Went for coffee and food. No smile or eye contact and man was in a bad mood. Slow with the food and the atmosphere was bad. I won’t visit again

My friend and I went for lunch today. I use a mobility scooter and one of the staff were so kind, in letting me take my scooter into the cafe. He then moved a table over so as I could put my scooter beside my seat. When we left he assisted me in getting it out of the cafe. Thank you Carouso's

I went to this cafe with my family last Tuesday, and had a whale of a time. Lovely cakes and coffees that anyone can enjoy! The bread on my butter was the lovely paintings that really enhanced the atmosphere. However, upon entering the men's room I saw a fella around my age frantically washing himself clean of hot chocolate. A bit weird but didn't impact my overall experience.

Cant rate this highly enough! Last Tuesday I came here with the family to sit down and enjoy a drink and cake and boy was I surprised. It was one of the most fantastic cafes Ive ever seen. The staff were lovely and the setting was amazing. The cake was light, fluffy and soft and the coffee was smooth and soothing. The only downside was my son spilling all his hot chocolate on me!! But that was anyones fault 😊 I would recommend and definitely come again!

I went for the first time yesterday since they moved to babbington Lane. What a fantastic job they have done I felt like I was on holiday for the 45 min I was there. Lovely decor and music. Drinks and food no more expensive than before and much better than the chain coffee shop offerings. I will definitely be going back.

I have been going here with the husband for over 20 years as a place to celebrate our ups with a good coffee and a little something to eat and treat ourselves during difficult times to cheer ourselves up here. Lovely place to relax. The staff are always friendly and efficient. Great food. We hope their new place will be just as good!

This is our regular Saturday lunch stop, we can be certain of the quality of the food and definitely some of the best coffee in Derby.

First time visiting this café Saturday 27/08/2022 as it were an ideal location to meet with family from Peterborough. The atmosphere is pleasant and decor nice and tidy. Our experience wasn’t a very nice one, for our very first visit here. There were 5 of us, 3 children that just wanted toast, a salad and one brunch, and this took 45 minutes in an almost empty place. During the meal, a bad mannered lad came over all grumpy, huffing and puffing, because my 8 month old grandson had dropped his marshmallows. Eventually upon finishing, the lad and a young girl came over and again very rude, almost pushing me out the way to move the high chairs and he had the most grumpiest face and attitude I’ve ever witnessed in any place to eat and the girl were just as miserable. I bent down to pick up a fork and he snapped my head off telling me to leave it and it were then, I felt like grabbing him by the throat and I had to bite my lip. It’s best to say, it’s the worst experience I’ve ever had going out to eat, and I will never go there again or recommend

Love the Calypso coffee with cream! Chicken salad sandwich lovely and fresh, lots of filling. Will return!

Fantastic staff,great coffee and food

Always a pleasure to visit. Its a little bit of Italy in Derby. You won't get your huge meals and chips here, they're a coffee shop so it's toasted sandwiches, cakes and ice cream sundaes. What you will get though is delicious hot and cold drinks served to you in a busy but warm and cheery environment full of fun.

Well were lucky, the chairs were across the door. I only wanted a cup of tea to takeaway but was at that stage in the day where it was urgent. I called over the barrier and the lady went to check if she could serve. At this point I'd given up all hope. She returned and made me a cup tea that was so restorative and magical. You know the ones I mean. I had one there. I needed it. Thank you

Lovely cafe with excellent service and lovely staff! A huge range of coffees, milkshakes ,desserts and snacks. They serve delicious breakfasts and all sandwiches and baguettes are freshly made. I would highly recommend this place as the prices are great too!

Really good food fantastic service

Ordered a breakfast and a toastie. Food was nice but servers didn't appear to be friendly. Going about doing what is expected from them but doesn't look like they enjoy what they're doing, no smiles 🙂

Had a light lunch here with an amaretto hot hocolate delight. Looked amazing. Tasted nice but the hot chocolate was barely warm, however I did enjoy it. Staff pleasant and prices reasonable.

First Visit Today Will Definitely be Returning! Hot chocolate was lovely with proper fresh cream & luxurious dark chocolate. We also had a bacon cob which was lovely they asked how we wanted our bacon (which is rare in my opinion) and it came out on a lovely fresh cob. The staff were pleasant and friendly. Still a great place to eat and value for money. Disappointed they don't do their legendary jacket potatoes anymore. Staff are all super friendly and helpful and go out of their way for you.

Had a medium cappuccino and toasted ham and cheese sandwich with side salad .

The sandwiches we had were very nice but very basic. No frills builder's butty was how I described it. It used to be really lovely with a menu to match the decor but now it's the same decor but the menus hanging above the counters just aren't right in my opinion. They're more suited to a 'greasy spoon' cafe. Weird!!

Great coffee ,great carrot cake .A great cafe popular and people come here for generations .The children now have children themselves. Only criticism so popular some of the cakes sell out but that's not even a criticism. A Large choice menu so something for everyone. Look forward to new one opening to as a start to an evening this will be a lovely choice food and a lovely drink .Even better the other restaurants aren't closing so then 3 choices for a great coffee 😋👌

They have a huge range of flavoured milkshakes and suchlike. We got a good, thick, tasty mocha shake. However, coffee is pretty abysmal here: flat white didn't have microfoam, rather it was like cappuccino with less foam. The espresso in it was bitter. They're reheating milk and not purging the steam wand after use. It's bustling, well lit, and friendly.

Popped in 29th October for a coffee and baguette. Very welcoming, accommodating and personable service from a small, yet professional team. If you haven't been here, GO! Even with covid restrictions, the team went the extra mile and provided a faultless service. We will come back every time we visit intu Derby. The owner even offered us his umbrella to pop to the post office! Thoroughly recommended.

First time we had been back since lockdown, we was so looking forward to the best coffee in town and we was not disappointed. Can not express how delicious our coffees were.

This is always a bit of a treat for us and we have missed visiting during the pandemic. We visited today and as well as their lovely coffee, decided to try their breakfasts too. They have limited menus at the moment but I couldn’t recommend their breakfasts more highly as they are of great value.My Mum had a bacon roll which had 4 rashers of bacon (£3.75). I had beans on toast (2 slices) with sausages which had 3 sausages, half a grilled tomato and mushrooms (£4.95) and my daughter had cheese and beans on toast, which was a good portion with tomato and mushrooms on the side too (£4.95). To be honest, we couldn’t finish our meals and as the Cafe has also opted in to the Eat Out to Help Out scheme, everything was 50% off on Monday to Wednesday in August. I have never had breakfast here before but certainly will in the future.

The milkshakes are wow, we had Strawberry and banana, strawberry, mango and pineapple. Yes we had 4 milkshakes between the two of us. Toilets up many stairs but there are accessible toilets in the intucentre which this cafe is located in.Cafe eating area on one level.They do savoury food and cakes and icecream.

Easily the best coffee in Derby, the cafe is run by an Italian family who provide quality food and service whilst at the same time keeping prices low. Well worth a try. M

Went with children after haircuts opposite. Great to see them back open after the lockdown, coffee and food all still excellent. Recommend this Cafe to evryone.

Forget Starbucks, Costa etc these do the best coffee at a fraction of the cost and its delicious. Not had any food but it always looks nice, staff are pleasant and friendly. Need to try the food on my next visit.

We went here as it was recommended by a relative living in Derby, the staff were very polite and helpful, the food was cooked fresh offering many choices, Italian based food, coffee was Lavazza, very busy and a bit tight for space but a pleasant atmosphere.

Always our favourite lunch venue when shopping in the Intu, Derby.
