Grant's in Omagh

We were there for my wife's birthday with a wide age range. Staff could not have been more accomodating and service was very good. We were very happy with the food served as well! Lived up to its deserved reputation!

A very friendly pub with great staff and atmosphere. The food was fab. Home made Carmel cheesecake was my favorite as a dessert fanatic. Unfortunately we missed the trad session on the Sunday night. Will return again. Margaret & Larry.

First class service from the moment I arrived here yesterday evening. I was warmly greeted and brought to my table. I had the most incredible chicken wings as a starter - simply the best I have ever eaten in my life, full of flavour and piping hot. To follow, I had the Boston Steak as a main - cooked perfectly with an accompaniment of sautéed mushrooms and onions and gratin potatoes - Again, absolutely flawless. I had a salted Carmel Brownie with ice cream for desert - gorgeous. I have dined here on numerous occasions and it never fails to impress. Service was very efficient and all the staff working there are extremely friendly. The atmosphere was very relaxed and I was not rushed. I simply could not wish for better food anywhere and have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant to anyone. Paul.

Never disappointed every time we visit.A large table of 13 people young and old and everyone was really impressed with the food and the service by the staff I had Sunday lunch Turkey and Ham and it was delicious.There was several different selections that people had seafood/steak and seafood risotto and everything was perfect Few beers and a dessert to round off a lovely dining experience Definitely will be back to sample the Boston beef my two lads were raving about

Visited with my wife. We had the halloumi cheese and chicken teriyaki to start and bream and Boston beef fillet as main course and shared crème brûlée. We both really enjoyed our meals and all of the food we had was really delicious. Service was very good and attentive. In my opinion certainly the best food for miles around. Looking forward to next visit!!

I’ve probably already reviewed Grants but credits due where credits due. Unbelievable food and the service is first class. Yes it’s pricey but you get what you pay for. It’s a lovely treat. Definitely the best restaurant in Tyrone.

15 of us arrived for a 50th birthday. We were brilliantly looked after food was fabulous- beautifully presented and delicious. Really great value for money

Called in today as we Hungary. We are not locals so took a chance. We were greeted by lovely welcoming staff who were very busy , however they made us feel comfortable and we ordered. We were asked if The toddler with us wanted a baby bowl of dinner and for it to be brought out while we waited on ours. Well , I kid you not , he devoured every delicious mouthful. I’ve never tasted gravy like it. Everyone of us cleared our plates with gusto. The staff member Ciaran was a credit to the establishment; nothing was any trouble. We LOVED our food , our service and couldn’t recommend this place highly enough.

Absolutely "taken" with this place. Delightful decor. Very nice food. BUT ... best of all ... the SERVICE! I have not found service like this place in Northern Ireland. Despite the fact that the restaurant was busy at a peak time on a Sunday lunchtime and with at least TWO birthday parties going on the waiters and waitresses were MOST attentive and pleasant, with NO sense of hurry or impatience. My wife and I were celebrating 31 years together and this restaurant was a wonderful choice and made our day. THANK-you, Grant's and all your staff for a wonderful experience!

It was my first time visiting but certainly won't be my last. A menu with lovely variations to the normal dishes. They have added their own garnishes and spices which allows for a real lovely attack on the taste buds. Staff were excellent.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary with a fabulous meal in the restaurant. We had very attentive service with excellent social distancing. Very enjoyable , highly recommend and planning our next visit.

Family meal one evening - menu still much as before, but still good quality and service. Comfortable decor and friendly staff made our meal a very relaxed and enjoyable occasion.

Had a beautiful meal this evening, chicken teriyaki with an Asian slaw for starter and the hake for main. Both were absolutely delicious. Fire was on creating a lovely warm atmosphere and the service provided by Ciaran and James was excellent. Can't wait to return again

We took my mum for a late Sunday lunch yesterday here. My mum is in a wheelchair and needs room to move, but also tables that you can wheel the chair under.

