Absolutely love this place! The ever changing menu is always inventive and perfectly executed. So much thought goes into each dish, it's a real treat. The BYO concept is also wonderful

What a great dining experience. Seated at a table of 12, we had a couple and a family of 4 with our family of 5. Because you are all seated together there is naturally conversation and that added to the night. Everyone apart from us had been before, recently, so that tells you something. We are booking to go again with friends now. The experience was cosy and informal as well as informative as Tony tells you all about the food he has prepared, all home cooked. An experience for everyone at least once. Top marks!

He’s the number 1 rated in the city for good reason. Completely unique and incredible food. Highly recommended.

Simply fantastic. Four of us visited on a Saturday night and enjoyed a wonderful meal. Excellent food, excellent company and great service, more than a match for the local Michelin starred restaurant. If you want a night out that is slightly different then The Gourmet Food Kitchen is for you. It's bring your own wine, but that suited us fine. Thanks Tony and Deb!

This is my first visit to Gourmet Food Kitchen. Tony and Deb made us feel very welcome, and the food and service were excellent. I wasn't sure about going to a 'chefs table ' type restaurant, but it was a really enjoyable night, meeting new people, eating wonderful food, and Tony and Deb have created a fun, comfortable, and relaxing place to eat. The tasting menu was excellent, and introduced me to food that I'd never eaten before. It was bring your own drinks, which is fine. I'm looking forward to going back there. The price is very reasonable for not only the excellent food but also the whole experience. I can't say enough good things about Gourmet Food Kitchen. Excellent.

Honestly one of the best meals I've ever had. Tony and Deb make you feel welcome the minute you walk through the door. The atmosphere was casual and relaxed. And the conversations with complete strangers flowed naturally right from the start. It's a really special experience that everyone should try. So fun, can't wait to go again!

This was our 2nd time at GFK. Tony is a talented chef, and along with his wife Deb, they work hard to bring fine dining in a home style atmosphere. The food is incredible , 6 courses of deliciousness , using seasonal produce from great suppliers. Super good value, and as the restaurant is unlicensed , it's an affordable night out, as you need to bring your own alcohol . We all need to do more to support chefs like Tony, so if you have a birthday or celebration coming up, or just want a fab night out, this is HIGHLY recommended

My husband and I had the pleasure of visiting last week and eating the February menu. The food was exquisite, we thoroughly enjoyed every single dish. You can absolutely tell that the very best quality ingredients are used. The atmosphere is brilliant and it’s amazing to watch Tony cooking the dishes and talking you through the menu, totally adds to the whole experience. We cannot wait to come back, truly an amazing evening!

It used to be almost impossible to get on here, but over Christmas I noticed there were some spaces and booked up. Fantastic experience, great food, which was explained by the chief Tony and the 12 in a room seemed to work. I can one remember not talking to 3 of the people throughout the night. Bring your own drinks brings down the cost and there was no corkage fee. We will definitely be back.

I had been wanting to go to one of Tony's dining events for ages, but it isn't my husbands bag. He finally came around, and we went last weekend. The food was amazing... Tony cooks his food to perfection and the dishes are things I would never have thought to put together myself. Tony is a great host and very accommodating. As for the company...fab.Meeting new people is also something hubby isn't keep on but we met a brilliant mix of people and the atmosphere was amazing. Was a great laugh...and it's a small world. Husband was very happy, and I am even happier as he wants to go back for more! ☺

We had an absolutely delicious meal at GFK last weekend! The quality of the food, service and ambiance was fantastic! Chef Tony very kindly accommodated my husbands request for no onions and provided him with 2 different alternatives which was very much appreciated. We have travelled a lot and eaten at very good restaurants over the years because we just love good food and this restaurant is really up there - the attention to detail, quality of ingredients and balance of flavours was superb! I was really impressed with my visit to Gourmet Food Kitchen. Tony and Deb made us all feel incredibly welcome and the service was fantastic. Each course was beautifully presented and was explained to us by the chef. The dinner was one of the best I’ve ever had and I’ll be returning without a doubt! The food here is always superb but this December menu was a masterpiece. The flavours were wonderful and so so much food!

I honestly would leave more stars if i could because i just experienced one of, if not the best mouthfuls of food i have ever tasted in my entire life, if you are anywhere near Fargo Village in Coventry forget everywhere else, You NEED to check this place out.

I visited this amazing place on Saturday to celebrate a birthday. What an amazing experience we had. You really do get the fine dining experience for a fraction of the cost! The set is great with a maximum of 12 diners in any one sitting. You are greeted by chef Tony and his wife for what is undoubtedly a gourmet feast. Service starts when all guests are present and the food is served directly from the kitchen you are sitting in. Each course is presented perfectly, and chef Tony gives details of the dish and key ingredients. Once everyone is finnished the plates are removed ready for the next dish. A really quaint setting, and interesting concept. The food was amazing and definitely had me stuffed before deserts came out. I be visiting again and look forward to the joys of the next menu.

This company did the food for my friend's wedding on 20th October at Dodmoor house in Northampton. The canapes were absolutely delicious. The main meal I had was smoked haddock chowder as starter, chicken with potato terrine and veg for main and the most delicious bread and butter pudding for the dessert. Oh my god sums up everything. The food was amazing and presented brilliantly. The best wedding food I have ever tasted. Absolute kudos the the chef and his staff. I would not hesitate to eat here I would definitely recommend this place

Second visit here - amazing food again. Every course was delicious and beautifully presented. I love cooking but it’s a real pleasure to eat the food of a professional chef- his sweetcorn soup with a little sweetcorn dumpling was so tasty- seasoned perfectly. The scallop was amazing too. Can’t fault anything. We love the fact we take our own wine, for the high quality of ingredients used and the fine dining / Michelin standard of food it’s good value and we’ll be back soon.

I visited last night for friends 50th Birthday for the first time. This is a truly unique experience of fine dining. Great food a lovely atmoshere and great service. Every course was beautifully hand crafted and very tasty. I had to pinch myself that I was tasting food of such a high standard within our lovely city as it was definitely more than worthy of a dining experience in London or other European capitals. For a wonderful experience I highly recommend visiting for the gourmet food evening. I will be saving up for another visit for sure.

What an establishment. This culinary journey was booked as a celebration towards a love of food. Nestled in the centre of the Fargo Village, with the ambiance of the jazz night going on over in the next building, my girlfriend and I had such an incredible dining experience. The food was sublime, and the social layout of the dining table really brought everyone together. With Tony and his partner cooking just behind us, discussing his history of chef experience throughout many prestigious kitchens, life stories, and beautifully presented meals, I'd encourage everyone to visit GFK. Great for first dates, anniversaries, lucky treats, and not to mention lunch even being available for people working in the area. Unique dining experience unlike other establishments- you’re actually sat in a long table with other guests. You can bring your own booze/ drinks as they don’t have a drinks menu. But they do offer coffee/ tea with our last course- petit fours (chocolate made in-house by the chef). There is a shop just around the corner that sells liquor- so you can easily get them before your meal.
