We used to visit here regularly then the service dropped.. one lady in particular became a bit short and sharp .. after we said something about the food … we stayed away until this week .. it’s our monthly lady lunch date and this little gem is convenient for us all , so we thought we would go back ! 3 of us orders the hot dog lunch ! Huge dry bread roll a sausage that wasn’t really good butchers sausage .. but if fried onion a few thick chips and small fish of watery coleslaw £10.75 … very over priced for the quality….. the service isn’t what it was sadly .. even the people on the table next to us passed comment on their food , including having to ask for all the trimmings that were advertised on their dessert .. to which the waitress came back with a plastic back of dried raspberries and a spoon to finish of the dessert .. instead of taking it over to the counter and doing in a proper manner.. such a shame it’s food and standards have fallen .

Absolutely one of the best in Norwich top quality produce and extremely friendly helpful staff.

Bought a cheese scone to take home. Reasonably priced and looked amazing until I cut it open to find it raw and smelling.

I was really surprised by this place. We had a fantastic fry up and the service was really good. Went back again for lunch and although the veggie food was a little limited, we still had an enjoyable meal.

Stopped twice to have drinks and lunch. Very friendly staff. Great service. Look forward to going back when in the area

Veg soup was lovely, just the thing for a damp Saturday. Tex-mex fries were lovely as well. Cakes looked lovely, perhaps next time!!!

We had the Halloween Afternoon Tea at the Willows Cafe Bistro. We were very impressed. The food was very well presented and tasted great. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

Best ever afternoon tea for sure . It was delicious, and lasted both of us the whole day and into the next day. Every single item was appealing not only to the eye but also totally tantalising to the taste buds. Including all the vegetarian options. And the venue is so lovely too. Perfect! Came here with my fiancée for lunch and definitely did not regret it as the food was delicious and the smoothies were brilliant. The lotus biscof cheesecake was amazing and my partner's lemon and lime cheesecake was light and refreshing. Would highly recommend coming here as the food is delicious and reasonably priced.

We went here today for breakfast with our toddler and had an incredible experience. The waitresses were so helpful and, as I was waiting in the car for my son to wake up, they even offered to recook both of our breakfasts. The fact that they have a designated children’s room with a stair gate and a couple of boxes of toys meant that our breakfast was a lot easier to eat! Our son enjoyed playing and didn’t want to leave. The food itself was all made with good quality ingredients and the smoothies were also amazing. It was our best breakfast and definitely will be returning again.

Very popular little cafe, we were lucky to get a table. I would advise to pre-book. Home cooked food and lovely cakes. Will visit again.

had a willow burger. was not expecting much for a £10. but it was fantastic. double stack two rashes of bacon, dill and tomato and cheese, onion rings and a basket of chips. really good quality.

Good little place for a quick lunch at a reasonable price. Oddly the Coke arrived in a glass and not in a can or other pre packaged tin/bottle. Found that odd. I’d reckoned the sandwiches and wraps.

I have been told by several people that this was a rather nice place to have something light to eat, we were in the area looking for lunch. We walked in and we told that we couldn't order anything off the menu apart from drink as the have started a new Sunday roast menu starting from 12:30, and it was 12. We were seated upstairs were the play room was, basically 2 boxes of kids toys and a stair gate over the door, other people where seated in the same area within children when there was other seating available.It was a struggle to get them to make 1 piece of toast, for the toddler that was with us. We ordered 2 coffees a sausage roll and salad that was from the cold counter. No cutlery was given, or offered. The floor was dirty with food from previous customers. Customer service was pretty poor, the selection of cakes was also pretty poor, they looked bought in rather than made in house. The coffee wasn't presented very well, neither was the sausage roll. There is a small area outside next to a busy road to sit. Over all disappointed I expect far better.