Our B&B; hosts recommended another place where we ate the first night and were disappointed so we were happy to find that Grants was top notch. We had local seafood and it was well done. The wait staff were nice and so was the ambiance.

I don't normally use trip advisor in order to select a place to dine.... however myself and my colleague were staying in Omagh tonight on business for the first time... so my collegue selected grants from looking at the trip advisor website.

Visited Grants a few weeks ago with American relations. Superb food and peace to enjoy it..Service was a tad slow,,but we were probably blethering so much that the staff were afraid to interrupt us..Definitely a good place for a night out.

It was the turn of our friends in Omagh to propose a restaurant for our quarterly meal and catch-up and we were very satisfied with their choice in Grants. For a Saturday night the parking was fairly straight forward and the reception we received from the staff was very good. The atmosphere was perfect, low lights and although the restaurant was full at no time did we think we were being overheard nor did we hear anyone else talking. The quality of the food was as you would expect, the fillet steak and sea bass were two worth calling out. The only criticism we would have was a couple of all mistakes, one when we ordered two pints of Guinness and only one came and when we ordered two sweets and again only one turned up. We mentioned this to the waiting staff and they rectified the issues immediately. Price reasonable. Recommend it....

Visited Grants for Sunday lunch and it was very disappointing . The soup was ok but the Turkey and ham dinner was school canteen quality not what I expected from a 4* trip adviser reviewed restaurant . The roast potato that over cooked it could not be cut. Sorry I won’t be visiting or recommending . Lots of better places around . Sad as it’s a lovely little cosy venue.

For some reason this is the spot my friends always pick for dinner. I go every time with an open mind. This time I'm happy to say the food was great and the service was good but the heat in the restaurant on a quiet Friday evening was ridiculous!

My wife and I went to Grants last night and I have to say the food was excellent. The staff were courteous and attentive without being intrusive and the meal was served quickly and professionally in nice surroundings. One slight improvement I would suggest would be to change all the light bulbs which are currently out in the main restaurant......just a few too many. We will be back.

Started very well.great buzz about the place loved the decor,loads of staff.arrived at 7pm,order took at7.20 starter arrived at7.30 ,very nice but we waited and waited for our mains,served at8.30 ,the waitress was annoyed we complained and quite rude.Miles the resterant manager was very appologetic but for our first visit,the damage was done,

I eat in Grants every so often and the food is great every time. My usual favourite would be the duck which is superb but I recently had the Boston Beef which was also amazing! I always love coming here for special occasions as I feel Grants is just that little bit more. Would highly recommend

We always find that the service and quality of this restaurant meets our expectations every time. It is the first choice for my wife and she specified it when our son took us our for Mother's Day. It did not disappoint.

Myself and 3 friends went for dinner to Grants of Omagh on Saturday night and I would highly reccomend it.My boyfriend had the garlic mushrooms for starter and they were delicious .We both had the fillet steak and it came with chips .overall the meal was delicious and the staff were very friendly and quick service.

We popped in for a dinner without booking. Place was packed on a Sunday evening after a Gaelic football game that day. Service was very friendly and suggested we could be sitting at the bar before we’ll be seated. Had a basket of garlic bread there. At the table, we ordered a steak burger, which came with chips and a very nice mustard sauce. Really good. We also had lamb, which was also delicious. We’ll definitely pop in again.

I’m not a fan of Sunday lunches generally but Grants does it very well. Really friendly helpful staff.

