Coffee much better than you would expect to find at a train station. Grab coffee here every week, always great!

I had an absolutely lovely cup of coffee here. The service was excellent. The barista was more than happy to talk to me about town and things to do. I was very easy to pick out as a tourist. This spot is right at the train station and opens early.

Staff are very friendly and helpful 🙂

Quick family meal. Good food, swift service and catered for various food fads. Lovely milk shakes. Did not like wine served in tumbler but that’s just my preference.

Had a very tasty chicken burger with sweet potato chips and some cider. It served quite quickly and by friendly staff. Overall a lovely slightly different meal that I would have again.

This was the first time we had visited gbk. We had been told it catered for gf and df intolerance and they did. You are seated but once chosen you have to go up to the counter to order and pay. It did not take long for the food to arrive. Fair size portions and nice food. Not too expensive. Very relaxed casual diner and a nice mid week treat.

I'm not usually a huge fan of little pots of chios and every dish separate..But this plae deserves it's name. It is truly a gourmet burger establishment. Every thing we ordered was beautifully presented and a real feast in the mouth..Oh... and the baconaise is AMAZING! Don't expect much change out of £50 if it's a meal for two with drinks. But worth it

We visited last Friday for a friends birthday, they did not have any glasses clean for wine which were not really wine glasses anyways. They advised it will take a while to get my glass of wine when I paid, so at least they told me. However, after having waited over 30 minutes and even having had delivered my food I had to ask twice for my glass of wine. Nothing. So my friend said to the waiter here, collect a glass from the table for her wine. They did not wash the glass!! It still had her lipstick on, ok fair enough we were all friends but REALLY !!!!! We told them of course and they took the glass again and brought it back, i don't know if they washed it to be honest but really guys?! this needs to be looked at. First, seriously can you just buy more glasses and get some real wine glasses. It was a Friday night but it was not full. Second, not thinking about washing a glass...Third, courtesy of apologising or giving me more wine. Felt very amateur service. My friend order a burger with avocado and it looked more like a spit of avocado that a portion.Another one with egg said her burger was the best.

Lovely evening meal. Skinny fries. Peanut butter milkshake. Great burger. As GBK should be. Clean. Friendly attentive staff. The GBK staff at the O2 branch should come here to see how to do it properly.

Visited on a quiet Tuesday eve.. decided to sit outside and was explained in a pleasant manner by a staff member to order at the till when ready. Halloumi bites were to die for.. chicken satay burger was very filling but could just do with a bit extra satay sauce. Service was simple but perfect. Ideal for our needs.

Had a lovely Vegan burger here, absolutely delicious! All the food came out promptly, was well cooked and tasted great. The skinny fries were super skinny and the onion rings were great! The staff were friendly and the place was clean. My only issue is that the cost of the burger is not great value for money, as chips do not come included. Our bill came to £40 (ish) for two of us to have a burger each, two soft drinks and chips, onion rings and some halloumi.

This was the best burger as you can tweek it to your taste. I added blue cheese and bbq sauce to mine. It was medium well done. Food came out quick and the meal included fries and a shake for £14.95. I would recommend this place the anyone who is a burger fan

Food was very tasty and staff excellent. As your burger doesn’t include any chips or sides it can get expensive once you have added these to your order. I would recommend the burger deal which includes a side and unlimited certain soft drinks. When we got the bill I was a little shocked to find we had spent nearly £100 on a burger meal for only five of us. Go to mc.D’s if your on a budget but here if you want to treat yourself.

Visited with colleagues for work. Ate fairly early evening on a Sat, no wait for table which was good, service ok, food was quick and good. No complaints. Would return.

Came here for a quick pre-theatre meal. Can recommend the burgers, the skin-on fries and the milkshakes. Service was friendly and efficient.

They accommodated our relatively large group (11) who had not booked - which was good, although the place was not full. Ordered a burger, medium cooked, and paid nearly £10 for a cremated piece of meat and a soft drink. Will not be returning.

Nice little place - serving up decent enough teas but plumbing for union roasting coffee (there are v decent roateries local to here!) On a classic la marzocco. It was closed unfortunately but have heard good things. Will be sure to check it out when am back!!

Sorry the burgers are rubbish. The prices are expensive unless you have a voucher. The only saving grace are the refillable drinks. Service is equally bad

Very Very good food overall but the actual restaurant was cold, which was why i gave it a 4 not a 5. I had the Gourmet burger kitchen bacon and cheese burger which was amazing and I asked for no sauce and they did as I said. I also ordered the skinny fries which really were very skinny and too many, finally I had a coke which was a little disappointing as they gave it to me in a bottle with a straw.