Absolutely appalling staff. Our server Sarah seemed like she didn't want to be there at all. She rolled her eyes when we made an order and our drinks and food were slammed on our table. We then waited over 20 minutes for a dessert menu but we decided to leave due to our server being more concerned on closing the shop than serving customers. When going to pay the bill, we were treated with such an appalling attitude. Shame the staff don't seem interested as the food was lovely. :(

Excellent lunch well presented and tasty, waitress service was spot on to, and all at a reasonable price congratulations to the staff at willows, keep up the excellent work.

I requested a takeaway afternoon tea for a friend's birthday celebration. I needed one standard and one gluten-free. The teas were packed separately, no chance of cross-contamination. The food was of a very good quality, sandwiches and savoury pastries as well as scone and a selection of cakes. The gluten-free sandwiches and cakes were excellent. Highly recommended.

When we arrived they had no recollection of our booking... after waiting an hour we where told our breakfast would be x2 more minutes... it didn't arrive...we where then told we where next...we where not...then went to complain only to be told that our order had been forgotten...when eventually we got our breakfast, it was into lunchtime and one breakfast was missed...at this point I could not eat as I was so upset..staff where not trained.. food and drinks where being delivered to wrong tables...we were extremely disappointed and will never be going back...nor recommending..😤😤😤 In reply to your response... When our party arrived, we where not made aware that there was a long delay...nor did your staff keep us informed.. Please... it is totally unacceptable for any order to ever be missed..surely you have practices in place so that this could never happen ...? Your staff should be fully trained and those learning should have someone watching and teaching them...not thrown straight into the deep end on there first day... I am sorry, but your staff should be fully aware of every table...and there order...so that they are able to check with the kitchen on the progress of their food, and therefore making sure nobody is missed. Please note that we where told by a different staff member, not your latest employee, that our breakfast would be 2 more minutes (which didn't happen) and again later we where told we where next...(again it didn't happen)...it wasn't until I went downstairs to complain, that the kitchen where finally made aware that we had not had our breakfast...i am sorry but no food order should ever simply disappear into hyperspace...however when you realised that we had not received our food ...you where very quickly able to retrieve our order from hyperspace... We where not the only customers disappointed...the other tables nears us had very long waits...wrong orders delivered ...and other people's drinks brought to them.. We booked for breakfast not lunch...the complimentary drinks only arrived when our food was nearly finished. Might I make a polite suggestion to you, being...that instead of you preparing the beverages, that you work the front of house and then you will be totally on top of the business 😀

I like this cafe for its atmosphere and friendliness and good coffee. Had breakfast here a few times as its local to me. My only small complaint is my poached eggs are always overcooked. So eggs a 2 star but overall experience 4 stars.

Nice cafe. Staff were very friendly and helpful. When I visited just after 2pm, there was an extremely limited selection of cakes.... Based on previous reply from owner I guess this is partly related to the impact of covid on trade. Also this was an hour before they were due to close (3pm). The biscoff cheesecake and americano I had were both excellent. Sign on door said booking was advised, but I was able to get a table without a booking.

Met a friend for coffee and cake. Service was exceptional and friendly. I didn't reserve a spot but was accommodated when we arrived. I will say, there wasn't a great selection of cakes for a lunchtime coffee unfortunately. My other gripe was the big fat land rover parked in the entrance blocking the (small) car park. Although that is not the fault of the cafe 😙 just a selfish driver!

I've been here a number of times and since the new Covid-19 guidelines have been introduced they've absolutely nailed it. Very clean, friendly and with fantastic service. The food and coffee are brilliant, it goes without saying. The owners are clearly very switched on and provide a very safe and welcoming environment in this new normal.