Starter arrived very quickly garlic mushrooms and were nice then came the weight 40 mins for main was a bit over the top for being the only ones in it when it did arrive was delicious beef stroganoff would reccomend a visit just don't be in a hurry

This being our first time in Grants my wife and I were just willing to take our chance. From the start we were impressed by he knowledge of the staff when we questioned some of the items on menu. It is always a good sign when the staff are aware of what is being served to the customer. Our starter was prawns for my wife and I had potato skins which where full of flavour. Our mains were fillet steak and I had the catch of the day which was brill. I could go out about this meal but will sum it up by saying the steak was cooked to perfection and the fish just so full of flavour. The sweets just were the icing on the cake(sorry for pun) my wife had raspberry cheese cake and I had crème brulee with a rhubarb compote, it has to be the BEST I have tasted. In all this was such an experience of food heaven, this is yet again a hidden treasure and WELL worth a visit if in the area. Thanks to all the staff for their welcome, service and especially their FOOD.

Excellent Restaurant in Omagh. Staff are very friendly and helpful.The food is well prepared and presented....and the prices aren't bad either. Haven't had a bad meal in it yet. The decor of the inside lends itself to comfort and informality. Great to see the log fire lit on the cold days!! Nowhere else as good as this.

Poor meal, felt it was threw together from leftovers. We had to wait for ages. I used to like this place but I won't be back.

I booked here for a family of six for an early Sunday evening meal. We had planned to come Friday night, but my wife felt ill and we cancelled. Cancelling was fine and courteous and the lady on the phone invited us back when my wife felt better.

This was my first visit to Ireland and the first Restaurant I visited. The bar is now set extremely high. Beautiful atmosphere, excellent food and brilliant service. What more can I say!

made a snowy difficult trip from ballymoney to omagh to have a night out in grants for my birthday on Saturday night. Service was extremely slow. Ordered only mains which took an hour and half to appear meaning we were eating extremely late at 11pm. Had been looking forward to dessert but as only eating and finishing up closer to 11.30pm it was a mix of being too late in addition to fact that we were not offered dessert or tended to after meal. We stated our opinion to staff upon paying the bill as the time inconvenienced our plans for the night but no ammends made.

Worst experience ever! Booked table for 9.30 , waited ages to be seated then took hour and half to bring two steaks! Was 11 before got food! Then nobody came near to clear plates or offer desserts! 11.40pm I asked for bill and expressed my opinion to staff I was unhappy with service! Staff did nothing to compensate for our night! Night was ruined over whole meal! Late getting out and was in terrible humour over how staff treated us! Worst restaurant in Omagh district for service!

Grants has a cracking menu - diverse and very well presented by the superb staff. The restaurant itself has some great corners for an intimate dining experience or large tables for a big party. The wine list is excellent too!

We tried this restaurant after reading some review and we were looking for something local.

I ate at Grants with a friend on a Wednesday evening. The menu was varied and reasonably priced. For mid-week there was a nice atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful but not over the top. The food was delicious. Would definitely come back.

Found the access into grants very easy and level. The food was of very high quality. I had the venison and my wife had the duck. The staff where very friendly and courteous. Nothing was a problem and food was served with a smile. For the quality of the food the prices were very reasonable.

Been to this restaurant in the past but it fell out of favour in recent years. However, they have changed many aspects of the venue notably the level of service which is more professional, the range of drinks including the wine range and the bar staff who know what they are doing. And also the standard of the food has improved immeasurably which is no longer based on quantity but on quality.

What a beautiful meal and what wonderful Service. Grants consistently provides premium service and delicious food.

Called in at 6:00 pm on a Tuesday evening and the restaurant was not too busy. During the course of our meal, more customers appeared. If they can do that on a cold Tuesday evening, they must be doing something right!