Considering burgers are their thing, I wouldn’t say it was exceptional, it was ok. Very expensive and despite restaurant not being that busy we were seated, very closely to the only other two couples in there.. atmosphere is souless

Its been a long time since I've been and I stopped eating here after finding so many other places that do great burgers.

Two burgers and two bottles of beer were over £30. For that you have to order yourself, pay in advance and then receive average burgers. Even burger buns can be extra depending on what you chose. Not at all impressed and would not visit again. Had a café feel about the place and was not particularly clean.

Was delighted when I saw on line that GBK offered a gluten free veggie offer - I know, why go to a burger bar when you are a veggie, coeliac, however my husband and son really like burgers.

GBK operate the same serving policy as Nando's - i.e. they seat you at a table with a menu but you have to go queue at the counter to order (and pay - before eating). I'm not a fan of this style of service myself. However, the staff were pleasant and the burgers were very good. Worth the high price? Yes, probably - the Hub is a good setting for this sort of restaurant and the place had a lively atmosphere. I'd definately be up for a return visit.

Went here with friends and had a very pleasant meal, lovely atmosphere in the outdoor seating on a summers day with view of the fountain. Burgers were great, good selection of choices, fries were a little too salty for me, drinks were very lovely and we had free refills! Not too pricey either, will definitely come again.

I had lunch with my wife on a work day at GBK in Milton Keynes.The service was friendly and fairly quick.The olives were nice and the burgers were very good. We had the Major Tom (fantastic blue slaw) and the Big Mouth and both were juicy, cooked to perfection.The chunky fries were not remarkable at all but the Sweet Potato Frie with Baconnaise were very good.The place was a bit noisy but we could chat, which was alright.We washed our meal down with a Sprite each and the bill came down to £36.00. For a lunch on a work day, it is a lot. Maybe a work meal deal would be an idea but given how busy the place was, maybe it is not needed.We went for the first time to a GBK about 10 years ago in Chiswick and became instant fans. We still like it lot but feel that it is an expensive meal when it comes to a burger meal.... Maybe I am being picky as I made the same comment about Smashburger but the truth is that I do not expect to pay £36 for 2 burger and chips meals with a drink...

In my opinion GBK is the best burger joint in MK! Definitely better that the local Bryon and Smash. There is a good selection of burgers and sides (something for everyone)! The burgers are never greasy and always look chunky and very appetising (see pics)! Long live the king!

Me and my boyfriend are regulars here.. we absolutely love the burgers, skinny fries and baconaisse here.The service here is good, restaurant is clean and the food is awesome!I'd also like to compliment the service we get from David here - he always remembers our faces and what we were getting up to and asks about this when he see's us next - he is an absolute credit to GBK and a very genuinely nice guy 5* service always :)

Food form this place is always good - had take out this time and was just as good as eating in.Some might find it a little pricey, but the food is worth it!

Our first visit to a Gourmet and it was OK. It was a Bank holiday Monday evening and it was quiet but so were all the other restaurants in the area. Staff were great and very friendly. Food was nice and service was quick. Just a little over priced for a burger.The only downside was lack or desserts. I was hungry that day.

Received offer on GBK app (worth downloading) for a free starter, but was told I couldn't use it with the lunch deal. I've since confirmed this isn't the case with GBK head office. Server was adamant I couldn't use it & seemed to be getting impatient at my insistence that I'd previously used similar offers with the lunch menu.

14 work colleagues popped in after a few cocktails to be told they had no burgers, they'd refused the delivery, and when we went to order non beef burgers instead, we were refused a beer as it was a family restaurant!. We took that to mean the grumpy manager decided we were drunk and would not serve us. But half the party were driving and sober and the rest had only had a few drinks. It did us a favour as we went next door to a proper curryhouse and had a great meal with a welcoming manager and great atmosphere. This was an embarrassing joke of a burger chain. With so many other good burger chains in MK the 14 of us were quite sure we'd never return to this one.

We went for a family dinner. It was easy to get a table. Polite service. The peanut butter shake is absolutely delicious. Highly recommended. Blue cheese was ok. The beef patty were generous. Will come again

Was surprised to see a vegetarian let alone vegan burger in a burger restaurant as an option so gave it a try and loved it! The staff were very thoughtful checking if I wanted baconnaise (no thank you) with my sweet potato chips rather than just giving it to me. Also ordered a classic burger which was described as 'best burger in town so far'. Service is a bit on the simple side with walk up ordering at the till, but food is brought to your table. We were there during the week and it was quite quiet, so a nice place for a midweek date night. Will almost certainly be back.

