Love the food from here, always been a favourite. Cash only payment. Update, now tqke cash and card.

So disappointed. Our usual Chinese was shut so we decided to try here. Was really busy which is usually a good omen. Ordered house chowmein & prawns fried rice. The rice was passable. However, the chowmein was disgusting. Something resembling a mushroom was pure slime. As were the noodles. We only tasted then binned it. 3 hours later I can still taste that vile food that wasn't even eaten, only tasted. I don't like leaving bad reviews, but the food was quite simply, inedible & vile.

Food was great just a little over priced but would go back

1st takeaway order..service and presentation very good..food was absolutely shocking..chicken looked uncooked..chow menu was bone dry..pork was just fat balls...waste of £35..never again!

First time take away…..delivered promptly, packaged beautifully and most importantly amazing food. Well done Gourmet Oriental we’ll be ordering again next week 👍🏻

Probably the best 'Asian Takeout' place I've had. Presentation was excellent considering it came as a complete meal in a tuppawear box. My only gripe is the paper menu we received through the post has hard to read allergen information. I'm refering to the symbol based allergen table in the front of the pamphlet, but the only allergen being listed next to the food items being nuts, marked with an "N" instead of the symbol. Despite the disclaimer in the front of the pamphlet, you should really only have one or the other, not both. Other than that, pretty good.

Food is amazing, loads of meat.

Sadly gone down hill 2023, was pricey but good, now its just pricey. Shame.

Terrific food, delivered quickly and was hot and plentiful, even though I ordered the smaller options. The seafood and vegetable options are plentiful and though a casual glance it seems the [prices are on the higher side this is more than made up for by the quantity and quality. I cannot praise this establishment highly enough.

Shame. At least I know to use my usual Chinese now. Thought I’d try a new one. Food was average really. This will make you laugh. They hide their card machine under a cloth as they prefer cash. Normally for an order of over £15 you might expect a small bag of prawn crackers. Not here. Too expensive apparently. No worries. No generic response required, although you may want to assess your business approach.

Always use gourmet oriental but tonight disappointed with the crispy duck and looked over cooked or hopefully not reheated from last night. A good quality check would of stopped it leaving the restaurant

The best Chinese takeaway we have ever been to. We recently moved overseas and have never found a Chinese that can match Gourmet Oriental, so we have just popped to the UK for a few days and made sure to take the opportunity to go to this takeaway and we are really pleased to say that the food is still amazing. Highly recommended

Food lovely.ordered 2 small glasses of coffee and I was shocked how much for 2glasses way too much they charge..I must admit its really nice coffees😊.Overall nice foods but quite expensive

A friend recommended this takeaway as she is a long-time fan. The food was great - we particularly enjoyed the quarter duck + pancakes, the Hong Kong style sweet and sour chicken and the crispy chilli beef. I also enjoyed how Covid-safe the money exchange was when I went to collect it (a little disinfected basket for my change.) I also recommend they make the menu clearer that the duck pancakes already comes with cucumber, spring onions and sauce because the menu makes it seem like you have to pay extra for these and it's great that you don't. I would return!

Tried to order a take out tonight ,we were told 1 and Half hours wait (glad there so busy) we asked if we could get any sooner NO we can’t so we said we would cancel the order, we were told by the male telephoning to GET OVER OURSELVES AS THEY HAD OTHER CUSTOMERS. We have ordered there regularly, last time we ordered in fact they forgot to place our order we rang after an hour to be told no order, the lady was very apologetic and rushed our order through which we appreciated. But will not go back there again after being spoken to like that. Clearly he has no manners !!!! I have since been contacted by the owner, with an apology which is appreciated, we have been customers for years there, no more needs to be said, but we will return for our next meal.

Got my food delivered within 30 minutes, hot and delicious sweet and sour chicken and foo yung. Will definitely be back.

We have always used Gourmet as it was the best in the area. However last evening was a huge disappointment. The veg spring rolls had no filling in them. It was just pastry only. Beef in black bean sauce was absolutely drenched in oil. The special mix Singaporean vermicelli was wet with no spice and hardly any ingredients. The Young chow special was just the same. Very very disappointing. It has gone down in the standards it used to have. Not sure whether I will used Gourmet Oriental in the future.

The food is fantastic here and the staff always polite and helpful, best Chinese takeaway in GU area, highly reccomended if you don't try this restaurant you will be missing out the Chilli Beef in particular is the best around

Been ordering from this place for years. Food always of a very high standard and staff are polite and helpful. Often my food is delivered much earlier than expected which is always a pleasant surprise. Highly recommend.

I've visited the Gourmet Oriental many times and have finally got round to writing a well deserved review. Always, hot, tasty and on time. Our regular take away, with an extensive menu. Delicious!

We visited friends in Frimley today and our friends ordered the takeaway from this shop. They told us how good food they are cookes!!! Oh gosh the food was so fresh and the quality is as good as restaurant. They are so so tasty!!! We will order again when we are around next time! Highly recommend!!!

