6 of us, mixed ages Early eve so not busy Made to feel very welcome Drinks arrived immediately, nibbles and dips. Main courses slow so had more nibbles Additional drinks slow Main course bit of a mix up but sorted, 1 side dish wrong. Overall good Price fair - £30.00 per head including 2 drinks each, I'm not used to eating out!

Ok. Not the best we have eaten. Food was warm I had tikka masala but tasted very coconutty. And the keema was disappointing - no spice. But all was ediable.

Some of the food was tasteless and not as described.

I go there frequently and I am a big fan of the lamb korma with coconut curry, the atmosphere is nice with paintings and relics. All the staff are friendly

Over 40 minutes late, food was ok. Currently trying new places to see if there's any hidden gems outside our go to places. Sadly these didn't make the cut.

We visited this restaurant with my family last Saturday night. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very nice and staffs were very welcoming. I ordered momos for my starter as they are my favourite from here and they were so delicious. My main Lasun chicken was also just right the taste for me. I would definitely recommend everyone to come try and you will love it! 5 star!

Veg samosas were thick hard pastry ?! Never seen like this before. 2. Curry’s ( bhuna and dopiaza ) had no spice at all, we ordered medium. Keema pilau was just normal pilau with bits of mince. We have had lots of meals from here, all excellent until today…..

We have been ordering from here for a few years now, and they never dissapoint, tonight delivery 30 minutes earlier than expected. Top service, amazing food, chicken Tikka and Nepal recommended.

Super place for a nice curry. Good staff, nice food and staff. Curry is well spiced and nan bread very fresh and light. Just needs a bit more meat on each dish.

My partner has been coming here with work party's and as I'm a curry fan recommended I try for myself, exceeded expectations, food very flavoursome with all the different spices coming through the dishes, I've tried a lot of curry restaurants and this is up there with the best ,compliments to all involved.

Gurka Curry Nights did a great job of catering for a large group and the food was delicious, as always. Service was little slow, but to be expected for a group of 14. Great choice of Nepalese and Indian dishes. Delicious naans, however the peshwari naans were far too sweet.

First time eating here and it exceeded our expectations. Food is amazing and service is brilliant! I had a Lamb Shazlik it was very tender and tasted beautiful. My family really enjoyed their meals too.

We ordered a takeaway, three meals (two with rice) four poppadoms and two garlic nann came to £42 :-) Food tasted great, although I do feel my Madras could have done with more meat. Very tasty and great service, I would actually like to dine in here as it does look nice when I came in to collect my order.

Celebrated my 66th birthday here with friends and family. The service was excellent the food was excellent everything was excellent. Definitely recommend going here.

Best takeout curry I’ve had in Stapleford! The tikka flavouring used on the chicken delicious. Korma sauce was beautiful. Decent sized Nan and large portion of chips! Very kind and friendly 5 star hygiene rating Will be recommending and coming back

I visited Gurkha Curry Nights based on word of mouth with a mate and am so glad I did! Whilst it was on a Tuesday night we visited the restaurant wasn’t too busy, the ambience and food was perfect! I opted for the bhuna and it was just fantastic! Absolutely worth a visit!

Been here a few times as it’s our favourite curry house around. We travel 12 miles to get there but it’s worth it. The good is exemplary and the service top notch!

ordered for 7 came after rang up 7.50 and they said they dont take ordered after a time , ordered this about 4 ish so i will not order again.

We've had a takeaway on a couple of occasions from here, and we've never been disappointed. Easy to order, great food, and a very fast service. Highly recommended.

Disappointed with Gurka Kitchen. Went for family curry. Ordered Gurka Royal lamb. Cost £15. Came with small rice and naan. The curry was in a small pot with 5 tiny pieces of lamb in it. Total rip off. Similar for rest of family. Wont be going again as there are far better curry houses in area, cheaper and a fair portion size.

Ordered for 19.45. Rang at 20.00 told it was on its way, Call from delivery 'lady' asking where we were as she was lost!! Complained when she eventually found us - said is it still hot - played with our food in the bag to check! Bland food - four or five bits of chicken with mush sauce for both. Will not bother again.

Excellent food and great service, all dishes are different, there are the usual curries one expects, however Nepalese is a speciality, been a few times and ordered takeaway, never been disappointed, excellent quality, takeaway is also the same quality, some takeaway restaurants use the same gravy/sauce for everything dish (this has been tested with a large orders) this place doesn't. Would recommend, still going and ordering.

Low prices, great food, friendly service and a traditional atmosphere. Four of us had beers and a bottle of wine to share, plus naan and poppadoms with main meals for less £80. A relatively large restaurant to the east of Stapleford, just up from the Horse and Jockey pub. Some classic indian curries plus some Gurkha themed dishes. Slightly sweet style, very reminiscent of the now closed Bengal Spice in Long Eaton.

Very friendly service, great food- the lamb in particular was incredibly tender. Momos were also delicious.

Ordered food at 7.09pm been waiting for 1 hour and 40 mins, called them and they said they left 5 minutes ago and 20 minutes later still waiting, food came at 9pm and was cold, definitely won't be going back again

Do you like sugar? Definitely for you. I don't, the tikka was like treacle and the Royal chicken taste like dry chicken and the lamb was clearly Mary's as it stayed hidden for the whole time. Maybe on the right day this is good but today it wasn't.

Absolutely love this place. The staff can't do enough for you. We asked if they could do a starter that wasn't on the menu, they didn't bat an eyelid. The food was excellent and the price was reasonable. If there were six star's I would choose that one.

Driver made an unnecessary comment of us “loving the food” as we use this Indian often, don’t really know what they was trying to imply about us. But was very rude and quite and uncomfortable comment. Had to just laugh it off. Was very much mortified at the comment.

went there for takeaway, had upset stomach all day next day, ( not the usual etc) cannot recommend due to this, food was average, sauce in madras which was purchased was congealed and not slightly runny like it should b, have had better so will not b visiting again

Pretty tasty, madras had a spicy kick to it. 2nd time trying, would go back and try more dishes.
