Came here for a lovely 30th birthday dinner and the staff made the experience very special. Mirjeta in particular went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. Look forward to being back soon!

Really enjoyed the Himalayan goat curry washed down with a Cobra beer. The goat was very tender. Will definitely be visiting again.

We went to as a group of 15 people for a birthday meal. We booked via phone and not required deposit for it. As we went in, everything was set up and welcomed us. They had poppadum and dips free of charge on the table. I ordered the meat and seafood royale platter, it came out sizzling hot. Also ordered a side of plain rice. The beef choila was tasty but a little dry and the fish cake (salmon) was salty! The chicken and sheesh kebab were nice. It came with grilled onions which was complimenting well. The Himalayan goat curry, had a nice presentation and came out like a thaali style with small dishes. However, rice could have come in a bigger portion. In the past, I have ordered mutton biryani, and was tasty but it felt more like a curried fried rice than a biryani. It came with a complimentary raita. Which was lovely. Ordered, pork sakuwa for starters, enjoyed it but very fatty as it was pork belly bites. Also ordered the creme brûlée, which I loved! The service from staff was good and friendly staff, however we had to remind them of the items they had forgotten to bring to the table. Downside of this place is the difficulty of finding parking. You have to find parking on side roads residential area.

A friend and I, with whom I go out for a meal and catch-up every month or two, went to the Gurkha Royale last night for a meal, for the third time this year. The food was a good as ever, and the service was wonderful. The “Gurkha’s Revenge” wasn’t as hot as I thought it might be, however it was still delicious, as is every other dish I’ve eaten there, and they’re very reasonably priced. The service is perfect (prompt, friendly), although it’s not included in the bill and I didn’t notice until afterwards so was unable to (deservedly) tip them. If you want to do so, perhaps remember to bring some cash! I’m sure it won’t be long until we find ourselves back here again for another meal. Would definitely recommend.

Food was amazing. The staff were very knowledgeable about the menu and helped us choice something unusual for us to have. We type to select the specialty dishes everywhere we go. Their recommendations were great and suited our taste very well. Staff were so welcoming and friendly. Parking is a bit of an issue, but local roads didnt charge to park there. I just don’t like feeling I’m taking a space from the local houses. However that wasn’t the case here, there was plenty of room.

Absolutely fantastic, curries packed full of flavour, great service and nice place for large groups. The menu has a wide selection. Highly recommended and I think I will make this my regular!

I never write reviews but I am compelled to write one today! From the moment we arrived at this restaurant we were totally spoilt. The food and ambiance was outstanding and the service was impeccable. I would whole heartedly recommend this restaurant to any food lover. I forgot to pick up my coat on leaving and the management kindly offered to post it back to me as we live over 50 miles away! So kind and helpful staff. Very rare find ❤️

Popped in here whilst staying at Lego land as we didn't fancy a dry burger and chips, and I'm so glad we did. Food and service was excellent. The korma my 4 year old had was the best I've ever tasted. Can't recommend more.

Showed up 1 and a half hour before closing and they said that the chef had gone home and kitchen closes at 9. Travelled 1 hour for this place due to the great review and thought 1.5 hours before closing would be adequate. Slightly underwhelming.

Food wasn’t great. The paneer Makhani was sweet. It’s not meant to be a sweet dish. The spinach and leek bhaji were oily,soggy and undercooked. The naan was cooked for so long that it became a popadom. Our mains took more than an hour to come. Didn’t want to complain and wait for another hour. Everyone has a dodgy stomach and reflux the same night. I have seen in your other responses to dissatisfied customer. You have mentioned there is a reason why you are number one in the area. To be honest you maybe number one because the competition must be poor, if your restaurant was in Harrow it wouldn’t survive a day against the likes of Everest, Blue Ginger and The Regency Club. Really disappointed. I wouldn’t come back to this restaurant.

The service was excellent and friendly. The food was top quality and excellent value for money.