I have never been so appalled at the quality or food and service we received today by the team at Gourmet oriental. We spent over £40 on our meal to have it all pretty inedible. The duck in particular was over cooked and very hard. We called up and was told we would have a replacement sent. By this point the rest of our food was cold. The second duck was even worse with only enough meat for 2 pancakes. I was told on the phone to get a refund I had to give back the inedible food. I've never ever had to do this ever. We felt like they treated us like criminals. We have been regulars and never had an issue till now. They have lost a customer due to the lack of customer service and the very poor quality of food. I wound not recommend anyone order from here.

Disgusting food keep clear first time I’ve used them and the last the order was wrong tried the food and it went straight in the waste bin if I could I would give minus 5stars awfull

Lived in Camberley 5 years and tried other options close by but don’t bother now as the food here is excellent. Have to wait Friday / Saturday nights so order early and the home delivery service helpful. Lots of choice for friends and family across an interesting menu.

We've eaten GO food for many, many years and it is a family favourite. For us, the food is five stars but a star is held back as there's no card payments (which would be preferable in this extended Covid pandemic) nor online ordering which we find far more convenient when ordering from our other favourite, Cove Tandoori.

Not at all worth the money. Tried 9 years ago, wasn’t impressed. Tried again this month hoping that things had improved but they have not. Terrible food, no depth of flavours. There are plenty more local takeaways who offer far superior food at much better prices.

Really amazing quality food. Great choice for veggie/vegan with no compromise. Quick pick up time during lockdown and great setup for social distancing and cleanliness when collecting. First time we tried it but definitely going back.

Awful Chinese. Chicken looked and tasted like it was leftover from the previous day and had been recooked. Very disappointing. Thrown their menu away so we don't make the mistake of ordering from them again.

Ordered C for two people,without doubt the worst example of a takeaway I have seen in years,stodgy rice,slimey chicken,greasy chewy batter,cold food.Binned it for beans on toast. Tesco do a better one for £10. I know why the G Oriental doesn’t take card payments now!

Ordered a meal recently and found the food very bland,Needed a microscope to find the chicken in the chicken chow mein,Lemon chicken was tasteless and tough, Ribs were very tough, had far better at Tesco,Was plentiful but obviously was given leftovers!!Should have had fish and chips,

This gem of a place has been my favourite Chinese for 27 years now. Tried many and none come close to this. We try to only eat take-away once every few months and this is always top of my list. Even the chips are WoW! Thank you for a life time of deliciousness. I hope you continue forever more.

We have been buying food from here for some 20 years. The food has always been excellent and of top quality. We generally get home delivery and the food arrives hot an tasty. Highly Recommend.

The guy that takes the orders is always great and very polite. The food is always delicious and it’s the only chinese I love in the area. I have tried many sweet and sour sauces from different Chinese takeaways round the Camberley area and this is by far the best. Whenever I’ve recommended this takeaway to a friend they’ve loved it and said they won’t order from anywhere else.

I found a bone in my food wich should not have had a bone , i rang to say i wouldnt complain but it completely put me off my meal and could be dangerous to my son im then told it cant be because there is no bones in it but they need to come investigate....but im not being caalled a lair, i said why would i order food plant a bone and get the money i just paid back its pointles...and he said to get money really abruptly and spoke to me so rudely and kept me on hold for ages.. im really not happy we wont be ordering again..

Great food and delivery is always relatively fast and accurate. A little more expensive than other local take aways.

Food is always delivered hot and quickly. The menu is extensive and we've not tried anywhere near all of it, but it is pretty consistently good. Duck, Mongolian lamb, sweet and sour, grilled Peking style, and plenty of others very good... Lemon chicken not so much...

We have had home delivery from Gourmet Oriental Frimley for some 20 years. Food is great, delivery is always on time. Cannot be beaten.

It's just a damn tastey Chinese and they make tummy happy.

We use this place quite a lot and have only have the occasional bad meal and when I say bad meal its still better than most Chinese take aways that I have had in other areas. fabulous although a little pricey but I think that goes with the territory.

Have got from this Chinese a few times and have thought the food was average, crispy chilli beef was rock hard and over cooked, I got the chicken Hong Kong style which I could tell had been reheated and been sat in the sauce for a long time, could tell all the food I got had been reheated and had a funny tummy after, I won’t be ordering from this takeaway again.

Ordered a takeaway from here like I have done many times before but was quite disappointed, the meat in the chicken satay is really quite a rubbery texture. Also ordered sweet-and-sour chicken Hong Kong style, chicken was slightly better but still had a rubber like, very strange texture. Always had a good takeaway in the past I was wondering perhaps they have a different supplier? maybe a little cheaper?. Quality not so good, willnot be ordering from there again:(

Excellent Chinese takeaway that also serves Thai and Japanese meals. The young man taking orders is especially friendly and efficient. Great food and service every time!

