Ground Espresso Bars in Lisburn

Food always nice... Definitely a place to go. Johnny always friendly.

It's now a bad spot for a coffee or drink. Whilst this is better than other Ground cafes, where lots of the food is left out in the open and not covered enough to keep it away from insects.

Used this facility a couple of times only. I don't like paying £13 for 2 coffees and 2 traybakes.

Delicious range of savoury, sweet treats and drinks! Loads of seats. Only downfall the cakes didn’t taste quiiite as good as they looked (but still very nice and a great selection)

Called in with my husband and 1 year old. Place was realativly busy, however it was difficult to find a clean table. I had to clear a table in the corner for us to sit. There were food bits on the floor, general grime, dirt, and both tables had dirty plates and trays - no one came to clear it during our time there (approx.45 min). High chairs are available. However, these were also filthy - food inside them, dirt, and grime. I had to use a milton wipe to clean one before I put my baby into it. Tray bakes and coffee were very good - however, a complete deep clean of the premises is seriously needed.

I normally like Ground but this places coffee are not on par with the other ones I've been to, disappointing

Lovely coffee and the salted caramel brownie when heated is to die for 🤤 Also possibly the best customer service from one of the male members of staff. Didn’t catch his name, but if you’ve been in, you will know who I mean.

Dropped in for a quick coffee while out meeting people, coffee was great, service was excellent, tables could be cleared quicker but very busy wee shop and didn't bother us at all, didnt try any food but drinks were superb and good value

I have no complaints about the service staff or food/coffee. All of it is great. However... They have setup with a "smart parking" service that has sent me a £100 fine a month and a half later as I stayed over 3 hours (while I was a paying customer here, working on my laptop). As I paid cash I have no receipt, but have tried appealing. Unfortunately it has put me off returning. What kind of coffee shop limits your ability to work there, then fines you after buying their product and using their service. Smartparking is a joke

Arrived 40 minutes before close, got refused a proper cup becaise they only wanted to hand out takeaway as closing in 40 minutes lol

Always helpful, great coffee and food

Stopped in this afternoon for a quick bite of lunch and was not disappointed. Lovly staff and friendly service with a beautiful bacon n soft cheese beagle washed down with a gorgeous capo ... go soon

Came here yesterday for takeaway. We both went for the sourdough ham+cheese toastie with a tomato relish type sauce in it too, lemon drizzle cake and the Berry smoothies. Came to £22 for the two toasties, two bits of cake and 2 smoothies which is decent price. The toasties came with a sauce dip too, which was incredible! it was a spicey mayo type sauce, delicious. The toasties were amazing I'd definitely come back for them. The portion size of the lemon drizzle was great and the smoothies were lovely too. The two young lads working there were very friendly also, will definitely be back!!

My favourite coffee shop in Lisburn. The staff have always gone out of their way to be nice to me and my messy, noisy toddler! Part of the Breastfeeding Welcome Here scheme, which is good to know if you're a first time mum lacking a bit of confidence. The Nutella sponge and salted caramel brownies are THE BEST.

Nicest coffee and service around. Multiple options if soy/almond etc milk and the guys always remember your order. Usually the highlight of my morning but they need to get some vegan food in.

Disappointing lack of attention to sanitising tables - we had to do it ourselves using wipes we happened to have with us. I doubt if there is enough of a gap between tables to allow proper distancing

Had lunch here and i have to say it was lovely. Staff were pleasant and it was a clean environment. Worth visiting for a coffee and sandwich etc.

Nice open bright cafe , plenty of USB ports, but check they work before you pick a spot to sit. The good food sells out By early afternoon, seems it’s geared for real early crowd. Service is ok. Have been about 4 times last summer but stopped because it’s always toooooo warm inside and after a large cappuccino I’m perspiring and steaming up the window, but maybe it’s just me?

