very much inline for the quality and portions On a personal note I am disabled and use a scooter but the attention to meet my needs was well on and beyond you would expect which in turn made my visits very enjoyable and my business valued I would have know hesitation in fully recommending this provision and wish it well for the future and continued business growth

Popped in on a Tuesday evening & had a margarita & double pepperoni & both were delicious. The service was fantastic. If you’re in the area I cannot recommend high enough for a chilled pizza evening.

We sat in their outside area and had pizzas and salad. We went on a Tuesday in June and so had 2 pizzas for the price of one so the cost of the meal was very reasonable. I had a very good porcini pizza and my husband had the hot pizza. Both were great. We also shared a desert which was a white chocolate and raspberry concoction. Delicious. The staff were great, friendly and helpful. A great place to eat.

Great spot for a yummy pizza !!! Service team were attentive and reorganised for us to move our outdoor seating into warm indoor seating. Pizza was well made. Kids loved the margherita pizza and we enjoyed the Nduja and Pocini pizzas. Nduja definitely had a good kick of spicy keke. Was pleasantly surprise with a good selection of wine to pick from. Coffee was ok .. slightly burnt for my taste and it was missing the caramelised flavour. Definitely will be back again.

An absolute gem of a place serving exceptional brunches, very good coffee, delicious cakes and tasty, authentic pizzas. They clearly source first rate ingredients as the sausages and bacon on the full english breakfast and the nduja on their pizza are an absolute taste sensation. As a bonus they have a really good range of cards and gifts, many with a local feel so you know you are rooted smack bang in the heart of the Gurnard community.To top it all off, the setting is warm and homely and you couldn't wish for friendlier welcome for the staff. Just feels like a happy place you want to spend time in.

Lovely cafe. Lot's of choices like smashed avocado on toast and smoked salmon on scrambled egg. A welcome change from veggie burger and fries, which is the standard vegetarian option in most cafes on the island.

My mum and I had been recommended this cafe, and it didn’t disappoint! We both opted for the full breakfast, which was plentiful and very tasty. Best bacon I’ve had for a long time! Staff were very friendly :) Dogs are welcomed as well.We’ll be back again soon.

Sitting outside on a warm evening, it felt as though we could’ve been abroad. Beautiful pizzas with great ingredients - nduja, blue cheese, wild mushrooms, house made chilli oil. Friendly service with masks worn at all times - we felt very safe. Thank you for a wonderful night guys!

We visited this place following a recommendation and we were not disappointed. We were greeted with friendly faces and a tasty looking menu. There was plenty to choose from but they were flexible about the dishes so happy to accommodate fussy eaters. Perfect for brekkie, brunch or lunch and apparently they serve tasty pizzas in the evenings too. Very reasonably priced and great service. Happy diners all round.

We visited twice in our one week's holiday at the beginning of August this year - the sourdough pizzas were so tasty! I had a Porcini & blue cheese -it was so beautiful. The staff were so friendly & the place had a lovely atmosphere. Definitely visiting again next time we are in the Isle of Wight.

After a walk from Cowes to Gurnard along the front and up the hill a great place to stop off en route.Good quality food, great friendly service, nice atmosphere and very Covid aware.Our terrier also particularly likes their homemade dog treats which is an accolade in itself as he normally won’t eat them....so much so we had to buy him a bag.Will be back the next time home in Cowes.

Thank you so much for letting me my sister have all day breakfast, after it ended at 2pm. The all day breakfast really good+coffees were excellent. Ack! A gentle walk down toward Gurnard press. A lovey fresh, vibrant but relaxed cafe.The great smell of coffee wafting out of the place!The service was quick and attentive, the food was fresh and good!I’d suggest at least one less table so the patron aren’t so squashed in though!!!

What started as the local newsagents serving coffee is now a full blown cafe, you can still buy your daily paper but they serve delicious meals through the day.

I tried an unusual croissant with mincemeat filling and cream. Served warm from the oven with some fresh orange zest sprinkled over the cream. Really lovely, very rich, but accompanied by a hot latte it was a perfect duo. I will definitely be back to try more on their menu.

Such a gem. Very warm welcome and friendly staff. Lovely seating area. Delicious toasted Mediterranean roasted vegetable sandwich served with crisps. Excellent coffee from local supplier, so good we bought a bag. Well worth a visit. Some lovely gifts on sale too.

Amazing cake and coffee, we will definitely return on our next visit to Gurnard and try the lunch/brunch menu which looked good. Very friendly and welcoming staff too, makes such a difference!

Found by accident when we discovered the seafront café was closed. The Breakfast was excellent, the quality of the food and the friendly professional service. A little off the beaten path but more than worth the effort. Go!

Found this by accident whilst cycling on the island. Great cakes, great coffee,friendly staff. No more to be said. Brilliant!

Popped in for breakfast and pleasantly surprised as thought it was just drinks and cakes.Had excellent smoked salmon and scrambled egg and partner poached eggs on toast. Great atmosphere and friendly staff, busy with locals popping in for newspapers and coffees to take out.Cakes looked lovely and will definitely be returning for afternoon tea at some point.

So cosy and warm. Feels like home!