No waiter service! Order at the counter from the scowling waitress, pay there and then, just in case you do a runner or don't want to pay for the rubbish burgers?Grossly overpriced for what is nothing more than burger and chips that you would get from a street van. Expensive drinks.Our lunch was:3 Burgers & Chips, a side salad, kids meal and 3 soft drinks and a glass of wine = £60.20!!!

We revisited after a long time and were quite disappointed. We always noticed that the restaurant never seems to be buzzing and wondered why - well now we know. The milkshakes were really good but the food was only okay. This is a shame as it used to be quite good.Total bill for 2 £32.85

Lots of choice for gluten free with a lovely bun. Quite expensive considering what you get but it was tasty!

Went for lunch and got our order taken in good time. Salted caramel shake was superb but sadly the lamb burgers were unavailable. One Burger came without thick chips and we were told they were on their way. The second burger came and still no chips arrived. Minutes passed with half of both burgers eaten by the time the much vaunted thick chips were finally delivered. Price was very high given the time delay between main dish and side orders being delivered. Won't be returning with other Hub restaurants offering better service and quality for money.

We tried Five Guys recently and thought we would try GBK to compare. Although the burgers at FG are pretty good we like the service aspect of GBK. Queuing for your burger, which costs as much as GBK is not brilliant for me.GBK is a nice place with decent staff, where the choice is wide and varied. I loved the burger I had and so did my son. MY daughter has fussy issues so her burger was chosen with specific instructions but they unfortunately got it wrong which is often the case. However they corrected it quickly and all was good from then on-wards.We'll be back.

Went for lunch with work colleagues.Went for lunch time special, chicken burger, skinny fries and drink. But the lunchtime special was only a small kid size as advised by my server, was offered an upgrade for £3 more. Bill came to £11 which I think is too expensive for a lunch. The special is a con as they include a small burger instead of an adult size. The skinny fries are actually tooth pick sized fries which won't even touch the sides if your hungry. Get the normal sized fries unless you're on a diet. Overall the food was pleasant but not good value for money.

Five Guys are cheaper and better, but this is closer to my hotel. Staff are nice and the food is pretty good, peanut butter milkshakes are awesome.

We were in Milton Keynes for an evening event and decided to visit here for a pre-show meal. The restaurant is located in a lovely square with plenty of other restaurants dotted around said square. I went for the Californian Veggie Burger which comprised of a Homemade & pan-fried bean patty, mature Cheddar, avocado, smoked chilli mayo, crispy onions, relish and salad – plenty going on! Along with the Burger, I ordered Sweet Potato Fries which as far as I can recall where extra and not included with the burger – Sucks right! A £10 burger which doesn’t come with any fries. Nonetheless there wasn’t a long wait for the food to arrive and the burger was absolutely fantastic! Just how you would want a premium Veggie burger to be. The Sweet Potato Fries were also great and complimented the burger nicely – and also slightly healthier from what I here! Along with the food I went for a Honeycomb Milkshake which was OK I suppose, although I probably should have opted for a different flavour. I can’t remember which burger my friend went for, but he was equally pleased with his food and choice of milkshake. Overall, an awesome place for a burger.

This was my first visit to a Gourmet Burger Kitchen but it definitely won't be my last. The food was great, the restaurant clean and tidy and the service was friendly and highly efficient.There is a good choice of burges with various combinations of different fillings including cheddar cheese, blue cheese, bacon, onion rings, relish, pickles etc. There are also different chip options including chunky chips, skinny (very skinny) fries and sweet potato chips. There are also extras like coleslaw and sauces which you can add to your meal. There is a children's menu available but we didn't need it on this occasion.Between us we had four different burgers and 3 different types of chips and all were delicious. The coleslaw was also a bit different and a very tasty addition (a portion is enough for 2). The portion size was very generous and plenty for even the biggest appetite.The burgers are not cheap but well worth the money, definitely a cut above the average burger. I went with friends but will be taking my family sometime soon, as I am sure they will enjoy the food as much as I did.

Not great ordered the lunchtime special guaranteed in 15 mins, 20 mins later it arrived I asked the waiter about their free lunch if its not on time he shrugged and walked away !!!

GBK is another go to of my family's and they rarely disappoint. The food is fast and fresh and the milkshakes. skinny fries and homeslaw are delicious. A wide variety of meals for meat eaters and vegetarians are available and staff are very friendly and helpful.

