This place got character...the ciders pretty good though Their pizza without seasoning was too good , cheese nuggets was good as well .

I had high hopes of the ales here but tonight and 2 nights ago they had 2 boring unimpressive ales on tap with the same 2 better ales “coming soon”. If soon isn’t within 24 hours don’t mention them. Maybe they’ll be on at Christmas

Really enjoy coming to this pub with my partner. We always retrieve great service. A lady called Rihanna was very sweet and helpful and bubbly. Look forward to coming again.

Had a long day travelling up from Cardiff , checked into the Travelodge and was looking for somewhere just to get a bite to eat.. We entered as a group of 4 straight from our room to the pub/restaurant. We were rudely turned away from the bar as we entered to order a drink as apparently people matching our description were causing trouble on the Highstreet . We explained we had just left the hotel and walked 20 yards across the street to get something to eat as we got a big day ahead of us tomorrow . A very rude barman told us to leave as he couldn’t serve us . Our company has a 12 month contract with travelodge across the road, with 40 employees who will definitely not be eating or handing our money over to them . Rude rude staff !! Please stay away from this business !!!!

What a shame we really enjoyed our drinks then decided to have some food we ordered the Fish&chips platter and Steak&ale pie,my Fish&chips came without the sausage no curry sauce or bread,I complained by time I came I had nothing left to put my curry sauce on the portion of fish&chips was the smallest I have ever seen the fish was about a quarter the size that I expected a disgrace and the chips was enough for a 4 year old.Pathetic do not order the FISH&CHIPS.

If you want a bog standard boozer with sport and spoons esc environment. It will tick a box.

The attitude of some of the staff members is made the place not a nice place to go find somewhere else to go

Great place to meet up and ended up staying for longer then we thought, staff was cool aswell and door staff. Was busy but easy to get drink and dance with the DJ great night over all 👌 thank you

Pub is nice but had a bad experience when I was completely ignored after looking the bartender in the eye and the 2 gentlemen who came after me were served first. Pity because the pub seems well liked and busy.

Big old pub. Had Weatherspoons vibes. I was there during the day and was busy with a nice atmosphere but looks like it could get rowdy at night. Lots of shots and drinks promotions

Food was reasonable and the atmosphere was quite nice. Some of the staff didn't seem very engaged in serving customers and the tables could have been cleaned and tidied quicker. Not a bad place but could be better with just a little effort.

A week ago three of us where In Walthamstow. Visited the Goose early evening which was a pleasant and comfortable pub, drink prices reasonable and friendly staff, BUT, terrible food. One of our party was unwell that evening and the steak pie I had was soggy and tasted like it had been microwaved? served with chips and a tiny spoonful of peas and frankly only just about edible. We had a similar experience a few weeks earlier in the Golden Lion in Bexleyheath with the same pub chain. Staff are clearly not being managed or properly trained? Would pop in for again for a drink but not the food.

I popped in, on my own, for a soft drink as it was a hot day and I was thirsty. I also needed to use the toilet. The service was quick and friendly. I'll go again.

Great place next to the Walthamstow Central with very friendly staff. They have great deals on food and drinks. I love the small garden where you can go for a cigarette. The food is very good for a pub food, tasty and hot. I recommend the pub for sports lovers. Tv's are on every wall.

Good drinking venue. Noisy. Food was a disappointment. Microwave mash and peas dry and leek and chicken pie very average. Nice dish of gravy though. However, I did suffer with indigestion later.

Absent service, since our table was never cleaned up and I returned an empty glass at the desk. The food is 100% not prepared by them, since everything is evidently refrigerated and last but not least, the waitress were not that kind and gentle. In my humble opinion, one of, if not the, worst pub I've ever been it. Not a good way to spend my last night in London

Worst pub food ever! I spoke with the manager after our half-eaten meals and he graciously refunded. The bangers were ok but the mash which came with mine and my husband's meal is produced elsewhere and just reconstituted in the kitchen ie. Not nice soft fluffy mash as we all want but a coagulated hard lump on plate. My husband's pie was only half cooked. All the pastry on the outer edges was raw

Went for Sunday Roast, ordered hand carved pork, with golden roast pots , mash, rich red wine gravy. The chef clearly been to Iceland. All veg was undercooked as it was warm' the frozen roast pots were barely cooked and it was pork chops slapped on the plate with ordinary gravy no doubt Bisto. Really poorly cooked and not what they advertised.