Headed here after a day at Legoland with our 3 yr old. Got a very warm welcome. Sat outside in the lovely outdoor seating area. Good children’s menu and colouring and absolutely delicious food. Aromatic and authentic - beautifully cooked. Highly recommend

Visited twice so far, and without question, some of the best food places you can go to. Their Veg. sharing platter starter is really good food choice and their Rice and Naan bread are exactly made as you ask - thin / thick / over done or normal. The staff is very helpful and exceed customer service mark. Will certainly recommend to anyone visiting Legoland or near by venues as the quality of food and atmosphere there is outstanding

Nice authentic food set in a beautifully modern setting. It was full for a Tuesday evening. 1 criticism would e to better train the waiters, there lack of knowledge of the menu showed. All 3 looked like trainee staff. Appart from that our group of 7 had an amazing night.

So in town for weekend, booked my table, didn't get confirmation phoned them they said they had the table sorted, turned up for my 7:30 table they didn't have the booking, told wait here (outside) will have a table soon, we sat down at a table at 8:50 to order. The food was bland for me and my partner who asked for her food to be mild had her mouth blown out. We finally finished/had enough left to £45 bill it was such shocking service and the night was horrible start to finish. As I write this from my toilet as you guessed it I have had explosive diarrhoea. How is this the best Indian I'm slough Slight update that has continued throughout the night I'm still sick, with a 2 hour drive home to come weekend ruined

This is my favourite restaurant in Windsor, the food and drinks are amazing and the staff are very friendly. The menu has a good mixture of Eastern dishes, there is something for everyone to enjoy. I love the Himalayan curry!

Absolutely 💯. Friendly booking, made a huge effort to make my sister's birthday memorable. They arranged the table with conffetti and gave her birthday card signed from the staff. Now the food, naans were freshly made, revenge goat curry was spicy and delicious, the prawns were tasty. Only improvement I would suggest is add indian desserts to the menu. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Absolutely love this restaurant. The food is always well prepared and served. Couple this with friendly super efficient waiting staff, its a perfect recipe....just wish it was closer to home!

Stir chilli paneer was nice but the roti is not good in the name of roti they gave us tortillas wrap and this is not good like your chilli and chicken stir fry

my friend pointed out this has been voted best restaurant in the area but i was dubious and I was right it was very disappointing the food wasnt that great the saag paneer was not saag but some watery spinach the rice was over done only thing edible was the cheese naan my friend enjoyed his chow mein i wouldn't go again

Excellent food after having long day in Legoland. Himalayan curry is must to have in this restaurant. They have got a unique blend of Indian and Nepalese cuisine. Customer service on top of good food is icing on the cake. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

I ordered takeaway three course meal for Diwali party at home. The food was sumptuous, very tasty and nicely cooked. The meat was soft and tender, not chewy at all. Everyone loved equally the veg dishes and non-veg dishes. Thank you so much.

We went for the first time on 10/11/21 and were really impressed. Great restaurant, really nice vibes and fantastic food! The staff were also warm and friendly. We look forward to visiting again in the future.

We loved it! The food is excellent, the staff are very friendly and polite. They serve Brandy correctly, warmed. They do a selection of Nepalese, Indian and Chinese food. The aesthetic is very pleasant and cozy. The prices are reasonable, we will definitely go again.

Ordered prawn skewers and there was barely any flavour on them, not even salt, infact the most tasteless skewers I’ve eaten. They said they didn’t have kids menu and that we could choose a dish and they would make kids portion. They made a huge portion and charged us full price. The chowmein noodles were so tasteless and oily and not suitable for kids. Rest of the food tasted ok. Chicken jalfrezi was tasteless and I only tasted sourness nothing else. Chicken tikka was good.Chicken Biryani was fine but the rice was a little too oily. I had asked to set up the table for a Birthday for my husband and daughter which they forgot. So that was huge money wasted for us as we could have gone to another better restaurant who would have made note of that as it was a special occasion. The staff there come over to the table too many times to check if the food is ok, which can get a bit annoying while you’re trying to eat. The Indian salad was definitely not an Indian salad - huge chunks of carrot, parsnip, full green chillies and cucumber sprinkled with some Indian spice. Overall, the food isn’t worth the price and the drinks specially water are overpriced for such an average restaurant. So it was a very disappointing experience for us.