We (a group of 5 couples) came to this place for dinner. The place is nicely decorated, the atmosphere is special. We received very kind service, helpful recommendations, everything with a smile and patience. Everything we ordered was very delicious, the house special filet steak was superb!!! This was our best meal of a 10 days trip!! Highly recommended

I have never entered to Omagh for food in my life nor have I ever wrote a review in my life but I feel I should warn people of how bad the food I had on Sunday last actually was. I ordered a chicken strip type starter with a red sauce I had one bite (may I add I was starving) my GF had Garlic Mushrooms which she said she enjoyed. For main course I had turkey and ham and only ate the turkey and half of the ham didn't touch the colds sides on the plate then I realised the under side of my ham was shining like a scale fish obviously had went bad!!! My son had chicken gougons and chips which he only ate the chips and after tasting his chicken o could understand why (my child is only 5) my GF got a burger and chips and requested it be took home and we through it in the bin as soon as we got home the meal cost around 50£ and it was abyssal purely disgusting I don't know how anyone could even let that happen or food that bad to be served. Safe to say I will never be back and would advise or try and you will never experience anything like it. Apart from that the waitress was very pleasant but this was so bad (food) I really felt I had to write this and how this place has a licence to serve food is a joke.

The same old, same old menu again and again. If you want me to keep coming back, shake it up a bit and turn the lights up a little, ambience is one thing but trying to see the food on your plate is quite another! Time for a rebrand, give Omagh a great place to eat.

My husband and I stopped in to U. S. Grant’s for dinner on a Sunday night. Were seated promptly at a table with extra room for our motorcycle helmets. All our servers were very friendly and helpful the entire evening. The food was excellent. I had chicken supreme and hubby had au gratin potatoes and green beans. He stated they were excellent as well. We both opted for dessert-him with the Apple pie ala mode and I chose the creme brûlée- it was outstanding! Reasonably priced as well. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We really had a lovely dinner in a beautiful setting at Grants. We sat by the warm fireplace on a rainy, cold evening and couldn't have been more comfortable. In fact, we hated to leave! The service was top-notch as well!

What a nice place, great food, good beer and friendly staff. We ate there last night, 2 had the special fish dish, I had one of the best steaks I have eaten for a long time, it just melted in my mouth.

Always impressive - the menu rarely changes but every single item on it is cooked to perfection. Particular highlight is the Boston Beef Fillet - the Grants signature dish of sorts. A great selection of interesting coffees also for after your meal. Staff always friendly and attentive - particularly the gentleman with the perm and American accent. Will be back

I was there just once but once is enough when you had a great meal.

Just before Xmas myself and 3 friends booked a table in Grants for dinner. Yes they were busy as it was a Sat in Dec but the service was sooo slow. Even when 2 of our mains came out and were on the table, the wait for the other 2 was unbelievable. The staff were friendly and apologetic when it was mentioned but overall slow service would stop me returning.

I love coming to Grants. Never had a bad meal and we’re always well looked after.

My partner and I and his two (adult) children ate dinner here on 28th December 2017. We booked ahead but the restaurant was fairly quiet when we got there early (at 5.30pm). Lots of people came in tough during the course of our dinner. We just had main courses - they were plenty big enough but they were all delicious. Everyone cleared their plates and would have eaten more had we had room. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. This was the first time I'd eaten here and my partner hadn't eaten here for quite a few years. He enjoyed himself also. We'd go again for sure.

Ate here the Thursday before Christmas. Party of 14. We pre booked our choice of main from the Christmas Lunch menu. Efficient staff and everyone enjoyed their meal. I opted for the duo of duck. We were offered extra mash and vegetables but didn’t need any. A cold day outside but inside was perhaps a little too warm. Never the less we were impressed with the food.

All I can say is, that the management and staff of this wonderful restaurant have never failed to provide the highest quality food, service and courtesy one might expect when dining - anywhere. The staff are attentive, the food is exquisite and the experience is worth sharing. I look forward, with anticipation to my next visit. 10/10!!!

Really good food, I had the Boston Beef which was cooked to perfection served with champ and shoestring onions, really big portions i wasn't fit to finish it all. The atmosphere in the place was really nice and i loved the antique light fittings which added a nice tough. The staff were good craic as well which made the service all the better.

Visited here for Sunday lunch with my family. Last time we were here I was a bit disappointed but this visit was great. Food fabulous and good service. Good to see Grant’s on top of their game again.