Expensive burgers, boring decoration, lots of waiting and the worst of all: you still feel hungry after one meal. Probably the place is good for a lunch break with your colleagues and your boss but in general.. no.. just no.

£10 for a quick bite to eat on my lunch... Chips were swimming in grease and inedible. What a waste of money! My first and last visit... I advise anyone to steal well clear. Floors and tables were filthy too.

First time Ive been to GBK before, cant say I will be going back, burgers came out raw, had to send one of them back twice. Waitress who served us had a stinking attitude, and when I went to the toilet you can see into the back kitchen where a chef was picking his nose. Thoroughly disgusting and avoid

Used Deliveroo to dine with them and the meal I received was more than adequate. Clearly the chain is focused on quality not quantity but that works for me, happy being forfilled as opposed to stuffed. The chicken skewers came chargrilled and were excellent and paired well with the basil mayo I Chose separately. For mains I selected the "seasoned meetings" which was absolutely fantastic. I always feel these upmarket burger places forget were the poor souls who have to pick up the mini construction towers and actually get them in our mouth, GBK obviously have got the balance of low rise stacking and impossible sauce skyscraper just right. Chose the sweet potato fries, sadly had gone a bit soggy as using deliveroo but that's my fault for being incredibly lazy not theirs. Looking forward to returning and dining in....

My family and I go to GBK regularly. The service is friendly and attentive. The burgers are excellent, the buns are fresh,and the atmosphere is child friendly.

I like a burger and order them often but I was not expecting this experience. Pleasant resraurant in a nice location but be prepared to pay for your meal. Your burger is a burger and everything else is an add on. We shared the fries out between us!

The food here is massively overpriced, £19 for burger, drink and average portion of chips. Service was slow, had pretty much finished the food before getting cutlery and my burger was pretty cold.

Whilst working down in Milton Keynes I visited GBK. Good service, taken straight to a seat by the window, and given menu. Had 'The Mighty' cooked medium with sweet potato fries and a soft drink, £19, not the cheapest burger i have ever had but very tasty none the less. Nice atmosphere throughout the restaurant, nice touch with the help yourself nuts.

Chicken skewers were delicious.Gluten free burger and bun very well made and my wife loved it.My "The Don" was delicious and reminded me of 1980s Wimpy burgers.Good beer selection Inc gluten free.Friendly, helpful staff.Only 1 criticism. Fry the skinny fries in their own fryer and not with the onion rings, so that they can be gluten free too.

We visited the Milton Keynes branch of GBK for Saturday night dinner with our children and thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was great, atmosphere nice and service good.

We love GBK and have visited a number of them. Without a doubt this was the best se/rvice we've had at a GBK so far and also the best baconnaise we've ever had! I think this must be quite a new place because the staff didn't know about some of the discounts available with various cards (they do now though). Because you pay in advance at GBK, though, we forgot to leave a tip at the end! This doesn't mean we didn't enjoy it and the service was excellent so I wanted to leave this review by way of apology for forgetting to leave a tip!! (party of 5 from Yorkshire on 16/09/16)We find GBK good value for us as we always have the refillable drinks, and because we use the GBK app we get plenty of freebies. The burgers are delicious and changing/removing an item is never an issue. I also like my burgers well done and a lot of burger places do not cook them well enough for me - but every GBK does. The food comes quickly which is especially useful when you want something delicious but don't have a lot of time.

we arrived half hour before closing and wasn't a problem. No one rushed us. Burgers WHERE GREAT, SERVICE FAB, cannot fault it.

A colleague of mine planned a business leaving lunch here. Its a short distance from our offices and is located in the Hub. Nice sized restaurant, we got there around midday which was the best time it gets very busy during the week at lunchtimes. They have a lunchtime deal for £6-7 which includes a 3/4oz burger (chicken or beef patty) and a regular side (coleslaw, skinny fries, skin-on fries etc). I think this is a great deal, burgers alone are that price and sides are pricey at £4-6. Its an expensive lunch without the deal. Anyway, you order by going up to the servers at the front and pay there. Orders came quite quickly there were 12 of us but some orders were wrong. I had the chicken panko burger (panko breadcrumbs) was tasty had all the usual burger toppings (relish, lettuce, tomato etc). Also got a sauce free (usually £1) if we filled in feedback cards so we all did that. I had the BBQ sauce on the side was very authentic and lovely. There was a bottle of water and glasses on the table which were covered in fingerprints. My chair was sticky when i went to pull it in and our table was littered with random crumbs etc. All in all was pretty average my burger was nice and the deal was OK but not planning to return.