Ground is very handy to the nearby PureGym, so its a regular stop after a workout. Handy parking and spacious. The food is very good and tasty. The coffee is fresh and the choice is good. The one downside is the furniture - its like ex-Pierre Victoire and could do with being upgraded to some decent seats. Prices are pretty good and service is helpful and consistent - there is a wide variety of clientele and its a lively atmosphere. Recommended for meeting friends and couples for a catch-up.

While this coffee shop might be busy at times when we visited it had plenty of customers sitting but we didn't have to wait to be served. Service was good but while we enjoyed our coffees one of the staff members decided to move chairs and mop. This was at 3.00 pm, so not near to closing and there didn't appear to be any spills. The rest of the floor was going to need a good mop at the end of the day so really felt the scoring if metal chairs at the adjacent tables rather unnecessary.

First visit here but greeted by the two male members of staff like old friends. Very impressed by their friendliness. Food however not so much. Bacon butty had too much fat and could have been better prepared.

Tasty food, good variety. Staff are friendly. Clean venue. Coffee is very good. Nice touches like crisps on your plate.

Only one guy serving coffee. His name was jonnie. And I have to say ge was brillant. Coffee was great and he got through the queue in no time at all. Best coffee I've had in lisburn. Perfect amount of vanilla in the coffee. Great service . Only negative is that there is no healthy or sugar free treats. Keep up the great work

11/8/19 Extremely disappointing experience, the employee who served us was rude to the point of being cheeky, coffee was average and the floor around the table area was so dirty I couldn't set my bag down. I'm a big Ground fan but wont be rushing back here.

Not sure I'm fond of this Ground location. When I visited it was late afternoon and the place looked a bit worn and had food crumbs etc on the floor, tables felt sticky. Not impressed, unlike other ground locations close by !!

Nice coffee sweets poor. Don't like the way the Sweets are not covered. Would call again

Coffee was good. But the service is very slow, even with 3 people working behind counter. Lucky I was not in a hurry.

This is a great wee spot to call for a coffee and something yummy whether you’re looking for sweet or savoury snacks. The staff are busy but still polite and helpful. I keep coming back because it is so pleasant

Really don’t rate this coffee. Like Starbucks.

Was in today 15th November. This place needs the tables cleaned and floor regularly cleaned. Had to sit down at dirty table with crumbs all over it. Seemed short staffed but no excuse. They heat the paninis in a high-powered microwave so Panninis are not served flat and crispy like they are with a hotplate toaster.

Disappointed that the only veggie option was a beetroot coloured wrap with unidentifiable veg filling....looked and tasted like a cooked Christmas rolled up napkin.. really isn't hard to make good tasting veggie food...see Avoca cookbook!!

There's nothing flowery about this coffee experience, but there doesn't really need to be - it is minimal in its presentation, but practical. There are power points across the establishment, and wi-fi, making it easy to use a computer, or charge a mobile phone. But the real star if the show is the coffee. I had a flat white and my wife had a latte, both of which could only be described as excellent. The eats were equally impressive. My wife had a Portuguese tart which she almost immediately declared 'too good to be shared.' I had a raspberry and white chocolate muffin. The trouble with muffins is they can be heavy and dry - not this one. Light and fluffy with a generous presence of both raspberry and white chocolate. What more can I say?

Popped in for a quick coffee. Coffee was good and muffin tasty - good value too. Would have scored higher if service was better. Staff happy to chat away behind the counter rather than serve!

Handy coffee shop but they list different scones but they never have them when you ask lose 2 stars

This was my first visit here and to be honest I want very impressed, It was about 3 o'clock and my friend and l ordered a coffee each and were told that the guy behind the counter would bring it down to the table. My coffee was brought over and then a few minutes later my friends was. I asked for a spoon and some milk and was told it it was supplied on a table somewhere. The guy brought them over but was clearly not too happy to do so. To my mind if someone says they will bring the coffee it is all or nothing. l found the place noisy because of the concrete floor, the music and the coffee machines which were extremely noisy. There also was also some disagreement going on with a customer and a member of staff which looked quite heated, Not a place l would recommend for a quiet chat

My daughter, granddaughter and me were having a scone and tea and coffee here today. They also do free toast for toddlers.