Staff were extremely helpful, fast service, food was absolutely delicious & very reasonably priced. Good use of a one way system and social distancing, felt safe throughout our visit. Highly recommend The Willows in Drayton 👍

We planned to visit for lunch today and were sent to find a seat. The place has previously been friendly and the cakes looked delicious as always so I'd brought my partner for lunch. We waited for about 10 minutes and the table next to us went to find someone as they'd been waiting a while so the staff were then more aware of our presence. A waiter came to take our order and we requested our meals and then let him know of my partners allergy to shellfish. He firstly said that wouldn't be a problem as they don't have any really so we thought it a good idea to highlight the various other shellfish items likely to be made in the same area. After taking this on board he said they couldn't provide anything that would be safe. We have eaten out many times at a variety of places and the majority of places can clean a chopping board and knife and make it safe to eat there. No alternative options were offered but instead he stood there blankly meaning our only choice was to leave as it obviously wasn't going to be safe to eat and no alternative suggestion or apology were on offer. This was very poor service and I'm appalled that we were made to feel unwelcome when the solution is so simple. The attitude was nonchallant and the demeanour left a lot to be desired. Not the standard of service and attitude you'd expect and I'm put off from coming back due to it. Really sorry to see.

Have been coming to the willows for a number of years for a breakfast every now and then, the food is always good and end up leaving content every time!

We popped in yesterday Saturday 10th January for a coffee and croissant. The table needed cleaning but the waitress merely swept the crumbs onto the floor, leaving wet milk and Coffee rings. She needed to be called back to wipe it properly thought she left us with a wet table which we had to dry with a serviette. Food service was slow - the croissants arrived five minutes after the coffees. It seems the place has lost its mojo. There were five staff, but very few customers, despite the car park being full. Some of the cakes were wrapped in clingfilm so probably weren't fresh. There are other places nearby which provide a consistently good customer service. Wake up, The Willows!

Went in for a meal on New Years Eve with Freinds and Family for lunch. This is a very well presented establishment with great positive and friendly staff. Along with a very good selection on the menu that appears to cater for everyone. The prices are very reasonable and the food could not be better. Personally I had the BBQ pulled pork burger and to be honest it is the best I've had for a long while. Overall an extremely good experience and I couldn't rate it higher. Definitely give them a go if you're in the area. 5/5

A fantastic hidden gem of Norwich open 7 days a week. My personal experience is of warmth smiling faces and only one error. Within 2 minutes of stepping into the cafe I was seated and had a menu in front of me. The waitress on front seemed genuine and smiling bearing in mind there was only 2 members of staff serving and 3 in the back ( as can be seen by pictures ). I wasn’t in a rush and within 10 minutes my order was taken. All food is sourced locally and cooked to order. I had the 7 piece brunch with toast and free refill filter coffee. I had to admit I couldn’t eat it all. When it turned up I thought “is that it” but half wY through I just couldn’t eat it all unfortunately but it did taste nice. There was one error made which I didn’t complain about as they where busy and that was I asked for a poached egg and received a fried egg ( mistakes happen ) . One thing I noticed is that even though the staff where wearing a uniform they wasn’t wearing name badges so I can’t comment about a particular member of staff. Whilst I sat here and enjoyed my brunch I noticed a high turn over of customers which shows Gracie’s has a good reputation. The table I sat at I wouldn’t recommend as it was right opposite the kitchen and all I could see and hear was the kitchen porter washing up and a pile of continuous dirty plates however there is loads of other tables available ( when empty ). The car park is limited in space ( around 10 cars ) but there is plenty of local parking across the road and near Barclays Bank . The only reason I gave this review a 4 and not a 5 star was because of the egg issue which in theory changed my order and showed they wasn’t listening to my request 100% when taking my order and communication is lacking somewhere between front of house and the kitchen, otherwise I would have no hesitation in recommending this site for afternoon tea and brunches for future events.

Perfect place to go for a coffee and something to eat with young children as the upstairs room has toys etc and the food is lovely.

Bit disappointed turn up at 2.55 with my 2 daughter's to be told they stop hot food at 3 .as close at 4.. So we could only have sandwiches so we did food was good but at 3.30 they were putting cakes away and we felt they didn't want us to have anything else and they wanted us out to close shame as we would of had cake and a coffee, should really care for the public and not for the money.

Decent breakfast, reasonable prices.