Visited in July. Food was good. However I find myself waiting 45 minutes for a frozen yogurt after asking for it I was spoken to rudely, questioning out I had even paid for it??

Was very please to see that they had an entirely separate allergen free menu. My son is intolerant to both dairy and wheat, and this was no problem at all for them. I loved the option to swap out a bun for a corn cob and coleslaw. I had the gluten free bun, which was perfectly nice with the burger (although was a little crumbly which is the norm for gluten free bread). Being able to choose which cheese to have is a nice touch. It was my first visit to the chain and so was caught out by not realizing chips had to be ordered separately. Overall, good quality if a bit pricey, nice for a treat though.

Piacevole ristorante "alla buona" dove è possibile mangiare hambuerger preparati con cura, con carne di buona qualità. Il menu è vario, ci sono davvero tanti tipi di panino: il tutto è servitor con vari tipi di contorno. Vi consiglio gli onion ring come antipasto da condividere. Davvero consigliato se siete in zona.

We visited this place last night around 9.30 pm although at the end of the evening the food was good and the servers friendly A rather rowdy customer walked in ( probably drunk) and the waiter apologised for the customer's behaviour a nice courtesy Anyway i ordered the veggie bean patty burger with chunky chips and my friend ordered a chicken burger with sweet potato fries both freshly made fresh cut salad too We had halloumi starter and strawberry juice Overall good experience, with friendly helpful staffCallum was our server thx again Will visit again

Used the app to order takeaway as they had loaded up a free burger onto my account as a promotion.On returning home, we opened the bag and found loads of boxes. It turns out we had an additional 3 chicken burgers on top of the 2 burgers we had actually ordered. Well, we assumed they were our burgers. One was definitely mine, as it had chorizo on it but we still were not 100% sure on the other one.However we also seemed to be missing an order of fries.We phoned up the store and they said they would give a refund, but we had to go to the store to get it. We ate the food we had, sadly the chicken burgers went to waste, I assume the people who ordered those had to wait longer for replacements.The burgers were good but the skinny fries were cold. I suppose this is the price we pay for getting takeaway and not eating instantly (only a five minute drive home though).Anyway, we got a full refund, on reflection although it was a mighty cock up, we did in essence get 3 chicken burgers and were only missing a £3 portion of fries, so to get £20+ back was probably more than generous from GBK. I guess we will give them another try at some point in the future.

Had a lovely bacon and cheese burger. You had a choice of cheese and how it was cooked although I asked for medium rare and it was at least medium if not well done. You do have to buy chips or sides separately but seen as it was my second visit and I've download their app I got a free side. There are free nuts to help yourself to in the restaurant as well as Mayo in a fridge and various other sauces.All in all a lovely burger and worth going, especially with the rewards.

Great staff great food , Thursday early evening , you know what your gonna get , a burger cooked the way you want it cooked . We will be back , it may seem like a lot of money for a burger , but you get what you pay for .

Had a great meal. A bit of a last minute decision so no booking but there was plenty of space. Service was good, very friendly and efficient with advice when needed. Ok it is a burger and I guess it is on the pricey side for some - but don't compare it with other fast food outlets it's not a fair contest! Among the number of similar style restaurants in MK, prices are comparable.

A great place to grab lunch with a few friends. All of our burgers arrived promptly with the sides with simply the best onion rings in town. A real pleasure and definitely going to become a habit

Dont really understand the logic of this place. Firstly the food was good, be it burgers but very nice burgers. However who came up with the customer experience needs to be reviewed! Firstly I asked if I could start a tab.... no , we dont do tabs or bills..... you have to pay as you go along! So bought the round of drinks and they came to the table, then went to pay for the food and then two more rounds of drinks. So I am up and down like a jack in the box, 4 transactions through the till and 4 receipts! Would not use again just on that basis, how it would work when they are busy I have no idea! Get table service and do the job properly, its not like they are cheap! £10 for a burger with no chips.......

Looked nice from outside so went in for a meal last Saturday 16th April 5 pm. Place was dirty. At least 6 or 7 tablesbhad not been cleared of food and drinks. There was food all over the floor that hadn't been cleaned up. Staff seemed to not be bothered they were just chatting. Asked to see the manager but she had gone out. I did explain to chap behind the till we weren't staying as place was so dirty and he apologised. Left without trying the food definitely won't be back.

Milkshakes? Tick. Modern? Tick. Free nuts? Tick. Funky burger combos? Tick. Convenient location? Tick. Probably the best burger in the best town in the best country.
