Greens in Belfast

I used to love Green's pizza on Lisburn Road - the pizzas were great, and the toppings more interesting than most places, so I was keen to try the Ballyhackamore branch. Perhaps the menu has changed, but my pizza at Ballyhackamore was thoroughly underwhelming, with copious amounts of congealed cheddar cheese. Nothing great about the base either - honestly, shop-bought oven pizzas have tasted better, have more topping (beyond cheddar cheese) and are much cheaper! It really was disappointing. Service was a little slow, but I know it was busy that evening, so that's probably to be expected

A large group of 27 went today for lunch. The whole team were very helpful in preparing in advance, opening up before their normal hours to accommodate our group. The food was delicious, with and an array of choices; everyone received their meals promptly too. Kellie was very polite and efficient in serving us. Hats off to Greens Pizza (Ballyhackamore), I would highly recommend for anyone and especially larger groups like ours!

Visited greens for the first time on Saturday night and was amazed! The food was great but the service really made the experience. The 2 lovely girls serving us were nothing but polite and helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure my son with a nut allergy was catered for. Smiles on their faces all night which is always refreshing! The chef aswell was lovely and ensured to greet everyone coming in and out of the restaurant. We had 2 large pizzas and 2 kids meals which I believe was around £50 including drinks, which is a fair price to pay. Will definitely be back

I've always liked Greens in Ballyhackamore. But the simple fact is that the food and the service have gone downhill while the prices have gone drastically uphill. £84 for 2 medium pizzas (which are actually small), 2 large pizzas (which are not particularly big) and two side salads. Oh, sorry- plus corkage on a couple of bottles. Service was slow despite the restaurant being virtually empty and elements of the order were missed. To be fair to Greens, it is just jumping on the boat that local hospitality in Northern Ireland is currently manning and that is the the good ship "Rob The Customer Blind" and blame it on everything over the last few years. Sorry Greens, but I won't be back in a hurry.

Sometimes you are just lucky. We had rung around looking for a table in a neighbourhood restaurant without success (Friday night) and just happened to walk past Green’s. A table for two was free immediately , the staff were friendly and efficient and the food was great; the pizzas were excellent (lovely thin crusts) served with a bowl of salad and followed up with affogato. Lovely, lovely atmosphere.

We have supported Green’s Pizzeria but for no longer. Two very poor experiences after giving a second chance recently and failure! Delivered cold by delivery guy on a bike and had to reheat. Wait times are ridiculous. The management could do a lot better as we think the chefs do a good job.

Ordered a takeaway tonight from Greens Ballyhackamore it has to be the worst food and customer service I’ve ever had. Some of our food was off and smelt horrible. I phoned and spoke to a very hostile older lady who was more worried about how many time I’ve been to Greens. She gave me a refund on the salad only (in change) after I paid by card I advised her we could not eat the rest of our food because the salad has made us feel I’ll. The manager could do with some customer training.

Manager is unprofessional and rude. My sister got an inedible pizza covered in garlic, I smelt it from the toilet. She sent it back and ordered plain. They charged her half price for the inedible pizza Disgraceful Any other restaurant would apologise and replace it. She was charged for new Pizza and half of the inedible one. I questioned it and she was SMIRKING as she said you have to pay for it anyway. Told her she ruined my birthday and she smirked and walked away. so rude. We will never be back Avoid at all costs. Really enjoyed our pizza and the atmosphere was really good as well. The dragon garlic bread was really good and the pizza base was thick and delicious. My kids who love pizza declared it the best they had ever had!

Second time eating from here, first time we sat in and service was quite poor and timing was bad (we were only 3rd table in) although the food was lovely! Ordered to collect as they weren't doing dine in tonight and my order was half an hour late from collect time, we weren't given the garlic bread and the food was absolutely tasteless. We were so looking forward to this as it was lovely last time and this was our rare treat. Sorry to say we won't be back.

Popped in for a spot of lunch. Staff were attentive and friendly. I had the Chilli and Bacon Penne Pasta, which was lovely, however it was quite spicy and I generally don’t have any issues with food being too spicy. So perhaps, if you prefer milder food you might want to avoid this dish.

I’ve passed this place a hundred times and more but had never eaten there. Because I was with a family with a young child it was the perfect place. Very much geared up for families. We had an excellent dough sticks with dips and cheesy garlic bread starter and a range of pastas and pizza. Good food, good value and a lolly for the little guy. Great service and friendly staff too.

What a fantastic experience we had at Greens. Out for birthday celebration we were well catered for at Greens. The staff are so friendly and professional we couldn’t ask for better especially Chris. The wide choice of toppings made it difficult to decide but the food was beautiful. My Young grandson had already eaten but the staff looked after him so well with mini pizza, juice and even an ice lolly. I cannot recommend Greens Highly enough. First class food & service. We will be back plus 2 for 1 Tuesdays.

Can't understand the negative reviews about the staff or food. I have eaten here on several occasions (last week was the most recent) and without exception the staff have been both friendly and efficient. The pizzas are great and on Thursday night you can get a decent enough bottle of Prosecco for a tenner. Definitely not as intimate as some restaurants but for a casual meal I can't fault it.
