Granny's Caribbean Restaurant in Haringey

Waited 3 hrs for a delivery. Salty jerk wings, salty mutton roti and sour Rice & Peas and stew chicken I've never eaten anything like it Would love be compensated.

WOW! I was really hoping for an authentic and tasty lunch and I was not disappointed! I ordered the Large Jerk Chicken with Rice and Peas and the first bite put me in the clouds. The food came piping hot, wrapped well and arrived earlier than expected. Rice was perfectly cooked and had a lovely texture and taste but the chicken was amazing, with a really smokey, deep, fresh taste from the jerk pan - with beautifully moist chicken and a well balanced sauce. The outside was perfectly seasoned with a touch of spice and i do not like jerk chicken covered in sauce so this was a perfect glaze instead. The uber eats reviews are a much better representation giving 4.4/5 - I really cannot understand why there is not more reviews like this on here. The love in the food was felt, will defiantly be back for more, thankyou Granny's.

Disappointed. Food not nice. Missing items on delivery. Poor quality. Portion size was a rip-off. Staff incompetent.

Customer Service continues to be dreadful. One tried giving them a chance, after 6 months, but… Food quality is ok, if there was competition, they would have closed some time ago. Dark kitchen will work best for you as you.

Amazing food with amazing options / staff - I love coming to Granny’s ! A special place and a Stroud Green staple From the rice dishes to the varieties of soups/pies. Everything is amazing

Delicious food, generous portions. The service is great too. I really enjoy the curry goat with rice 'n' peas plus chicken and dumpling soup. Patties are also good. I highly recommend.

Terrible cold food rude staff when telling them my food was cold they told me heat it up and hung up

This restaurant shouldn't be in existence. The foods not great but the potato salad was swimming in mayonnaise. The customer service is horrendous & they have NO clue how to deal or speak with customers. Their attitude & mannerisms need to be scrutinised & whipped into shape. Do yourself a favour, to avoid disappointment try eating at Yum Yums in Wood Green. Not only is the food better but they treat you with the utmost respect something GRANNYS KITCHEN is lacking.

Don't go on a Sunday. The gentleman has no clue. The ladies are better in the week. I asked for an item and he gave me the opposite and did not bother sorting it out. In fact I have had enough. Walk 5 mins and there is a better Jamaican restaurant up the road and a lot more professional.

The worst curry goat ive ever had. Should be called curried bone there was that many in it. I know nothing could beat my grandads curry goat, but I dont feel its too unreasonable to expect some goat in my curried goat. The quallity of the goat (that i could salvage off the bone) wasnt great either tbh. It also came with wuleepa badly cooked rice. Maybe some of the other dishes are better, however I have also read a different review (after eating the meal) saying they found maggots. Maybe stay clear of this place, I know I am.

A long review isn’t needed. Previous reviews sum it up and this one top it up. Service is what also makes a local small business, albeit it might not be the case with all the staff, my experience was below poor since the service was not only non existent but ignorant of the power such local restaurant have in a community. Note to the owner’s, please review the standards as such local business is needed in the community so it would be a shame to see it disappear.

My boyfriend has grew up in Finsbury Park and always takes me back here, the best Caribbean food in this area. The food is delicious and always on point. It deserves a much higher rating

The curry goat was fine and so was the cornmeal porridge but the plantin and festival ( yes plantin and festival) not edible the festival was rock rock and the plantin I don’t even know what to say 😫

Absolutely delicious! Jerk chicken was on point. Fresh, tasty, spicy exciting. Touched our souls n everyway... Great food, great value, will see you soon. No pic as ate immediately!!

I have always supported small businesses but this one doesn’t deserve any support. The worst service I have ever come across and the food doesn’t make up for it either. The curry goat was bad, the jerk chicken wasn’t cooked and I had to wait 2 hours for them to deliver after initially cancelling my after a 45 minute wait. If This restaurant can’t fix up then then it needs to shut down!

As there are limited open takeaway places due to Covid-19, I thought I would try this caribbean takeaway and followed the beautiful aroma into the shop. I ordered a small stew chicken meal and sides. The plaintain was nice, the festival was not fresh and the chicken meal was average. Not a place I would be in a hurry to try again.