Nice coffee, love the bacon and pancakes with syrup, convenient location in Lisburn - staff friendly and good at their job. What's not to like.

Best coffee shop I’ve been to in Ireland. Having relocated back to Ireland earlier this year , I really struggled with finding a good expression bar. I happened to stumble across this cafe and I’m so happy I did. The coffee is as good as Australian coffee and the food is really amazing too. The staff are really accommodating and it is relaxing in the sit down area. Love this place. Always make a stop when I’m travelling to Belfast. Other coffee bars in Ireland should take example from these guys! 5⭐️Guys.. keep up the great work 😊☕️🙌🏻

I enjoy the coffee and service but they are very slow are cleaning and clearing tables. I’m there at the moment. My table has not been cleared since the last customers using the table left. The staff are chatting behind the counter. I’ve now finished my meal. They are not busy. Very poor.

Called in on Sat afternoon to treat my son with an Oreo Shake and a bun and Latte for myself - not made feel welcome, made to feel we were an inconvenience, drinks served in plastic take away cups and treats wrapped in plastic plus the pastries at the counter were uncovered and had flies over them - definitely won't be in rush to return, please take note management. Sat 24th November 2018.

We called in yesterday to try Ground and v impressed- coffee was lovely and there was a wonderful selection of sandwiches, traybakes, scones and the most amazing donuts. Staff helpful and friendly and our coffee and scones reasonably priced- will definitely go back

Nice place, concrete floors modern aesthetic + ethical coffee and good food.

Disappointed. Tried this as an alternative to my regular haunt in Costa. Staff friendly enough, but atmosphere not really relaxed or at all cosy - a bit 'industrial feeling (I mean the design of the ship) plus too warm and music too loud for my liking. More importantly, the coffee was overpriced (upper end of normal for chains) and too weak (certainly much weaker than Costa). Some of thus may be just personal taste so make up your own mind, but I'm afraid I won't be back in a hurry.

A lovely spot to chill, drink great coffee and be served by excellent friendly, courteous, professional and well trained baristas. The bar/bistro approach works and the atmosphere within the building is excellent. I have no hesitation recommending going into the Ground.

I do not just 'like' coffee .. I LOVE it !!! I have been in every coffee shop in Lisburn and nowhere else comes close

Great spot for lunch with good options on the menu. The staff know their stuff regarding coffee and happy to assist with choices. On this occasion I had mine brewed at my table which was a unique experience. The coffee bar was clean and inviting. The outside area also looked inviting. Staff were attentive without intruding. Would recommend and definitely re-visit.

This place is ideal if you want to have a quiet coffe, read the papers, meet up with friends etc. It's very bright and not overly loud. Staff are very pleasant and you can park right outside for three hours for free. Have sampled a few of their bites and they have all been good.

Best of the coffee chains buns are nice and love the bacon bagels coffee is great regularly come in for a vanilla latte although their mocha and Americano are equally lovely I must also say the staff are so friendly and chat away to you plus it's only ten mins from my house, so great.

Coffee very nice also the scone. Music playing was way to loud had to raise our voices to carry on conversation. Basic decor. Would go back.

Food is lovely. The tray bakes and buns are the nicest I've had in a cafe chain. This one In particular is never that busy in the evenings which I'd imagine would be peak time. So if your looking somewhere quiet to meet friends it's a good place. They also have charging stations along the wall so it's a really good spot if you wanna sit and work alone too.

Great spot for coffee, they have a special section on the menu for Areopress coffee and other brew methods. The carrot cake is unreal

I've enjoyed having lunch a couple of times and had a few coffees with cake. Hard to beat in Lisburn.