It's taken us a while to find such a lovely local Chinese. The menu as so many great dishes to offer and the staff are so friendly. When you collect your order only takes between 20/30 mins and food it always so hot. Everything we ha is delicious and cant wait to order again.

The best oriental food you will ever, yes ever, order for delivery. Polite staff, swift professional service. The Frimley set up is awesome. Have been ordering from these guys for over 13 odd years. Respect goes both ways, respect them and they will look after you, call drunk an be an a55hole... An guess what... Respect, thanks for what you do. Class. Wish you guys were in Oxford. Considering it is valentines night and it is a very busy night, they certainly did not let that effect the quality. The crispy chicken wings are to die for. Could eat a whole plate full of them! OK, so it's a tiny bit more expensive than anywhere else, but why go for cheap if it's not as good or enjoyable? I daresay, this is one of the best chinese food takeaways I have had. The second was also a set menu and we were really disappointed with the flavour (or lack of it) as we had high expectations after the first. We have just had a third after deciding to give them another chance and we had mixed appetisers and malaysian dishes for mains. It was all really really yummy and fresh. The order arrived within about 20 minutes when we had been quoted 30-45 mins. The only thing that gets to me is that they don't give you a bag of prawn crackers with orders over a certain amount. This is the first chinese/oriental takeaway that Ive used that doesnt do this. Come on, dont be so tight!! We spent £30 for two of us, would it break the bank to give a bag of crackers on the house?!

Had a delicious family takeaway , the Japanese dishes being especially tasty. All served up in a hygienic and friendly manner.

Efficient takeaway Food is good, but pricey compared to others. Would use again but my 2nd choice.

Terribly rude, I ended hanging up the phone and calling another local Chinese who were very polite. Why should I buy from someone who is so blunt and rude when i could go to so many other local places that are cheaper. Good food or not, manners don't cost a thing and I'd rather spend my money else where and hope that this place realizes that it will end up with no customers if it carries on the way it is.

Another case of really poor customer service from the gourmet oriental. The guy who usually answers the phone is ignorant and rude. Go to 'mei's kitchen' in light water for a decent Chinese, although they do not deliver.

Some people on here moaning about the quality of the food, are these guys for real? after shopping around at just about every chinese in the area - ash vale , farnborough , camberley. I usually eat out at Eastern Oriental in Chobham which is one of the best chinese restaurants i have eaten at however whenever i ordered delivery its from here. This is from a true foody who has eaten at so many different places its unreal. Try the default sweet and sour chicken and then also try something a bit special like honey chicken or something along those lines.. Really really good food.

Extremely poor and aggressive customer service. Wrong order given. Food very watery - poor quality. Didn't eat it! It used to be very good. Haven't ordered for a while. After this experience will never again! Can't recommend to anyone. Ordered sweet and sour prawns with no pepper. They understood "no batter" and gave us pineapple prawn instead. Children fished out 6 prawns the rest was just extremely watery sauce with tons of pineapple. Photo on fb was posted after phone call was made and no offer of exchange or any other kind was given. Chicken satay was untouched! We wanted a skewers! We did bin most of the dishes as no-one would eat it. The person taking the order confirmed to me on the phone that my husband did indeed ask for no peppers.

Been getting Chinese from this place ever since I was little. Best Chinese around and well worth the money.

We've been using The Gourmet Oriental for many years and have always had the most exceptional food. Super efficient ordering service and really quick delivery. We wouldn't go anywhere else for a great Chinese takeaway. Highly recommended

We've had a number of good experiences from this restaurant but the last experience was not pleasant. On this latest occasion it took over an hour for delivery. The food was not the usual quality and had to be re-heated which further decreased the quality. We did not continue with the food and had to order elsewhere. When we did contact the restaurant to discuss the issues there was no willingness to resolve the issue. This left both my wife and I upset and will not be returning or recommending. Such a shame as this one bad experience has ruined what in the past had been pleasant.

Love the food from this place. Yes, it's more expensive then your standard Chinese but they live up to the Gourmet in their title. And they don't just sell Chinese, they also have Thai, Japanese and Malaysian dishes on their menu. It's worth a try if you appreciate good tasting food.

Just ordered food from there and was cold unbeatable and rubbish. Phoned to complan And was toldthat the food is not made on site but bought in and reheated there. For the price they charge u would expect food at least editable not processed rebbish. Never order from this place

We had duck, and it was more pure fat pieces than duck. Also kind of expensive, we paid 25 GBP for normal sized portions for 2 persons.

the address is a lie it not in frimley. Really annoyed as looked at the menu decided to order only to be told they are really in farnborough and cant deliver. We are only about 2.5 miles from the supposed address. You should not lie about you address it just wastes peoples time. I will be emailing google to advise them that it is not you address

Great food and great service. Nicest Chinese I've had in the local area. Only took 15 minuted to cook and the man even brought it out to my car for me. £24 for set meal B for 2. Plenty left over for a 2nd meal for each of us so good value for money!