Kai, Karl awesome !!!! But moody floor staff (she just looked like she hated everyone) ! Food awesome !!!! Drinks great ! But having food slapped down by a moody member of staff (female) ! Was what didn’t give this 5 stars ! She just looked like she’d rather bathe in lava than deal with people !

A young lady by the name of Elesha I believe served me very polite and pleasant she made my experience feel 10 out of 10 and also made my day I’ll definitely be visiting again !

I and My friends Went to the goose on Easter Monday. The staff and The atmosphere into the pub was good And the beer . We had steak and pine chips. But the pie was not very good I had to say it was very poor Food It cost us 7 pounds each For that price it wasn't very good was hardly no meat into the pie. Anything was good was to chips and the beer. I would be back to try the other food and still have that nice Italian beer

Nice pub. Clean and tidy. The staff is friendly and efficient. I didn't give 5 star because of the atmosphere of the pub. Inside is very cold and there are to many TV screen around all the time with some sport on it. Not my cup of tea. But still a nice place :).

We called in here for dinner and a drink one evening during over stay in London and were very pleased with our choice. The quality of the food being delivered to tables around us and the variety in their menu made it difficult to make a choice . The offer of a beef burger was served with possibly the best chips I have ever had . My husband ordered a sampling of the appetisers and everything was served hot and delivered with a smile. Very nice place , great food , good prices and great meal deals . Lovely staff - Patryk , Natalia and Ilona - friendly , polite and professional .

My friends & I met for drinks, and later ordered food. Staff was friendly and we were served quickly. As a vegan, I was happy with the choice of meals available. We ordered sharers and the portions were good size. The atmosphere was nice, good music, so all around a good night! Also, good value for money.

Absolutely cracking place!! Visited London walthamstow from Scotland for a friend's 30th get away and this pub was straight across from where we were staying at the travel lodge. What an amazing place. So lively and friendly and great prices! Cocktails are lovely and food is fab pub grub! The Staff are fantastic! So welcoming and friendly! What a privilege both Rob and Emily are the the stonegate group! Look forward to a visit the next time we are down!

Christmas 🎄 Catch Up So we booked a little Christmas catch up for 15 people for Saturday 11th December. I booked online to reserve our able and book our food in advance. What was nice was that Emily also contacted me directly from the Goose just to ensure my food was ordered in advance and if I needed any more information on drinks packages etc. When we arrived we were greeted by Emily (nice touch) and shown to out pre prepared area which was lovely. The tables were set out with Christmas crackers and Santa 🎅 hats and the buffet table was ready with cutlery and sauces. They asked when we wanted the food to ensure it was cooked and brought out when we wanted it and the chief (a lovely Irish lady, didn't catch her name) even popped out to make sure all was OK. For the amount of food we ordered (the silver buffet Christmas package) it was cooked nicely and warm. All the staff were absolutely lovely and really attentive (again special shout out to Emily, also to Robert) When we brought large rounds they brought them over to the table and made sure all was well. Great experience, everyone loved it. We've been visiting the pub for years, especially over the festive period and it was definitely the best experience yet 😀

Went to watch football on Sunday with some friends. The atmosphere was absolutely amazing! We felt welcomed and well treated by staff with table service! Great selection of lagers, crafts and casks. Fully recommend!

The lovely team went out of their way to make sure that my small group could watch the Wales V New Zealand Match, making a special little area, with a single screen showing the match, just for us. They were so attentive and friendly, and we had a lovely time, (despite the excruciating Welsh defeat!). We've been to a lot of pubs who have promised in advance to show a match, then completely reneged. But the team here were efficient and prepared... And lovely!

Real shame family reunion spoiled as my 17 year old son was not welcome after 7pm my daughter booked a table over the phone for 6:30 we paid a £25 deposit to secure the booking only when we arrived were we informed that my son would not be welcome after 7pm. I was told that we should have asked if they permit 17 year old after 7pm I feel that the duty is on them to inform surely.

So many places to choose from in Walthamstow but walked into this pub and really enjoyed it! Very nice and polite Staff and great food offers. My katsu chicken was amazing will definitely be back when next in the area.