This restaurant is undoubtedly my favorite. The most amazing service and gorgeous food. I can't wait for my next meal at Ghurka Royale. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys Nepalese / Indian food.

A birthday treat to go out here and they really looked after us. Friendly staff, excellent food - the chef came out for a chat and we talked about his passion - the food and even the spices are ground up fresh! Impressive and it shows in the quality. Goat curry was my wife's favourite -but its all excellent. Dhal was really tasty - and whats even better... took some food home so lunch today is another treat!!!!

Visited restaurant last night. What a fantastic meal we had. Staff and atmosphere was amazing. The food is of the highest quality and served super quick. I had a battered chicken in an Asian type curry source. The flavours were delicious. It is only a small place so will need to book but if you are ever in Windsor it's well worth a visit. My husband had the Chicken Korma which was also delicious. Worthy of 6 stars.

Came here based on trip advisor reviews. Good menu, with lots of dishes not on the usual curry house menu.Starters were very nice. Particularly recommend the mo mos (steamed or fried). The sauce is very good.The mains were nice but not top drawer. Our lamb was a little tough and dry.Worth a visit but not sure up to the constant 5/5 ratings given

Simply superb food and great service. The Nepalese specials recommended by waiter were a real delight a d generous portions that looked descriptively modest. Great find thoroughly recommend.

My Girlfriends father booked this and said it was so easy to accommodate 14 of us, which is a great start. Got to the resteraunt with a great welcome and seated us all and menu's given straight away. Once ordered drinks and food not long after poppadoms came out and were beautiful, very light on the tongue. The starters came with the mains but honestly that didn't matter. Had a chicken tick starter which was so so tasty I cut it with my fork. The masala was so tasty with keema naan too. As I Dove into the meal I couldn't help myself but just carry on. Didn't finish it all as full but not a aching stomach full. It was a pleasant i can have a few more beers full. Honestly I ca t recommend this enough. I just want to than kevery single person who works here from barstaff to the chef to the cleaners. The cobra beer was also beautiful on draft.... had a few of themIf your passing please come through. This is going far...... trust me

Another fabulous night here. Had friends visiting and they only wanted to eat here rather than anywhere else in Windsor due to a previous visit. Food as always perfect and beyond expectation. What makes this place brilliant is that they accommodated my friends meal preference that was not on the menu and was exceptionally delicious. Honestly just adore this place for not just the food but also for the lovely staff ❤❤

Just got back from this restaurant and had a fantastic evening. The staff are excellent and the customer service is first class. Nothing was too much trouble including sorting us a taxi as we weren’t locals. The menu has a really good choice and the food was some of the best we’ve had. Would highly recommend it and will definitely be back again.

All the staff bent over backwards to ensure we understood the menu and to chat with us. Kacie took my table booking over the phone and ensured our table was decorated a little for my sisters birthday. She also phoned on the day to see if we wanted to sit inside or out. I have used this restaurant several times recently and have never been disappointed with the quality of food, service or the price. I would recommend the Thai Green Curry, with lemon rice, fabulous taste.

My second trip to this gem of a restaurant in Windsor and I think it was even better this time. Those momo starters are amazing and my chicken saag was so tasty.The staff are great and the owner was around making sure everything was running smoothly, he's so friendly and its great to chat about his homeland because I so want to visit.Brilliant and I will be back - my wife couldn't make it and at the thought of a goat curry she is REALLY looking forward to it.

Oh my goodness where do I begin...cocktails were lush. Had a selection of 6 starters shared among 4 of us last night.We got more than what we expected that we were well satisfied. Definitely a restaurant that I'll be going to again with family and friends.

I went with my family yesterday for the first time here and we ordered quite good amount of food. Except tandoori chicken other things were not good at all. Lemon and steam rice tasted very old and we could feel the hardness in them. Also we asked them to start the heater as it was little cold but no one bothered about it. I wasted almost £100 there in the food but yes i would say place and outside sitting is quite good but not the food.
